The doctor is awesome. The staff not so much. I have been going there for 3 years and they have never gotten my name correct. The have two accounts and are completely inconsistent. I continuously have to explain to them how they keep making the same errors. The third woman to get on the phone today actually snarked at me for correcting her when she (the third person to do it in the same call) called me Catherine - not my full name.They failed to tell me that I hadn’t paid for my appointment. It was more than 3 months ago. No phone calls no bills. No contact. My information hasn’t changed in 5 years.
I’d give less stars if I could. Low staff should not equal incompetence.
Been coming here for years. The service is terrible anymore. Waited 2 months for my sons appointment and showed up to find out it’s canceled due to he’s not old enough to do a zoom exam. Why are they even open if an optometrist isn’t present on site? 2nd time it was canceled due to this. Filing a complaint to my insurance and Will never return here again.
Ive been coming here since I was about 14. The wait times are crazy, overtime the quality has dropped as well. I get here on time and end up waiting one and a half to two hours. They have been more and more inconsistent and unorganized. My best friend comes here as well, and has similar concerns.

This store use to be very professional. Now staff is arguing in the back over “he said she said” issues so customers can hear and customers have been waiting for over a hour to be seen. Why schedule an appointment if you don’t adhere to them. Time to find another optometrist!!! I certainly will not be coming back!
I used to really like this place until they stopped answering their phones completely. The voicemail is obnoxious as hell too and you NEVER speak with anyone. Then when you think someone will answer, NOPE. Then they hang up. I am not wasting 30 minutes of my time going here to find out they don’t have what I need.

The staff at Vsionworks were professional, helpful, and friendly. The Doctor took a great deal of time to make sure I was completely comfortable. I will go here next time, even though I am getting a new vision insurance program that is unlikely to have Visionworks in their network.
My husband lost a contact lense so we stopped at Visionworks to order a replacement. Easy,right? WRONG! They didnt have his prescription in their computer even though the contacts were ordered from them in the first place. The doctor we worked with was out on medical leave and the other doctor at their practice was not comfortable working with gas permeable contacts so we needed to wait for previous doctor to return. After a month of waiting, we just went elsewhere . Also, have you tried reaching this office by phone?!?!?
I only went to visionworks because of a rebate offer they sent me. I tried calling multiple times leading up to my appointment to get more information about the offer and the phone was never answered. Throughout the course of a week trying to get in touch with them and ask questions about the promo, I spent over 2 hours on hold waiting for someone to pick up (they never did). When I arrived for my appointment, I was ignored for almost 10 minutes while standing in the doorway (COVID policies). During my appointment I was treated as though I was a bother and no one seemed to have time to help or answer questions. When I was able to ask a question, I got responses like I dont know with no offer to try and find the info. I should have left at this point, but I was trying to see the bright side. When I went to pick the glasses up and figure out appointment times (tried to call and get a same day appointment, but that was useless Because no one answers the phone), I asked about the rebate and was told they dont have the forms and said they couldnt print one. (Maybe thats the policy, but I find it odd that they couldnt print a form for a promo hosted by their company). She also couldnt give me any info on how to find the form online...TL;DR: The staff at this location are rude, incompetent, and unhelpful. I will never utilize their company again.Update - I reached out to the customer service team like they requested in their response. They interacted with me for 1-2 months, told me they were going to rectify the rebate situation and then ghosted me.I sent follow up emails pretty regularly with no responses. Customer service is NOT a priority
I arrived for my appointment on time, was told they were running behind and to return in an hour, which I did. When I returned, was told they were too busy to see me and were closing early (!). NO phone call, no message, and I had canceled an appointment with another provider because Visionworks could see me sooner. The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced anywhere in my 62 years. I contacted the corporate office and was told the branch manager would call me... a week later, no call, no contact. If I could give negative stars, I would.
I have been trying for over two weeks to schedule an appointment. I have tried scheduling online, but it just keeps telling me no appointments available and I even went into February 2021. I have called and left numerous messages and no one ever returns my call. If someone does miraculously answer, they tell me to hold on and it may be a while until they can help me because theyre short staffed and helping customers..after waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I get disconnected. Very poor organization and communication skills. Very disappointing considering my daughter has state insurance due to preexisting conditions and they are the only ones who accept her insurance.
Absolutely horrible customer service. Very unprofessional! They never answer their phones. I was sent 2 different reminder texts confirming my sons appointment each with a different time the day before his appointment. I called for an hour to confirm the time, no answer. When I went in the 2 young females at the front were so unprofessional n rude. When I mentioned that they sent the messages with 2 different times and I can never get through to confirm, one of the girls mumbled something, I asked her what she said, she told me that was a shame. Very unprofessional!!! Obviously customer service is not their priority.. all the complaints n no changes..

Helpful staff, great selection of frames to choose from, very short wait time and my consultant Cindy was fabulous! She is personable and fun and conducts a no-pressure sales experience. She definitely helped me make a decision I am confident about. I will continue to patronize this location in the future.

Came in for my first eye exam in three years and I have to say the experience was great. Was greeted with a friendly hello and with very attentive care. The Dr.Pritzker was very polite and kind. Made my exam very relaxing and quick. Lastly their customer rep Briana was a great help with getting my glasses in order and was very polite and kind. I will def recommend to others had a great time !
I woke up one morning, injured my eye. And I had NO GLASSES, I needed a pair made QUICK to be able to drive to my emergency eye appointment.I came in, picked out my glasses with cindy, got fitted and Barry went right to work to get them put them together... from in the door to leaving WITH my glasses ALL in 40 minutes!?!Very impressive place. I read other reviews and I can honestly say as a real person, this place is amazing.My family all goes here.Will never pick another place!If you want a small town feel and good prices... go there! 5 stars!!
Was in to purchase glasses over 2 weeks ago. Never received a call, so I tried called the York, PA store. No answer, I was on hold listening to their ads for over 27 minutes in the morning today and 19 minutes this afternoon, still no answer. Went onto their chat, waited 20 minutes for someone to come on to chat, but at least she helped. She told me my glasses were ready for over a week. Horrible customer service. Do not try and call, because they will never answer. I tried a week ago also to see if in, was on hold for long time then, no answer.
I absolutely love the customer service once your IN the store. But trying to get anyone to PICK UP THE PHONE, is impossible. I have been trying every day for 2 weeks, and once my hold time passes the 30 minute mark i give up. Seems like this is everyones biggest complaint and nothing seems to change.I just wanted to find out my appointment time!
The service was pretty darn great. The place had a lot of energy. Jamie and Jillian kindly helped my family pick out glasses. They were super friendly and sweet. My doctor was thorough with examination and I felt like I was in good care! Service was swift and great!

Today was a day. I came in needing glasses and the team collectively helped me figure out which pairs worked best. Jill provided a warm environment and allowed me to sit in the store as long as i needed to find the right pair. Jaime and Jill both picked out glasses for me and gave their opinions on which looked the best. Quick. Easy. Fun. Truly a team environment with wonderful and personable customer service.

When I made an appointment for an eye exam the soonest I could get in was more than a week later. Fine, no big deal. The DAY BEFORE the appointment I was called and told that they needed authorization from my insurance company before they could do the exam. I was told that I needed to call the insurance company and ask for verification. I was given the biggest run around back and forth between them and the insurance company.. ONE DAY before the appointment was scheduled. They had over a week to inform me of this ridiculous policy. I ended up getting so frustrated I cancelled the appointment. Ive since made an appointment with another optometrist and will NEVER visit a visionworks office. It looks like from other reviews this place is awful. Id recommend seeking out another eye doctor. YORK EYE ASSOCIATES IS GREAT!

My daughter broke her glasses, right before a holiday weekend. I took them back to Visionworks on a Thursday and as luck would have it, they did not have her frames in stock. They had to be ordered, ugh! I was provided with a quick fix to get her through until the frames came in. Less than 24 hours later, my girl was back in business. Many thanks to the friendly, customer-oriented staff here at VW. They were super busy and still did their jobs with smiles on their faces. Thank you ladies for a job well done!! 👍😁
Great team at Delco center. They always help ful when my family members need them. I had get my son replacement glasses cause of a accident. They didnt have his frame there They called another store that had them. Getting them sent to them. Christina and staff rock.

Dr. Pritzker, is great! The products and quality are also great. I have dealt with Shayna - whom is very helpful and courteous. Jamie is absolutely hands down AMAZING!!! BEST EMPLOYEE EVER!!!As far as the service here- not so great. The appointments are almost ALWAYS behind, so plan to be here 1.5hrs - 2hrs. for your visit. When you call in, it will ring numerous times over a period, before someone answers and when they do youre placed in hold for a few more mins. For the last few times, I have been here...staff running in with coffees or breakfast/food (as if theyre late to work) or they NEED their breaks and make it known. Youre a doctors office, to me atleast. They should plan, and schedule accordingly. Get the right amount of staff to handle the amount of people you are working with/for.

Called both Visionworks in the area to be seen for an emergency. I had something in my eye and it was painful and swollen. After talking to the receptionists at both offices on the phone they told me they had no availability to see me. They are the only people open on Sundays around here so I ended up at the hospital. Dont waste your time with this place just go straight to the hospital. If its not an emergent situation I would urge you to spend your money somewhere that cares about its patients.

I had an appointment on the 22nd at 10:30. I arrived 30 minutes early. I had an appointment which I confirmed three times by phone and twice once I arrived for contacts AND glasses. I had my exam for my glasses, picked out my frame (before the exam) and as I was sitting down to order the frames and lenses and asked when I would receive my contacts as I was told four different times I would receive them same day. Turns out they never gave me the exam for my contacts and even though I had spent TWO hours there told me he would not see me for my contacts because he was running behind. EVEN THOUGH I WAS ON TIME. I was heart broken as Ive been without glasses and contacts for six months now. I asked if he would take the ten minutes it would take to give the exam I had made the appointment for and they wouldnt even ask. Ive so furious as my family told me that this was a very accommodating business and I was met with absolutely nothing but disappointment. I really wanted to like vision works in York as I really needed a new eye doctor and as it stands unless they make some sort of effort to rectify the situation I, nor my entire family will be returning. We as a family have brought them a lot of business and Id just like them to make it right

I have been going to Dr. Pritzker since I was a child. I have a terrible astigmatism. He is the only eye doctor who can get the right glasses and contacts prescriptions for me. He is incredibly kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The lens crafters at Visions Works are also terrific. They are able to cut my hi index lenses to be thin and lightweight, otherwise Id look like I was wearing a fishbowl. All the employees Ive encountered here are also wonderful and helpful. Sure, everybody has a bad day but Stephanie was so great and helpful. I travel from out of state to see Dr. P and really needed to see him. Stephanie took my info down and called me two days later when they had an opening. And they have a terrific selection of classic and modern, fashionable frames.

Horrible customer service, very unprofessional. After telling me they had nothing until July, they came up with an appointment for the next day. When I arrived they told me I was not in the books and not in their system. They told me I could come back later that day, which was unacceptable. I lived 20 min. Away. They told me that was the only option. Will never use them again and will never recommend them to anyone.

Staff is incompetent and unprofessional. Secheduled an appointment November 28th, 2016 and the earliest I was able to get in was January 3rd 2017. Which isnt the problem at all. When I arrived, I was never in the system and my appointment apparently never got booked. The earliest I can now get was February. On top of that no apology for this. Once I began to get frustrated, employee Stephenie G started to suck her teeth and shake her head. I took the day off work so I can come in and get new glasses for my daughter and I, on top of waiting over a month, this is what I get. Will never return to this place and would never recommend it to anyone. I have also contacted corporate.

Was there this past Wednesday for an eye exam and new lenses for my glasses the eye dr was very nice and the person that helped me with my lenses and everyone was nice
I ordered a pair of glasses online through the Visionworks website. They arrived dusty and dirty, the bows on both sides stretched out abnormally wide and a sharp plastic piece on top of the decorative gem part of the frame. A total disappointment and waste of money and time. I went to the store to ask them to adjust the frame hoping they could tighten the sides and the woman said she couldn’t do a thing and proceeded to pop my lenses into the display model which I refused as I specifically ordered a new frame online as I didn’t want the display model everyone had tried on. A huge letdown after going through all the trouble of doing the sizing and rx myself online. Buyer beware, the online glasses are junk and defective products. Customer has no way of knowing beluevingvthe same quality is being shipped to them as the ones in the store, but they most definitely are not. Cheap imitations are being sent instead!
