Normally I tend to avoid large chain car repair shops. Happened that I needed a tire repair and stopped in. The prices were not only very fair, Robert was an absolute pleasure to speak with and work with. Personality goes a long way and Rob had plenty of it. Friendly, polite and humorous is a great way to keep people coming back. Nice job Car-X.

I recently went there and had a CV axle shaft replaced. About 2 weeks later I still felt issues. So I called car x spoke with Larry. I gave Larry hell, but as a professional he understood my anger and stayed on the phone. He even went as far as telling me to bring my vehicle back he will give it a compete look over. And let me know my problems, make a list of what is most important to be fixed and go from there. I bought my car in feb 2020 1 month later i took it in for a oil change and overnite all my oil came out on my garage floor. i called Larry and took it back in the next day. the sevice guys put in the wrong plug and used sillicone to seal the plug. i watched the guy use his finger to put some type of grease on my pan i never thought he was using silicone. when it was time for another oil change i have been to several shops including another carx who has looked at the plug and i was told because of what carx did i now have a damaged oil pan and will need to have it replaced costing me over 200.00 to fix the problem. this shop damaged my vehicle and now they are acting as if they didnt do it. it has caused my warranty to not cover it. i have had this car less than a year and it was fine before this shop touched it. they cannot be trusted to do a simple oil change. i will never recommend to family, friend or co-worker to use this shop to fix any vehicle ever not even a bicycle.

Needed a wiper arm spot welded took it there he fixed it no problem he said, I wish i could remember his name, i just might have to go here for my auto needs, thanks a million.

The one on 42 in very unprofessional. Argued with customer with a appointment in front of other customers. Were not on time even with a n appointment. Wanted over an hour for a battery replacement. Fussed about resetting electric windows aftword. Finally went to Dixie hwy location and the Men working there were extremely nice and reset the window brite away.

Friendly and professional. They do top notch work and dont gouge you. Larry is a great manager there.

Our church bus started having brake issues on our way back from a mission trip. We had stopped at this exit and was referred to Car-X. Larry and his team worked is in, installed a new brake caliper and got us back on the road at a very reasonable price. Thank you guys so much for great service! Definitely a blessing.

HONEST... I dont know about honest my girlfriend told them she thought her right wheel bearing was bad and she also wanted an alignment... They said oh well we will check that before we will do an alignment. Then the guy at the front desk was saying how her tires were bad thats why the car was moving more to the left than the right... She went to her normal mechanic and he said there was no way they did an alignment on that car. That the front wheel bearing were so bad, and that my tires were fine they just needed to be rotated. They seem like they are being upfront up and honest but their not. I would take your car to a local mechanic that wont take your money. This place is a joke. The main supervisor pretty much said well shame on that guy that did that to you....Really that guy should be fired. But then again these types of places like to take advantage of people that dont know anything about cars. Good thing my girlfriend does, and she got a second opinion on someone she could trust. I wouldnt even trust these pigs to change my oil

Outstanding, Accepted a potential tow in for non starting car. Proper equipment for analysis of the problem. Quality service with good explanations and reasonable charges. Friendly. Usually can take car in within 1/2 hr.Clean with coffee provided. Nice sitting area.

I went in and said a bs thing that was wrong with my car. They said why yes, you DO need all these things done, and tried to charge me 700 dollars to change my breaks and rotors; that price included a 50+ discount. I went home and changed my own break pads for about 50 bucks. Did not need new rotors on both sides or anything.

The guys at Car X in Erlanger, KY are amazing! My friend and I were driving to South Carolina from Michigan last April and my truck decided it didn’t want to drive anymore. We got a hotel thanks to the Erlanger Police Department and were told that Car X is open on Saturdays and does great work! Since my truck broke down at midnight, I had to wait until they opened on Saturday morning to see if they could get me in. They were able to squeeze me in and I got there at about 8am. They told me I most likely wouldn’t get out of there until 3pm, but they got me out before noon and was en route to SC with my new wheel bearings! The guys were super helpful and super honest. I wish I had a Car X near me. Thanks for all of your hard work!

Went here to get my brakes completely done. Also my car was starting rough. They fixed my brakes ans they were great but couldnt figure out why it was starting rough.

Service has always been good, fast, honest. Employees are friendly, helpful, and tell you what really needs done on your car, and what should be done, but can be put off. I went there when EVERYTHING in my car was failing, and expected several hundred dollars of work (radiator leak, alternator issues, etc) ended up it was about $30 cause there was a bolt missing. If they ever wanted to cheat someone, they had ample opportunity. Definitely have trusted them with all my work since then. Not yet disappointed.

I came in asking for a certain tire in which I was told no discounts could be given then proceeded to try to sell me a tire o had already told him I already had on my car but didnt like. When I told him I could go to Sams club for my tires he told me that places like that dont sell the good grade tires. I went to Sams club and they said my tires are always specially ordered directly from the manufacturer and are quality. I ordered immediately.

WOW! GREAT SERVICE! I needed new rotors and breaks. I was going to use a coupon for my breaks and when I got there, I told them that I didnt have a lot of expendable money and they helped me lower my cost way way down!!! Now my 2007 Ford Focus drives like a new car and they went out of there way to drive me up to the bank. I was very impressed and will go back to them with my car in the future! These guys will take good care of you!

Very disappointed. Took our car to the dealer who told us we needed brake pads and rear rotors only and got a better estimate at Car-X. Took to Car-X only to have them triple the estimate saying that the front rotors also had to be replaced, and needed to flush the brake line and replace the battery. Took back to the dealer who replaced the pads and rear rotors only as originally told. They said front rotors were fine. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS.

An extremely pricy place and time consuming. I couldnt believe that changing 2 front break pads will cost me almost $450.I really got screwed !!! I gave priority visit to this store because it is near to my place and to encourage local businesses but that will be the first and the last visit specifically to this place and Car X in general...Period

I had a poor experience; I had a coupon for an oil change for $19.99 and most places will rotate your tires with an oil change but they charged me $40.00; they quoted me over $500.00 for just an oil change and front brakes with a $60.00 off coupon. Then to make things far worse they forgot to put my tire lock back in the glove box where they got it from so when I got out to Walton to get my brakes fixed for over $200 less I was not able to get the rims off to change the brakes without damaging the lug nuts or the bolts. That was on a Saturday, they are closed on Sundays and no one even called me on Monday. Tuesday, I had to go back out there to pick up my key and was not even given an apology until I noted that an apology was not even given. This was the manager!

My tire light indicated came on in my car. I needed air. Stopped at 3 different air pumps. First one needed 6 quarters which I only had 4(Shell on Commonwealth-Erlanger)Next one wont take my credit card. Must be broke(Speedway on Commonwealth-Erlanger). Last one would work right(Speedway-Dixie highway Erlanger). Finally pulled into Car X (Dixie Highway-Erlanger). They not only filled All My tires Right Away...but with no charge and a big smile. WAY TO GO CAR X..THANK YOI

$560 for drum brakes, had to return 4 times for just some back brakes! Now I’m still left with noisy grinding brakes. And the noise is on the opposite side that it was originally on. All Larry had to say about it was that they could try to fix my front brakes, when the noise very clearly comes from the back? Really don’t see a point in taking it there for a fifth time if they couldn’t fix it the first four. Going to try to get a refund for all my time wasted but judging by the way it’s been going for the past week, they’re not gonna make it easy for me. For anything more complicated than an oil change do not even bother going here. I’m still at square one after $560..... and now I have to go pay someone else even more since they’re still not fixed.

This place is great. Awesome service and they are honest!!! I bought tires at Midas and had to take it back 4 times as I had a vibration after they put them on. They then told me on my 3rd time that their tire machine was out of calibration. So I took it back again and they took all 4 tires off and rebalanced them. Still had the vibration. Midas then tells me that its the tie rods. I took it to CarX and asked them to take all 4 tires off and see if something is wrong with them and if they are balanced. Well all 4 tires were out of balance..Carx informed me that would make it vibrate. No tie rod problems. Now car has no vibration. Going to see if Midas will give me my money back that I paid Carx to fix their problem. Will NEVER go anywhere but Carx again.
