Nice place to drop off any and all your yard waste. Mulch seems to be a little questionable because of that but its recycling at its finest? Not totally clear where some types of waste is to be put. They have clearly large piles of very large tree cuttings and then a few what seems to be mixed use drop offs. Nothing clearly stating grass vs small branches or what size limb/trunk cutting they prefer to keep in the mixed use piles.

We make several yearly trips here to dump yard and garden waste in our pickup for a nominal fee. Staff always friendly and helpful..

If I could give a zero, I would. The customer service I received from the receptionist was absolutely horrible. I called in to get info on stone, and order whatever was best recommended. She was rushing me off the phone, stating, Were really busy so what do you want? and I can confirm that our entire conversation only lasted 3 minutes. It was beyond disrespectful and distasteful. In the end, she did not help me and I had to find a new vendor.

Holland Mulch was nothing less than wonderful to work with! Delivery was when they said would be and where we asked to have it dropped. The color was perfect and consistent throughout. I had a good experience at the Newark office. Every year I order mulch to be delivered to my house and it is always such an easy process. I go into the office give the lady my measurements than place the order and it is always on time. They work with you to be able to get your delivery the time that you need it. They have great quality mulch and are very friendly people!

Purchased topsoil saturday morning. Topsoil contained at least 20% mulch. Needed an additional pickup truck load at lunch and went back prior to lunch before they closed. This load consisted of at least 40% mulch. Many pieces of tree limbs and wood chips.My son did not know the difference and spread the topsoil across the front of the house. Instead of the topsoil settling and firming up when it rains, it feels as if you are walking on a sponge.Will not go back. Receptionist is very pleasant but the other office personnel act as though they are doing you a favor to sell you their product.Have been there 2x before and same type of attitude. This is their strike 3 and I can buy my landscape supplies someplace else.Purchased mulch previously and had large pieces of wood pallets and 2x4 slivers in the mulch.My recommendation: Purchase your supplies someplace else that appreciates your business.

Holland Mulch is a reliable seller of material and will drop bulk material as instructed which is not entirely common. They do deal in recycled goods which is great but it makes a mess of their yard so dont go there in a car or you might get stuck and make sure you ask about the quality of the material or better yet view it for yourself as the product changes with the availability of material. I have never had an issue with them but I have opted to get topsoil and mulch at other dealers on the rare occasion that I did not like what they had on hand once or twice.

What a great local soil and mulch business! The service was friendly and effective. This was for a big community project and it was delivered on time. Thank you Holland Mulch from the Bellevue Community Center. We will be back!

Top down, father and son are both flat-out JERKS. This place has a contract with the State of DE as a public yard waste site, plus they get free raw product from us homeowners, that they then turn into mulch/compost/soil to sell. And now, theyre charging to dump yard waste. So, revenue from four sources and pretty much making money hand over fist, but theyre MISERABLE, and quick to fly off the handle. Ive dealt with both for years, but now go elsewhere. I realize theyre in a $hit business, but at least smile since youre laughing all the way to the bank.

John Jr. At Holland graciously donated two whole truck loads of much to our non-profit pool for the summer. Cant thank them enough for helping us upgrade our look!

Good place to dump yard waste, but dont buy the mulch. Bought black mulch and after 1st rain almost all the dye came off. Called the office and no resolution was offered. Horrible!

Best place to get any kind of mulch stone or Hardscape

As of 10/31/15, Hollands website clearly states that their hours of operation are 0730 to 1300. I showed up to dump leaves within the hours of operation and was turned away at the gate. The employee (possibly the owner) stated that the collection site closed at noon. When I explained that their website is misleading he did not address the problem and turned me away. He was dismissive and not helpful in any way. I will purchase my mulch elsewhere from this point forward. I do not support local business that does not provide excellent customer service to their repeat customers.

I have nothing but great experiences with Holland Mulch. The website and the sign at the front gate plainly display the correct hours of operation. Dont understand what the last reviewers issue was; but I am sure it was a misunderstanding.

Horrible experience, the staff is unpleasant EVERYONE is constantly playing on their phones while theyre in the middle of talking to you, and whats up with the charging to dispose waste now? I know they dont charge much but youre making money off of it anyway! I can even get over that if I didnt feel like I was gonna be talked down to by the drug addicts that work in the yard! Its a shame, next time Ill drive the extra few miles to get my landscaping products.

Will never go back when they they want to charge the home owner to dump yard waste. I left and my waste went elsewhere. Used to get mulch there no more now.
