I just bought a used guitar from them. Mauricio was fantastic to deal with. The guitar was (frankly) insanely low priced, it came with some surprise extras, was packed perfectly, arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I am an experienced guitarist and have a restoration shop so I know how to shop for a guitar. I am super happy with them and cant recommend them enough.

They had an unbelievable 2002 Charvel Traditional That was only made for one year in mint condition, with crowned & leveled frets. I got a great deal on the guitar and case. They appear to be an honest and knowledgeable business. No problems whatsoever. The guitar was professionally packaged and shipped to Oklahoma City in mint condition

Nice guitar selection at reasonable prices. Spacy convivial atmosphere insures you get to try the right instrument without blasting out the store! Could use a bit more variety and inventory. But youll find what youre looking for nevertheless.

I really like music go round. I regularly find a friendly helpful staff, and generally reasonable prices. Sometimes a good deal. The one thing I absolutely do no like is their return policy. If Im returning something I must often want a refund not store credit. I understand why they do it that way, but I dont have to like it. It has been the deciding factor about whether to make a purchase or not.

I bought a Jaguar bass from their site. I requested some information on it, via email, and they were great with answering my questions. They also kindly set it up super nice before it left. Very large selection of used vinyl in very good condition. Also large selection of cassette and CDs. Prices are really good considering condition of items. Also a selection of unused vinyl that is pretty darn good. May be pricey but really worth it. Go there, really worth the visit. Staff very knowledgeable about their stuff.

Great shop for music gear, with an honest and trustworthy team.I made an online purchase of a Peterson VS-1 strobe tuner. The ad showed the tuner came with the power supply. After making the purchase the store notified me they did not have the tuners power supply as advertised. They were quick to adjust the price down so I could buy the power supply from Peterson. In the end, I had exactly what I purchased.Marty was quick to respond and take care of everything. Im very pleased with how this Music Go Round goes the extra mile to take care of their customers.

Before the pandemic this store was full of options in guitars, bass, violins & equipment. They are still friendly and carry a small supply of instruments now. But if you need strings changed on a guitar or bass they can help with that. Give them a visit, they might have what you need.

Best local music equipment shop I know. Every time Ive gone, theyve maintained a relaxed atmosphere, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Even when Im naively getting into something I dont know much about, they are polite and explain clearly without being pretentious. The used equipment that comes through here is great. They offer 10% off in store when you trade in or sell equipment. Support them while you can, it would be shame to lose them like we did Grandmas!

Even though they only gave me a little more than a hundred bucks for my trade in gear they do offer an additional 10% the next time you do it when you buy things from them. Theyre up the street from a GC but theyre not going to have any problem with competition because theyve got great gear at really competitive prices! These guys are also staffed up adequately and do a great job making sure people observe social distancing rules. Thanks guys! And Lady!

Friendly staff who are usually very helpful. My only complaint would be that I dont like their return policy. Exchange only within 7 days. I understand it, I just dont like it. I would simply suggest you educate yourself before you buy and try things out a lot to be sure you like it first. There are some good deals to be had here.

Its a great store for right handed guitarists. But us lefties not so much. And the selection of guitar tuners for electric or acoustic was 1 and it costed about double what I expected. Because of the metronome. The service was great. The guitar I bought here a couple years ago had a glitch I have not been able to fix. It was the only non black lefty. Probably great for the masses but not old school lefties.

I posted them up and got a email from Mauricio saying he wanted me to bring them by the store and have them looked at. I gave it about 2 weeks and took him up on his request. I must say everyone in the store was super friendly and we did end up making a deal to sell them to the store. Ive bought at least 2-3 guitars and 2 amps from them and they were all good buys thati still feel were cheaper and better than Id normally pay. Since I once owned a similar business in past my review carries more weight. Please go here last and thank me for learning you right because nobody can math them for the value. Period.

The staff here are very helpful. While every single employee may not be 100% knowledgeable about every single product, theyll find someone there to help you. The prices are very reasonable. My only complaint has to do with how chaotic the band instruments are (clarinets, flutes, sax, trumpets) and it seems like only one person in the store manages them. They are also full blown retail price, despite being in kind of rough shape. But you can still get a good deal if you know what to look for. Other than that, cool store, and definitely recommended if youre looking for reasonably priced gear. Might be purchasing a synth/keyboard from here soon, and Ive bought 2 saxophones over the years ha. Also, one of their employees (Adam J) is a really great guy. They should definitely give him a raise or promotion, because hes the bees knees

I have been there multiple times in the past few weeks, I can say without a doubt, that this is my go to place for anything guitar. Staff is well experienced and informative. I walked in looking for a couple of odds and end things and they try to sell you what you are looking for and need rather than whats most expensive. They have great prices on everything and overall just a great experience and helpful environment and staff every time i visit! Great guitar shop.

I went to sell my Dean flying v bass that is practically brand new I mean Ive had it less than 5 months. Used value is only $250 they offered me $60 and they were going to turn around and Mark it up to sell it at $250. Complete rip-off!

This is a consistently good, locally run (I think) music store and they often have a few unusual instruments. The house cables and straps are a good value.

This is the only quality place in Albuquerque to shop for music equipment. Everyone is kind here, and has terrific attitudes. Fair prices and trade-in values...I just moved to Maryland and wish these guys were near by. They have helped me more over the last decade than anyone else, really an amazing staff. If you are selling gear to them- think of it as if you were renting the stuff. Youre just not going to get what you paid for it. But I guarantee it will be a fair price. Its really no wonder these guys are outlasting the competition. I also guarantee if you are respectful and polite, the relationship that will develop with these guys is priceless. I went there to ask about and/or purchase a device for my bass guitar. Not only did they not have the device they should have had on hand, they recommended I purchase item from Amazon.I window shopped and left without buying anything. They lost my business simply because they told me to go elsewhere and spend my money. Oh welp

Weve dealt with other music places but this place by far had the best customer service. I wish they would sell and service all the instruments my family has so we wouldnt have to go anywhere else. Went back in at 6:24 after an earlier visit on same day to deal on a high end bass. Manager rude, even in body language, from the minute we stepped in the door, clearly just wanting to go home. The young gentlemen we worked with earlier in the day were gone...don’t know who owns this business, but we’d be looking for a new manager. You must have lots of other customers wanting to spend a fortune on basses, because this is the rudest manager we’ve ever met at a music store. Extremely disappointing.

Music Go Round is hands down the best guitar place in Albuquerque. Better than Guitar Center. Better than the late Grandmas Music. Better than Grumpys guitar. Better than any pawn shop. I recommend you go there 1st.
