Had lunch with a friend and everything was excellent. The waiter was great and the combination of the spinach salad with grilled chicken and the delicious corn chowder was perfect as was the lower patio. I love that there is so much outdoor space in which to eat.
I loved this spot! Great place to walk around, shop, eat, and explore. The gardens were incredible! Dough Joes had some really great coffee and the restaurants are really good too. The waterfall is beautiful. My only complaint is that everything was spaced out pretty far apart. Other than that, this is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon!
Their lunch specials are such a budget friendly price. Weve been several times because their food is scrumptious. I especially like their drunken noodle dish and the thai curry. It is a good place to go if you are vegetarian or vegan as well for meat eaters. They are accurate in the time they say for pick-up. I highly recommend dining here.
Compact Garden. Excellent layout of various specimen plantings, gazebo, trellis and pathways. Worth a visit if youre in the area.
Ate at the village tavern. A long wait. They offer no reservations. Good was ok, I had fish that has way too much salt and to many capers. But the outside dining was very enjoyable.
Favorite destination in Winston Salem. Beautiful gardens, grounds, and Cottage.
Went to Silo Bistro and Bar prior to taking the nice nature walk into the Wake Forest Campus. Silo was great. Good food and drinks, great music and efficient and friendly staff. This village was a great first stop before walking into the campus. Beautiful short trail. No way to miss the campus. I definitely suggest parking here, relaxing for a minute with a snack and drink then walking into the campus.
Super nice place to visit and walk through the area
Reynolda Village has multiple restaurants for a range of tastes and budgets. I am partial to Penny Crapes. We eat out doors and all the restaurants have opportunities for outdoor dining.
Monkees is a first class, upscale womens boutique and brunch on the Village Tavern patio never disappoints. Add a walk of the expansive grounds before or after and youll have had yourself a delightful day.
Love Penny Path Crepes and Village Tavern here. Such a beautiful area to eat and then either walk the fantastic trails or gardens!
I would only go back if I wanted to eat at a certain restaurant or shop at a certain store, it wasnt the browsing I thought it would be. Would not recommend if what you want to do is casually wander through stores, there just isnt that much to see and while the shops are high end they dont offer anything that unique. This is specifically regarding the village shops, not the grounds/park area, I would definitely go to the flower garden and house to wander.
Interesting architecture and beautiful gardens. Convenient access to restaurants, expansive lawns, walking trails, and Reynolda House. A short walk leads to the campus of Wake Forest University.
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. STEAK TACOS ARE ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!! MELT IN YOUR MOUTH
Lovely for lunch and dining al fresco when visiting the Reynolda House and gardens. Perfect day if the weather is nice.
Cute little shopping area with a great coffee shop. Love the gardens and green house. Grab some coffee and sit outside and enjoy the day. Lovely area.
Love coming here. Great place to come eat, have a drink and walk around in the beautiful gardens. Great place to spend time with your significant other.
Great food at village tavern, nice to walk around the gardens. Worth a visit.
Beautiful grounds and paths for walking from shops through Reynolda Garden and up to the Reynolda House. May Way, Penny Path, Dough Joes and Village Tavern are all great.
I love eating outside at Village Tavern. For me, its just about the best dining experience in Winston-Salem. They consistently do a good job.
It is very nice to walk around .
Told 20 min wait and was seated in less than 10 min.Food is awesome and the service terrific 👍
Beautiful as always! Along with the inconsiderate who stand in the way of vehicles. 😊
A pleasant and enjoyable place to visit next to Reynolda House.
Great little shopping center and trails - whether youre going for coffee and a doughnut, a nice meal, a stroll through the park, or a long run, its hard to beat Reynolda village.
Botanical garden is beautiful and I got to pet a hummingbird 🤗
I took a friend here for lunch because it is a special place I like to show. Food was great at Village Tavern.
Great place. Original VT
The Service first of all was excellent... Dinner at Village Tavern atmosphere was relaxed, and classy. They had outdoor seating with great social distancing. The food was really good...filet mignon tacos, black beans and rice. Yummy. Pear Martini sweet but good...the pear was scrumptious!
Such a great experience. Owner was wonderful, engaging our group in their projects, supporting our ideas and giving us pointers. We were doing a bday activity and it was such a great experience!!!
Just a very nice relaxing place
Our waiter was wonderful and even though it took about 45 minutes to get our food, all was delicious.
Great place to walk, enjoy gardens, hang out in coffee shop using Wi-Fi or shop. A little too boutique-ey for my tastes, but high quality merchandise. Favorite was finding a bench in a,shady spot to enjoy a good book
Service and food were outstanding.
Had the best glazed salmon Ive eaten. Waitress was friendly and did an excellent serving job.
Went to Penny Path Café & Crêpe Shop, and loved it. Cant wait to go again.
Its beautiful I love the stores and restaurants I totally recommend checking it out
Lovely venue, the bar area was awesome!
Unique place to shop and eat.
Nice shops including my new favorite Coffee shop Dough-Joes right next to Wake Forest University.
Bring back the Village Soda Shop!! Some of, if not the best, grilled cheese or egg salad sandwiches and cherry cokes or limeades around!! Grew up going there on a weekly basis.
Food was great.Arrogant pompous waiters.Waitresses were extremely nice.
Waited way too long for our entree. Bacon jam burger was OK. Braised meatball skillet was not. Meatballs over done and grits were underdone
Baja fish tacos with black beans and rice. Nice outdoor patio, good location if you want to go walking around the gardens after eating.
Elegant shopping and dining. Whether Im down or out I feel like Im in Beverly hills.
Parking was problematic and its not always clear how to get in and out of the area. However, it is a nice area to walk around in.
Great food and service at the Tavern. Interesting and high quantity shops. Near Reynolda House...a great tour of RJ Reynolds home, founder of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co.
Nice variety of shops and restaurants. Beautiful landscaping.
Always good food and cocktails. Bartenders very friendly and give personalized service.
Cute shops, nice walking around. The gardens are amazing.
What happened to the Deacon club sandwich he used to be a wonderful family now its kind of tacky......
Village Tavern, such a nice space in Winston-Salem to eat lunch ❣️
It is an intimate spot that has great food and atmosphere. I loved it! First time patron.
Good dinner after nice garden walk
Ate at Village Tavern. Always great food and service.
Great place for a day visit. Visit this historical village, eat lunch at Village Tavern and shop in the village stores.

Unique shops.
Great outdoor covered seating. Heaters available for colder weather. Excellent craft cocktails.

Such a amazing place to eat, shop, enjoy a day.
Friendly tour and good places to eat.
One of my favorite places in Winston-Salem bring guests with you they will thank you!
Charming shopping area on the grounds of Reynolda House. Great shopping, food, and services.
Great walking trail, meticulously maintained!
My family has quite a bit memories here.
I loved the heated enclosed tents!!! Everything was wonderful!!! Cant wait to return!!
This is a hidden gem in winston salem, the fields and gardens alone are worth a visit. Combine that with the small shops they have there and you can easily lose a day without even touring the Reynolda house. Best boba tea in the entire city, hands down at Mayway Dumplings! Its always quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to spend a morning or afternoon. So many shops and good food places hidden in here just waiting to be discovered.
Such a nice place to visit
Very nice walking area!
Neat little park area with great food.
Mostly window shopped due to time constraints, but enjoyed it!
Beautiful place for a bite to eat or a walk in the gardens.
Great place to shop and eat
This place has a little bit of everything including the village tavern that has that amazing food everyone should try. They also have a gluten free options as well. There is also a salon, shopping stores, and
Great shopping with the wife.
Lunch at Village Tavern always great! Reynolda House is open again!
Had lunch at Village Tavern.
Really nice place to spend a couple of hours walking around.
Village Tavern food is amazing and they have fun drinks!!
Not much to do, you can walk around I suppose.
Great place to visit
Reynolda Village wasnt what I had hoped it would be. Im sure it was charming in its heyday, but not so much now. Sadly, it has become a bit tired and somewhat neglected looking. Some of the stores looked unoccupied and the merchandise in several of them looked dated. Hopefully, someone will buy it and restore this formally grand bit of southern history.
Village Tavern was amazing.
Food & service at Village Taveren always tops!!!!
Visited the Village Fabric Shop, and Heather, one of the new owners, was the perfect hostess. So helpful & full of energy. Cute shop specializing in modern fabrics and loads of patterns for quilting and sewing adorable totes & childrens clothing. Great location, next time Ill be sure to allot time to hit some of the other shops and have lunch.
We love going through the gardens, which is free, and then having a nice lunch at the Village Tavern. Makes a great Saturday or Sunday
Theres your new shop Penny Lane Crepes and coffee. Choice of savory or sweet crepes and a full coffee bar. Place was hopping with people families couples college students. Whats your fifth day open. And for the staff available was a great job. Love the atmosphere

Wonderful atmosphere.
Nice place and area
Mayway dumpling house . . . Best dumplings in town! Cold noodles are great. Fast service! Sitting area is small so many people take out. Prices are very reasonable. Love it!
I love the Village Tavern!
