Didnt provide a service estimate prior to work being performed. Doubled the labor rate because I brought my own parts. Very frustrating. Would not recommend.

I made an online appointment a day in advance.I had some difficulty locating the business. The overgrown landscaping makes the building appear abandoned. There were no other vehicles in the lot or in the open service bay.When I entered and stated I had an appointment, I was told I was early and would have to wait for my appointment time. Even though the building was otherwise abandoned. I then had to give all the details I had given online again which used up most of the wait time for my appointment to start.Once they brought my vehicle in, they very quickly came and told me that my front brakes were new but I needed to service my rear brakes. I found this odd since I have never had the brakes serviced since buying the vehicle new almost 100k miles ago. I restated my concern that brought me in being noise from the front of the vehicle and was given an odd explanation without an attempt to identify the source of my complaint.I then paid $30 for the inspection that had been performed and decided to take my vehicle elsewhere. On return of my vehicle, the front right corner of the bumper looked scuffed. It did not look like that when I turned the keys over.TLDR - I paid $30 for them to scuff my bumper and do a cursory inspection that had nonsensical results. I took my business elsewhere.

I went in for a brake inspection. They were so quick and friendly. They told me my brakes were in great shape and it wasn’t expensive at all. I’ve found a new car place!

FALSE ADVERTISING. Stay away from this place. Brandon and Dale were very unprofessional. They refused to use a coupon for a $19.99 oil change(which I was using for years) due to high oil prices. This coupon was still valid and listed on their website. This is false advertising to get you in and then charge you $50. Fraudulent place...stay away.Edited to add: I already called customer service to file a complaint. I was told I would receive a call within 48 hours....a week later and nothing. Once again stay away from this place

George was great! He explained everything and was very thorough. He was professional and kind! I requested a wheel alignment and he asked me why I thought that I needed it. I told him that I recently got 4 new tires installed and thought that I needed one. He told me that he drove my truck and there was no pulling so I did not need a wheel alignment. Most other shops would have said ok and took my $200!! I appreciate George’s honesty and for that I will definitely return when my vehicles need service or repairs!! Had a stuck lug nut that absolutely would not come off. After visiting 3 different tire shops we were referred to this Meineke from Discount Tire.George and his team were awesome and finally got it off. The guys communicated every step of the way what our options were and the outcome was very affordable.With so many new repair shops popping up in town I trust these guys. Theyre a hidden gem.

All I had done was a state inspection on my VW TDI but after my experience there, I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else after having gone there.

The service is impeccable. I received same day service for brake and rotor replacement on my daughter’s Jeep. I received 2 phone calls updating me on issues found and recommendations. The cost was lower than expected.I am a customer for life! Highly recommend!

I have really bad experience at Wylie Meineke Auto repair shop and will never go back again and will not recommend to anyone else to this business!! I went check my car A/C and present coupons at front desk and it’s clearly says free AC check. Once they looked at the AC they ask me to pay 94$ and three different people came to explain about changes the work I did not ask to do and even one guy rudely told me not to release my car and coupons are just Meineke corporate things we can’t use them. They should let me know about this policy and total charges before they start working on my car!!

The gentleman running the service desk was very nice and customer oriented. I was a walk-in for a state inspection and had not been there before. I can’t speak to there mechanical work. I would like to commend the front desk man as I heard him work with other customers to take care of whatever situation they had. Good service is important and he delivered it! Ample waiting area was clean and had TV and kids table.

I had an appointment scheduled for an oil change at 2:30pm. I arrived at 2:25pm and they started promptly. Their website says that they had a coupon for a Basic Oil Change, priced at $18, so that is what i was expecting. Turns out, this location in Wylie doesn’t accept these because they are a Franchise location, instead of a Corporate location. Therefore, i was forced to pay $50+ for an oil change, that was marketed as $18. I am not unhappy with the job that they did, by any means. I’m just dumbfounded about the fact that they advertise these savings on their website, but they do not honor them in-store.Peace and Love.

I had my daughter take car in for an oil change and tire rotation. After they finished, the car was leaking oil and they broke off a lug nut. This used to be an awesome shop, but now they dont take the Mieneke coupons, and their work has gone downhill. They didnt even top off her windshield washer fluid. We do not plan to return.

If you are a single woman entering this business be on notice they will immediately treat you differently. I was met at the front desk by a condescending manager that completely discredited my concern about brake service that was needed. When I was called regarding the diagnosis of my issues I was told there was “nothing mechanically wrong” with my car and that I could pick it up. Upon arrival to pick it up I was handed a receipt that said Cylinder Replacement was “recommended but customer declined” Knowing that I had not ever declined a service I inquired further and was again told there was nothing wrong with the car. I asked for the reason the replacement was noted on the receipt and the manager became irate saying NO! NO! NO! to his worker that was attempting to reprint my adjusted receipt. He then refused to put in writing that nothing was wrong with my car. Something screams SHADY here and the manager was BEYOND unprofessional. Do not give these people your business!

Meineke was great! It was hard to find so that’s not good but the associates were kind and knowledgeable. The lead tech was knowledgeable but a little testy and impatient.The price was reasonable.3/2021Meineke for The Win AGAIN!I have a Volvo SUV. The parts are incredibly hard to find outside of the dealership. After receiving several quotes, I chose Meineke. The prices are fair, their work is terrific, and the mechanics are very knowledgeable. They do their very best to educate you about what you need and why. They do not treat you differently because you are a woman. They are very respectful and considerate. I’m so glad I chose them again. I saved quite a bit of money and my car runs better than new!You’ll like them too!

I came here for a break inspection and they told me that I need a new set of rotors and pads for both axles front and back. Meanwhile Im here I thought of getting the oil change as well full synthetic in my Lexus LS460 and I will say that the boss man Alex hes very nice and respectful and great customer service indeed. Done, beware people.I have 3 cars that I have taken here for a long time. Today...simple oil change and leave with esc light on. My service engine light was on but this always comes on when its due for an oil change. The low tire was still on and the fluids low. They charged 37.00 and do very minimal. Im outTo many place that want my business. You guys are really loosing it.

On May 2020 I had a horrible experience with this shop for making me wait for more than an hour for just a vehicle inspection even if I had set an appointment with them. One customer after another customer was passing me by until they took me in. It was good that Jeremy was there to help me out.Secondly, I reported an oil leak underneathand asked for a check up so they set me up and advised me that it had to be degreased to be able to spot the leak of origins. I agreed and paid for the service without hesitation.Since I had a bad experience on them, I opted to look for a second opinion at another shop and just told me that there was no problem. The only problem was that the plug was improperly put back and the technician didn’t put a gasket on it. And this was the last shop who did the oil change.I could never imagine being a regular customer for years I would be treated that way.Very Poor Service by the man in front and the technician and inconsiderate to patrons.I missed the old owner who used to run the business.

Saved me a ton of money. Had been told by another company that I needed rear brakes replaced. Went to Meineke to have it done, they found I did not need replacements, and informed me. Love the honesty. Will return for next set of repairs needed.

My wife had walked into here earlier this afternoon because her check engine light came on while I was at work. She ends up getting a bill for around $500 and apparently was trying to leave but the manager at this location informed her that if she doesnt get it fixed right now it could cause major damage to the car.The only thing damage that was caused was the $700 bill for Thermostat Housing Replacement!?If anyone doesnt have much knowledge on cars stay away from this place they take advantage of the uninformed and will continue to rack up charges on the vulnerable.The thing that gets me the most is not just the insane overpricing when they took advantage of my wife. It baffles me the fact they would use scare tactics on someone who was already scared and didnt know what to do!

I have been going to this location in Wylie, TX for years. On this visit I noted a complete change in Personnel and possibly ownership. I was there for an Oil Change, Rotate Tires and top off all fluid levels. The Tech brought the car around upon completion. However, it seemed a bit fast. I question if they had rotated the tires. They Forgot...They did go back and complete the job.Upon leaving, I was going to pay by Credit Card as usual. This time I was informed that they now charge a Credit Card Service Fee. I paid cash instead. This to me is a poor customer experience. If they are so concerned about a Merchant Credit Card Fee Transaction, they should “Price It In” their overall Cost of doing Business.

I loved this location when they first opened. Quick service and great location for a busy mom, plus the guy at the front desk was super nice. I could drop off my car and walk across the parking lot to ALDI to do some shopping, and the car was done by the time I got back.Now, it’s hours to get the job done even if you make an appointment. They do NOT honor their own coupons in the app. For my “$19.95 oil change coupon”, I paid just under $35. That’s false advertisement at its best. They blamed it on higher oil prices and corporate having the wrong coupon, but yet the coupon had NOT been changed so again false advertising which should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission. It’s just bad business. Anyway, after years of going there, yesterday was my last time. I’m done waiting hours and hours for an oil change and then being charged a different price than advertised.

Had tires rotated and rear shocks replaced. Service took 2 hours longer than quoted. Parts were not ordered in a timely manner, which added to the delay. Shop staff were not informative on the status or any issues. Work WAS done to the correct specifications. If you are able to do without your vehicle then I suggest dropping off and not waiting.

I have my doubts about this place, my wife took my Honda for transmission fluid flush and oil change few months ago and this service was smooth and no issues till now. after few days i asked my wife to take my Toyota for an oil change, service was done quick and they applied coupon too, we were happy that we found reasonable and quality service center near to our home. After one week of oil change on my Toyota every morning when i take out the car i see a drop of oil on the ground, i didnt paid much attention but when i went for a vacation and came back i see a small puddle of oil on the floor, then i took my cell phone camera to capture the photo i attached, If any one with basic idea of car repair can tell you that some one who did the oil change didnt do a good job with plugging the screw back. I asked my wife to take car to this service center to check on it, they made her wait for around 2 hours and after that they told her that they cant figure out where the oil leak is from asked here to pay $95 to conduct a checkup. When my wife told me this over the phone i asked her to get the car keys and leave that place.Next day i took it to toyota service center for checkup, the technician checked this and told me that there is a possibility that i might have to change the oil pan because of the previous service issue, but he will try to do an oil change and plug the screw in and see what happens. After some time he did the service and told me that he was able to fix the issue and it was a $40 as regular oil change after $10 coupon.i sent an email to customer service but no response till now.So you decide if you want to trust this service center or not. I am not going to this place again !!! Some one can do a mistake, but when they were given a second chance they have to make it right but it didnt happen in my caseAdded pics before and after for your reference.so what do you think?

Fast oil change. They sent me a coupon for $24.95 oil change or 25% off oil service with the closest location to me listed on the coupon. Went to use the coupon and they didn’t accept it. It was for “participating locations only”. Classic bait and switch. Do better Meineke.

I have seen while waiting in the waiting room the manger pissing off customers by doing work the customer didnt ask for then threatening to call the police and keep his keys if he didnt pay. They dont check fluids that they are supposed to and the business is all around pretty shady. There are plenty of other mechanics to go to in the area, I recommend looking there first.

Went for an oil change with no check engine light on when I parked. After 2.5 hours wait, while they pull apart almost every component to try to up-sale me some extra repair, I was told my belt was squealing, of which I replied I was already aware of it. She returned my keys. I started my car and noticed the check engine light on. Confronted them about this and they told me the light was already on, which was a lie. Open the hood and noticed the air intake hose had a crack in it, which was the cause of the check engine light. They had to remove the air intake hose to get to the air filter, which they always check, trying to sell you a replacement. No one, including the manager would own up to their error. I will never go back to Meineke, especially the one in Wiley tx, and would warn everyone to stay away if you dont want to be ripped off. P.S. I would give them zero stars, but the app will not let me.

I have been bringing my car here for years. Prior to a change in management, their customer service was great. Not so anymore the past two times Ive gone in for service. I have tried to use coupons that show to be valid for the Wylie location however, the same older gentleman at the counter would not accept for one reason or another. This last time he said I would need to purchase an entire package in order to use my oil change coupon. I explained that I had recently purchased two new tires so I did not need a tire rotation. Previous management would have appreciated a long time client but the lack of concern from this gentleman at the counter and the lack of response from current management is disappointing to say the least. You would think they would value their customers. Needless to say, I walked out and went right down the street where the customer service was great! No longer a Meineke customer and disappointed in their poor customer service. It was much better when Ronnie owned the location.

The employees went above and beyond for the care of my car. They put my front license plate on for me since Ive just recently moved from out of state. They also put air in my tires (in order to read my miles on the odometer) and all I went in for was an oil change. All employees were very friendly and courteous as well. Meineke will most likely be my go-to for all of my car services.

Did a great job. I always love them. They are always friendly and kind. They might be careful with what they say in front of the customer. However, this is probably just one bad day.

Wasnt a good visit. When the gentleman was finished with my oil change he told me he spilled some oil on my engine. He told me I might see some oil spots for a day. He also said he cleaned it up the best he could. Sloppy job.

This is my go-to place for auto repair. Fast, friendly, and local. Sometimes not the best prices, but they get the job done. They are busiest on Saturdays, so try to avoid that time.

My brakes went completely out and I rolled into the shop right before closing. They were so great. They let my dogs come inside with me and wait in the lobby. Called in a rush order for a new brake line and worked well past closing to make sure I was safe!! Nationwide name with a local town mentality.The techs and management at this location care.If you have a problem or concern, approach the team and discuss it. The manager saw that the dealership could do the brake service for cheaper and they did what any honest shop would do and found the parts and time estimate that more closely fit my exact repair cost.They utilize a very nice system that will email or text you as your vehicle makes its way through the inspection and repair process. It made the whole day much easier to plan around drop off and pick up.I also loved that they checked their own website to make sure there weren’t extra coupons I was missing out on.I really trust the team here and am a happy Meineke Car Care Center customer.

I had an engine light on and my car wouldn’t start. It was late so I had someone jump it off, and I went to an Auto Parts Store that determines my battery was dead. They replaced it, but I still had an engine light on, so the tested it and told me the code indicate a throttle pressure sensor, so I was expecting an expensive trip to the mechanic. Everyone at Meineke was super helpful every step of the way and asked me what all had happened prior, and said they’d put it on their diagnostic machine, which costs about $89 to see what’s really wrong. They called me after about an hour to tell me that the error code was not real, but that the battery replacements sometimes signal false errors, and that the car just has to be reset. I picked up my car after they had done the oil change, I had requested, and they only charged me for the oil change, and no other fees for the diagnostic or the reset. I was so happy that I didn’t incur any additional costs by Meineke, as the could have chosen to charge me. The made me feel like family, and that’s rare these days. We feel so lucky to have Meineke in our Wylie neighborhood. Thanks Brock!!

My go to place for auto repairs.

I would only use them for oil changes. I have a fleet truck that Has had oil changes with no issues. I went in for an inspection and they said 20 min then another 20 min. Finally at an hour I left. Time management is not their strong suit.The other thing that bothered me was a guy came in with a AC not blowing cold problem. They checked and the system was showing high pressures on both high and low sides of the system. The answer would be to let some refrigerant out to see if the system was over charged first. (Per the guys words at the front desk) They suggested the customer pay 160 dollars to recharge the whole system. That was wrong in my eyes.Take this post for what you will.

I have never had oil change that took so long even with appointment! From 1045am to 230pm....so wrong! Be mindful of your customers time.

Meineke on FM 544 in Wylie is my new full service auto mechanic shop! One of my neighbors recommended this store when I was stuck on the side of the road at 450AM yesterday. He told me his church member owns this location. I had trouble with Nissan for a while and couldnt get anyone on the phone to answer simple questions about my car. I called Meineke as soon as the store opened and the owner, Ronnie, answered on the first ring! He was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. He also quoted me a price lower than Nissan did. I didnt tell him the previous quote because I wanted to see what the uninfluenced price would be. Ronnie didnt disappoint. They didnt try to nickel and dime me. They didnt give the, Your car will die if you dont get this added service speech. The customer service was amazing. Ms. Wendy is a pro and she makes you feel like you were in a 5-star car spa! She and Daniel are the friendliest front desk experts Ive met. It was like walking into auto heaven!!I am so happy I decided to bring my car to Ronnie instead of Nissan! Never again will I drive to Richardson for sub par service when I can get excellent service in my neighborhood! Im so blessed to have been in the right place to run into the man who turned me on to this store! Good bye Nissan crooks. Extremely satisfied customer!

Scheduled an oil change, break check and tire rotation at 8am on Saturday, instead was told upon dropping it off that they had no one to start working on it until 10am. My husband waited for over 3 hours for it to still not be done. He came home and got a call that they popped my tire and scratched my rim. They said I will have to wait until Tuesday to get a tire and pick it up. I am 9 months pregnant so that is not acceptable. I told them I needed it same day. They magically got me a new tire and said I had to come back the following Monday to get my rim fixed. Dropped it off Monday expecting it to be done same day only for them to call and say it was going to be done Tuesday. I have now taking off work two days. I call to get an update on my car and they said its ready. I drive down and its not ready and the spare is still on! I now have to wait another 30 minutes to get my car. Got my car and the tire sensor was on and was reading 11psi on the new tire recently installed due to them popping mine. The managers response was to just drive it and it will reset, if it doesnt then the sensor is broken and bring it back.. well guess what, he knew the sensor was broke and sent me away anyways. Never reset and now I am pregnant driving around with a tire that I have no confidence in and have no idea what kind of pressure it has in it... Disappointed beyond belief and will never take any vehicles here or recommend again. Now I will have to pay out of pocket to get my tire sensor replaced because I cannot trust this place at all.

I MADE 5 TRIPS TO THIS LOCATION FOR THE SAME ISSUE MY 2013 ACCORD HAD WITH THE ALIGNMENT. STILL DIDNT FIX IT.I had the worse experience at this location of Meineke. Please do yourself a favor and dont go to this location for anything. They told me to replace parts which werent faulty. Ive been going there for 2 years for oil change and other maintenance because its closest to my house. But theyll do whatever they can to rip you off. They made me replace my new tires which werent faulty at all. I had to pay for the tires which were in best shape just 8 months old. And the issue still didnt resolved.They just couldnt figure out what was wrong with the alignment. Keep sending me back and asked me to wait for the technician Joe. When he came back he gave me a new repair cost of around $350. It was super frustrating. GUYS if you think your time and money is valuable which Im sure you do then JUST DONT GO THERE!!

After 5 years of coming here im sad to say that i will only come back here 1 more time. Was not impressed with the new managment at all and am not happy that i will not be getting the last of my 5 pack oil change honored. So after leaving this review i returned 1 more time and lets just say that it was not pleasant to say the least. Never will i go there again

Went to check an issue i have with my car. Received good service and the information i needed. Kindly of them, since i wanted a specific thing checked out, it wasn’t considered as diagnose. Therefore, i wasn’t charged for it, technician was very informative and explained his claim with good logic that made sense to me. Nonetheless, the two working at the service desk were helpful and good people. Overall, Good place with reasonable labor prices, but expensive parts cost. Though, you can find the parts yourself and have them install so it’s all good.

I have an appointment for oil change when I arrived still waited 3 hours. Then when a check my hood at home i saw oil leak all oven my engine, like someone pour an oil without letting me know. Try to call the the place but look like they don’t want to talk to me and put me on hold for so long. Very unhappy. Cannot recommend this place anymore. This is in Wylie, Tx location.

Id now consider coming back to this shop when I need something done.I had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Wylie Meineke. They were offering a free A/C check, so I left my 2006 Scion xA with them. My car squeals when I am stopped and turn on the A/C. The noise is not there when I am moving. I get a call from the front desk worker who said my car was squeaking because I was low on freon. I was skeptical because most people told me it was my alternator belt, but the worker assured me well take care of you. The A/C recharge will stop the squeaking. He also told me that up to one pound of freon is free, and my car wouldnt need more than that.I get my car back and the technician tells me they did the A/C recharge successfully, and very casually and quickly mentions that my alternator belt was loose and the mechanic tightened it for free. But the $25 extra charge for freon was unexpected and should have been discussed with me before they did it. I go home and the very next morning, the squeaking is back. I leave my car with the same Meineke, and I get a call saying they couldnt duplicate the problem. I get the car back AND HEAR MORE SQUEAKING. I took videos so that I have documented proof that I was lied to.I have since spoken to two other repair centers and both told me it sounds like they saw the alternator belt was loose, tightened it up, and charged you for a more expensive service. The cherry on top is that the paperwork left by the mechanic said Could not duplicate problem. If squeaking persists, replace alternator belt. Thats a huge slap in the face, considering they told me that the A/C recharge would fix my issue, and that it was NOT my alternator belt. So now Im out $100 for a service I didnt need, with the same problem that I went in to have fixed. If someone could e-mail me back, Id be happy to explain this more thoroughly so that I can be reimbursed, or get a credit so I can go to a different Meineke to have my alternator belt replaced. I no longer trust the Wylie location.

Misdiagnosis and Over charged.I had plan for family road trip during christmas season but I had front brake issue -Sounds comming from drivers side wheel- so requested to check whole of brake system and replace brakes if needed but they dignosised as minor problem on front brake and no need to repair but recommanded to replace rear brake pads. I agreed and $401.64 was charged. I believed them because they guranteed the service.During family trip, happened as shaking handel when braking on downslope or between 50 and 80 miles. I was close to accident.I visited again the Meineke after backed to home. They diagnosis again and said need to replace front rotor for $1,399. After my complaint, manager offered to me $1,196.33 included manager discount. The manger told me You didnt mention your handle was shaking when braking between 50 and 80 mile so it is not our fault. I was upset but they never agreed about their mistake.I visied Honda dealer and showed what they charged.Honda service advisoar said No required to replace rotor if miles are around 50,000 and only resurface and reaplace brake pad. Price is only $299.After their diagnosis, found both inner tie rods worn.It was still under warranty and free to charge.Honda said Dont go Meineke Car Care Center. They trying to put it on.If I belived them and paid $1,196.33 again, might be still faceing the issue.

Took our car in because the rear brakes were making a grinding noise. They could have sold us brakes because we thought they were needed. They called in about an hour explaining that the brakes were fine and because it was a European car, it was normal. Thats honesty. We will be back for other services.
