Im not THE Rocky Patel but I am a Rocky Patel. Lets start with that... I was in there for the first time this week. I was impressed with how nice the place was. The lounge area was comfortable and inviting looking. I would plan some time to go there and hang out one day. As far as the humidor goes, its very nice. I love the selections. Lots of good stuff there. I was impressed with their rather large selections of really nice Padrons compared to other cigar stores.. However, I was in there for a not so usual mission. To find a cigar flavor profile I had not really smoked in the past 20 years. Typically I smoke, Padrons, RP, Perdomos, CAO, My Fathers, La Tradicions and some others obviously but too many to list. . But my flavor profile is usually a good medium to full bodied cigars. I noticed that since the past 5 years or so I have not smoked as regularly as I used to. And as such my taste profile has changed. I found I had to back down from the full bodied flavors to a bit left. Closer to medium to mild/medium. The gentleman saw that I was floundering around in making a decision and stepped in to ask if I needed some help. I explained what I wrote above to him and he pointed out a very nice Romeo and Juliet sampler pack. It had 4 cigars in it ranging from mild to a Nicaraguan version(med/full or full). Im assuming medium to med/full being a Nicaraguan. R&J are not ones that I usually buy but this time may be different. I took his advise and bought the sampler pack and was happily surprised how much I enjoyed the 1875. Cant wait to try the next one up in the pack. All in all cant wait to go back. Nice place and friendly people.. So much so, I decided to come here and write all this...

Went in to get a Tatiana Classic Groovy Blue Cigar. I was greeted warmly and served attentively. I love the Groovy Blue, but Shaun understood the desired flavor (sweet) I was going for and I ended up purchasing an Acid Blondie instead. Sweet with a pleasant aroma. I will be returning Super Bowl weekend! Go Los Angeles Rams!

Ive frequented the store numerous times and have always been greeted and treated in an outstanding manner. Fantastic selection of cigars, great prices and if help is needed the staff is right there to answer any questions. Fantastic!!! I went last evening for the first time, in search of expert guidance and quality cigars for a friend. What a WONDERFUL experience! The ambiance immediately put me at ease with a relaxed, upscale parlor at the entrance. The new owner, Shawn, was a wealth of information and lived up to his nickname of “Mr. Nice Guy.” He took time to talk with me about my friend’s preferences and explained the different products in his selection. Shawn describes cigars with the same finesse one would discuss fine wine, spirits, and art. I suppose cigars are an art form, certainly for the sophisticated enthusiast. I settled on three and Shawn gifted a Cuban for my friend. He really is a Nice Guy! Whether you are in the market for yourself or someone else, stop in and let Shawn help you find exactly what you want!

Great customer service and great cigar selection.

The overall place was nice and he had a decent selection of cigars, but I really felt unwelcome in this establishment. My co workers and I stopped by to enjoy a few cigars and catch a few games and the guy named Tom did pretty much everything but tell us to shut up. Every time we talked he would turn the TV up and down and a few times I saw him giving my friend nasty side eyed looks. The likelihood of me patronizing this place of business again is slim to none. That’s not how you treat your customers. I rather you not serve me at all rather than you treat me like I’m not welcomed.

First time heading into Macks Cigar Shop off Sugarloaf Parkway tonight. Ive got to say its a hidden gem and great spot in Duluth.Make sure you say hello to Shawn Mister Nice Guy Dirksen! Shawn is a great host with a vast knowledge off his cigar brands. Definitely worth a visit when in the Suwanee/Duluth area!

Im from out of town. Stepped into the shop with a cold greeting and blank stares. I wish the place had been more inviting. A little personality and customer service goes a long way. We found it at other smoke shops we visited in Atlanta.The store keepers Doberman was fantastic. Wish I could have taken the dog home with me.

The idea that proper cigar etiquette is that you cant touch cigars in a humidor is flat out wrong. If a cigar shop owner wont let me touch the cigars Im going to assume they arent in good condition. How is a person supposed to try a new cigar brand with out inspecting the cigars look, feel and smell? Ive bought cigars in shops all over the country and not once was I scolded for touching the cigars.

I went here last week and the selection and staff were absolutely fantastic. Ask the gentleman behind the counter for his opinion on some cigars and he was knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Just visited Macks Cigar Shop and had a great experience. Upon walk in, theres a small lounge area with some sofas facing a large television. Theres also a smaller table with a couple stools to sit around, so nothing overly impressive.However, the humidor was very large with a huge selection to choose from. I hadnt planned on making a purchase (lol be honest), but came across three Andalusian Bulls so I had to pick one up. Theres a large selection of the Fuente core line and some Opuses(?). I didnt have much time to peruse, but I will definitely be visiting again.On checkout, Tony was kind enough to make some small talk with me. He told me hes been in the cigar business since he was 17 and that he had another box of the bulls. I knew if I didnt want to break the bank, Id have to leave then. I really did like the fact he let me look around the humidor without breathing over me and do my own thing.05/10/2019Im changing my review. I just left and I guess theres new management. I was stared at, I said hello and no reply. Proceeded to the humidor and it took nearly 10 minutes to get some help. I said I was fine and before I could even finish the statement, the guy backed out. Wont be returning.

Great cigar selection! Also sat for a few and caught most of the xfinity race, smoked my cappuccino cigar, and enjoyed the company! Will go back soon!

Owner or grumpy employee must have got no present from Santa and rude without any greeting as a business place! This was my second time here and seem like he didn’t care to be there and NOT friendly at all! I’ll go somewhere else!

I dont smoke regularly but if I want to pick up a1926 Padron or any Padron I know they have what I want. I walk in they let me browse and Im out. Some men need special attention I just want a good cigar.

My fiancé and I visited this store and we felt welcomed from the time we stepped foot inside. Customer service was terrible and the guy basically rushed us out of the shop, probably so he could watch tv some more. We will not be back and we will not be recommending this shop to anyone.

Today, a friend and I walked in here on a whim, telling myself I would try a stick that is new to me every weekend. We were verbally greeted by somebody whom appeared to be the owner, as well as physically by his dog (whom appeared to be a doberman). Both were welcoming and pleasant enough. we immediately walked into the humidor. We were followed by the dog, who stopped at the door and seemed to understand that it was off-limits. Shortly after the owner, walked in and asked if he could help us with anything. We politely declined. After perusing their humidor just to enjoy the browsing, I turned for the counter and asked specifically if he could help me find a medium to full bodied cigar and mentioned that I regularly smoke a stick that is medium to full and was a nice maduro. He offered a few suggestions and I took him up on a double ligero. He thanked us and we were on our way.The smoke room of the store was the main part of the store itself and boasted four or five seats, three of which were some very large, comfortable looking leather seats. They had a television, some magazines and the regular fare. I noticed some old cigar presses and other neat little tid-bits of decoration. I tend to opt out of smoking in store as a matter of habit, but even though the smoking area looked inviting, and I AM certainly a dog person, I would worry that the dog could possibly distract some from enjoying a smoke there.Ultimately I cant give them a five yet, as the dog did seem to be distracting, both by getting underfoot and providing me with a firm how-do-ya-do (a.k.a, a hearty muzzle to the backside) while I waited for my friend to pay, but I did like the store and would totally suggest them to a friend. I think after I get a better feel for the place, it could be a five but certainly no lower than a four at my brief first glance.

Just visited this store and while the selection was more than adequate I felt like I was unwelcome from the time I opened the door. The proprietor was watching TV with a customer I presume. I had to walk past them to get to the humidor and I was not even greeted or even acknowledged. He did ask if I needed help in the humidor. When I checked out I am quite sure I was not even thanked.Additionally, I purchased an Oliva priced at $6.25 but was overcharged by $1.00.

Walked into Macks today for the first time and LAST!! When I walked in everyone looked at me like I just cused out the mother or something. the guy behind the counter didnt even say hi, how can i help you or kiss my a$$. Went into the humidor which i must say is kept nice. he does take care of his cigars but they are on the high side. I was finally confronted (yes I said confronted by the owner) he came into the humidor and basically down talked me and said quit touching his cigars and asked if that was all I was there for. I did buy a cigar because I have not been able to find it anywhere else. All i can say is stay away. Not a pleasent experience and not sure how he stays in business with that attitude. spend your money elsewhere.
