Up until the fiasco with booms blue plan in late July 2021, I was very happy with their service. But I was given only three days notice to port my number out or lose it. I was given very little explanation of why this was the case. I lost my phone number, which is a HUGE headache for me. There has been not one follow up email or contact expressing remorse or even what happened and why I lost my number. So sad.

I switched to Boom from page plus for the cheaper price and the extra gb of data. They are excellent with customer service and as long as I’ve done auto-renew I haven’t had a single issue with my service. I do wish they had a feature where you can text a number and get instant current month info, like how much data used and next renew date, but that’s not a big enough of an issue to take a star off! 👌🏻👏🏻

I would give zero if I could. Ive been with them for several years. When I transferred my kids number from them, I literally had to pay for them to turn it on to turn it off. Now, they are dropping the carrier I use and have prepaid for into the 8th of next month. No offer of compensation, just you are going to lose your phone number if you dont contact us. Meanwhile, you literally cant contact them. I got a new phone and added to my other carrier account, but found out Boom has been listing us customers as employee business accounts under them. So, cant port my number unless I reach Boom business department, which is continuously closed and unavailable. Been working on it for 3 days. Grrrr,. Not worth the$10/mo savings. Another problem I had was not using my data, because its automatically blocked every time I pay for service. No, really cant recommend. The dishonest business practices will surely earn them a class action suit.

I also appreciate the fact that whenever I have an issue, I can resolve it/discuss it with customer service personnel here in the United States. I have not had to deal with people with a hard-to understand accent and I very much like the idea that the company is keeping these jobs in the United States.

We love Boom Mobile! They offer reliable mobile service, at a fraction of the major service providers. We switched from Verizon to Boom, saved a ton of money, and never noticed any difference in service. The major mobile providers dont want consumers to know about MVNOs, but they are a secret worth talking about. We also were T-Mobile customers for awhile, and our calls were dropped all the time. T-Mobile didnt have service in areas they claimed they had service. Again, we never had that problem with Boom. We recommend them wholeheartedly.

Boom Mobile has been great since I started using them for my phone service and I’ve used them for about 3.5 years now. I wish I would have discovered them sooner. They always have really quick customer service and I love that you don’t pay any hidden fees. The plan you want, states the monthly price, and that’s it! That’s all you pay. It was easy to make the switch from Verizon to Boom too (still using the Verizon network). They just sent me a new SIM card and I followed their instructions! Really simple. You can switch plans or add data, which is nice while traveling. I shopped around for prices but could not find cheaper ones. The customer support team really is great. The few times I had had questions or problems, they always helped me out by chat. Highly recommend.

In early 2017 I researched costs and reviews for all the MVNOs using the V network, as that was the only network practical for where I worked and lived. Boom seemed to be easily the best option, and it was trouble-free to get started and has been trouble-free since. I endorse them!

My wife and I were delighted wih the excellent customer service when we first signed on with Boom Mobile in 2016, and it has been a distinct pleasure to deal with them on every instance I have needed to contact the company. Our service continued without any difficulties at all upon moving from New York state to Maine and then back to New York. It was a positive point that we could choose the major cell carrier through which we wanted our service to go. While there are some services that that major carrier offers that do not extend to us as Boom subscribers, this has not been any real issue for us.

I dont often post reviews but unfortunately I feel as though I need to now. To be honest, I was very happy with my first experience with boom. I was extremely disappointed when they canceled the boom blue data unlimited plan at the begining of the year because the internet speeds they were able to bring to my rural area were much better than the satellite internet I had before. I was excited to learn that they were once again offering a good data only plan at the begining of February, so I canceled my service appointment for the Satellite service I was planning on ordering once again. I was told by a customer service representative that I need only order their boomfi device and I would be able to activate the service once I received it. I ordered the device on Saturday, January 30th from the boom mobile website and selected 1-3 day shipping. On the following Friday I called and spoke to a customer service representative that informed me that they did not have any devices in stock and that they believed they would be shipped the following week. I called the following week only to be told the same thing. I finally received the device on the 19th and tried to activate it, but was told that I would have to continue to wait until Monday because the website was down. Now today when I called, they told me that my service would be activated by 10pm. Here it is 10:15 as I write this and my service is still not activated despite the fact that I am paying for it. I am very disappointed for a number of reasons. To summarize my concerns: why did I have to call your company to learn that the device I ordered and was counting on would not be arriving? Why did I have to constantly call for updates, only to be lied to about the time frame? As a person that counts on this service for their small business, I cannot afford to be going this long without a service that I depend upon. Had I known it was going to take this long, I would have gone with another company that could have provided me with service. I absolutely hate speaking negatively about a company online and will almost never do it, but I have been so frustrated with this lack of honesty from a company that I have recommended to so many people in the past. My recommendation to you in the future, is to ensure that you have the resources in place to fullfil these orders before you offer them to your customers if you are going to take their money. In addition, when you find that your disorganization has caused a delay in your ability to fulfill orders, you should reach out to the customer to let them know to expect serious delays. This is the sort of dishonesty and lack of caring I would expect from a large company like comcast, not the friendly smaller company I received service from just two months ago.

I started with the Verizon network package and changed over to ATT in order to get coverage for Canada. No problems with either service and the price is vastly less than I was paying to Verizon directly

Data top-up is available if needed.Their account management web page is not the greatest, and may have gone wonky on me once, but I dont remember it being a big deal.Their US-based customer service has been friendly and helpful. Naturally, their staffs technical knowledge varies so Ive had mixed experiences with technical matters, but theyve all been resolved quickly enough.Id give them a 4.7, but I cant, so they get a 5.

Dont purchase. I paid $239.04 for one year of service via a red unlimited everything Xtreme sim. Boom cut off my service WITHOUT NOTICE the first week and refused to reconnect over months of complaints via BBB and to them directly. This company is a scam! Their manager even found us all the Apple products we needed to move to paperless transactions with our customers. We now have customers sign right on the tablet and we can email their receipt with the touch of a button. They send me updates when my data is being reset which is super helpful. Service is consistent and reliable in my area. Great customer support team as well. Always available and ready to help with any issues. My only recommendation would be they should be more competitive on their plan offerings. I switched our family from Verizon to Boom about a year ago. I was somewhat hesitant to switch, but have never looked back. Boom! Mobile has been fantastic! I havent been able to find anywhere that beats the price. Sure you have to supply your own phone, but with the savings it pays you back soon. Only issues weve had have been data connectivity, but we use our phones more for phones than computers.

But you won’t let existing customers do it unless you change carriers or get a new phone number. That is total BS! You would think you would want to keep your existing customers & have them tell others about it so you get new customers. Very poor marketing on your part!! May have to consider switching companies. You really need to revisit this deal.

After I was no longer on my parents family plan with Verizon, I quickly realized that I couldnt commit to paying their monthly rates and ridiculous contracts. I started out with metro PCS and I was sorely disappointed with their wireless connection with frequent dropped calls and areas of no service. (I believe back then they were using T-Mobile service). But after scouring the internet, I found, the humble and honest, Boom Mobile. I saw that they offered Verizon service and i was sold. More importantly, the Boom Mobile service center was fantastic, very responsive and quick in getting back to me and helping me wrestle my number from the previous carrier. Ive had nothing but good service, customer and connectivity, with Boom Mobile. I love the options that you can choose from and you only need to pay for the plan that works best for you. Boom! Red is using Verizon extended network thus far better than Verizon prepaid! I recommended it to my families and friends and they are switching too. The only downside is that Boom! Mobile Red doesnt support WiFi Calling so I can not use it when I travel internationally. I was told they are working on it and will bring it to us. I am looking forward to it!

They offer you access to major networks at huge discounts! Im on the red network (i.e., Verizon - my phone even displays Verizon) and pay MUCH less (with no contract) than I would through Verizon. The Boom support staff is great, too - always available through phone, and quick to resolve issues. Not sure why this isnt the most popular provider in the country.

Theres a REASON why these folks solicit reviews, post fake/shill ones, and are giving a month of service away free. HERE is a shot of how long I was on HOLD during business hours trying to speak with a person about my unactivated phone. At least the answering service picks up. RUN! I wanted to use the roaming on this service, but God help me if I ever needed help by phone in the middle of nowhere..OH, and Google 315 Delaware Avenue in Bartlesville, OK [ECG] to see the full operation.

Reliable MVNO. I get Verizon coverage for only $20 a month! That said, I only need a little bit of data. If you need more data, there are certainly plans to accommodate that for just a bit more. I definitely recommend the company, they have excellent customer service and reliability.
