My husband and I did a walking visit and they tried to fit us both in before their lunch which didnt happen but they kept us informed on everything they almost made sure my 2 year old was comfortable the whole we waited definitely the place to go and my place for my family

I took my daughter here yesterday to get her vision checked, then picked out glasses. First, they offered an appointment at 6:15pm which was fantastic as I dont get off work till 5:30pm on the other side of town. Second, my daughter wasnt thrilled she still needed glasses, so after looking at a million options she finally saw the perfect frames. Unfortunately they werent covered by insurance, so we had to start from scratch and try again. The lovely lady working there found an almost identical pair, that were covered by insurance, and literally saved the day!!! Thanks again!!

Just picked up my 2nd pair of glasses from the store. Natalie was my selection specialist & is fantastic! She cares about making sure you are choosing the correct style, color, & shape for your face. She knows her stuff for sure. Also, when picking up my new pair, she made sure to fit them correctly to my face to make sure all was correct. My wife and I went to Visionworks for an eye exam and new glasses without an appointment. The staff was courteous and got us an eye exam. They also assisted us in finding new frames. Overall the experience was pleasant and we were treated very well. The eye Doctor was very nice and professional and the staff is first class. I Highly Recommend Visionworks.

I arrived a few minutes early bur was still taken care of shortly after walking in. The staff was courteous and helpful. They explained what each of the tests were for and told me, in advance, if there were any additional charges. The doctor was very friendly and got me through the exam quickly. when it came time to pick frames, I asked one of the ladies if she would help and she dropped what she eas doing an assisted me with picking two pairs. It ead a great experience.

Pros include good frame selection.Price was better that most othersConvenient location just inside main entranceCheck in was quickNeutral . Appointment was 2 day wait.Ophthalmologist was a bit mechanical but thorough.Cons. Didnt have all the latest test equipment, like the one that measures eyeball curve.Just used gauge and marker on glasses to set by-focalWhen picking up just handed them to me, didnt check if any adjustment needed. Just handed (2 pairs) them to me. In fairness when my wife picked hers up they did have her try them on in front of them.

Wait time from arrival to getting into my appointment was fast. Dr didnt ask much questions just did the normal this better or worse . Looking at glasses i had a hard time with finding ones that fit my very petite face. I ended up with glasses that fit my face shape but keep falling off. They didnt help much with that aspect.

Had an appointment today, (01/24/21) with my father and went in and they said our appointments were cancelled earlier that day. NO we did not cancel our appointments! I really needed this appointment for school and I was very disappointed hearing that they cancelled our appointments for us without our knowledge.We had gotten a call from them asking if we could come in earlier but we didn’t answer because it came up as spam risk. However, later we still got a notification saying our appointment was today at 4:15 and 4:30.My conclusion is they cancelled our appointments for us so they could go home early how unprofessional and inappropriate to do such a thing. I will be calling corporate and filing a complaint and they will never be getting my business and I will never recommend Visionworks!!!!!

I am so upset with this place. First my daughters 2 glass and contacts that we ordered were not even the right script and she was unable to see properly and even failed her vision test at school. So called and brought her back in to get a recheck.Well her glasses and contact script was incorrect. So had to get new lens. Well obviously new script on contacts. And since she had opened the box to her contacts and used one i am supposed to spend even more money for 2 entire new boxes of contacts. Which is complete bull. That this was ultimately their fault.Apparently this is a common thing here, because as we are sitting having the employee Alishia S reenter everything, the doctor came up and gave her another customer chart that also needed there scripted changed as well.I spent close to a 1000.00 to have her say well we tell you in the rooms that you shouldnt open your box of contacts no you didnt tell me you told my daughter because Im not allowed to go back. What teenager ever remembers what they are told. They gave my daughter a pair of contacts and didnt even tell her the brand go figure.I do not recommend this place at all. I wouldnt even give it 1 star after today.

I had a great experience today! I am 42 years old and I had my first eye exam done here today. From the moment that I walked in until I left, which was less then an hour, I was greeted with a smile from everyone I met. They looked into my insurance and got all the information for me and I was able to utilize it there. The doctor was very nice and explained everything to me. The last step was finding the glasses I wanted, they had a great selection . Alisha helped me make my choice and got everything squared away for me. I will be returning and sending my family and friends there! Thank you so much for a great experience !

The actual time with the eye doctor was the only thing pleasant about this experience. Before I got to the doctor, there was the ever present high pressure sales tactic with getting the new scan vs dilation. Dilation is only 40 degrees and will leave you blurry for 3-4 hours, but our fancy new machine will allow the doc to see 120 degrees and wont leave you blurry... its only $30 more.When I get done, I wait forever to be called to discuss new frames. Everywhere in that store there are signs hanging that ALL FRAMES ARE 50% off. My insurance covers $130 for frames so I think Im good... who wouldnt, Ive selected a frame that only costs $139. NOPE! Visionworks policy is to give that discount to YOU if you dont have insurance. If you do, they will the whole thing to the insurance companies. This is crooked as all get out and YOU folks are just part of the reason that insurance rates are so damn high. It should be illegal for you to pull this scam. On top of it, Since my frames were $9 more than what my insurance will pay for, they were going to charge me the difference! So let me break this down. I can walk in off of the street and buy this $139 frame for 50% costing me $69.50, but because I actually have insurance that covers prescription eyeware, yall crooks charge that big ole insurance company the full $139 and just because you are greedy as all hell... you stick me for another $9.00 to boot. Needless to say that I didnt buy glasses from them, nor will I ever walk back through their doors again.

I only gave one star for the actual doctor and the lady who helped us order our glasses afterwards! Seriously the check-in was awful because the receptionist wasn’t nice because we were two minutes late. She made us feel like an inconvenience and the lady who helped us continue our check in let the whole store know our appointment was cancelled for being two minutes late but would see us anyways. If I knew her being so annoyed with us being slightly delayed would have made the visit that bad, I would have just left and returned another day. When I called for an appointment, they never called back to confirm like I asked. They said they would call if they couldn’t find my insurance but they didn’t find it and the receptionist wanted me to go sit and find it while she started helping other people instead of them calling ahead of time to ensure the visit going smoothly. She loudly let the information desk make it known that finding the insurance was a problem as we were walking back to our exam. The man who did the pre-screening was rushing my daughter who is four and still learning letters so I felt he didn’t give her anytime to even think about which letter she was seeing. The doctor was so kind and the lady who helped us fill her prescription was super sweet too. I am a nurse and have been working this busy pandemic and there is absolutely no reason for such behavior. It’s unacceptable and we will not be back. Im sorry for the good staff that is having to deal with those employees.

Yes the wait is long but it was well worth it! I went to another place to get my vision exam done after getting lied to about my prescription I took the prescription to vision works I had two complications with my glasses which had to do with my eyes and not something they did wrong and they were very quick to fix my issues on top of that they had TONS of glasses to chose from that were covered by my insurance compared to the other place I went. I was able to pick a pair of frames I loved instead of a very basic pair of frames. I will be back the staff and service I got was awesome! Defiantly work the wait!

Everyone is so friendly! Its so convenient and easy to make an appointment online. The reminders are super helpful too! Such a great selection of frames and they take time to help you and explain all your lense options. They even were able to take pictures of my eyes with a special machine instead of dilating my eyes with the drops.

This location used to be a nice office to visit. However upon todays visit the service has gone down hill tremendously. I showed up on time for my appointment that I made using the online system. Took just a moment to update my paper work. Then I was told at 10:03 that the doctor wasnt even in yet. I was the first patient there. 20 minute later I still had not been seen. I asked for my records and all my families information and Ill be taking my business elsewhere. At that point a lady came out to call me back. I declined due to such poor service. As a fellow individual in the medical profession in this community you should really set the expectations to your customer if you cannot fulfill the appointment slots that you have booked. The floors are covered in stains and the entire store looks run down. I would recommend finding another location that valued their customers and took pride in their locations appearance.

I would like to start off by saying I gave this place 3 years of a chance to get a good review. This is the last straw honestly. 2016: rude front desk staff.2017: ordered contacts right before 2018 because insurance paid for it. Came back several times to get them they were never ready. Then they told me the order never went through so it was to late for my insurance to pay for them. The funny thing is my friend worked here and told me that they were here waiting at the time. So that means they must of lost them or gave someone the wrong prescription. Because why would my friend lie to me about this??? 2018: made an appointment days in advanced for an eye checkup. get to vision works for appointment which is at 4:45pm and now it is 5:43pm I asked front desk women why did I make an appointment and she said because you would of had to wait 2 hrs. Well it has been almost an hour and still nothing. She told me 15 mins ago it would be a few more minutes which is a lie. It’s 5:44pm almost an hour after my appointment and I have time while I am sitting here waiting for write this review.Thanks Visionworks team. You made me miss something important to do today. I wish these people would learn how to run a business. Go somewhere else. Anywhere just walk past this place to somewhere better in the mall. Your time is not important to them.They lost $199+ taxes in glasses frames and however much the lenses would be. Plus I refuse to ever go to another Visionworks establishment anywhere.

Great place to get glasses. Iyesha at Visionworks was so helpful, kind, and patient with me and my son. We were so picky about our glasses, Iyesha was never annoyed with us. Going to Visionworks was the worst experience that I have ever had. My husband and myself had appointments for eye exams on aSunday. I was scheduled first but they called my husband first. I knew something was wrong then because they took my husband back on my appointment time. When I went back to get my eyes examined, there was no privacy at all. There were a lot of other people back there at the same time talking with the lady who was doing the exam. How was she doing the exam for me and talking with others? So I finished the exam along with my husband and we went to the waiting area. Our appointments were at 12 noon and 1215p and by 200p we had still was not seen by anyone. All the ladies were assisting walk-ins instead of appointments. So my husband and I left very frustrated. I attempted to go to another place to get some glasses only to be told that Visionworks had a hold on my insurance so we called them and the lady stated to me over the phone that she did not know how to take the hold off. Wow I said, so no glasses for me. So yesterday I went back to Visionworks to try and get some glasses and here we go again with the waiting game. This place is so unorganized and the people there have no clue to what theyre doing. I asked the lady at the desk to take the hold off my insurance so that I can go elsewhere and she told me that I was not authorized any more glasses because I have already purchased a pair. Well my husband purchased glasses not myself. So what Visionworks did was charge me for my husbands glasses on the insurance claim and filed it causing my insurance authorization to go away. And the lady at the desk yesterday blamed the insurance company but it was their office that misfiled the claim under me. I had to contact my insurance company to get my authorization back for eyewear because Visionworks filed the claim in error. I have to wait 24 hrs now before I can purchase glasses. I will never go to this establishment ever again. Bad customer service and they truly do not know what theyre doing.

Walked right in to get frames and new lenses at around 6:25 and by 6:55 we had found lenses and had finished everything! Fantastic customer service by Natalie W. She was super kind and was able to call our insurance and get everything situated that Lenscrafters had messed up for us within minutes. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to others!

First time trying here and I will say, I will not be returning here again! I had an appointment at 12:45 and didn’t get to see the doctor till after 1:20. And when I went up there to ask how much longer it was going to be, the lady with a broken ankle forgot about my appointment when I clearly told her what time it was. And the lady with dreads or braided hair was awfully rude and very poor attitude, especially to a handicapped gentleman. And I had to wait even longer to get glasses set up. Only good thing about it was I got a discount because their network was down.

I’m annoyed to the point that I won’t go back. I usually go here even though the doctor is always someone different because it’s easy to walk in when I have the time. But this last time the doctor decided that going out to the parking lot for 20 minutes while they had a full schedule so that he could sign paperwork to buy his vehicle was ok. Since my appointment they have scheduled an appointment for me “because my contacts are going to expire” even though I WAS JUST THERE for a contact exam. And when I called I was kept on hold while the girl went to ask someone why I had an appointment. I was going to cancel it but she kept me on hold too long. And just now they called me to let me know that the “trial pair of contacts” from my exam came in. I LEFT THE OFFICE WITH TRIAL CONTACTS IN MY EYES. And I’ve already received my prescription. The girl said “well they probably didn’t have them in stock while you were in..it’s free” GIIIRLLL. How many times do I have to say “you gave me a trial pair while I was there” ???? So what, you just give patients whatever you have that’s closest and don’t tell them?? But the trial pair I have MATCHES the prescription I’ve already received?!?! It has been such an annoying cluster...I’ll find somewhere else to go for my next exam.

The actual doc was very nice. The huge issue I have is the general lack of motivation and direction by the front office staff. The receptionist seemed inconvenienced when the doc asked her to call Vanderbilt to set up a referral appt. Who ever is in charge really should take control of their crew because I felt as though most of the employees were just drifting around doing whatever just kind of popped in their head.

They lost my appointment. I ended up waiting an hour for my eyeglass exam only for it to take 5 minutes. When completed they wanted me to wait longer to get fitted for glasses after already waiting there for an hour. Rude staff didn’t even bother to speak to you when you walked up to the front desk. Yes, the wait was a little longer then I would prefer since we had an appointment but once my son got in to his exam, things went fairly quick. It was our 1st time using Vision Works and staff was very friendly and helpful. Just remember when you complain about waiting that anywhere you go you will have to do the same. Not everyone can be #1, so everyone has to be treated equally.

I got an eye exam at another place my family has always used. They wanted $400 for a pair of glasses. My insurance (Davis) recommends VisionWorks. So I went there to see if I could get glasses cheaper. I did.Sydney at the Clarksville store was great. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She had to go the extra mile because the other place I went previously put a hold on insurance claim. Sydney dealt with my insurance problem and got everything straightened out for me. I will definitely go back next I need an exam. My glasses are perfect and were ready to pick up in 3 days.

This was the worst experience Ive had with the company over a decade. I waited over an hour for eye exam and I had an appt. The staff kept taking walk-ins before scheduled patients. Then they take you to the back to sit for another 40 mins, with limited chairs, and all 4 to 5 family members of other patients coming to the back only to have kids running around causing there to be inadequate sitting for actually patients. Then if it wasnt bad enough, they brought a patients mother back to verify demos as her insurance was not showing something in the company. Yes two employees brought her to the back, where multiple people and families were waiting, to discuss her insurance and confirm demos out loud. That is a serious HIPPA violation. What makes it worse is one of the teenagers waiting in the back actually wrote some portions of the womens information down. I have never seen anything like it. The optometrist was very efficient and pleasant.The lady who helped me check out was very pleasant and talkative but not very effective at explaining my billing, I do have insurance. She didnt explain my bill or how we arrived at that price. It was a very disappointing experience and I probably wont be back.

Paid $400 for my glasses. They royally messed up my prescription on my left lens and said that I would just have to adjust to it. IT WAS THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION!!! Now I have to wait ANOTHER 14 business days for them to hopefully get it right... Without so much as an apology

Several of the associates I dealt with over the course of four weeks had terrible attitudes and didnt take me seriously. I was given glasses with the wrong prescription lenses in them and associates pawned me off to avoid dealing with my problem. They kept telling me I was just adjusting to the new lenses and needed to give them more time, even though I was having headaches and nausea, and after wearing glasses for 25 years, I think Id know the difference. I eventually gave up and stopped wearing the glasses. When I came back to insist on having them fixed, a different associate read my lenses and confirmed that the wrong prescription was in the left eye! Finally someone was helping me. I regret that it took a whole week for someone to catch this error and come to this conclusion.All things considered, I have to say Ive been quite patient with VisionWorks over this mistake that has taken four weeks to correct, but today an associate outright told me that the mistake was somehow my fault, and it took away any redeeming feelings I had about this place. At one point, I had called the store to ask them if my glasses were ready because I never received a pickup notification. Even though the employee on the phone told me they were ready, today someone told me that was not true and that I actually rushed them to finish my glasses too fast. If I had only waited, apparently they would have been made with the correct prescription. I was pretty confused why she thought I needed to hear this, but also insulted by the accusation, and unimpressed by the excuse. If my glasses had not been ready when I called in, the employee who answered the phone had every right and responsibility to say that they werent ready. I also dont see how its my fault that the store ordered the wrong lenses and then put them into my frames without checking that was correct. If theyd felt any sort of imaginary pressure from me to rush the glasses, its still no excuse to do the job so stupidly and then also tell me Im imagining the problem. To top it off, they tried to give me back the wrong glasses case.If you need more reasons not to go to this store, of note is that this place isnt even up to the same basic standards as competitors like LensCrafters. They may be cheaper, but I realized this Xmas that you get what you pay for. I picked my glasses up twice, yet no one took the time to look at them on my face and make sure the frames fit. Secondly, they measure pupillary distance with a ruler and a Sharpie instead of the more accurate computer software. Sure, it can be done this way, but after years of going to LensCrafters, I felt uncertain about the product I was going to receive, and my gut feeling wasnt wrong.

The morning of my appt. my anxiety levels were pretty high, I expressed this to the the staff and Dr. So that they would not be caught off guard should I become inpatient etc . I anticipated that with this information would make the staff uncomfortable and I’d get additude this was not the case at all ...they were very attentive and conscious keeping me up to date making constant contact with me which made my anxiety levels drop dramatically . I would recommend them over and over again my experience was genuine and humble left me speechless. Dr. Beaubien is a good soul and the people that work for him are a perfect fit . Literally whats the point in having an appointment when every year they never get me be back till 30 mins after my appointment!! And dont get me started with their customer service downright rude as hell!! Dont reccomend every coming here!! Was there from 10:30 till 12:30 what the hell!!

Make sure you get them to tell you the full price of everything. Not just the frames. They have no problem making you wait and waste your time for two hours just to throw out there that theres an out of pocket fee for lenses too.

I walked in and the complete process took less then an hour from exam to picking out frames. No Im just waiting for a call to pick them up. Which i hope is soon!!!!!

VisionWorks corporate office refused to speak with me despite that fact that I filled out all of the paperwork at the office. The local office refused to process the eye exam claim correctly so that it could be paid by the insurance company. I even had the rep from the insurance company on the phone explaining how to process the claim, and the VisionWorks employee said they will not do it that way. Incompetent employees and horrible business practices!
