Delightful art center, and it is absolutely free. Many items are for sale, and the childrens section is amazing πŸ‘. Well done and something that the community should be proud of. They offer many different kinds of art classes as well. We enjoyed the visit, they even have a small cafe πŸ˜€. Its not huge, but worth the visit.

Very disappointed. We were visiting Dunedin as we are from out of state. Our daughter loves science and art museums and was excited to see this museum. Turns out that you must be a member to see the childrens museum and at that the childrens section was only open from 3-4pm.

They need to have 2 judges or more per show. Plus if you have themed show you need to pick winners that that actually fit the show. Ive been doing shows for 40 years having 1 judge means they just get to pick what they like not what is great.

Love the programs but it can be confusing to find the right door sometimes. On my first day of pottery I went in the front door and walked in on a wedding I asked an employee at the front desk if pottery started today and if so where and I was told that it wasnt today. I went back to my car and on my way out saw some people entering through a back door i asked them and they said this was the entrance to the pottery.

I have been a student and am also an instructor at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. In both cases, I cant praise DFAC and its staff enough. The quality of art education that you receive is unparalleled. The facility is amazing and has now expanded to a second floor. If you want to see beautiful art, or learn a discipline in art, you dont need to look further than the Dunedin Fine Art Center.

The beginners ceramic throwing class is horrible! Do not take this peice of πŸ’© course. The instructor does not teach you anything but want to chat with people. No introduction or tour where supplies were kept, no instruction, no nothing! You are left on your own to figure it out for yourself. The room is a safety hazard! I wanted to take a course to have a creative outlet in another art discipline and just left the class more frustrated asking strangers what to do next! Believe me, i am a graduate of fine arts and this is truly the most dissappointing course ever!

This museum has, according to my kids and I agree, an epic childrens engagement center with art supplies, iPads, building blocks, and a performance space. The exhibits were so impressive as well, especially the sculputures. Ive rarely wanted to purchase fine art before, but some of them moved me and I could see why people do. A pretty nice gift shop too, and fries dly staff. We will come again when next in the area.

Im now a snowbird and have never been artistic or joined anything. I came to Dunedin to recover from a severe heart issue. My Aunt dragged me over to DFAC to get me out doing something. From the very first person there I spoke with I have had nothing but positive interactions.I am from the Adirondack Mountains of NYS and have lived in the woods my whole life. I run a campground and do all the work to maintain it.My aunt knew I collected knives and made handles. She saw they had a bladesmith class and I stepped out if my safety zone and agreed to sign up.The bladesmith Ken Straight is amazing! He saw my passion for knives and went the extra mile for me. Ive since made two knives with him. Best expirence of my life! I also have met Bill Coleman from the metal arts shop. He to is an amazing man with a passion for metal. He exudes great passion for what he teaches and does there. These people all are remarkable to work with. Ill be back! I highly recommend them all!
