Very awesome place to dine we try to go once a month for our date night

Went with my friends on Christmas Day and had all u can eat crab legs and it was amazing the food was the best and the service was great it has everything u want and more I would recommend it to everyone

Hey, I get it. Detroit isnt known as a culinary capital, but cmon!The selection of food was actually acceptable, but the execution was off.- Decent Asian selection, props to Pad Thai and Mongolian. Terrible wonton soup- pork roast dry- pizza decent- jambalaya too salty- fried chicken okay

The place offers a fantastic variety of delicious food. I liked eating here. Staff members are always helpful, prices are affordable and the spot is always kept clean.

This restaurant is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. when I want to go to a decent dinner, this restaurant comes immediately to my head. outstanding and all kinds of food and a rich menu.helpful staff, and great vibes. Also, the cost is reasonable. I tell about this restaurant with no doubt.

One word amazing! Our friend took us to dinner. And Wednesdays they have a seafood buffet. The food is out of this world! The 3 of us ate crab legs and oysters on the half shell. This place is worthy of 10 stars. They have so many delicious foods to choose from but sadly I ate more crab legs than I should have. But I was in sweet buttery heaven! My husband and our friend ate a variety of foods which they really enjoyed. The desserts were divine! We will definitely go back again and again.

Always a good variety of food. Staff was helpful and polite. We caught their Sunday brunch on a Saturday. Very good food! All that was missing was a mimosa, which should have been included in the brunch because of the fee to eat. Thats why Im giving it a 4 out of 5 stars.

First visit. It was very neat and clean. The staff was very polite and provided great customer service. Food tasted fresh and delicious, especially the desserts! Ill definitely be dining here again.

They really have improved on the quality of food an dining experience. Every item from many salads to main coarses an sides they look an ARE so tasty. Congrats Palette on improving your foods.

Since my daughter turned 21 last year she always wanted to go to MGM. We stopped in to have dinner at Palette which was delicious! We really enjoyed the food. 😊

Not only are the desserts 🔥 The food is delicious. And the guys that get drinks for u/get the plates out of the way are super good at there job and friendly. PLEASE TIP THE GUYS THAT GRAB UR DISHES AND GET U DRINKS! Its only right.

Went during Sunday brunch. Great options, loved the grits. Some items werent their best, but plenty to choose from. For some reason it takes way too long to be seated when plenty of tables are open. Apparently couples and singles cant sit at a four-top table according to wait staff. Pretty annoying.

My husband and i went on a Wed. All u can eat crab legs. We ate till we were bursting at the seems. Food was Hot and so juicy. Love it cant wait to go again.

AMAZING....food was tender and seasoned very well. Never had to wait on the food it was already cooked not not picked over and fresh. The service was perfect.

Same menu pretty much, but its always good. I go on 50/50 Thursday, half off. The area that prepares your stir fry is always a winner. The chicken is always good, the corn beef tender, and a made to order crepe finishes everything. MUCH BETTER THAN MOTORCITYS BUFFET.

I had not been to the palette in a long time. My husband and I went here to catch dinner and it was very good. It appears as if they made some renovations. The salad was awesome and everything on the salad bar was fresh it was well kept not a lot of overflow it was delicious! The wait was about 5 minutes to get in because the casino was very crowded. I also had chicken and the sweet potato mash which was delicious I will make sure that I use my points toward dinner here often, it is really worth it even if I had to pay cash. When I used my rewards card I also received money off the total cost.

Service was great once I got past the cashier. We came here for Easter Sunday Brunch and it was like pulling teeth working with the cashier at the front.We asked if they would only be serving their Easter menu or if they would be including their usual fare. She didnt know and said just the Easter menu but that we could go take a look before purchasing. Sure enough, they were serving both. We almost left based on her answer.Then, she was unable to tell us that if we had a chip credit card that we had to come to her. Once I told her that my card wasnt working, she got attitude and told us that we needed to see her if we had a chip as if she had already told us.She was very impersonal, however, we stayed and ended up receiving excellent service from the host, our waitress, and especially the gentlemen in the kitchen doing omelettes. He was very nice.Lots of food options spread out in a peculiar way. Breakfast, salad, seafood, and desserts.

MGM Casino has the best casino buffet in Detroit. A good wait staff and decent variety. Sections are American, Asian, seafood, salad, and dessert. Everything is not always perfect, but you should enough to your liking for an enjoyable meal. The desserts alone should leave you happy.The entire buffet dining area is now non-smoking, but the smoke still drifts in from the gaming area - get seated in the back of you dont like smoke. Even there, you cant completely escape it.The coffee is always excellent.This is one of the places I great myself to on occasion.

The service was amazing. The price seems kinda costly, but the quantity and variation if food makes it worth it. There were some items that seemed to be under the heat lamp too long and were made to be dried out

Its alright. Not saying to myself I cant wait to go back either. Quite honestly I love Motorcity Casino food better. But... MGM Palette is just alright

Palette is delicious. Love the buffet because its just that...full of variety and great customer service. Mondays are American BBQ and if youre a MGM cardholder you and up to 4 in your party get 10% which is nice since the buffet costs $29.

The food stations are spaced out nice, I like that. Theres lots of variety and the food is good. Its not excellent but its good. Service has always been wonderful!

The food here is consistently awful. I am regularly at MGM and have given their buffet a chance on several occasions this last visit I actually got sick. Its Its unfortunate that they allow that quality of food to be served considering that it is an MGM property. The only things that are palatable at palette are the deserts. Dont waste your money.

We went for lunch and both agreed that Motor Citys buffet is better... The food wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. A lot of the meat was dried out, some foods were extremely salty, and others needed flavor, and you have to get your own drinks ( for 23$+ a person and a tip ) you can bring us a pop!!!!! My favorite was the ice cream. I would say, go just to try it. But keep in mind that its only OK.. OH, and not once did I see a staff cleaning/sanitizing the utensils that you use to pick up your food ( that everyone touches )... I hate that!!!!!

Wide variety of choices. Wednesday seafood buffet is my favorite. Snow crab legs and raw oyster on the half shell are served. The desserts are fabulously delicious and made in-house. The crab legs and oysters may run out on a busy Wednesday night.

Wednesday shouldnt be the only, aim to please day of the week. I was in disbelief of the layout for such a nice Casino. The buffet didnt hit well at all. Sorry, not sorry.

Have to give them a 3 on the snow crab one they are very small but worse yet they were mostly cold which meant you couldnt crack the shell and pull out the meat easily you had to use a fork or some other means to pry the show apart and then dig for the meet in pieces. I think were ruling out the Wednesday crab fest its a lot to be up late I have to get up the next morning just wasnt worth it. Everything else was good as usual but very predictable.

Had there buffet .It was great. Food was awesome. Desert was the best. I always go for the Maurice salad. They have everything to create yourself. You can make up your chinees bowl. Anyway you want. Cant go wrong with it.

My friend was visiting grom outnof town and 20 of our Co workers all met up there last August. We had 2 large round tables. We had a great time because most of us are retired and hadntnseen each other in a long time. The food was great. We sat around talking and taking pictures.

Fantastic buffet! It is quite pricey on Seafood Wednesday but man, nothing beats all you can eat quality crab legs! 90% of the food is hot and fresh. The other 10% being things people dont touch too often (like chicken nuggets and pizza and even the mac n cheese) Staff is so nice even when there is a mile long line to get in. Great place.

Found the staff to be rude and indifferent, but the manager was warm and caring. We were seated for over 15 minutes without even served water. The entire wait staff actively ignored our table . Although the manager has comped us a free replacement visit, my recommendation is go to Motor City for better service, food, options and ambiance.

A few years ago this place was awesome. Huge selection of food. Now its a joke. If I want hibachi Ill go to B.Ds for half the price. Saw an add for a.u.c.e. snow crab on Wednesdays for $50. I love crab and wouldnt eat here at normal price.

Terrible buffet. Really disappointing! For $28 buffet, at leat6I expect decent food. But it is nowhere near decent. Food taste nasty. Doesnt taste fresh. Most dishes are cold. Dont have good selection of meat.

There was an issue with pricing. The reservation price and door price were different so bad a bit of confusion. Waiters were quick and attentive to our large group. Food was really yummy. They had bowls of crab legs available.

Its a but expensive for a buffet on certain days but their hibachi style bowls a made to order crepes are delicious!! We happened to come when they had prime rib. It was nice and tender.

Ive been coming here every Christmas for 8 years, and Im so disappointed now. They used to have all 5 buffets open, now one is closed. They used to bring you your drinks, now you have to get them from a Coke freestyle machine. Dont really see the point of tipping at this point...

This is probably my 4th time going to Palette. Ive always enjoyed the array of quality food provided for dinner. We visited on a Friday night. Prime Rib night. It was around 630-7pm and the restaurant was much slower than I remember in the past. After sampling multiple stations, including the Prime Rib, I think I figured out why. The quality seems have gone down. Most items tasted very generic. Not up to the standard of MGM Casino standards. I dont know if they switched supploers, but I was disappointed based on the price paid: $36. I may return, but not for a while. Hopefully, they will go back to offering higher quality dishes.

Theres a great selection to choose from. The dry rub ribs, made-to-order stir fry, fried chicken and pizza are really good. The waiters are friendly and prompt in clearing the tables. Good creme brule, crepes and self-serve soft ice cream and toppings for dessert.

Crab nite was yummy. If you have comps, it is worth it. The casino has made a few changes. They are all good in the Palette room.

No pearl Buffett line like other MGM properties. Very smokey. Some of the games were dirty. Roulette table had broken machines. I could not play. Left early. Bright side bathroom was clean.

This place is usually good on Wednesdays but as of lately the food is subpar. Especially the crab legs. Before you used to be able to just snap the leg and the meat would just about fall out. I literally have to dig it out with a fork now. I dont know if they are overcooking it or what

The food is repetitive, and nothing special. Once in a while, when they are not always frying chicken they will have something substantial, but for the price, if youre not the one buried in comp points, it is definitely not worth the $25-30 depending on which days and times you go.And No, Golden Coral is not the other solution.Just pack a cooler of food, go take a breather from all the cancerous second hand smoking clouds you experience in nearly every spot (excluding the tiny rooms), and eat a sandwich.Some of the food they bring out, like the salmon, is questionable. Is it farm raised with good practice standards? If so is it certified chemical free? What about the beef that looks like it has been sitting in the warmer too long... You cant just stir it every few minutes hoping those black dry clumps go away.And the asian station, that shrimp looks awfully close to the chicken and beef. Cross contamination?I would have that place shut downDisgusting.But the large room full of terrible food is nice.

The omelette station was awesome. The grits were cold and lumpy, the sausage and bacon was greasy and cold, the mashed potatoes were disgusting and the silverware that was wrapped in the black napkin had dried food on the spoon. All in all one of the worst dining experiences ever at MGM Grand .

2 awful experiences in a short period of time. One of the cashiers is so rude it is simply not tolerable. We came in and the kiosk were turned off. When I went to a cashier she was rude when I asked about the kiosk. She was so rude that I signed my receipt not with my name but, rude service. A week or two later we came back to treat an out of town guest to some sweets to take home. The same cashier was there, she looked at us turned around and left us standing there.i spoke with managers both both times, management was exceedingly apologetic. Even with the apologizes it is time for us to go somewhere else to enjoy ourselves.
