Terrible experience. A 600 refund was lost and nobody Justyna did not want to be bothered. 600 lost. That all sounds good Justin’s it was your processor not mine I’m still without the 600 dollars all else is just talk you said you would follow up and you never did that’s when I threatened with a lawyer tell the entire story not just what makes you look good where is my 600 it’s your system your store not mine I followed everything I was told you put it all on me then turned your back truth is the truth all you talk about is the amount of time you have spent trying to get my 600 back with your flawed system you were not available and you made it very clear you did not want to be bothered very very poor customer service I’m still out 600 dollars your fault not mine

Very helpful and friendly - they explained some complex ideas about recumbent bikes in a very easy to understand way. Extremely knowledgeable in a way that worked for my friend who usually doesnt easily understand things.

The store has an excellent inventory of bikes and accessories. We were attracted to this store, because it has a great website with tips and advice. It looked like a great place to shop, and it is!We bought a second hand Brompton bicycle. These bikes difficult to find, because they are in high demand.The owners are lovely couple, who are very knowledgeable. They provides us options to improve cost and gave us a competitive price for the bike with its upgrades and accessories. Additionally, they offer maintaince workshops for Brompton owners, which is very convenient for these special bicycles.We strongly recommend this shop.

What a Wonderful local bike shop, they do repairs and sell bikes. Friendly staff, made me feel welcome even tho I didnt know much about bikes. I for sure recommend this place to experienced or new riders. Keep up the great work and I will for sure be back!

Awesome place, i walked in off the street with my fat tire bike back wheel and they got a new tube in it in about 30 minutes even though they were really busy with other repair orders. I will definitely be bringing my bike back if it needs any repairs, but hopefully that isnt any time soon.

Yes! Take your bike here! I normally dont write reviews, but I feel that Cosmic Bikes is special in that they performed a fix that numerous other bike shops either couldnt do, didnt have the time to do, or didnt want to take the risk doing.If you need to have a broken seat post removed from your frame - mine had corroded such that the aluminum frame had bonded with the carbon seat post - then Chris is your guy.Friendly, honest people.

I was disappointed with their customer service. While you can tell they are very knowledgeable they do not know how to prioritize projects. I came in looking for them to look at my bike at the time it was very empty because they had just opened and was told I should expect my bike to be finished in a few hours. I called 2 time an hour before they closed and no answer. I was told they could NOT finish my bike because they got a rush AFTER I left my bike. This perplexed me because they basically admitted to NOT working on my bike to prioritize customers that came in AFTER me!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COSMIC BIKES TO MY PEERS!!!!

I want there to buy a pair of tires for my Mountain bike, and they ended up selling me a pair of E-Bike tires for $99.00....They NEVER told me that they was for an e-bike... I had to go back and return them ..I went to Tailwind Cycles shop and they took care of me.Bought a nice pair of Mountain bike Continental CityTires for $55.00

We are a family who loves to bike together! However, my bike - an ElliptiGo 8C - is very unique. As a runner for over 30 years, this bike has been my saving grace because it keeps my knees happy. It has been very hard to find service providers to maintain it, though, because it is a rarer ride.If you have an ElliptiGo or any other unique bike, you MUST have Cosmic Bikes take care of it! I cannot thank them enough for the pick up and delivery options being offered during this time AND the best news of all is that my floor model bike rode the BEST that it has since I purchased it four years ago. It needed a few repairs and a good clean up and Cosmic Bikes delivered on every level. I highly recommend this shop for your needs. The whole staff was extremely helpful and nice. I asked for a tire installation and a cog replacement and they went above and beyond for me. I dropped by today to look at a bike I had been considering for some time now. First impressions were that the shop had a nice open layout and plenty of unique products geared for urban and outdoors cyclists alike. Upon walking in the door I was greeted with a smile and taken to the bike I had picked out. They let me test ride it and even swapped the stem during my test rides in order to ensure the bike was a good fit for me. I decided to purchase the bike and Justyna was incredibly helpful during the purchase process as well as describing the excellent service they offer for each new bike. I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase and the customer service I received while there was exceptional. It’s nice to go to a bike shop where you feel welcomed and they want to have a conversation with you about your bike in order to provide the best service they can.

Went to get my bike looked at and the staff was super helpful. They were honest in saying I was better off getting a new bike as the repairs would be more expensive. They also helped both our kids with bike and helmet size. Help out these local bike pros!!!

This will be my go-to bike shop: great service with no pretentious hipster attitude! I went in with an issue, they very kindly explained what was wrong, and laid out several options. Not pushy and not condescending like some other places. Repair service not expensive and super fast.If buying new bike, also so helpful, with many options, and you can go for test ride. Way better all-around experience than other shops, highly recommended!

I stopped into Cosmic Bikes today. The owners, were low pressure and knowledgeable, and best of all understanding of the type of cyclist I am and my needs when it comes to my bike. They answered all my questions and were just wonderful. Not only did they introduce me to my new bike love, but they offered me the custom features that take the bike from great to perfect.They couldn’t have a better location, just off the blue line on Milwaukee right across from Wilson Park, which is perfect for test riding bikes. I heartily recommend Cosmic Bikes and will be a patron for years to come. I encourage everyone to do the same.

My experience at Cosmic Bikes has been awesome. Justyna, Chris and the team have been professional, very informative and service oriented. They made me feel that I was their only client. I bought a Brompton recently and my Brooks handle grips started to loosen. Chris told me the ins & outs of the Ergon handle grips and sometimes a challenge on the Brompton T bars. I brought it in and 15 minutes later it was fixed! Their selection of bikes were perfect for the urban cyclist. If you go there to look for a bike, you find it there, along with excellent, professional service. 5 stars!

My all-time favorite to-go bicycle shop. People who work there are always just awesome, approachable, and they really know their bikes. Back in a day there was a lady working there (not sure if she still is) who set all time high standards in terms of customer service. Reasonable prices, convenient location, and good product selection.

Test drove it in Wilson Park and had some concerns about the breaks (it was one of their few used bikes). They kept it an extra day to make adjustments at no extra cost. The people working here seem to genuinely love bikes.

Ive I asked them to make a couple of, what I thought to be very difficult modifications to two of my bicycles. The executed them perfectly and inexpensively. Four different levels of tuneups you can get done to your bicycle. Bicycle mechanics that work here are superior. Nick is one of the top ten Bicycle mechanics in Chicago, in my opinion. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff.

For the three times that I used their services, I had very kind crew to deal with, and free air pump when I was down. But once that I needed to change my tire. I was shocked by the price I had to pay! It was more costly then in lekeview, I believe its was about $35 or $39. Something crazy. It does not want me to go back...

I recently had my bike serviced at this local bike shop. In the past I have attended some of their free informational events and they were always kind and courteous. Now I decided to take that leap and get my bike serviced and their customer service was amazing. They took time with their recommendations and never made me feel pressured to buy something that I didn’t need. We ran into an issue with my bike half way into the repair but they went above and beyond to fix the issue. They were sensitive to my budget needs and didn’t make me feel like I was a nuisance. I will plan to get my bike serviced here from now on, thank you to the Cosmic team!

Very knowledgeable and thorough bike shop when explaining bike science to customers. They have a bike clinic and free tacos and pizza on a set schedule found on facebook. This place is welcomed to Jeff Park based on its convenient location . They also schedule group rides at local trails in the area. Check em out!

Bought parts here and had a very good experience overall, brought my bike in for service and the mechanic tried to upsell on every last thing. Really only needed a gear cassette and derailleur adjustment, tried to sell me all new cables and the highest level tune up, for a total of over $230. Tried to explain I wasn’t interested in sinking that much money in for maintenance that I didn’t think was necessary and was shut down and treated with some snark. Took my bike to another local shop, was in and out in 25 minutes, got what I needed for $100, with some extra truing and other adjustments thrown in for free. Been on the bike for 3 months now, no problems. Bottom line, if you go here for service, I recommend getting a second opinion.

Cant get a hold of them on the phone. Their voicemail box is full. They dont answer emails. Apparently they dont want your business if you dont walk into the store. Cosmic Bikes is a fantastic, local bike shop in Chicago dedicated to building a biking community. They are also one of the few bike shops who are authorized Brompton (folding bike) dealers, and the only place I would go to to get a Brompton. I visited a couple Brompton dealers here and was shocked that some of Cosmics competitors did not even know how to properly fold and un-fold the bike. The owners of Cosmic, on the other hand, has been working with Bromptons for years, and owns and rides Bromptons for personal use as well.I had a specific customization of a Brompton that I was interested in getting, which typically would have involved a 7-8 week waiting period. However, after discussing with Justyna at Cosmic, she was resourceful enough to look into converting a similar bike from their east coast warehouse to my preferred specification at no additional cost to me, bringing the waiting period down to a little over a week. The amount of attentions and detail they put into bikes is amazing. When my bike arrived, Justyna noticed that my Brooks saddle was a little off and not perfectly centered, so she asked Brompton to send another one, and in the meantime let me use a standard saddle while waiting for my replacement to arrive. I am not sure if many other bike shops would have taken that initiative.I love that Cosmic offers a years worth of bike maintenance and service on new Bromptons. They have already done a fantastic job helping me service and solve minor practical issues as a new bike owner, and also do a great job of custom-ordering additional parts and accessories on my behalf.
