There was a very nice and helpful gentleman in the garden section (wish I would have written down hos name). I was on the hunt for smelly flowers & a replacement lavender. He was very patient with me & gave me some great tips and advice on plant care. I will definitely take pictures of my new plant progress and return to show him as he requested.

The self checkout option is so nice! Can get out in just seconds and if there is a blip, a helper is right there.I dont know if true of all HDs but a friend who works the Pt Loma store told me that not a Single worker was let go after self pay islands installed! So cool, corp ethical behavior.

The customer service here is alright but unfortunately this is the closest location to our new home during the pandemic. Theyve done a poor job of enforcing masks, staff wear theirs below their noses, many customers go mask free, even at the peak of the pandemic. It may simply be that this is east county but it demonstrates little care for the health and safety of those who shop there. Today, a staff member at the front door had a customer ask if he had to wear a mask and he said no and the gentleman walked right in. The mask mandate is still in effect. I am tired.

It is amazing that I can call home depot, be connected to a person and get an inventory check all under or around 5 minutes. Amazing. No other business, specially this big can do that. And they do it with ease. Getting help inside is also the same. At Lowes I cant get through to anyone or get help inside the store easily. Last time I call them so I dont have to waste time driving if they dont have the item I was looking, I was on hold for such a long time that I actually decided to drive there. They finally answered by the time I stepped into the store. Even then they couldnt help me find what I was looking for.

Its a Home Depot. You know what youre doing or getting yourself into if youre headed here. Staff is friendly and helpful most of the time, some are straight geniuses and can help you figure out how to build what you want to build. Otherwise, if you have no idea what you want or need, youll have to research before you go.

At least this Home Depot had the paint I needed. The one off of Fletcher Parkway allegedly had two cans. They had none. How can they post on the internet that they have stuff. Its an out-and-out lie. They dont display Matt saying please call the store to make sure we have it. So people be sure to call the store and make sure they have what they say they have.

One of the better Home Depots. We have purchased quite a few custom items from this store, kitchen cabinets and other window furnishings. Service is pretty good. Its a large store with good selection.

I took a Ridgid pneumatic nail gun to the tool rental as they are the repair shop for ridgid tools.1st the nail gun was less than 3 months old (quality??).2. The staff had no clue how to process a warranty repair.3. They were not concerned about the loss of productivity.4. I kept checking with the store in person and via phone for status... They could never provide a status. Kept telling me to give it a couple more days and check the website.5. Went in yesterday just 12 days since my last inquiry. To my amazement my tool was there. I happened to see the repair notes dated mid April. I asked the tool rental staff why I was never contacted. He said it must have just came in... What???? Dont know how to use your computer. I demanded and too the repair notes.6. Went to customer service to talk to the manager when she first saw the repair slip her first reaction was the notes were before the repairs were made that is why the date was 30 days ago. I pointed out that the context of the notes stated repaired... past tense.7. She then went to a computer and called up my repair order rather quickly. She stated that the tool desk had called me several times. She didnt seem to believe me when I told her that I never received any calls. I showed her my phone call history with no calls. One of the customer service people called me while standing there to validate my number and it rang and went to voicemail.8. I had called once and visited the store to get a status after the tool had been received.9. The manager asked why I didnt get a new tool... I had to say nobody offered enen though I said what do I do while I no longer have use of my tool... Tool desk did not care and didnt offer any remedy.10. The manager said she knew who called by the notes and would talk to them.11. At no point did anyone apologize or seemed concerned. Only half hearted attempt was when she said that she would have refunded my repair costs if the repair wasnt free to me.12. Do I believe this issue will be addressed??? Absolutely NO!!From a manager who deals with customer service this was unacceptable. Lies, lack of customer concern and incompetence. Hopefully other Home Depot locations treat their customers better.

This Home Depot needs to rethink thier parking lot situation. With the traffic coming from the east entrance its difficult to maneuver... On the other hand, their store always has exactly what you need and more, its only a matter of finding it. If you need help, do not expect any of the employees to ask you if you need help, take the initiative and speak up and they will offer the help you need. Thier restroom facilities are PRISTINE and they are very modernized, with alternative pulls for the doors to ensure clean hands stay clean as well as tall doors that make the stalls feel exclusive and secure.

El Cajon, CA store always busy as usual. I went to the flooring department and arranged for an in house measure for engineered wood flooring. I had all the required skus and the process was completed in 20 minutes. Measure set up for three days from now. I trust Home Depot to install the product correctly. My past experiences have been great!I deal with the same flooring representative each time I get a service or installed product. Her name is Geri, and she has over 15 years of experience at that Home Depot.She can answer my questions...I trust her!

This is a great man store staffed with plenty of females to ensure that the men knows they exist. The store is well stocked and brightly lit. Parking and store traffic during weekend is just as busy as any other mens toy stores. Expect long pay lines, parking a distance away from the doors and having to hunt down the employees during a weekend stop. Overall, this store holds the same quality and cleanliness as any other Home Depots.

Guy in paint was very helpful, he was bald with a beard I didnt catch his name. Lady working the checkout in the garden was so rude and shouting at everybody in line. Elderly couple in front of us were blocking like a foot of the 10 foot wide path but she was aggressively shouting at them and telling them to move back because they were blocking other people. Then proceeded to yell at the other 4 of us in line that theres a lot of traffic and we couldnt be blocking the path. Then she yelled at the same elderly couple when they tried to use self checkout because they didnt wait until they were called so she could clean it. Looked like a karen with her short hair. Would avoid checking out in the garden if shes there again, not worth the aggro

The El Cajon Home Depot had a customer service returns employee discriminate against me because I am unable to wear a mask. Then, this individual stood right next to me two times in the process of returning my items with another employee. Im fine with people discriminating against me when they have a high risk family member, but we should probably keep the political discrimination out of business.

Cassandra in returns was very helpful and friendly. She had to get help several times because I didnt have my receipts, I had purchased some of the items online and they were delivered to my home etc., She also had to call HD .com for the online returns as they didnt come up using the SKU. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

What a mad house! I put off going until a quarter to 9pm, to avoid the crowd. Nope! Lol place was packed... inventory or something. I couldnt find irrigation drippers. I asked an employee, who pointed me to irrigation. No DRIPPERS, but products to run drippers and sprinklers.I waited a few minutes for another employee, who pointed at irrigation, right in front of me. Please show me the drippers, because Im not seeing them. After a moment he takes me to the next aisle... DRIPPERS!!! LOL. I have no clue why these two locations in El Cajon and Santee are so chaotic. Id recommend Lowes, but I love how quiet it is.
