While I HAVE done business with this company before, the review here stems from a time I did NOT do business with them. I chose to go with a different company for the repair I needed and had my truck towed to that company based on my personal situation. The tow truck driver was hooking up my truck to tow incorrectly. Which resulted in check engine lights and other things at the next location. I called AAMCO and they told me that they told the driver not to tow it that way, that the driver did anyways, and they took a picture of the tow truck driver hauling my truck away incorrectly. I appreciate that AAMCO did such an upstanding thing for a customer, even though I had taken my business elsewhere. They stood up for me on behalf of what was right, and that says ally about the ownership and employees. They are a tight group of people, and seem to have the same faces representing them all the time, which also says a lot about the ownership. As a business owner myself, I just wanted to leave this review to tell about such a positive experience, when they definitely didn’t have to do that for me. I recommend this AAMCO 100%. Thanks.

I took my car to have the transmission replaced. I read many reviews about other AMMCO’s and I became concerned. However, this one had great reviews. I met Addison and he informed me about the entire process. He was very cordial, professional and patient. Given it was my first issue with a transmission, I called him about 4 times in a matter of minutes. Each time he was very patient, cordial, answered all of my questions. He made me feel as if he really cared about fixing my vehicle. It is evident he takes incredible pride in the job he does and in ensuring he gives his customers the most outstanding service.The transmission was replaced and the vehicle runs great. I can change gears without problem and the car does not shake anymore. Addison kept me informed of the progress of the vehicle throughout the week, they completed the installation on the time and what else can I say… I am extremely glad I took my car there. I cannot speak for other AMMCO’s but I can certainly say that if you take your vehicle here, you will be extremely satisfy, both with the service and repairs.

This is our go-to place for maintenance and mechanic work and has been for several years now. They consistently and promptly diagnose any issues my vehicle may have, always provide a detailed explanation of what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it, along with the cost. Addison at the front desk is very knowledgeable and patiently answers in detail any questions I have prior to approving the work to be done. Pricing is always very good and work quality is always top notch. They are fast in getting the job done too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I spent a little over $3K at this shop and it was worth EVERY penny! VERY honest and competent with their assessment of my cars problems and did an OUSTANDING job of rebuilding the transmission, suspension work and diagnosing and fixing a very elusive engine problem. Most of all, Addison and the entire team showed integrity by not allowing me to get unnecessary repairs that I practically insisted on having them do since another auto shop told me I needed them previously. Went to chevy dealership and the diagnosed my truck and where trying to charge 3 k for a sensor and harness which they said was wrong i took it to another shop in town to replace that instead of them and they replaced it and truck was still doing the same thing and the shop said they would not be able to touch my truck for 2 weeks due to a lot of customers so i got it towed to ammco and they found the problem in a day and repaired in another day and charged a fairly amount for the labor and tests all wrong was some wires to transmission that seemed to be chewed on by some rodent maybe but extremely satisfied with there work

I am very cautious when it comes to mechanics. I loath sending our daughter to a mechanic Ive never used. When her transmission went out, under warranty with a different Aamco, Zephyrhills was the closest Aamco. She took her car and her transferable warranty to Zephyrhills Aamco. Their professionalism, knowledge, courteous service and expertise is unmatched. No questions asked, they honored her warranty and replaced her broken transmission. They explained every detail of what they had done and instructed her to stop by in a few weeks so they could look it over again to make sure everything was good. This is above and beyond my expectations. This shop is 45 minutes from our home, but we will be making the drive for all of our automotive needs. These guys ROCK!!!

They didnt do the service as expected but it was only because it wasnt needed. They had the opportunity to take advantage of me but were honest. I left with no up sells and no services. Truly a nice experience

Absolutely made the right choice by bringing my daughters 2013 Nissan Sentra specifically here to have the transmission rebuilt. Long story short, we were under miles but over time with a manufacturers extended warranty due to MASSIVE issues with many of the Nissan models CVT transmissions. Addison and the team saved the day - they did the work for less, warrantied it for longer, and actually treated our situation with sincere interest and compassion. Absolutely excellent service! I brought them a car with 85k miles with a transmission starting to slip. From the moment I walked in, it was a positive experience (which is not something I can say from the few other shops Ive been to in the last couple years.)Addison the technician I worked with was communicative, knowledgeable, and as things came up, he gave me realistic, and frankly very fair cost options. This place does not have any integrity, from the employees to the owner. They just look for ways to rip you off and charge you more money. No honesty at all to the customers.I went in for a simple AC diagnostic that it was quoted at $89. After an hour of my way time they tell me that I have to pay another $107 for labor time.So I proceeded to ask why? They really thought that I was just a regular customer that did not know anything about mechanical issue, Man they poor judgment was wrong.I proceeded to ask him was the leak coming from the right side of the tire? The franchisee owner answer no. So I said, where is it coming from? His answer was that it was coming from the line on the middle. So he has to remove things that is on top just to get to the middle and see where the leak is coming from. I proceeded to tell him, when I paid for a diagnostic you supposed to tell me what is wrong and where is it coming from not tell me that you going to charge me more to remove parts just so you can give me a diagnostic (which that is already included in a diagnostic).To make a long story short, at the end of the day the leak was coming from the right front tire side, the same place where I previously mention that the leak was at. What they dont know is that the whole time I was just testing they integrity to find out if they are a honest mechanic shop for a multiple mechanical repair contract. They lost the opportunity for a contract. Silly you.trying to do is just to get more money out of me, But what they didnt know was that my whole purpose was that I was looking for a honest mechanic to provide them multiple mechanical repairs.

We scheduled an 8:00am appointment online the night before. When we arrived at 8:00, Addison had our information, said he would get our vehicle in for a diagnosis right away. He & Mark, the owner diagnosed the problem, test drove the car, repaired the minor issue. Within 40 minutes, we were walking out the door. We chose this AAMCO after seeing all their positive reviews. Mark & his team are knowledgeable, friendly & above all, honest!! We will definitely use them again when needed & refer family & friends. Ive taken my vehicles here for awhile. Recently had my van in for a look over. Mark informed me of an issue with a cylinder head misfiring. He also looked into it to find out that this part was under an extended warranty. I was then able to take it to the dealership and have it fixed. Unfortunately the service there wasnt as great as the service I receive from Aamco. Thanks again!

I want to thank Mark at AAMCO for the work they did on my work truck. I took it to one shop because it was leaking transmission fluid and they told me $3,800.00. I took my truck over to Mark and asked him. He said it was already a rebuilt transmission and was going to look inside. I gave him permission and it was only $900.00. I trust Mark and will not make that mistake again.

Extremely overpriced. Got charged $100 for a simple oil change. Ive never paid more than $50 anywhere else. My mistake for not asking beforehand but who charges this much for an oil change???ALWAYS ASK HOW MUCH THINGS WILL COST!!! Not just here but any mechanic or any service. Never assume things will be regularly priced.

We took in our 2001 Honda Accord that had some transmission issues. We left it for a diagnostic check and within the hour they had found the problem. The owner Mark Woodward is a God fearing, hard working man I will not hesitate to trust with service on my BMW or Grand Caravan in the future. The manager, Mike Davenport was courteous and friendly, above and beyond other automotive service centers weve been to over the years. I highly recommend this location and other AAMCOs in general as Ive only had positive experiences with this franchised company since 2003.

Consulted with them to decide whether or not to fix my car or trade it. Asked them for an overall assessment for issues outside of regular maintenance. They said my rack and pinion was leaking and my differential was bad, after that, I should be good to go! - I said great, Ill just do that. Got an oil change with a transmission replacement. $3300~ later. They overfilled engine with oil. I had the car a week, driving down the road I get a significant grumble from the engine and the tachometer dropped to the pin. The diagnostic showed an issue with the Crankshaft Position Sensor: They said, oils leaking which is causing a problem with the sensor. (soaked in oil) Where they showed me my engines oil-pan looking like it had been soaking in a bath of used oil. I said where was that advisory before the car was done? They had a swift response, Oh we told you about that before...(Not true) A week before this heated debate on why my seals/gaskets are blown, they had me come back - during that period I looked at the car myself. I checked the engine oil and it was overfilled. I brought this to their attention. They drained it, cleaned it, used dye to trace the issues. After days on end trying to get them to figure out whats wrong. They had the audacity to ask for another $1000 for the blown seals/gasket replacements. They never provided advisory on these seals/gaskets before the work started, I had known of no significant oil leak issues prior to the work they committed to. Spoke with dealerships that suggested an overfilled motor will cause pressure build-up and engines with weaker gaskets on high-mileage vehicles will blow. (Conveniently my oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and crankshaft front seal... for $1000 to fix) They refused any responsibility or accountability for their error on causing the issues or escalating the issue to a problem I didnt have prior to them performing the oil change. Service with them at your own risk.Edit: Convenient how your initial diagnostics when i was trying to figure out whether to sell or keep the car never included oil outside of discussing the power steering. Ive looked for myself at the evidence you claim was pre-existing. Sure there was definitely some issues near the belt consistent with a long term issue. It was definitely built up on the cross member and shroud that covers the serpentine belt from inside the wheel well. None of the issues I had prior resulted in my oil pan gasket hemorrhaging oil under the pan. When you got my car, the oil pan was clean. I know because I had just replaced the CV axle a week prior and inspected under the engine a bit while I had the car jacked up on the driver side.Had I seen my oil pan hemmorhagging oil like that I would have just traded the damned thing in instead of dealing with the transmission. You guys convinced me the only issue I had besides the transmission was the leaking rack and pinion. I already knew about that as I had been filling the power steering every week like clockwork.You guys decided to point out the oil leak after the work was done and I brought my car back. You showed me the oil pan and then you sent me home and asked me to bring the car back that weekend. After i got home, I checked the oil myself which was over an inch past max fill. You guys are the only mechanics on the planet that seem to think that overfilling an engine would blow a gasket. 1/2 qt? how much oil did you account for before the gasket blew?Your carelessness blew the oil pan gasket seal and youre only defense is prexisting from the front seal that had a slow leak or the valve cover gasket, but when I asked which valve cover gasket in the store, you said, not the valve cover gasket, but the front seal. Your diagnostics have been inconsistent since day 1 when you told me the new CV axle I just installed was bad.Twist it how you like, You already got your money for the transmission work. Just giving an honest review and you tried to even throw that at me. So you keep doing you. Ill fix the remaining gaskets and never use aamco again.

Thanks agian for everything!...also just to add to this due to another issue i had with my vehicle..these guys are fantastic and uphold great customer service..i thought i was sure to be in the hole with repairs only for them to tell me it was simply a loose bolt on my shock. I brought in my car for a flushing of the power steering system and bled it, to check on the front train sound when its put on to reverse, they didnt do as I asked they charged me $99.00 for alignment and for tightening 4 screws and tell me that the Power steering pump is leaking $103.00, AAMCO will never see me again and hope you people out there be aware.

One of the most dishonest company I have met... I would never go to another amco after this experience at this location.My wifes car engine got overheated. When we looked under the hood, I saw orange coolant from the reserve sprayed all over. After it cooled down, when we opened radiator cap, I saw orange coolant instead of greenish.I got our car towed to Amco(Since that was closer by) and they spent few hours on it.. and told me that they will have to replace the head-gasket. That would be around $1700. Their recommendation was to replace the motor for $2400. They charged me $99 + taxes for checking the problem.Over that weekend, I found a good mechanic.. Towed my car to his garage. He replaced the thermostat, radiator, water pump for $398... Including parts, labor and taxes. And my car is running perfectly now.At Amco, Not sure they even checked what was the problem .. They charged me $99+taxes to check the problem. Instead of fixing what was the problem, these guys were busy planning on how big the bill should be...I would never recommend Amco to any of my family and friends. Bad place.

So, an update...... 10 days later, we picked up our car. And SURPRISE we have a service engine soon light. Take the vehicle back and are told its a new problem that Aamco didnt cause. Funny how that works. Now we must drive all the way back to Ohio with a problem that will cost us around $1000 to fix. Original: They took our car in on Monday. Didnt get the transmission out until Wednesday. Our warranty inspector got there Thursday only to find that our cars transmission was not at the Aamco and no one knew where it was. On Friday when no one would answer our call, we drove over. It was closed. Here it is Saturday and they are still closed. No one told us they would be closed. My husband told them we needed the car back by Monday as we work in Ohio. We are NOT snowbirds. As of right now they have STOLEN our vehicle.
