Just walked in 2/12/19, with a Nintendo Switch system, 2 games, and a complete Zelda breath of the wild game guide. Offered me $120. Are you kidding? The 2 games alone retail at $60 a piece. I get you need to make a profit, but that offer was BS. Way to make and lose a customer on their first visit.

This is a well staffed, well maintained pawn shop. Im reading alot of reviews that seem to be expecting WAY too much out of this place. Look people, its a pawn shop in the middle of a city. Ive been to pawn shops all over the place, up here, in Baltimore, wherever, and the ALL low ball you. You never get as much as you think you should from any pawn shop. Yes, some give you a few more bucks than others, and honestly from what Ive experienced, this pawn shop actually pays out pretty damn good compared to others.Being in the middle of a city, these guys deal with wild people trying to sell worthless garbage every single day, that Xbox you wanna sell? Theyve bought a million of em and they usually have a standard price they pay. Your 100 year old gold necklace? Its probably worth its weight plus 50 dollars.You cant come here expecting to get rich, its made for a quick loan in a tough time, or getting rid of old stuff and getting a quick buck for it. Get real people and remember where youre at.Anyway I like the place, people are always nice and theyve given me more money than I expected on a few things and saved my butt until payday. Ill keep coming back.

I have been shopping at Pawn Plus since the first day I arrived in York in August of 2000. Ive seen a lot of employees come and go, but Brandon and Liseth have always provided excellent customer service. They treat customers with respect, negotiate fairly, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Im in the shop every week buying something and it is always a pleasure working with them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This was my second visit here and Liseth helped me with the purchase of a guitar and today a laptop. Both times she was friendly, kind and filled with patience. The staff is extremely unprofessional. I waited over 25 minutes while they talked and gossiped in another language. After presenting them with a GE refrigerator in pristine condition they told me they would not accept it because it doesnt have a metal racking shelf... I used the fridge without it to fit more items. They then had a smaller fridge sitting there for sale for $79 and I offered them mine for $10-$20. They seem extremely racist and only cater to the Hispanic and latino community. DO NOT GO HERE!!

Rude and unhelpfulA year ago or so when I was preparing to move and getting rid of stuff, I went here to pawn off some speakers. It was raining outside and when I went inside, the sales person was behind the counter, sitting down. This in and of itself isnt problematic, but he asked where I was parked and told me I had to move my car immediately, and then refused to assist me in bringing in my speakers from my car. I had an umbrella in my hand and there werent automatic-door opener buttons for their shop. This wouldve made bringing in the speakers myself problematic. I found his attitude quite abrupt, unhelpful and rude. Not once did he raise himself off of his seat.Oh and he offered me $5 for my speakers. They couldve at least made it $15 if they were going to be rude to me.I left and didnt ever go back.

Im a antique dealer that Recently moved to the area and this is the only pawn shop in York pa,, The Staff here need more knowledge of rare antiques sterling silver items they do not know how to read hallmarks if they cant find the items you bring in to pawn or sell on eBay and they do not know anything about it they will not take it, just a waste of time coming here,..
