This is the place for the best tamales in Des Moines! Everyone is so friendly! I just cant tell you enough how great the tamales are!

Your store is beyond dusty you can see it all over the flags and celling. While waiting in my food I was looking at your cookies etc most them all expired in feb-June this year . The meat case was looking real nasty in outside of the glass. If you get inspection you would definitely be shut down .

The best quesabirrias in town are here, if you havent already its a must!

This is the best fried taco joint in all of Iowa, PERIOD!!!! If u havent tried them, then your really missing out. U better order ahead of time if your not dinning in. Your also gonna want more then 2, cuz I promise u cant eat just 1 or 2, lbs.

The steak burrito is so good it’ll make you a better person. Their hot sauce will make you cry tears of joy and pain at the same time. This is not a joke, you will regret every day that passes without having tried the steak burrito here. 11/10

Great authentic mexican grocery & foods!

This place is a Gem. One of my favorite places to get tacos in Des Moines.

Went for the special last night with a friend of mine and it was out of this world good! flavor on point and the owner checked on us a few times to make sure we were all set. On top of that they are a lil grocery store and sell all kinds of things. 10/10 would recommend!

Couldnt find the dried peppers I was looking for, came here, they had a huge selection of those and more. The guy working was super friendly, and incredibly helpful!

I was not there long enough to see everything. I ordered a beef soup and the chef did an amazing job. I plan to go back.

I was raised on authentic Mexican food and La Favorita does not disappoint! I got three delicious carne asada tacos and a coke for less than a value meal from McDonalds. I highly recommend this quaint little spot!
