The customer service here was impeccable. Ron took care of my trade in process and was quick to point out all the promotions although it meant that he had to do extra paperwork since I had ported my phone lines online and not at the store. I was able to follow up with him on questions that came up on my trade in adjusments. What a guy. I highly recommed Ron and this store.

I found this place by accident. I learned that there was someone there who would go above and beyond the services offered by other Verison dealers. Its a case of a friend telling a friend, and now I hope and believe that this store and this individual will get all the attention they richly deserve. Many stores offer good customer relations, but not many excel at the job. I cant recommend Verison Andy highly enough. Some people know the details, some people know all there is to know, but not many fit both descriptions and also add the masterful touch of being able to teach, inspire, rescue the ones who feel failure is their destiny, encourage, and inspire hope. He rescued me with his confidence, his kindness, and his refusal to call me a miserable failure which is what I would call myself. Getting to know him and feeling his total conviction that you can do it - whatever it is - is worth whatever trip you have to make to find him.. And, no matter what, he always appears happy to see you.

Worked with Nick to port over three BYOD unlocked OnePlus phones from another carrier to Verizon over the course of a few weeks.This may not seem like a big deal, but the phones were all CDMA-less unlocked phones that required some additional configuration on the Verizon side that not all techs are aware of. Nick took the time to do the transfer right and ensure that every aspect of the new service was 100% working before leaving the store for each phone (voice, SMS, MMS, etc.).Nick was also super helpful in getting me setup with a Jetpack 8800L for internet services (we live in a rural area) and even made himself available during his off hours to ensure we were properly taken care of. Ive been extremely happy with the entire experience and would certainly recommend Nick to anyone interested in Verizons services.
I consider myself a dinosaur when it comes to technology. I felt very welcomed and was provided with excellent assistance when buying a new phone. Anthony Robinson provided outstanding customer service when I came in to purchase a new phone. He listened to what I wanted then patiently and knowledgeably went over a lot of different options for me, including itemizing the total costs of each option. He spent a lot of time helping me and then when I wanted to go home and think about it and sleep on it, he respected that choice and was not pushy or upset because I didnt buy on the spot. When I returned the next day to make my purchase, he was able to process my order quickly and even walked me out to my car to install the hum device. Whenever I have questions, I call him for help and he takes care of it quickly and with great service. Everyone in this store has always provided great customer service whenever Ive needed it. I live in Durham, but I drive to Chapel Hill when I have service needs, because this store and its employees have always provided excellent service.

On May 18, 2020 during the height of the pandemic, and being from out of town, my wife and I went to this store, one of the few opened, to get a new phone for me and transfer my phone to my adult son whos phone was badly damaged and not working. My sons broken phone had valuable business contacts on it.Chris Tart was helping another couple when we arrived and while we waited a short time, they told us that Chris had helped them and that he was awesome. They definitely were right. The main concern for us was could Chris transfer the important information to these two new phones? Chris did in fact do that which was amazing that he was able to transfer my son badly damaged phone information to my old phone and my information to the new phone. Chris was very patient and explained all of the options and made valuable recommendations to us. Chris was absolutely amazing! I was trading in my phone, and adding a new line with an old phone. Chris researched all possible options and made sure I got the best deal for me! My phones required updates before the data could be transferred and he was very patient and never rushed through the process. He also made sure I was signed up for any and all deals that Verizon had to offer to keep my monthly bill as low as possible! I always go to this location for all my Verizon assistance and will continue to do so.

Totally a fraud and terrible place. They are sweet and charming until they sell you the product but incredibly rude and unhelpful when anything goes wrong. One of the worst customer care experience I ever had. Buy your products from the corporate Verizon directly and never go there.
On May 13, 2019 Mr Rob was very knowledgeable about his job myself and my husband was very upset because we couldn’t get into my husband cell for two days. We Went to the mall and he got another phone also received all my husband’s contact numbers on the other phone. He was so great and very nice god bless him he the best. Many other reviews speak highly of Rob Kent, and I add myself to that list. On Monday of this week, I switched to another carrier (starts with s and ends with m. What a mistake. After 8 calls to customer service, I decided to switch back. Rob was so patient and calm. He answered my questions as we went along. He is very knowledgeable and creative. Within about one hour, I was back in business. He even found me a couple of discounts. I will go to Rob for all my mobile needs including when I purchase a new phone. I recommend him with five stars.

The team at the University Place location are amazing! Last November I had to replace my 2 year old Galaxy and I recieved the best customer service. The experience started off good but ended badly. I got the iPhone X yesterday. I didn’t like it cause it wasn’t what I expected and I feel like i could just get the 8 plus for cheaper and be satisfied. I walk in today to return it. Travis Newkirk jumped on my case soon as I walk in while he was with another customer. He asking me what’s going on. I said I’m returning the phone. He seem irritated by that. He asking me what I don’t like about it and that I only had it 24 hours. He gets another associate to help me but kept interrupting us to the point I had to tell him to leave us alone and that we got this. That’s when I just returned everything. I was just gonna return the case. He had an attitude. I will never step foot in there again and will let others know. I know sales are important but if I want to return something, they shouldn’t act like that. The other associates where fine except Travis.I went to another Verizon store in Durham and the experience was great. They explained all the fees and gave me a great deal and discount for dealing with that store. I told them about this store and the dude said say no more, we heard about that store. Bottom line be careful. Travis kindness is fake and all he care about getting another sale. Don’t dare try to return anything! He will change up!

I think Anthony here at the chapel hill Verizon shop has done a fabulous job for me he manage to get me on auto pay when I had been here before and I was told I was on auto pay but I really wasn’t so now I am on auto pay and thanks to answer me who is very patient and understanding and took care of the whole process. I had to buy a new phone and as a person who needs a fair amount of technical advice, I was sort of left hanging until I had the good fortune to meet Trent Taylor who gave a thorough explanation of how to complete set up, including going to my car to connect to my Blue Tooth. It was necessary to contact Trent on a couple of occasions. He was always patient, polite and VERY knowledgeable. Anyone buying a phone from this store SHOULD request Trent. You wont regret it.

Arsineo Parker...from the moment he greeted us and insisted on every person in our party had a chair to the very end (which lasted 1 1/2 hours), this man provided the best service weve had at a Verizon store in many years. We typically go to the store in New Hope Commons, but that location is really built to handle a large volume of customers. They have more inventory, which is also helpful. But from now on, we will probably choose this store in Chapel Hill due to the superior service we recently received when our daughters phone had been shut down due to an error. Arsineo spent more than an hour on the phone working through the problem with the utmost professionalism while putting us all at ease by talking about sports and family. We left with our daughters phone working perfectly and feeling like we had made a friend.

This place is over-the-top, especially James, the representative who we ended up working with. The store itself is well-staffed: it has more people on duty during busier times, and it seems to have an extra buffer of staff on duty at all times. Thus, wait times are less than I have encountered elsewhere. (For reference purposes, my wife and I have had a cell phone for 20 years, mostly with Verizon, but we have also tried other carriers and kept coming back to Verizon.) James, who we worked with, is the perfect salesperson: He respected our knowledge and preferences, happily filled in with suggestions where we had uncertainty, and seemed at all times to be focused on one mission: How can I help them achieve what they want? In an ideal world, all of our future cell phone purchases would come through this retailer, and we would always work with James.
Today, I had a really unfortunate experience with the battery of my iPhone 6s, but this store made dealing with it so much easier than I was expecting! The first time I went, an employee whose name I did not catch was able to help me and send me home with instructions on backing up my phone and calling in a warranty claim on my iPhone. My phone had other ideas and wouldnt stay alive long enough for me to back it up, so I had to come back to the store to file the warranty claim with their help. The second time, I was helped by Blaine F., and he was seriously so wonderful and patient! He helped me through the process of filing a claim, then answered questions that I had about upgrading, then helped me cancel the warranty claim and upgrade to a new phone. That HAD to have been annoying, but he never showed it. All the while, he was super nice and held a good conversation. This is my first time visiting this particular Verizon store, and it was the best experience Ive ever had at one. Blaine and all the employees were so nice and helpful!!!
I worked with Travis at the Verizon store at University Place yesterday to purchase a new IPhone Xr. This was probably the most pleasant phone purchase experience I have had. Travis was very personable and a pleasure to work with. He took his time to ensure that I understood the various charges comprising my monthly rate and also made sure that my new phone was completely operational and that everything that was on my old phone made it to my new phone before I left the store. It seems no one has patience with the Oder folks nowadays. Angel proved to me that there is still hope! Hes the most patient person I have ever met, he helped me set up a phone that Verizon sent me with no instructions on how to activate it! It was my great fortune to have Ryan Wetter at this Verizon store help me acquire a new phone, restore me to sanity in the process, and witness my tears when he was able to find so many lost photos for me. An album of 457 pictures was deleted off my old phone somehow and there was no way to recover them on the phone. But with my brand new Samsung 9 he was able to pull up all the photos embedded in years of text messages in to the Gallery. Many of them were irreplaceable, and of my deceased father, and there were 45,000 text messages that transferred from that phone! He went the distance to make sure that something like this never happens to me again with my new phone. I am forever grateful for his experience, expertise, and inordinate patience with all my questions and concerns. Thank you Ryan, there just are no words for the gift you gave me.
I highly recommend this Verizon store @University Place in Chapel Hill, NC. I especially recommendSHANE who also works in Cary and Garner, NC. My phone quit working; I had Assurion coverage...Shane walked me through all the steps and when my replacement phone arrived, he told me to come back by and he would transfer all my data to the new phone, which he just did for me. Thank you Shane and the management who runs this location. Im finally back up and running.

Lots of confusion and incorrect information conveyed during the process. Most (not all) were ultimately resolved, however I was sold a deal that wasnt yet active and had to come back the following week to undo and redo everything. Not ethical to hook customers in and then waste hours of their time resolving issues. Further, I was told for the buy one get one free deal that I had to buy the same phone, when Verizon later clearly confirmed that I could have gotten the smaller model. I should have known with 211 reviews that this stores rating was artificially inflated. They will work with you, but make sure you check everything they tell you with Verizon before you sign any deals.
I have been with Verizon for many years and I have always dealt with one person and his name is Steve Ratzlaff. He has always given me great advice with plans and services for me and my son. I would suggest to anyone that if they want top-notch service to contact Steve. Verizon is lucky to have him as an employee. I have had to tell several of their customer service representative who have contacted me to sell me some of the services that Im only dealing with Steve.
Awesome experience, No pressure selling. Listened to what I wanted and made several suggestions to fit my needs. Excellent product and excellent experience. Will definitely be a great customer and Will recommend this store to others.

I was extremely pleased with my service at Verizon. I entered the store only knowing that I needed a new phone, unsure of what my exact plan of action would be. Travis kindly walked me through all of my upgrade options and patiently explained the pros and cons of each option. I walked out with the iPhone 8 and with all of my contents-- contacts, pictures, videos-- transferred over.As a grad student with limited free time to run errands such as this, I can say that this Verizon store made the best possible use of my time. I will not hesitate to return next time I am in need of assistance.
I highly recommend this location and Travis personally. He goes out of his way to help you. He is quick with a suggestion if you are not certain what you want. He is very knowledgeable about all their products. Travis is my familys go to guy!
Both Mike and Tracy were most helpful and patient with my hundreds of questions, and they provided me with appropriate information without pressing me in any way to spend more than I felt comfortable with. Tracy in particular spent lots of time with me and explained everything clearly as we went through the deciding and purchasing process!The smoothest, lowest-stress phone buying experience Ive ever had.
Update: I received a phone call the day after I wrote this from a district manager of the stores in this area and he helped straighten things out with the fees and such — I really appreciated the help and the proactive service. While it wasn’t an ideal situation on the whole, I am glad that the issue was addressed.——————I’m honestly surprised by the number of great reviews on here because I had a terrible experience with the purchase of a new phone from Blaine -- Im unsure of whether it was due to incompetence or a decision to take advantage of me, since he seemed friendly but perhaps new/inexperienced. Regardless of intent, this phone purchase has created inconveniences, fees, and wasted more time than I have to spend.To begin with, I went in to purchase an iPhone 8 Plus and turn in an iPhone 6 for trade-in credit. After he got the iPhone from the back, Blaine turned it on and passed it to me; I began to set it up myself through my Apple ID. This is important to note because there was a $15 fee on my bill from that day that I was later told was a set-up and data transfer fee.Upon asking for the phone, I told him that I wanted to pay for it in full that day; later, when discussing actual payment, he had set it up incorrectly to follow the monthly payment plan and told me that if I had wanted to pay in full that day, that the phone would have been an extra $100, and thus it was a better deal for me to go with the monthly plan, and if I wanted to pay it off I could just pay it off in full after the first bill. First of all, this is not true and I shouldve been able to pay it off in full that day. Second of all, I was prompted to write this review as I was just unable to pay the phone off in full today when I tried on my bill -- because the amount was wrong.Unfortunately, the issues dont end there. I was automatically signed up for Verizons insurance protection plan -- $11 a month. Not once was I asked about this, nor did I directly ask or agree to it. I got ahold of the store (after getting a busy signal 3 times) and was told it was an accident and that I was the one that needed to call *611 to fix this.Finally, I had to remind Blaine at the end to do the trade-in process and credit receipt for the phone I was turning in. That credit also has yet to show on my Verizon Bill.Frankly, after hours on the phone with Verizon trying to resolve the many issues that came with this phone purchase, Im fed up and unfortunately would not recommend this place to anyone purchasing a Verizon phone.
