I have lived in York on and off since 1985. I have often bought cars from the big dealer in the county but never from Thornton. Its not that I had anything against them, it just didnt come to mind for some reason. That being said I was going through cars.com and came across the Tacoma pick up I was looking for and it was at Thornton on Whiteford Rd next to the Ford dealer.I ended up having Tom Smith as my salesman. I will tell you usually I HATE the car buying process. This is possibly the first time that I can honestly say it was painless. Tom had my car waiting when I came to test drive. Then when it came time for my trade I told him the number I would take and I wouldnt come off that number by even $20. He didnt try and strong arm me, he made it happen.Then when I came to pick it up, the Truck was ready to leave, he was very organized with the sales paperwork. Believe it or not he got me out very quickly. They didnt try and play games with the interest rate. If I didnt want an extended warranty he didnt bash me. Every single thing went great.Though I havent purchased from them before, they and Tom will be my first stop from here on out. The manager Zack was awesome too.

The sale went fine. After the sale it fell apart. I bought a 2016 Silverado from them in September of 2020 I love my truck. Less than one month after purchasing the truck my transmission slipped. I did not purchase the extended warranty with them. I called and set up and appointment to have it looked at. Mind you it was still under a 90 day warranty at the time. After they looked at it they could not duplicate the problem I was having but my salesman told and assured me as long as it was on paper they would cover it. Less than one month later. It did the same thing and I got a check engine light. By the time I got to them less than a week it went out and they could not duplicate it again or find code in history. So I went out and bought a code reader so if it happened again I could send it to them. Well just yesterday it did I called service and got know help they told to call my salesman I did got know help I called his manager got know help and I called and left a voicemail with owner got know help. So don’t buy from this company they don’t stand behind their word. When you say you will do something do it don’t just say something and back you have lost s and my family as clients

If I could give them less than one star, I would. I contacted them and told them what I was looking for, and what my budget was. Rather than being honest and telling me they could not fit my needs, they showed me cars that were nothing like what I was looking for and were way outside my budget. When I told them I would not be giving them my business, they ran my credit 6-7 times for cars I didn’t even apply for.

Excellent Service staff. They go above and beyond to make sure your car is done right( inspections) at a reasonable cost and timeframe. I would recommend Thorton service 100%. * Note; they dont have a body shop at the Whiteford rd local).

I was disappointed with my experience at the Whiteford Road location. My salesman Alex was great but no interaction or acknowledgement from the manager at all. The vehicle was allowed to be test driven as i was doing paperwork. The vehicle was never cleaned for pickup and the fuel light was on. It was pretty much a sign here, here, here, here.... ok bye experience. I would have thought that the customer appreciation would have been better then a hello, give me your money, bye.

I was disappointed to learn that they do not offer loaner vehicles for service appointments. I do not have any other transportation and don’t know of many people that do. But I do know of other Jeep dealerships that offer loaners, that would be happy to take care of all of my service needs.
