I brought in my 27 Gigabyte gaming monitor in to be fixed exactly one week ago today and I gave them $270 to get it done as fast as possible - they said that they had to get the screen (read: replacement screen) from China. I check in on Wed when the job was supposed to be finished and the representative wasnt there, but his technician was there and he put the representative on the phone so we could talk. He said come by tomorrow. That was after he said that he was at lunch and he would be there to speak to me in thirty minutes. I gave him close to an hour before I came back and he wasnt there. He didnt even mention the fact that he wasnt there.That was yesterday. I get there and the representative is nowhere to be found in person. His tech guy puts him on the phone and he says that they got the screen and they put it in only to find out that it was the wrong screen. Now hes looking at another monitor entirely and suddenly the number of $300 is floating around in the air for some reason. I explain to him that I paid extra for all of this to be done - I give you money and you provide goods and services, and so far youve not provided anything at all. Youve not even been in the building to explain yourself. He says to come back on Wed and he will have bought the monitor, which I didnt ask him to do of course. I just needed a screen replacement.These people use the same tactics that shifty car mechanics use to get you to pay as much as they think they can get away with. If youre a college student I would advise you to stay well away from this place. At best you would be dealing with substandard service across the board and at worst its a predatory scam. So far there is no professionalism, no quality, no value and very little in the way of a response. Im already talking to legal council on this and considering the small claims court option. All of the reviews on here with above 1 star have to be fake. I wanted my laptop screen replaced: (1) they put a different colored screen on my laptop without telling me (2) they left a piece of debris within the new screen so I can see it all the time (3) all of the screws at the base of the screen came loose within 2 weeks of use and have now cracked the black bar at the bottom of the screen as well. HORRIBLE service. Whats worse is they wouldnt even fix any of the problems that they created. This shop is here to take your money - $820 of mine to be exact. I shouldve bought a new laptop.

After my experience, I would only say DO NOT GO THERE. I went to that store to replace my iPhone 8 plus screen because of water damage. When I saw the high reviews I felt comfortable, but after my experience, Im pretty sure that all of them are FAKE REVIEWS as it all comes from accounts with only one review. My original screen was replaced by a very poor quality SCREEN which was BROKEN in less than ONE DAY when the phone fell from my pocket on the floor although the phone was in the case and it had a screen protector on the screen itself. The screen protector didnt even scratch, and the replaced screen was broken underneath it because of its poor quality.I went back to the store because they told me the screen has a 90-day warranty, but apparently, it didnt even have a 24 hours warranty. They told me the warranty doesnt cover the screen if its broken, and the only thing they can do is a $10 discount for a new screen replacement was the same poor quality for $60 other than the $70 for the day before for a total of $140 in less than 24 hours because of their fake poor quality screen. I decided not to change it because it wouldnt be wise to do so because 99% it will break again. After all, if you changed anything on your phone there you should know that you are on your own as soon as you leave the store. Again I would recommend DO NOT GO THERE.

I broke the screen on my phone while visiting Chapel Hill from out of state. I called and was assured they could fix my phone in about 25 min. I arrived about 1pm and was told there were a couple of customers ahead of me so it would take about an hour. I came back in an hour and was told it would be another 15-20 min. This continued unto about 2:45 when I told them I couldnt wait any longer and would come back later. At about 5:30 I called and was informed that they could not repair my phone because they had the wrong part.I do not understand why it took so many hours to discover they had the wrong part....When I picked up my phone in the same condition as when I dropped it off, they made a big deal about how they were not charging me! Why would they even discuss price when they didnt do the job?!?......I read the response to my negative review and I am appalled that the owner tried to shift the blame to me, the customer. According to the owner the problem was my fault for telling him the wrong model number. HE NEVER ASKED me for the model number! And even if he had, he should have realized very quickly that he had the wrong replacement part....Not four hours later.I believe that he simply delayed working on my phone for several hours because he did not consider me a valuable customer. He knew I was visiting from out of town and would not be back. Therefore his offer in response to my negative review to have me return to fix his mistake is empty.

I dropped my phone off for a new battery, went for a nice walk down Franklin and boom! my phone was ready. The staff was friendly and efficient.I just checked my battery health and see it at 100%. Much better than the 52% when I dropped it off. When I picked it up, the person who worked on my phone explained the 90 day warranty. I was also impressed with the covid precautions in the store.

If you live anywhere near Chapel Hill or Garner and have a problem with a cell phone, laptop, tablet or any other electronic device, then you need to go see Jeff at Cell Phone Repair. They are excellent at what they do and they do it quickly and for less $ than any other repair store. My Samsung S8 cell phone needed a new battery. I googled repair shops around Chapel Hill. I called several for a quote to do the work. Ubreakifix over near South Point quoted me $99. Batteries Plus and More,(who now do cell phone repairs) quoted me $69. Jeff at Caroline Cell Phone Repair quoted me $35. I took it there and it was fixed within the hour and at the price quoted. It as been several weeks now and the phone works fine. I took my Lenovo lap top to them the other day and I just picked it up a couple of hours ago and it is working great. I do not know how they can beat everyone elses prices but they do. I am more then impressed, and I was in the computer business for 34 years!! Give them a try. I think you will be impressed too.

Im not sure where my review went, so Im posting this again. we had called ahead to make sure our part was there. When we arrived the person behind the counter wasnt sure and proceeded to take off their mask to call someone about it. They removed their mask completely, went into the back and we didnt see them again for a little while. They came out and served more customers without wearing a mask. The whole process took 30 to 40 minutes and most of this time the worker seemed content with increasing the risk of COVID transmission to their customers. There were other workers who had masks and could have corrected this behavior but for some reason it was not done.The repair was fine but we shouldnt have to risk disease transmission to do business in chapel Hill. If we hadnt prepaid for the part I would have walked out.

WOW!!!!! This place is AMAZING! Fair prices, fast and QUALITY repairs, and great service!!!!!!My phone crashed and was completely broken when I dropped it. I was going everywhere trying to get it fixed and almost everyone said that it was a lost cause. The few places I went to that said they could fix it tried to charge me $400 and up to fix my screen. I ultimately had to get a new phone, only to find out that my icloud did not back up properly and all of my essential information was GONE. I spent 6 hours on the phone with apple for them to ultimately tell me there was nothing I could do! Desperate I called Carolina Cell Phone Repairs and they got me in that night and had my phone fixed in less than 20 mins!!! Do not waste your time anywhere else and GO HERE!

I rarely write reviews, but in this case, Id like to share my experience. Most repairs or modifications I believe are probably simple and straight forward for the professional, so why bother writing to say they did an awesome job. However, where you really find out how good someone is in their business is when things dont go as planned, when a wrench is thrown in the works. Thats what happened in my case. I went to Jeff for a battery replacement and upon opening the phone, suddenly there were other serious unforeseen problems that occurred. Jeff explained what had happened and I confirmed (doing my research) that this was indeed just an unfortunate stroke of bad luck. However, Jeff took it upon himself to fix the additional problems at no charge to me. Thats when you know someone is doing their best to provide great customer satisfaction.

I drove from Greensboro to chapel to get my iPhone 11 fixed, my back screen glass and front screen glass was broken so I decided to let them fix both sides. I arrived at 2pm. Was told that the guy who fixes the phones was on his way. I waited about a hour for the guy to get there, he took my phone in the back and begin to work on it, I came back several times. My phone still was not fixed so I thought something was fishy, I didn’t get my phone back until about 545pm. I sat at the place exited that my phone was looking brand new but after about five minutes . My phone shut off and rebooted on its own, it continued to do so. So I gave the man back my phone stating that this wasn’t a problem before I gave you my phone, I had major cracks but my phone was not turning off and on by itself repeatedly. So he takes the phone to the back once again, he comes back and ask if I could leave me phone overnight. Which then I got upset and explained my frustrations, I just wanted my phone fixed! He came back around 6:40pm and said that my motherboard was damaged! My phone was trashed, I took my phone to another repair place! And they told me that he didn’t even put the right phone screen o. My phone! He broke my phone! Which cost me a lot of money out of pocket ! Don’t come to this place!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I want a new phone!!
