The Green location was the best! Gary was very helpful after having issues with another company not following through with me. He was very patient with us and we ended up picking out something I liked a whole lot more! He assigned Fred and Jason to our project and they were awesome! Cleaned up every day and moved everything back in place. Even touched up some spots on our woodwork! I highly recommend Gary and his crew!! The floors look great!

My first Barrington experience was 4 years ago when I had a small basement flood, and, at the lat minute, I decided to replace the carpet versus have it deep-cleaned. I needed it quick to work with my clean-up company. I figured the cheapest and and quickest method would be to hit the huge corporate home improvement stores. Well, both had underwhelming carpet and high prices, and, couldnt install for a week or two. Disgruntled, I went to a few blocks south on Arlington to Barrington. They had way-nicer carpet at a lower price, in-stock, and they were at my house the next morning to install. Salesman Dan Kaylor guided me through the almost overwhelming selection and explained different types of carpet material in detail. The workmanship and quality were so good that my basement now looked better than my upstairs........so, 3 months later, I had them re-carpet the living room, hall and 3 bedrooms. In both cases, I bought carpet from their huge discount remnant room. The basement alone was 13x40 feet, and they had that much carpet in-stock as a remnant. Last month, I had them install luxury vinyl tile planks in 3 rooms that previously had a checkerboard of carpet, vinyl and epoxy flooring....now it is all tied together with one continuous spread of waterproof vinyl planks that look like real wood and really jazzed up the space. Barringtons installer worked until 11:15pm on a Friday night to complete the job. Ive heard Barrington is a huge supplier of carpet and flooring to home builders, maybe that explains their huge selection, and, the ability to make it all happen quickly and easily....and the volume of flooring they buy must be what keeps their prices so low.

Our experience with Barrington could not have been better. Our salesman John Schnell was fabulous. Our new floors make it feel as though we are walking into a new home and they were LESS THAN LOWES LOWEST ADVERTISED PRICE! If youre in the market, I would definitely let them give you an estimate...you wont regret it.

I am so happy with my entire Barrington experience. Gary was my sales rep and I loved how he suggested that I take the carpet sample home with me to make sure it would go with my room. Another carpet place did not make that suggestion. From the time I placed the order to the time it was installed was less than a week. To say it looks fabulous is an understatement. I will be going back to the store tomorrow to look at some carpet for another room!!

We went to Barrington to replace the carpet in our sunroom with vinyl flooring. Gary seemed helpful and we asked if the stairs would be a problem. He assured us they would not. When the installers came they said that they could not do the stairs, on the phone to Gary and he said do the rest of the floor and had another guy who would do them. Waited days for the new guy do show and when he did, he said he could not do them either. We ended up having to pay for the stairs to be carpeted which cost us more than the $250 fee which was originally included for things that came up during the install. Also Gary originally ordered the wrong color trim for the room and did not explain how it would work over cement. It seems that Gary will say anything to make a sell. We also had 4 more rooms we were originally going to have Barrington do, but based off this experience we went with another company. The new installer came out to look at the rooms before giving the estimate to make sure everything could be done, the estimate ended up being over $600 cheaper😤

Went to get flooring for a house we recently purchased. When I walked in, I wasnt even greeted by either of the 3 people that were there. Two of which were just standing there. They didnt even look in my direction until after the elderly couple who was getting samples left. I explained that we purchased the house and the seller said they purchased the flooring from here, I even brought a piece of the flooring with me. The lady repeatedly questioned me rudely asking, well how do you know it came from here? From there I got nothing but an attitude.I explained the seller told me this is were it came from, I gave an approximate purchasing date based on when they purchased the house to flip (I said Aug-Sept) and asked if there was a way to look it up if I gave my address. She FINALLY said she could look it up. After looking it up she repeatedly told me it was actually purchased in July. Great? She felt the need to correct me on the month. She gve me the name of the flooring and explained it would be discontinued and they only had 6 boxes remaining. I was ready to purchase ALL 6 ($500) RIGHT THEN and she kept moving me towards the door and wouldnt let me purchase it then. I was trying to ask questions, but she didnt want to answer them, instead giving me round about answers while pushing me towards the door. She told me to think about it first. Excuse me? I called the following week to purchase all 6. When I went to pick up, I paid the full amount. AFTER I PAID THE FULL AMOUNT she explained to me some was damaged and they removed a few from the boxes... but wouldnt refund me the difference. So I paid for a full 6 boxes and had several pieces removed bc of damage. My husband and I spent $500 on flooring and were treated as a joke. But dont worry bc they treated the elderly couple who didnt purchase anything like gold. I know I look young, but to be rude is ridiculous.

Just finished my carpet installation and I could not be more pleased.Everyone did what they said they would do, on time and with a very pleasant demeanor.John conducts his business in a way that received my confidence. The installation crew was efficient and on time. The two men that installed my flooring were very respectful and had very good personalities.Oh, and by the way, the pricing was very competitive with the big box stores down the street!I will shop at Barrington again and am confident that you will have the same attitude should you do business with them.

The service we received while buying the carpet was amazing (of course, we were spending money).We went with this company on a recommendation from a family member who is a contractor in Jackson Township. We loved the sales person and the fact that they will fix the carpet if need be.1 year later our dog ate a hole into the carpet. This has happened 2 times. The 1st time it took a month to get someone out to fix it (which we paid for, but according to the guy fixing it, $100 really isnt worth his time). Sadly, our dog ate another hole in the carpet about a week after it was fixed. We have been trying to get the guy out again for 6 WEEKS, AND WE KEEP GETTING EXCUSES AS TO WHY HE CANT COME OUT!I guess at this place you only get good service when you are spending a lot of money. I will never hire them again. I will find another place to fix my carpet and measure my upstairs for new.

John was fantastic to work with! He came out to measure when it was convenient for me. Not only that but he was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and honest. He asked the right questions and was able to help me find the best flooring for my needs. With the exception of the front entry tile flooring, I had my entire condo redone with his team, and I could not be more pleased!The team who came out to install the flooring was great also! They were on time or early each day, cleaned up after themselves and notified me promptly of any issues or pertinent updates.After having previous homes carpeted or floored by other vendors, I can honestly say I wont go anywhere else now. I was disappointed with the service I received from Gary. When I walked in the store he didnt introduce himself and barely greeted me. He didnt even stand and shake my hand. He knew I was coming in for hardwood, as I briefly talked to him over the phone the day prior, and he took me to one display rack and showed me one piece of hardwood. He was not forthcoming with any information about the wood or brand. He didnt ask any questions about where the wood was going or our family situation, ie kids, dogs, etc. He made no sort of small talk with me and was strictly to the point, giving me the quote. I will say the gentleman at the door was very pleasant and the showroom was very nice and clean as well as big. I would have liked to see other options of wood and also have been treated better.Needless to say we are going with a different company to install our hardwood. Not only where they tons more personable and really took the time to go over EVERYTHING with us, they were also nearly $1,500 cheaper for the same EXACT wood.

We moved to Green 3 years ago. We priced carpeting at Lowes and Home Depot for our great room and then was referred to Barrington. We spoke with Valerie and told her what we wanted. She showed us our options and helped us decide on what was best for our needs. She gave us prices and had installer called us the same day to come measure. Within a few days the carpeting was installed and we LOVE it! In fact, within a month we decided to carpet our master bedroom. Again, Valerie was so professional and polite. I have had carpet installed in two of my homes. Both times, the installers called ahead advising me their ETA and if that time was ok. The installers showed up on time, were very efficient and cleaned up every spec of carpet, and put everything back just the way it was.Our sales person was excellent and very knowledgeable of their product.

We have been shopping with Barrington Carpet for over 10 years.. we recently bought carpet from another carpet store in the area because they were having a BIG SALE!! After it was installed at our rental we noticed white spots all over when the sun came in .. Called him back out and he said OH WELL!!! thats what you ordered.. It was not what I ordered !I would have never ordered such poor quality carpet.. I will stay with Barrington and not stray:) I love the staff and the quality of carpet, flooring and installation.. They always do a great job in our home and all of our rentals..
