First time visiting this cute donut shop in lakemoor village in Eagle. Extremely friendly staff, customer service over the top. And all I can say about the donuts is WOW, just wow, these are the best donuts in town, fresh, large and very tasty. Flavor was spot on, rich, and just right. We are new to the area and have found our go to donut shop for life. Perfect for gift giving as well, cute packaging! Thank you GURU! See you again soon.
Such a fun space! The donuts here are the best in the valley....HANDS DOWN! The O.G. is the perfect mix of doughy, chewy, slightly sweet goodness and the Cinderella one they make in the fall with a touch of pumpkin puree is a master of flavors and textures too! Great place to visit for out-of-towners and kids, then head down the road to a walk or bike on the Greenbelt just up the road!
Went here for the first time out of curiosity. Best donuts I have ever had. Well worth trying.
First time I have stopped into this Guru location. Ive been a huge fan but have only been to their downtown location before. This place is well organized with lots of options for donuts, merch, and seating if you are wanting to dine in. The loft is a nice place to get out of the way from the walk-ins coming in-and-out. These donuts are always TOP NOTCH! I have only 2 donut shops in the valley (among the dozens) out there that I would buy from, and Guru is one of them! Do-nut waste your time with any other place!!
GF donuts are so fluffy and delicious! Staff was patient and service was quick and easy. Also got an almond milk latte and she nailed the steaming of the milk, too many places make them heavy. This was perfect.
I need to begin this review with a huge THANK YOU to our wondeful Yelp community manager Michelle for these fantastic donuts l, and what an honor it is to be named Reviewer of the Year!Okay so, earlier in the year I hit Guru (the DT location) hard in the gut. Each visit after the other was worst. And while I still can’t provide a 5 star review I can gladly say this experience wasn’t bad at all.Michelle was so sweet, and let me pick out which donuts I wanted. I love seasonal, limited edition items, so I chose Peppermint Hot Chocolate (raised ring topped with chocolate, crushed peppermint bits, and homemade marshmallows by Creekside Mallow Co), Eggnog Cheesecake (bismark covered in graham cracker crumbles, dusted nutmeg, house made cheesecake eggnog filling), and an old fashioned Boston Cream.Right off the bat, A+ for display. These donuts are so pretty! I have to give Guru praise for always excelling in beautiful presentation.I LOVE cream filled donuts so right away I ate the Eggnog Cheesecake. Guru’s Instagram states that it is “stuffed to the brim with filling,” however I find that misleading. There wasn’t much filling - the picture included is a couple bits in. I didn’t find any filling until halfway done. Nonetheless it was SO. EFFING. GOOD. If there is any donut I’d return to Guru for, this is it. As the for Peppermint Choc, I saved that one to accompany my morning coffee the next day. It stayed surprisingly fresh and tasted fantastic. I didn’t get to try the Boston Cream because while I was busy at a photo shoot with the limited edition guys, he was chowing it down. *glares at him with malicious intent burning inside*All around, I am so happy I can finally say I had a good experience with Boise’s most famous donut stop. I’m still dreaming about that Eggnog Cheesecake, might have to make a donut run soon...
We have had wonderful experiences with both Guru locations - prompt curbside service at this Eagle location and kind staff members. They are always helpful, as we have a lot of allergies to deal with. Its amazing to find a place where we feel confident letting our daughter, with nut and dairy allergies, eat. The donuts are great too - we have loved all of their variations on strawberry donuts, their old fashioned donuts are delicious, and we appreciate the vegan and gluten free options for other family members.
Visiting from Nashville and being a lover of donuts I had to come to Guru. The donut sandwich was amazing and what donuts I did have a bite of were also pretty outstanding. I think if a Guru were to pop up in the Nashville area it would do pretty well.
They have an extremely friendly staff, and the best donuts! Constantly switching up flavors which makes it fun and exciting to pop back in!
This place is OK. For $4 a donut, I expected it to be better. It tasted a day-old, the frosting was not good, and the cookie on top was dry. It was a huge donut, but I ended up throwing half of it away. The staff was nice enough but not overly friendly. It’s a cute place in a great location.
Okay. First off, lets talk about locations. Not only do they have one in the heart of Boise, but now they have a second location in Eagle, bringing donuts closer to everyone who loves them?! AND THEN you add in fun atmospheres with vibrant colors and a super sweet staff?! And to top it off you have AMAZING donuts in a vast array of flavors, for a large span of different dietary preferences?Long story short, if you havent had Guru Donuts youre sorely missing out. Truly a staple of the treasure valley community.
Best gluten free donuts I’ve ever had, and a great variety.
They have lots of donuts and milk! Good service! I still like bologna donut Kraze better
Guru offers a gluten free donut which is the only reason I stop at either Guru location. I stopped today at the eagle location and it was closed. According to their website and storefront sign, they should have been open. I called the number listed, no one answered. So in addition to the overpriced and average donuts, the have ....irregular hours.I would not recommend Guru Donuts.
They have gluten free donuts!!!! This is one of the few places I could find gluten free donuts and they’re amazing!
Cutest place ever and the gluten friendly options/avocado toast are to die for
OMG this place is delicious!! I do not usually eat donuts but these are AMAZING!! I had the Vegan Original Glazed donut and I ate it so quickly and quietly that it was gone before I knew it! My kids also loved it and we cannot wait to go back!!
Paid over $35 for a dozen donuts, most of them were ok. Some of them were gross. Not one was exceptional. Not worth the price. For that kind of money all of them should taste amazing or at least be better than a grocery store donut.
Excellent local family owned business. This is a place of community I wish that everyone had in their town. Attention to detail displayed throughout, with clean and friendly environment welcoming to all. I can’t say enough good things about the work ethic and dedication of the owners and their incredible staff. I save my cheat meal for these donuts every week because they are freaking delicious.
Tried several donuts... the regular, vegan and gluten free... all had the same terrible chemical taste. The donuts looked great but where inedible and we threw all of them away. Will not try again.
If you like spoiled milk in your coffee, burnt bread on your 7 dollar breakfast sandwich, smashed donuts in a box that didnt fit them and customer service without a mask, look no further!
Yum yum yum!!! I was so happy to have gluten free donuts. They were delicious. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
We’ve been to both locations in our quest to find the best donuts in the valley. While they do have super friendly staff and cool buildings, their donuts just didn’t cut it. I like that they look aesthetically pleasing and make everything from scratch, but I feel like they are way too dense, the “filled” ones were not filled very much, and they have an off flavor. The old fashioned was ok, but was the only one I was happy with out of the dozen we bought.
Delicious donuts now conveniently located in Eagle. Love the new space. Looking forward to many delicious donuts from these guys. And I love that they make GF donuts!! Thank you!!
Loved it! Hands down the best donut I have ever had. I had the Earl Gray and it was fantastic.
Love Guru! SO excited about GF options and the customer service is amazing. The owners are super friendly and welcoming and theyve created a warm and inviting place. The different flavors are so fun and love how there are no preservatives and so much variety! So glad they opened in Eagle!
Great selection, fun choices. Maybe we got a bad batch, but every donut had an odd metallic taste. We will try the Boise site. Hope this was a fluke!
This is the coolest donut shop even if you are not a donut fan This Place is awesome and they will probably change how you feel about donuts
Yummy! We tried two specialty donuts and shared. They were both great!
Dense, not proofed/glazed correctly and overall store bought toppings. You can find a much higher quality donut. Hopefully theyll improve down the road
The atmosphere is so wonderful, bright and cheerful! The donuts are amazing, as usual!Love the new location!I got a donut before they sold out! Very successful! Great job!
They are quick to get you your order. Fancy donuts at a fancy price.
Gluten free donuts! Great selection of special flavors.
Extremely limited selection, all donuts are shipped in from downtown so nothing is fresh, and the donuts they do have look like theyve been sitting around ina closet for hours. The downtown location is great. Theyre overpriced, but theyre a fun treat. The Eagle location is a huge disappointment.
Had an amazing customer service experience at Guru donuts. Thank you for your kindness and patience in a tricky situation. 11/10 highly recommend. And the donuts are DELICIOUS!
Delicious Chai! Kids love the donuts. Very friendly staff!
Inefficient and frustratingly slow service (perhaps understaffed for a Sunday morning, but no sense of urgency with a line out the door) with questionable sanitary practices (gloves keep you off of donuts, not the donuts off you). First time there, and I am not compelled to return. I wish them the best, and will very likely take my business elsewhere.
Donuts and avocado toast was great but there has to be a better way serve them for dine in. A better option would be on a plate so you can use a knife and fork. Too messy to handle out of a box.
Very slow service only 1 person besides me I. Walked out
Awesome donut shop with good gluten free options.
If I could live here i would. The donuts are so unique and made with the best and healthy ingredients!
Super cute spot, LOVE their branding! Staff is super friendly. Try the Apple fritter! If you want something that will rot your teeth out... then go to Krispy Kreme. This place is super healthy, don’t feel bloated after eating here. Gluten free, vegan for the WIN!
Gosh my family loved these donuts...friendly service and appreciate they use fresh and local ingredients - - these will be our go to treat!
If you are heading to work, they open late, after 7am. Donut shops usually catch early morning crowds, like 5 or 6am.
Donuts were tasty but way overpriced.
Too Sweet & too Expensive for me
Love the unique flavors... this is my new morning secret!
Overall bad experience. Got my order wrong and the donuts just werent good. They were lacking flavor and didnt seem fresh. Not what Im used to from the downtown location.
No masks. No business. Staff were wearing them but customers werent. I looked n the window and saw a guy coughing without a mask. Nope.
Super good
Was amazing!
Fun place
Love love love guru
Love everything!
Over priced
Yum!
