Great place to buy a car, the worst after purchase service Ive ever seen. I bought a vehicle here in 2017. It turned out to be a lemon. Not their fault, but I had it in their shop several times. Included in the extended warranty plan was a loaner car. They never gave me one comparable to what I bought, if they even gave me one. I had several other issues with their work. I traded that vehicle in this year. The extended warranty I bought did not run its course, so in August I requested a refund, they said no problem. It would be a few weeks. That was in july, its mid October now. Since SALES MANAGER said wait a few weeks, I waited a month to call. Ive left messages both with the receptionist and the sales manager himself and they wont return my calls. They are quick to take your money, but you wont get it back if they owe you. I dont know if they sent it to the wrong address or if they ever sent it at all and they are not willing to even check.
Why would anyone drive 3.5hrs to buy a car when there are 3 dealerships 40 minutes or less away?? Customer Service & a great price.Dean Schmidt the Internet Manager did a great job of getting us all the information we needed to find the car we wanted. He was able to find the exact car the wife wanted before it was even delivered to store.Subaru “Hank” (Never got his last name) closed the deal for us. Had the car checked out & detailed before we arrived. Gave the wife plenty of his time helping her understand the ins & outs of the new car. He made the hand off very smooth. Horrible experience. So I have been doing business at Moreheart since 2008 and have a lot of good friends that work there. In 2020 my close friends and family purchased a total of 4 vechiles. One of these was a 2017 Chevy Silverado. Within a couple days the truck started having problems. Now 7 months later and 6-7 trips to the dealership and the truck constantly powering down they cannot seem to fix the problem. I spoke with the owner Greg and he offered me $44k back towards a different truck yet I paid over $50k 7months ago and it now books at over $52k. I have even had several buyout offers at $50 from other dealers. When presented with the issues and the proper evaluation of a price on the truck I was told that if I wanted more than his generous offer of $44k to take my business elsewhere. Everytime the truck has been into their shop they give me a different reason as to what I have done wrong in driving it and now they are accusing me of using Bad fuel. Yet my fuel comes from the same place there’s does yet they don’t have any fuel problems and neither do any of my 3 other diesel trucks. The owner has no care about taking care of his clientele. So sad I had enjoyed doing business with my friends there but if they won’t fix the problem and they sold me a lemon I would not recommend them to anyone.
Positive experience in regards to the service department. My Wife’s Yukon was taken in to the shop in a timely manner.When the parts were not available the Service team advised me that this was pretty common because of the COVID situation. Even with this small setback the service team still managed to knock out everything that they said.Service team kept in touch throughout the whole process.Professional service is what they aimed for and accomplished!!Thank you

Dodge Jeep RAM has only 2 Repair Techs on staff - Service Appts are almost a Month out. And thats after their policy of NOT servicing any CDJR vehicle over 10 years old. Not good...

This dealership excels at indifference and incompetence at even the highest levels of management. They will badger you to death during the sale but afterwords they will abandon you wholeheartedly. Any reasonable request will be ignored, denied or botched at your expense. Stay Away!!

I had a recall on my car fixed and a multi point inspection. They got me right in. They had all the necessary COVID precautions in play, so I felt safe. When my car was ready, all the services were explained to me and I was asked if I had any questions. Very satisfied with the work performed!

06.16.19 - Update on the below review. Ive revised my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Manager called after reading the review and agreed there was a miscommunication of sorts, and that they would honor the agreed upon pricing. All went smoothly after that, car was still available and the deal was completed efficiently.-------------------------------------Super disappointed. Negotiating on a used car. Internet pricing states specifically Price includes Dealer Handling of $379. After 2 weeks of back and forth negotiating agreed on a price + Tax/Title/License. When I went to pick up the car, they tried to tack on the included dealer handling fee. No mention of that in any of the negotiations.Killed the deal, dont appreciate backhanded tactics like this. If you send an email with the negotiated price + TTL, you dont try to sneak in the Dealer doc fee after the fact.Be aware when negotiating any pricing with this business, or better yet, look elsewhere.
The one positive thing I have to share is that when I went to pick up my car after being serviced the woman who helped me was friendly and kind. But all other steps in the process were frustrating. I called in to schedule an appointment and had to call three different times because the first two times I tried leaving a message unsuccessfully because a machine kept cutting me off. And that was after having to listen to 3 automated response machines to get to the right place. So finally when I was able to get through to a person, I scheduled an appointment... that was still 3 weeks out. Finally I take my car in, with reassurance that their shuttle service is available every 10 minutes because I had to get back to work. I had to wait there for an hour before the shuttle arrived. Not a happy customer.
Service department is a actual joke. A JEEP dealership that won’t work on a JEEP over 10 years old. I would stray far away from this place... they won’t back up their product... even if you are trying to spend money there! Go down the road to Durango Motor Company, they will won’t ok ANY vehicle, even if they didn’t sale it!
I love this place. Wonderful people, very good service. But Minimum wage? Seriously? These arent mimimum wage jobs... These are specially trained technicians. A multi million dollar company should have evey single employee thriving, not struggling to make ends meet.

This was the easiest and most satisfactory vehicle purchase I have ever made. I would rate it 6 stars if possible.I was interested in buying a 2020 Subaru Forester with a specific color (red) and trim (Tourister), but there were none available in New Mexico (I live in Albuquerque.) From research online I knew there was one in transit to Morehart Murphy. I called and spoke with Aaron Arnold and told him of my interest in the car. Immediately Aaron started my car buying process by taking down my trade-in vehicle mileage and VIN and he then called me back within a couple hours with an out-the-door price for the new car which fit with my online research, and a generous offer for my trade-in. I accepted the deal over the phone and sent him photos of my driver license and proof of insurance card. Again, within a couple hours, Aaron emailed me all the details and financial numbers we had discussed so we could each have a written copy. I accepted the written version of the deal on the condition that the in-transit car would be available in a timely fashion, and that I could turn over my trade-in and take delivery of the new car at an agreed upon time and place roughly half way between Albuquerque and Durango. Within a day or so Aaron called and told me the location of the new car.....in a rail transport delivery yard in New Mexico....and gave me a date that it would be available for me to take delivery after dealer prep. We set up a time and a place for delivery in Cuba, NM and I was subsequently emailed copies of all the papers I would be signing upon delivery. Aarons communication via phone calls, text messages and emails was always swift and complete.I met the delivery person, Herman Tedeschi, at the agreed upon time and place, handed over my trade-in, signed all the papers for the new car and we each drove our separate ways.The entire process from my initial phone call to delivery was seamless, professional, efficient and courteous.Prior to contacting Morehart Murphy, I had contacted a New Mexico dealership and told them of my specific Forester color and trim interest. From my online research I told them that there were 6 cars on dealership lots in Colorado, Utah and Arizona plus the 1 in transit to Morehart Murphy, all of which met my purchase criteria. I asked the New Mexico dealer to contact the other dealerships to see if one of the vehicles could be transferred to New Mexico for a sale through the New Mexico dealer.In spite of the fact that this was obviously going to be a slam dunk sale, I never got a call back from the New Mexico dealer.To reiterate my opening statement above, this was the easiest and most pleasurable car-buying experience I have ever had. Aaron, if you read this and we ever meet in person, the first beer is on me.

We are from out of state and our diesel truck decided to light up the engine light. Took it to this service center without even calling. They checked it out right away and diagnosed the problem. Nothing that needed immediate attention but they cleared the code and stated they could repair it on Monday but we were leaving before that time. They didn’t even charge us for their time or effort. We really appreciate them taking the time to help us without notice!
I had fault codes appear on my truck. While about 200 miles from home. They were the first that was able to squeeze me in to check them. Very professional & courteous.
First: took my truck in for glow plug replacement. Called three times throughout the day to see if anything had been done with my truck and finally 8 hours later, got a call back that they had done a diagnostic exam and found that I needed my glow plugs replaced when that was what I had told them when I got there. I asked them to pull up my history in their database as I had done one bay and not the other the year prior and they told me they didn’t have a database (which I later found to be untrue) and tried to tell me I needed them all replaced. So they told me they didn’t have the parts and I picked up my truck. They charged me a diagnostic fee when I never asked them to do a diagnostic, as I knew what was wrong. When I had them do the $300+ of work to replace glow plugs, my diagnostic fee was not credited.Second: I took my truck to my mechanic for a service light on. Diagnostic came back EGT sensor was bad. My mechanic went onto Chevy’s website to find that there was an EGT recall on my truck’s model and year. I went to Morehart and brought the paperwork with me that my mechanic printed online. They told me that although it was outlined including MY VEHICLE, that my VIN was not a part of the recall even though an obvious issue with THAT part was identified and mine happened to be bad... they smugly told me “well trucks wear out and parts break.” I let them know that I would not be coming back and they seemed happy to see me go. I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership and am in the market for another and will never ever buy a vehicle from them again. I want to warn everyone to not go here either!!! They don’t stand behind anything they do!!!!
Brought truck to this dealer because engine light came on. Told to return at 12 noon at 430 the tech looked at said it would be morning before they could fix. Put us in a dirty (dirty) return vehicle and our 1 ton would be done the next day. Called us at 1 pm the next day. When we picked up our vehicle it had 1 inch of mud down passenger side and under body. Argued with us that it was kept on pavement during the service drive 3 times. They are washing. And still are adamant they only drove on pavement. $1000 later. Service is lacking by far. Beware. If you want your vehicle done right read your service invoice before you pay.
Friendly professional staff. The complex has a shuttle service so you dont have to be stuck at the dealership for long service times.

Having had a good experience with them, I returned years later to try again.The first purchase was a subaru, and the salesman {Aaron} was quite good at making one feel at ease, I have PTSD, and react to pressure in an odd way, That was a 5 star experience. now i decided on a chevy, there I found the salesman hurrying me, at the end of the transaction was shuffled into the finance room having no idea of what my monthly would be, I nearly fled the scene. He was a nice gentlemen, well mannered, knew his job well, yet......felt like typical experience at a car lot. The internet salesman was really kind, we chatted and his personality set one at ease, I found the others I encountered to be professional, and helpful, my only complaint was I felt rushed,I was hoping that my 2nd experience would mimic the first, where the salesman asked me, you wanna look at some numbers, to see if it works for you? rather than finding myself in the signing room with no idea of interest rate or monthly payments, as I mentioned I am sure my combat PTSD influenced my feelings of being rushed,,, anyway both vehicles I have purchased from them were top notch. A good outfit overall, honest and great inventory

We have nothing but good things to say about this dealership. We purchased our Jeep Rubicon complete with AEV package from Morehart Murphy in August 2017. This winter (Oct-April 2019) while riding out in the Yuma desert, it seemed the transfer case was slipping so we took it to the Yuma Jeep dealer. The mechanics thought it was an AEV issue but were having trouble getting a return call from AEV, thus holding our Jeep hostage. We called both our salesman (Chuck Wytias) and the service department at Morehart Murphy (which prompted General Manager Greg Rowland to contact us), asking them to please help us with getting a response from AEV. Both Chuck and Greg quickly contacted AEV, who in turn got in touch with the Yuma Jeep dealership and the issue was fixed. This was superior service for a customer (us) who doesnt even live in Durango, let alone Colorado. When we are in the position to purchase another vehicle, we will find our way back to Morehart Murphy.
