Chocolates are overpriced. They have a weird after taste and all taste fairly similar to one another. There are better options/value for your money out there. Believe me.
A nice variety of different truffles that are hand delivered from Switzerland. If you’re looking for different chocolates from what they sell at the general stores, this is a place to check out. A hidden gem in a quite busy area, it’s easy to miss... but worth a visit. Just be prepared to pay a little more than you’d expected for standard chocolate or candy.
One of my favorite Newbury Street small businesses! I was so relieved to see it had survived the COVID pandemic amidst all the business closures up and down the street. Their chocolates are delicious - I bought a music pack for my friend and he loved them! I definitely will come back to purchase more chocolatey confections when I venture there again!
Delicious. Not life changing but delicious and great service to make people become regulars. It really felt like a treat to pick up a small box of chocolate goodies. Although, a few modern updates (lighting?) with descriptions of the chocolates. Not really complaining though. There’s a charm.
Awesome bakery. I love the pecan pie. The cookies are awesome. And try the chocolate mousse pie. So sweet and so tasty
Beautiful store with lovely variety!
Top quality go-to for my chocolate cravings! The Champagne truffle, pink pepper chocolate bar, and covered fruits are goooooood! There are lots of unique flavors and combos I tried for the first time here. Makes for a sweet, fun gift to loved ones. It’s all handmade and imported from Switzerland, which I love. Honestly so worth it, because you can definitely taste the difference! The people there are accommodating and knowledgeable and handle everything with care. They also seem to put lots of work in making the shop a soft, inviting and BEAUTIFUL atmosphere. Super pretty! Like Newbury’s little secret garden. Always a good experience. I RECOMMEND for anyone looking for gift ideas, or wanting to try something delicious.
Great customer service. They offered courier delivery as opposed to fed-ex, even delivered it on a Sunday!
Picked up a few chocolate bars and truffles on a whim while visiting a few weeks ago. Delicious and unique- my favorite was the rose truffle. The staff was very kind and helpful. Give it a try!
Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed. The owner was very charming and I wanted to like it, but it ended up tasting stale and extremely expensive.
I love Teuscher Chocolates! The champagne truffle was one of the best chocolates Ive ever had. Its definitely expensive--think $2-$3 per piece, depending on the size. But its definitely worth a treat if youre in the mood for excellent candy! Its also a little hard to find because it looks like a flower shop from the outside, but look for the Swiss flag and youll spot it. The staff is super kind and helpful and clearly loves chocolate.
Huge disappointment and rip off! When you first walk in it looks like a florist/wedding. You think this will be awesome. NOPE....Spent 20 bucks for 6 chocolates ...it was okay. I have chocolatiers that I love not this one. Dont WASTE your money! Plus the girl behind the counter was clearly only there for a paycheck. Never smiled not friendly and very she could careless attitude. Worst by far and I am a chocolate connoisseur.
Theyve got good chocolate, and the shop is absolutely adorable and worth stopping by to visit. If youre going to buy one truffle, get the champagne truffle. Its what theyre known for, and there is definitely a reason. Outside of that, some of the other truffles were hit or miss for me.
Stopped in on a recent visit to the Pucker Gallery (which is fabulous by the way) and asked what was recommended. She pointed me toward the champagne truffle and boy was she right! Im usually not a huge truffle fan but decided to go with her suggestion. Heavenly. Wished Id ordered more than one! Give it a try. Making a stop here again today they were so good. A light and airy champagne flavor, not overly dense, perfect sweetness. Yum!
Ok chocolate. Way way overpriced
Every Christmas I buy myself 6 truffles from Teuscher. They never disappoint.
Phenomenal store. Staff is incredibly kind and insightful. Chocolate is absolutely delicious at a very reasonable price.
This is one of the best cocolate comes from Switzerland, right from Zurich. If you, like me, love the dark chocolate.... try the 80% dark chocolate bars. Also, the truffles are an experience you wouldnt like to pass on. If you dont like any of the above, visit the shop and get treated like a royalty, the staff are one of a kind. 😊
Stefan and his other staff are really great. They have always managed to make some great recommendations. Dont pass up the dark chocolate champagne truffles.
Godiva will become the Budweiser of chocolate once you experience Teuscher. Nothing come close. Some sites say Teuscher is worlds best chocolate and I believe it. Sure, there are many chocolates that claim to be but I can tell you this for sure; it blows Godiva out of water. It doesnt even come close especially their truffle. It has the common theme of biting into one, tasting individual flavors yet somehow it suddenly explodes into this multi-dimensional sensation I cannot explain. While some chocolates are good and somewhat satisfying, its worth spending $3-$4 per Teuscher truffle and experience it and be forever grateful. I can see why people can be so snobby about chocolates let alone food in general. Teuscher (still cant pronounce it even though the owner or manager there said so with his native tongue is what Im assuming) at the moment ranking absolutely high up there. One that possibly in my own opinion that can come close is Michel Cruizel chocolatier.Small place but great service. The chocolates...I feel it should be on your bucket list to try. Theres a reason why its so exclusive and limited. Other than a restaurant we wanted to visit, our 1.5 hour drive to this location was very much worth it.
5 star service. Store itself is completely unappealing, products look old. Quality mediocre. I don’t think anything is made fresh there. Strange place
CHOCOLATES: This is high end, Swiss chocolate...which is meant to be slowly savored before swallowed.PRICE RANGE: They charge $2.50 for a small truffle. This seems pricey at first, if youre visiting the city. But, its actually typical for their Newbury Street location.HINT: The better the chocolate, the less you need to satisfy you.ONE TRUFFLE can curb your craving, without widening your waist.BUT...Can you eat just one? Ive yet to pass this test...
There is no sweet store that can match both the chocolate and the service. This is a very special little place. Thank you for being there!
Chocolate is the best Ive ever tasted. Champagne truffles are delicious and this is what they are known for. Parking is a pain if you drive into boston. Its better to have a friend or family member drop you at the door and circle the block to pick you up. Bring your wallet, they dont give them away haha.
Best chocolate I have ever had. Perfection.
This is a small chain of Swiss chocolatiers with 5 or so locations in the United States. The chocolates are among the best the Swiss make (my Swiss friend was astonished to find such superb chocolates in the USA), and somehow manage to be worth their amazingly high price.
Most expensive chocolate I had at $3 a piece. Wonderful treat for myself❤️
Excellent selection of delicious chocolate, good prices, wonderful service.
Truffles are pricey, but with every penny. The Swiss do chocolate perfectly!
The best champagne truffles from Switzerland in Boston. Wonderful service and chocolate!
Champagne truffles! Tauscher has been a family favorite for many years and we will make the trip into Boston just for this store
Most amazing chocolat around!!
Best truffle, very friendly staff and good environment
Authentic Swiss chocolate and knowledgeable staff, cant go wrong!
Tauscher is expensive for me, but for an extravagant treat, they make some of the best chocolate I have ever had.
