Donald was completely transparent about the origin of the car, the condition of the car, and what to expect in the sales process. Being out of town buyers, Donald graciously met us at the airport and even assisted us after hours as our plane was late! The car was very clean, was already set up under our name in the manufacturers system, and was already set to navigate us home...all before we arrived! Absolutely Lives Up to the Reviews!We are new residents of Durango, and thinking about buying a used car in a new place during this crazy time for used vehicles was pretty scary. BUT working with Donald Schoonover at Precision Imports was amazing—virtually stress and pressure free, and actually enjoyable! Of course, we read the consumer reviews, and these were confirmed independently by two acquaintances who have purchased vehicles through Precision. Our own experience was also 5 Star. We test drove the vehicle twice. We never dealt with anyone but Donald who answered all our questions and didn’t even blink when we said we wanted to have the vehicle checked out by an independent garage. The few recommendations that the garage came up with, Precision’s amazing mechanic followed up on free of charge. When we were totally satisfied with the vehicle, Donald arranged financing that same day and called us to tell us we were approved. The next day we picked up our sparkling, brand new (to us) used 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

Couldnt have been a more seamless transaction. From the time I called, made an appointment, test drove, inspected and purchased the 4 runner to making sure I had the correct tools for the spare and inspecting it when the check engine light came on; Donald, Samantha and Ben were patient, straight forward, friendly and courteous. I do not usually buy from dealerships or leave many reviews, however Donald and Samantha made the process seamless and an overall great experience so the review is warranted. I called on the vehicle from out of state and when I arrived to make the purchase I was immediately greeted outside and handed the keys to take a test drive and inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was as advertised and the paperwork was ready to go. In less than an hour I drove off the lot with a turn key, nicely detailed vehicle at a reasonable price. I am 65 years old and a Durango Colorado native. The experience that I had with Precision Imports, Don and Ben was the greatest. I bought a 2006 Prius from Don in 2020 for $4500. This year the electric battery dashboard light came on requiring immediate attention.I took the car to the Toyota Prius dealership here in Durango and they quoted me an estimate of over $5000 for a new battery and labor.I returned to Precision Imports which I should have done to begin with.They replaced two parts involving the battery for $75. Thats right $75 dollars. The vehicle runs even better than when I bought it.I returned the next day to tell Don that his wife Samantha forgot to include labor on my invoice. He told me that they and the mechanic Ben chose not to charge me labor.This is customer service unheard of in Durango since I was a kid. I remember my dad and others experiencing this kind of service in the 1960s. The I will go out of my way to treat you right type of old fashioned small town service that brings people back.

My experience was excellent! After around a month of trying (and failing) to purchase a truck I struck gold here. They are honest and good people, and I will definitely do business with them again if I get the chance.

After wrecking my beloved 4 runner, I was extremely upset that I had to purchase another vehicle. I had gone to most the main dealerships in town and it was evident most didnt actually service the vehicle and it was overpriced. When I came to Precision, I was already defeated with the process and I had my 5 year old with me. Dorman and his wife, did an amazing job of providing service and working with in my needs as a single mom, needing a reliable affordable car with a short time frame. We always buy used cars, but NEVER from a dealer. Just the thought of dealing with used car salesmen is enough to make my stomach turn. We found a Jeep online that was for sale at Precision Imports. Reluctantly we went in to take a look. Donald was the exact opposite of any other car salesmen we have dealt with. He was extremely polite and professional and very helpful. I was looking for a reliable and fair priced used car for quite a while. Durango, being so rural had limited options for me. On a whim I decided to walk into Precision Imports and met with Donald. He was very reasonable and honest, and I test drove a few cars. Donald was VERY patient as I went through the process of deciding which car I could afford as well as one that would suit my needs. I settled with a 2012 Nissan Rouge. All of my friends thought it was brand new! After my purchase Donald had his mechanic change all break pads, and helped me with a new set of tires. Patient, honest and a great experience.

They definitely talk a good game. I bought a 2012 chevy suburban from these idiots. I told them that I was going to use the vehicle to take my family on vacation. They said it would be absolutely ready for a road trip. Got the vehicle and noticed something wrong with the idle. They basically said it was bad gas. A couple days later I leave on a 3k plus mile road trip. And the vehicle breaks down. Sitting on the side of the road I call robin and she promises me that they will make it right. So I finally get my vehicle back 5 days later. Continue my trip and the vehicle breaks down again. Again she promises the world. Never came through. Thank god I had purchased and extended warranty and it covered most of my expenses but I was towing my rv and had to pay for the towing for it which cost me $355 and another $200 for unexpected hotel. And $150 in unexpected gas. They promised me they would help with these expenses but never came through. Dorman the owner is a cheap snake. Empty promises!!!! My family vacation was ruined. They put my 4 children in danger sitting on the side of the road twice. Both times in over 108°temperatures and semi trucks barreling past us... I could write all day long about this..

I have personally been lied to by the owner of this business about a miniscule issue. I would not trust these people as far as i can throw them and would absolutely take my business elsewhere.

I wish I could leave less then 1 star but wont allow... Regardless if you are considering buying from these cheap, lying, cheats! just read all the reviews here (something to be said about all negative). we bought 4unner from them for $8500 in cash, even though it listed for sale at 7500... long story but in short he had to raise price for all the work they say they did to it. Trust me when I say that was a bold face lie!!! we also had check engine light come on the same day we drove away, and the 4 wheel drive didnt work right of the bat! They took back and fixed 4wd (which is what I paid extra for to begin with by the way) and the reset the light! thats it just reset, it kicked back on in another 50 miles... again promised they would take care of that (its been 1 year and 2 months) still on! Then the breaks went out from the lines being rusted of, we brought to someone else since dorman has more then proved his incompetence, and of course our new guy finds numerous problems including a hole in frame!!! the say they will fix and again make it appear that they fixed it! one year later (check engine light still on) I bring to Toyota dealer to fix light and problem with gas tank (which dorman removed to fix frame) and find out from dealership that gas tank was put on last by two bolts only and being supported by skid plate, also has hole in top that has been there since the frame repair, which didnt cover hole in frame and has since rusted and cracked and separated from frame! dealership is saying I could be looking at $1000s to fix right and safely! all because the cheap piece of sh*& and little girlfriend there wanted to make a killing on a cash deal!!!! I would never in my le=ife recommend these people to anyone! if you buy from them, remember what you have read here, and you will have no one to blame but yourself and of course those pieces of trash!
