With Respect,I came in today to grab what I needed and did not have a mask with me. The men behind the counter were extremely rude and told me to go to staples to go get a mask. I understand it’s their job to enforce it but as a business owner/ entrepreneur myself, customer service is vital. If having a mask in your establishment was that important to you then management should have them at the front available for their customers. When COVID comes to an end this location will unfortunately lose customers if they continue to treat people poorly.
Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff members. They have a wide range in the cost of musical equipment. They have the affordables and they have the expensives.I recently visited to rent out musical/sound equipments. Rental fee was affordable and the whole process went very smoothly.
We love the guitar center, their deals and their selection of local music instructors! While they are a national chain we get a lot of local flavor out of the Menaul/San Pedro Store. Great for beginners lessons. Virtuoso players there too.
Had a good experience, its pricey but they were nice and helpful!
Extremely upset, I was looking to sell my piano and get a keyboard because Im going tiny. I called ahead of time and ask if they purchase musical equipment and they said yes but they cant give me a valuation without seeing it, I told them thats understandable but I have a piano so its not easy to move so I just want to make sure that they would accept it first before I lug it around. I told them the exact model in which he researched and they said that they would make an offer but he cant give me a estimation without seeing it. So I load up a heavy piano and bring it over, just for them to tell me that they are not interested in the model... I was livid because they could have told me that they werent interested in the model over the phone when I gave them the model. I am still looking for a keyboard but for this reason alone Im taking my business elsewhere, and Im not even bothering to look at their options
Im a disabled veteran and I had ordered a guitar for my son through this store. When I received the notification that the guitar was ready for pickup at this store I drove half way across the state to pickup the guitar and hoping to surprise my son upon my return. They gave the guitar I purchased away to someone without due diligence ie., proof of purchase or identification..and it wasnt a big deal to them. This whole issue has been settled now but I must say something so it doesnt happen to anyone else. Be careful doing business here. When they recovered the guitar they tried to give it to me, but..it is no longer the same new guitar, which Im sure they sold as brand-new..the strings were probably swapped out, the pickups changed out. I no longer trust this place.
Very courteous and professional. Top notch guitars and amps.
The best guitars Ive ever bought have come from the guitar center. Thank you for the great service! I cant remember your name but I know you are a manager. You really know what your talking about when it comes to guitars, drums, etc.
A long ways from home but these folks hooked me up for a traveling man. What the didnt have we ordered and shipped to my home in KY. Looks like the slide will beat me home! Great service all around the store! Thanks folks Im now playing the lap steel and driving my roommate crazy 😜
A very nice selection and a pretty clean store. The Customer Service is kinda so-so.Customer Service at a music store is usually this way because musicians that work as salesmen always have a youre-bothering-me-and-Im-better-at-playing-an-instrument-than-you sort of attitude. But like I said, this is par for the course at a music store. Guitar Center is no different.I recommend it IF you already know what you want.
One of my very favorite places to visit! My oldest son got an Ibanez bass guitar and a beautiful Ibanez hollow body 6-string from this shop. Weve bought a keyboard and lots of other accessories, as well. Well be replacing my middle sons drum set with a nicer set soon. I love the looks on my kids faces when they walk in and see all the beautiful instruments! Who doesnt love Guitar Center??
If you are looking for anything musical, from instruments, to lighting or audio, for personal use or for your band, you can find it here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cool toys for the the beginners, to the professional. They also give lessons, and can repair guitars. Ill be here a lot.
This place always have what we need. My husband is a musician and teaches music so we frequent guitar center.
Lots of cool stuff. I was looking for a guitar to buy along with a Amp. I saw a setup that I liked but when I tried to get some help I was ignored. I looked through the store while I was trying to get someones attention but nothing. So I left.
Great bunch of musicians that walked me through buying my first electric guitar. They were patient and have a plethora of technical knowledge that aided me in my final selection.Make sure to ask them to play the instrument so you can hear what it is capable of if your not super skilled.I hope I can go back before leaving town, but if not, thank you for helping to start musical endeavors.
I got a setup done on an electric at a different guitar store in town, it took them 2 weeks and it was almost unplayable because the action was way too low. Buzzing all over the place, made me sound like I just suck at guitar. I had a recording session coming up in a few days and called around other places and they also had about a 2 week turnaround time. Finally I called GC and they said they could do it in a day. Bo was super helpful, knew exactly what the problem was, I took it in one morning and got it back that evening. And it sings beautifully. Honestly saved my recording session and confidence. I should have just started with Guitar Center and will from now on.
Good place, starting to recover from our governors overboard covid restrictions. Plenty of guitars on stock, about 75% back to capacity. A bunch of hard cases have come in, so time to travel for your guitar in style. Also way better than music go round shop.
I purchased a Musicians Gear microphone stand and mic cord on April 17, 2021. The stand had a defective handle screw so I returned it for a replacement on April 19, 2021. I used the new stand and cord only a few times over the next several months, since the band I play with only rehearses once or twice per month. The handle screw on the music stand broke in the same place as the original one I purchased, and the chord stopped working after minimal use. I tried returning both to the store where I purchased them but was told that despite being defective, they could not refund or replace items after 45 days. I called customer service and they tried unsuccessfully o resolve the issue with the store. Given that both items were clearly defective and were not functional after only a few uses, I requested a full refund. After several texts and emails with customer service they have not tried to make it right.ref:_00D61dAk7._5004MmDCoX:ref
Worst experience ever, after speaking with someone on the phone they told me to bring in the guitar because a part may need to be ordered. After going to the location the only advise the repair man was able to give me was to pay to keep the guitar there so it could be re drilled for different peg heads he then continued to bad mouth other products that where on the shelf calling them cheap and saying they would break and not keep tune. I brought the old peg plate which was a classical tuner with me and asked if he could order the part the man said no he had no idea where to order the correct tuner and he could only give his advice and he had already given his advice. after seeing tuners that looked exactly like the ones in my hand I asked wouldnt these be able to fit and he tried explaining that these where classical tuners and the pegs where different and would not fit the holes I asked if the white cover over the pegs in the packaging where just caps to protect the pegs and the man said no there not caps the whole thing needs to be able to fit in the hole. I explained to the man that I was holding classical tuners and I could order them online and I had found them I just needed help knowing the spacing for the pegs. The man said go ahead and order them online then. I asked the man if he would be able to help me measure the spacing so I could order the correct ones and the man had the audacity to tell me I dont have measuring tools to do that while he was standing in the guitar repair section. At that point I knew the man was just bothered and did not want to assist me at all after pleading for help. You would think guitar center would be more than willing to assist new players on the journey but that did not seem to be the case at this location and I would advice not to come to this location unless your willing to pay top dollar for brand new items and squeezed for your money. Youll have a better chance doing the repair yourself with the internet then bringing it in here. If you are the manager and or regional manager for this location the repair techs need to be spoken to on the customer service portion of there jobs. Especially the thinner individual with shoulder height gray hair. I came to the store around 1:30 pm on 2/20/2021
I have been in this store at least a dozen times. I have rarely been greeted and have always had to ask for help. I was the only person in the store today, three associates were five feet away and no one greeted me or asked me if I needed help. I will no longer give them any of my business. Worst service ever.
Very nice and helpful people working there very talented also
The staff is always helpful every time I go in. Decent prices, good selection of products.
The staff here has always been friendly and answered all my questions in a professional manner. I’ve purchased a couple high quality mics and several cables from them for my podcast. The store always seems to be clean and well kept every time I’m there. I definitely keep Guitar Center in mind instead of just automatically searching an “online retailer” for equipment.
Helpful and friendly staff that go out of their way to help newbies and more experienced players alike.🤌
If you love music so much, you wouldnt resist how much you would engulf the sounds.
Very helpful Im learning studio sound systems !
We brought in an electric guitar with a warped neck after bringing it to a prior repair business. The guitar is about three weeks past the return policy. Staff members made no attempt to work around the expired return window to come up with options to get the guitar back to working order, except for adjustment attempts which may have aggravated the faulty neck. I felt that the business is not prioritizing customer retention based on my experience there. The guitar was purchased online from this business.
They were fast and easy but hearing the staff call a manager to approve a veteran discount? Unacceptable.
Professional help when I needed it. Wide assortment of microphones, stands, and accessories. I was greeted at the door and when I left. A very pleasant experience.
We purchased a used keyboard. Got a frayed cord. Got the RUN AROUND in getting a cord that works. Manager Craig said he “won’t give a new keyboard” when his staff had to us that is they cannot get a cord replaced. We weren’t asking for a new keyboard just a new cord that won’t cause a fire or make us use up batteries. The new keyboard idea came from the staff. The difference that Craig-the-manager said was “significant amount” was $100 between new and used. Had I realized the difference was only $100 I would have paid for the extra $100 and gotten new. I was furious and let him know it. I don’t like to see young people taken advantage of. And Surprise ! Within half hour a new cord suddenly showed up! Which they had previously said could take up to 6 months. So much nonsense hoopla. Guitar Center has lost my business, which is unfortunate because the “band” needs a few more items. Elsewhere! Poor service and taking advantage attitude doesn’t keep customers.
These guys shred great place 2 get your gear from
The staff is very helpful and the store is easy to navigate. ask any one of the employees for help and they will provide you with more than enough info to make whatever you are there for exactly what you find. thank you guitar center! I purchased ukulele strings here and had a perfect experience
The girl that helped me was very nice I wasnt able to catch her name but she was really nice! Helped me to look exactly what I was looking for in the drums area.
Awesome electronic items, great service... A bit low in inventory but after pandemic its understandable.
I have never been to a better music shop in my life. They are so friendly and are always willing to help. The try their hardest to make the customers experience the best it can be. The clerks are very helpful and always make sure that youre finding everything you need. 10/10 Sauces.
Under current Covid guidelines this place is operating pretty well. Sanitizer required upon entrance (which they provide). Staff is pretty friendly and knowledgeable even during the busy hours, and they helped me make sure I got the right equipment and gave me some advice on restringing an acoustic guitar as well as adjusting the action on a bass guitar. Felt like there could have been a bit more staff during the really busy times.
I havent been here in years. Let just say I had a great experience cheeking out the place again. The staff was vary helpful. The guitar repair teck dude was awesome I got to ask some questions and he helped me out big time why better than youtube. I actually hope and insist you all put a tip jar on the counter.
Friendly staff and good prices. I usually know what I want or what I am looking for and for the most part they have it in stock, if not they will order it for you.
They are still going through post-pandemic period. Not a time to go because lack staff, musical equipment, and services are full and waiting time iss a problem for me. At the end of the day, employees encourage ONLINE.
Good selection of electric and acoustic guitars, Ukuleles, drums/cymbals, DJ equipment, and pianos. Their repair service is quick and profession. And the staff is friendly for beginners and professionals.
This has to be the cleanest Guitar Center on the planet, as in so clean they hardly had any Guitars 😢 might attract more Musicians if you had some product... Maybe I came at I bad time who knows but on a good note the staff was super nice they ignored me while I helped myself 😂 sorry I have been to alot of Guitar centers this may be the worst hopefully they can get it together...
Great selection of strings and accessories. Guitar stock was low so people must be putting those stimulus checks to work. Great staff offering to assist when I looked overwhelmed.
Staff knows their connectors and cables. Quick service is well.
Always wind up spending more than I intended, but I always have a good time with the helpful Crew there !
Smaller shop, but with many niche experts. Found them really helpful on a wide scale of interests.
Came in to ask about work for my PBass and the Expert didnt even bother to take a moment to talk to me, just kept doing what he was doing and loosely answered my questions. Sad part is I was the Only person in his area. Wont go back
Bo is amazing and can fix anything best tech ever
The staff here seems like they all hate their jobs, as they stand around staring you down when you walk in. The only truly helpful one there is Sergio, he was friendly and courteous and asked if I needed help. Thanks for actually helping me find the cables I needed.
Always helpful. I can wonder without interruption but also have a human musically encyclopedia at hand when needed.
My experience at guitar center was good. Great staff members and very helpful.
Always fun here. Theyve done a great job practicing covid safe practices.
Helpful staff. Great selections.
They are okay but if you go in there now youll see that they have a lot of blank space on the wall and kind of a slim selection of amps. I was actually wondering if they were closing. They are not, but it didnt look so great.
Always a dependable experience. Never under rate the online experience. They back even used gear without an eyeblink.
Excellent service. Quality products.Never had a problem.
Always have the tools I need
My son and I can always find what we need or are looking for.
This Guitar Center is awesome and even though theyre not stocking everything like they normally do, theyre totally helpful and have plenty of people on staff at all times. They do good managing the number of people in the store and making sure people use hand sanitizer. Ive been there a few times and they often have what I need. If they dont have it theyre totally willing to look it up for me on their online store.
Ralph ( Guitar tech) is the man with the plan. my bass sounds like a whole new different bass. crispy, clear, loud, ka-boomy. thanks Ralph !!! you Rock !!
Great selection of gear, had everything I needed. Friendly service right when you need them, too.
Excellent service on a purchased-online return. Knowledgeable salespeople in the pro-audio section (where I spent time today).
Folks, its a pandemic out there. When you go to a big box retail store, you need to be able to get in and out with surgical precision. I rolled up and said, Salesperson Alex, I need two guitar cases, a bass case, and of course, a metalzone (best pedal every made). He immediately recommended me some cases. They didnt have everything in stock, but he quickly ordered them online for me. We also verified that the one case would fit my chubby Schecter C-1 E/A. I was in and out in about 7 minutes. In the words of the great man, Thomas Cruise, from the documentary Jerry Maguire: Help me help you!
Nice shop, WalMart of music stores. These guys came here and put all our local shops out of business.
Tons of people there to help me tons of awesome equipment great prices
Its nice to have a walmart for guitars, but its a walmart for guitars.
Staff was friendly (even to a newbie!) And they had exactly what I was looking for.
Alex was so helpful, he helped me buy the best pedal for me: the metalzone.
Thay kicked us out for jamming and The Manger with long hair Yelled at us and told us to get out because me and my brother were jamming out like any normal guitar players *Do not come here thare mad*
Always a pleasure coming into Guitar Center. They have what you need, and provide great customer service. Always meet talented people needing around with the instruments, its nice to converse with other musicians. Lovely.
Excellent service given the times, very professional, courteous and clean. Business must be going well for them as they limited stock on hand. Overall enjoyed this purchase and got more for my money.
This store is the worst GC in the bunch! Used to buy pro gear there.. no more. There is a reason people buy online and that GC is in bankruptcy. Bad customer service, a horrible manager who does not even try to stand behind manufacturers warranties, and a bad attitude. Give me back Grandmas PLEASE!
Good place for guitars an parts you need to keep playing
Great service with a good selection of guitar related equipment. Prices are reasonable and the staff is quite friendly.
The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable
Walk in dont get asked if I need help . I finally start grabbing and looking at products myself then get asked . I say Im looking to find a beat machine to make beats I get nothing you need a laptop Im told then I say ok I have one Im looking for the best beat maker so the wirker goes behind his dest and stays there other customers come im hes all over them hi do you need help what can I do for you ? Rediculous customer service
Super friendly, good priceCES and selection. And Covid smart
Friendly and very professional service.
Not the best place to shop at. Their guitar cables range from $33-$50 which is outrageous compared to other guitar stores. I had a guitar repaired there earlier they fixed the floating trem suspension but the fine tuning screws are messed up and when I turn one all of them go out of tune. And it’s a Floyd Rose guitar. I paid twice for the repair $65 each for nothing to happen.
Great selection and helpful staff.
This is a very good place to visit AND learn about musical equipment. The staff is incredibly helpful, courteous and professional. I recommend Guitar Center To amyone.
Great customer service. Very patient with my 11 year old daughter on helping her choose a guitar that fits her best and is comfortable to hold as well as explaining sound quality. Also helped us with drum for our son. Thank you guys your awesome!!!
During this pandemic, it unnerved me by how many people were in the store. The instruments were being handled by many people carelessly, and I saw no employees cleaning the instruments. Social distancing was hard to practice due to the amount of people in there. I purchased a guitar, and it took awhile for an employee to ring me up. Not enough employees, dirty instruments, too many people. I would not recommend going to Guitar Center during a pandemic. If you go, make it quick.
Very helpful! Thank you
Too bad I cant leave less than one star. Guitar Center use to have a great staff and was the go to place..not anymore! Went and stood in line where the microphones and accessories are. Stood there while the guy was unloading a box and put parts away...so I walked out. Rude, unhelpful staff, if you can make it through the door without being harrassed. Never ever within the last 30 days have I ever been required to use hand sanitizer to enter a business. I went there to make a large purchase for my church.I will not ever make a purchase there ever again. Now with online sales booming, I will purchase for any place but Guitar Center. Your loss Guitar Center of Albuquerque of a once loyal and good customer.
The worker was very knowledgeable of what I was looking for quick and easy shopping I was very pleased and I loved the how they were distributing there hand sanitizer
Ways been easy and quick shopping. Nice staff
Waited for 20 minutes, nobody even acknowledged my existence. When I asked a worker a simple question about where the USB microphones were, he said he had no idea and told me to wait for the guy who was ignoring me. Customer service 101: “I will be with you shortly”.
Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable staff. Always happy to visit the establishment.
No customer service. I had money in my pocket and was ready to buy, but no one around to help. Went somewhere else and bought the amplifier.
Real knowledgeable, they help me get the right piano for me. Ill be coming here.
Got a great deal on MTV bass amp
I live this place! Guitar Center was a staple in my childhood.Their staff is super knowledgeable when it comes to the latest Audio Tech.
