I’ve been to a few diesel mechanics over the past year, and G&R Diesel has become my go-to place when I need help with my janky ‘97 Ford. I live and travel in it full-time, so having a good mechanic is a high priority for me. If I need work done and I’m out of state, I wait (if I’m able) until I’m back in Salt Lake so they can work on it - they’re honest and have put quality work into my ambulance. They’re also pretty friendly, I enjoy talking with them.

I trust these guys with my truck. They took good care of me with my 7.3 Excursion, and they were the first place I went when I picked up a used F350 6.7 last spring.

I have used G&R for a couple of services over the last few years and so far I am impressed with their work and knowledge. On my last service I had them replace the front end ball joints, u-joints, & hubs. When I first drove it after the repair the steering wandered to the point that it was a bit of work keeping it between the lines on the highway. I had them check it again and they said everything was fine. I had someone else check the alignment and it was within specs. After searching the internet I discovered that stiff ball joints were most likely the culprit and needed a break in period in order to loosen up. A few hundred miles later and the pulling is gone and the truck drives like new.

Took my Dodge 2500 here twice and the service and repairs have been awesome! They are quick to diagnose the issues and do not nickel and dime you. They have NEVER tried to upsell me on other repairs which I really respect! Their prices have been very reasonable and theyve replaced both a torque converter and a clogged fuel pump that was causing a check engine light. Overall, Ive been really impressed at their service and the experience with the repairs and pricing each time Ive had them work on my truck. Would highly recommend these guys as the positive reviews I read upon finding them are true and mirror my own experiences.

These guys are life savers. After getting reamed at another shop I called to get a second opinion. They fixed my RV at half the price and actually got down to the root of the issue. Everything runs great now and they helped me with a few tips on how to avoid the engine issues in the future. Only bad part was it took a month for them to finish the job.

Ive read all of these reviews I have been going to this shop for over 15 years they have had plenty of time to take advantage of me. I have never met people that are so focused on just making sure youre taken care of. Anybody that would accuse these guys of not actually doing the work they bill for has got to be out of their mind. They fix my stuff even when its my fault and they never overcharge me. I would never take my truck anywhere else Unless I just need the air up the tires. Great guys. I always bring my Truck here for work and they have taken care of us for years. Ive even brought a gas engine or two here even though they specialize in diesel since they have done such a great job.I always recommend G&R to anyone with a diesel. No where else.

Honest and affordable diesel repair. Also took time to explain stuff on our new to us truck.

Used this company for a few years usually did a good job. Last time the repair did not go well, they forgot to hook up a fan system after the repair and my truck overheated going up Parleys. When I called them and said I was sitting on the side of the road, they said bring it in we will get to it in a week or so. This did not sit well with me, took it to another mechanic who immediately found the problem. I will never take my trucks to them again.

AWESOME SHOP!!! Took my 2005 Ford F250 Powerstroke into them for some injector issues. Everyone was friendly, professional, and ensured I was taken care of. I was having issues with an insurance company getting them to pay for damages that were a result from a front end collision. The guys in there had no problem setting the insurance agent straight and getting it taken care of. They diagnosed my truck, ordered the parts and I had my truck back the next day. Truck runs awesome again. Cant say enough about this awesome shop. Had a price quote for the same work from Larry H Miller Ford in Sandy, and Fords price was literally $1,000 more! They got a new customer for life! And by the amount of trucks in their parking lot, I am not the only one who thinks this. Go to them, get your truck done right by honest people, you wont regret it!

Honest, fast, and patient.I shopped around before deciding to take my truck to G & R. I was impressed by the fact that an owner answered the phone when I called G & R. I looked at the google and facebook reviews of many shops. I was impressed that Roy, of G & R, was willing to talk about each of the reviews for G & R. He was patient with me.Once my truck was at their shop, Roy took the time to listen as I described the problem. I could tell he was listening by the caliber of the questions he was asking. His questions demonstrated a sincere desire to correctly diagnose my trucks malfunction. After working on my truck he called with several options of how he could fix it and patiently explained the pros and cons of each to me. He was very upfront on the costs. He respected my financial constraints. He initially told me it would take almost ten days to get to my truck. However, he was able to work it in and get it done in three days!I highly recommend G & R Diesel to anyone!

I took my 2001 GMC Sierra 2500 in to get the fuel injectors replaced about 2 years ago and they did a great job, they were quick and took the time to show me the old ones they removed. I have not had any problems with them since. I would have given them 5 *** but I think their customer service could be a little nicer maybe and prices are a bit high. But I also take into consideration that they say they use High Quality Parts. Hope this is helpful to anyone looking to take their vehicle to them.

My cousin has come here for years. Has nothing but good things to say. I have used them twice now both good experiences. They are straight to the point and get it done right. Way cheaper than the dealer. Im very particular and I trust them.

They never do the work they are asked to do. They have never put a new part on the work truck. They over charge and steal your personal belongings also. I would check into other mechanic before bringing your vehicle here. Check out the video I posted.

I took my truck into G & R to have the motor pulled and sent out to have it rebuilt, the cab was never bolted back on properly, my electrical is screwed up, the heater has not worked since last year, they dont return calls, my transmission wont shift right and because they never call me back until after the 90 day warranty is up they dont have to fix any of it. Have fun with them

Called to ask a question about my truck. I am a first time diesel owner and I had a simple question. Not a big deal so I thought the guys that picked up was a pompous jack ass he treated me like a second class citizen like my little question was the world coming to an end. Then to making it better he did not answer my question he told me Ill have to get back with you and let you know that hat I find. Now 2 days later still waiting for G&R diesel to get back to me. So after that experience I called one of the other diesel shops in the valley and I got me question answered right away and treated like they care about my business. so in short my new cummins will be going in for all my upgrades somplace else not here and I dont ever recommend rewarding a business with your money so they can treat you like you are a dumb retard.
