Roy has been a saving grace. He does a great job communicating with the customer, provides fair pricing and goes above and beyond making sure your taken care of.

I have had several bad experiences with dealers and other repair shops over the years adding in extra services that I don’t need and generally giving me large estimates on repairs. Roy is honest, friendly and does a great job in a timely manner. I highly recommend his services.

Brought my daughter’s car here because the Nissan dealer was not helpful or flexible at all. From the very beginning, Roy was very sympathetic to my frustration and offered advice on contacting corporate. Needless to say, I ended up bringing the car to Roy. Service was excellent. Kept us abreast every step of the way on the progress and offered a few cost saving coupons. I would definitely recommend this service station and specifically, Roy!!!

I came in to have a transmission flush done on my 07 Tundra and I also wanted to check on 2 codes that had put the truck on limp mode. Roy got to work and advised that the valve body be rebuild. While rebuilding he found 02 solenoids that were bad, fixed one replaced one. Truck was not feeling all that good, came back in with the same 02 codes and he advised I change the writing harness and the 1 solenoid he fixed because it was acting up. He also found my shaft support to be bad and wobbly. After replacing all these part the truck is driving better then new. I was almost at the point of putting in a new transmission. Roy advised me that there was nothing wrong with the transmission besides wiring issues. I appreciated his honesty and his willingness to work with me. I had great service and definitely recommend him for all your transmission needs.

Roy is fair and foe the most part friendly. Good warranty with services. The prices are not good or bad they are average.

HONEST!! Picked up the car about a week ago. So far so good. The owner Roy kept me informed and delivered the car as promised.I will post a follow up in about a month to let everyone know how it’s going.

Roy and his staff are a first class operation. Dropped off my car which needed a new transmission. He provided me 2 options for repair, and when I decided not to repair the vehicle he didnt charge me any fees. He also didnt mind me leaving the car in his lot for several days until I was ready to pick it up.

AWESOME SERVICE!! After I replaced my blown motor at some other shop. My transmission failed a month later, AUGHH!! I called Amoco of Eatontown for a quote, and spoke with Roy. I was happy with the quote he gave me. After they looked at my car, Roy called and said my left axle is cracked and I need a new drive shaft. Well, I didnt expect that butI rather it be done right the first time, so I approved the additional work.In about three days, Roy called and said the car is done and running great. Roy even corrected some motor installation issues, errors from the other shop. I was ecstatic!!I picked up my car and it is running perfectly. I went back two weeks later so they could check for any leaks etc.. and there are NO LEAKS!! I could not be happier with the service I received. They totally have my business in the future. Great Job guys!!!

The absolute best! Recently my Honda Accord was leaking a puddle of fluid and instead of going to my dealer for service I took a chance on AAMCO Transmission & Total Car Care in Shrewsbury and I am so glad I did. Mike kept me informed on the progress of my car, he was honest and very helpful. He took his time explaining the diagnostic process and the service performed on my car which was leaking transmission fluid.I truly felt like I took my car to a family member and not a new mechanic. I will definitely take my car back for future maintenance.

There are few automotive businesses that I would recommend but Roy and Mike at this shop run a first class shop. I came in with an intricate problem that was intermittent and had nothing to do with the transmission.They took their time and continued their efforts until the problem was totally fixed. I went in for just a simple oil and filter change. The staff was very flexible and courteous. All were very nice and professional and I had no trouble with my car afterward. The work was completely quickly and I left shortly afterward.

I had a very positive experience with this AAMCO ... Mike was very friendly and honest. I had bad news per my Honda dealer for my 2003 Accord and needed another opinion. Mike verified that the problem was indeed real, and that previous repairs made by Honda were legit. Unfortunately, the repair (although cheaper than Hondas quote) did not make sense given the car is about 13 years old. I was not charged for the diagnostics, and although I didnt go through with the repair, Mikes attitude was very professional and honest. I will return to this mechanic, as its great to find someone who treats customers so well..

I have been more than satisfied by the service that my car has received at AAMCO. Not only do I feel they do a great job at a reasonable price, but I have always received excellent customer service. I always recommend service at this location.

The staff at this location are the best by far. I had a car stuck in Richmond Va and went here to explain my circumstance. They contacted the local Aamco from Richmond, arranged free towing and get me a great deal on the transmission install. After the car was back in NJ i had some engine trouble and once again they came to my rescue. the trouble was a intermittent problem that could not readily be identified so they gave me a loaner and took the can back too many times to mention until they found the problem. They NEVER gave up and didnt charge anything unless it fixed the problem. I LOVE these guys! Would recommend over and over. I am now a customer for life! They even do my oil changes on all 4 of my cars.

Had Ford dealership tell me my trany fluid was too dark and needed to be changed price was steep. Took it to Shrewsbury Aamco and they were less expensive and the service was more thorough with a total flush of the system and new fluid. Post updated 9/24/18Service date June 27th and 28th Aug 4 times and 1 in Sep. 2018. I had to get my van fixed in a quick fashion I had no AC and my transmission was having some issues Patrick and Roy were the guys running the shop Ive changed my rating for them because after they so called fixed my ac issue and trans issue as of 9/24/2018 Im out over 6,000 with them on services I did not need including my overheating issues after they did my ac work. my trans is starting to slip after they regressed it my van is still not running right what so ever and when I took it to another shop Ive seen the box job they did as well. I feel used and betrayed. dont go to these guys.This is at the Eatontown location

My car wasn’t working correctly it would stall out when shifted to neutral and I thought it was the transmission that had problems with shifting as well when switching gears it would make noise then I brought it to Ammco and it was the motor that needed fixing and after getting my car back it works better then it ever did and is less noisy also doesn’t stall out, they can solve most problems that your car has that you didn’t know it did

Got my Subarus transmission rebuilt. They had it back within a week. Also, they accepted a payment after the original charge went through, so that my credit card was charged less.

Been trying to fix my transmission for over 6 months now... I’m almost out of warranty and my car has never even been fixed properly yet.... beware!

AAMCO Transmissions of Shrewsbury, NJ is No. 1 in customer service for me. Extensive repairs are costly, but Shrewsbury AAMCO gives me the best price and customer service I have ever experienced in the area - and I have no further follow-up issues.

It doesnt work and they charge very much and they dont change the feet and say they change them
