I came here to get my annual eye exam and Dr Grace Huang was very attentive and knowledgeable. She took her time to exam my eyes and address my concerns. The entire staff is very friendly and professional but I don’t like the way they schedule appointments. There was multiple people with appointments with the same doctor at the same time. I didn’t get called until 45 mins after my schedule appointment time, so be prepared to wait even if you have an appointment. The store is very well setup and clean though. The glasses shop is out front and doctors offices are in the back with a cafe off to the side. They have a decent variety of frames to choose from and don’t push you to buy like other shops. They are located in the heart of downtown so it’s hard to miss. Parking is hard to come by during prime hours but I was told to park in the ShopRite parking lot by the staff, which I’m not sure is safe.

Wasted a hour and a half waiting prior to getting seen for a 20 minute annual check up…Doctor communicated well and nothing unpleasant about the actual doctor but office is just hectic and a terrible experience.The staff at the office are having side conversations talking badly of other customersAsk you to state ssn info while everyone is listening even though they ask you to write it down on the form… all in all staff needs better professional training. If you are taking appointments honor appointment times. A couple minute wait is reasonable not over an hour…

Excellent everything! Love how professional and attentive the front desk personnel is. Also, the place was very welcoming and clean. The doctor was amazing! She explained me everything and was very knowledgeable. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family. Best vision check up ever!

Wasted our time here. We haven’t had the best experience from the start. The staff and doctors show absolutely no interest in their patients. My daughter is blind, and we have visited this doctor 4, maybe 5 times. Out of those visits, they’ve shined a light in her eyes, told us there is no hope, and left. Meanwhile, other doctors have noticed a severe change in her condition. Today, we came for a very important appointment at 12:30, which I had to call and say I would be 10 minutes late for since I come from an hour away, and there was slight traffic, which they said was perfectly fine, but to be there as soon as possible since I was her last appointment. I show up 11 minutes late from parking 5 minutes away, to find that they called me at 12:36 to tell me that the doctor had already left. This has been the final straw in showing us that the doctor had no interest in our daughter or her case. Wasted our time.

Very rude front desk staff I have ever seen anywhere. Also, it is very clear almost all positive reviews here are bought and fake (probably a few bucks per review). So dont take the positive reviews here for real

They are not doctors. They just want to do business taking advantage of patients with pain.I would never recommend to anyone.Had horrible eye infection and had to go there 4 times in one week seeing 3 different doctors. To see the doctors for 30 second, waiting at least 30 min in the crowded waiting room every time. One star for the staffs, doctors manner was rude and not professional.

Adria Burrows, M.D. worst and unprofessional doctor in whole my life. My Appointment was 7:30AM. Burrows never showed up until 9:15. She woke up late. Made all patients wait. Poor receptionists got blamed because of her. The worst part is it is not the first time being late. Very unprofessional behavior.

Dr. Ariola and her assistant are GREAT! They were very personable, compassionate, efficient and just had an overall great energy! Dr. Ariola explained everything to me in great detail, without me having to ask anything--she took the time to explain it all! It is VERY rare to find a doctor who you can feel--genuinely cares. The office is very busy but also VERY efficient, reception is attentive to EVERY patient & patients did not wait long--it ran smoothly, like a well oiled machine!

I like that its located in a busy strip and easy to get to. When I looked up the hours before I went there on Friday its stated Saturdays they would open at 8 which is right after I get off work at 7:30 am. When I went there at 8 I found out it doesnt open until 9am. I had to find out online. The hours are not posted on the building anywhere visible and has no phone number listed to call also. The gentleman who took care of me when I came in was professional and got me in and out in a few minutes. I would recommend this for someone if they needed it but I would have them make sure they have right hours of operation.

Extremely satisfied with the visit. The entire personnel is very professional, courteous, and respectful. Wait time wasn’t too long and the clinic itself is super clean and beautiful so I wouldn’t mind waiting there.

Very disrespectful of your time. I picked them only because they had an early appointment slot at 8:45. I called in advance to make sure it would actually be 8:45. They confirmed. We ended up waiting 40 min with the actual appointment time turned out to be 9:25

I waited 25 min for my scheduled appointment. When I asked the lady at front desk, she told me she was with a patient and can talk to me later. There was a family who came 1 hr 15 min late for their appointment and she confirmed them. If you have a busy schedule like I have, just skip this place to save your time. They just wasted my 1 hr for nothing. They never take the call even they want you to confirm your appointmen as well. Not all of the people wearing mask as well. Some of the employees were wearing their mask under their nose. Terrible place!!!!Go to Lenscrafters in Edgewater. They are always on time and polite people. Will never come here again. Waste of time!

Lets start by saying that my apt was at 7:30am and the doors were locked! I had to call the answering service to get front desk to finally answer the door! It seems like that girl didnt bother to turn on the lines to make her job easier than it already is. when I was paying for my copay I had asked her how long until the DR arrives. Her response was that she was already here so I thought that was great bc it meant there was not going to be a waiting time for my 2 year old to be assessed. After waiting 10-15 mins I started to wonder what was going on. She was telling the other pt who was asking about the wait where is the DR?! Her response to him was she came and left. Does that make any sense? NO. When the medical assistant decided to finally tell us the truth he said Dr Burrows was stuck in traffic at the bridge and was going to be an hr late!! How disrespectful and unprofessional is that DR to do that to her patients as if it doesnt matter to her to waste our time!! The front desk lady was just as unprofessional and rude doing where ever she wanted by even voiding my copay without asking me and being a LIAR!

Outstanding service throughout from the receptionist, to the techs and Dr. Ariola. They were all helpful and the lady at the contact fitting was especially patient and helpful. I specifically appreciate their state of art equipments that fosters better assessments. I recommend them to anyone needing any service they provide.

Awful staff. I had an appointment with Dr. Chechik on September 8th at 12:45pm. I call informing Ill be late 5 minutes. I was told ok. I get there, sign the book, and an oriental middle age woman at the front desk completely ignores me for 30 minutes, working on paperwork instead of taking care of patients. I finally ask when the doctor will see me and she said he wont see me because I was late 30 minutes. I didnt get to see the doctor because of the unprofessionalism, incompetence and lack of care of the staff. There are a lot of good doctors in Bergen county. Skip this one. A doctor is as good as his staff.

This place is beyond deplorable!!!!! I was on time for my sons pediatrics eye appointment and the receptionist had the nerve to say that it would be a long wait after I have been sitting in the office for 20mins saying that I was late. In fact I was 10 mins early. She said my appointment was for 1:40p and I showed her my confirmation text from them that my appointment was at 1:50p in fact. She then said that they are short staffed and this is why I would be seen late. I told her to look at the sign in form and that I was signed in before my appointment time. The Doctor then comes out and said that i would not be able to be seen because I was late and again I said that receptionist wasnt even at the desk when I came I was just told to sign in and have a seat. I am discussed with this place and their lack of professionalism that I traveled over an hour to come here just to be told that I was late when in fact I was not! The receptionist had such a horrible attitude and so did the doctor! I would not advise anyone to go to this place and so shocked that they are still in business based on how they carry themselves and the lies they tell! If I could give them a NO STARS I would because they are not even worth the one that I am force to have to leave!!!

I had an appointment, rescheduled and they said they would call back and never did. I called back myself to reschedule I was told to come at 9:45. I got there a little before 9:40 I signed in waited for about 20 minutes, then the receptionist calls me up, asks me for my insurance than says the doctor said we are too busy and to reschedule you because your appointment was for 9:25 nit 9:45 Most appointment times are in 15 or 30 minute increments 9:25 is an awkward time. Second, if it was the case that I misunderstood waiting 20 minutes to let me know is absurd. Clearly, it isn’t only the staff but the doctor, no one was apologetic or tried to accommodate me, just “sorry”.

When asking about my insurance, it was not disclosed they were tier 2. Yes, I should be more specific, but other places I have dealt with would tell you if they are not tier 1. The doctor checked my baby for no more than 5 minutes and told us she is fine. Asked her if we need to settle payments at the front desk, she said dont worry about it we can just go. Considering she only spent 5 minutes with us, her response give off the she is not going to bother charging us attitude. Now I am stuck with a bill for over a hundred dollars.

Always have a great experience with Melanie . Fun, energetic, and very knowledgeable! I have had her turn sunglasses into eyeglasses with no issues and always get complements from people do to the quality of work! Highly recommended! If you go ask for Mel you won’t be disappointed!

Front desk staff especially downstairs at both locations Englewood and clifton are really rude. They have no idea whats going on or how to talk to people. They made me wait for an hour for my allergy testing since she didnt know where it was supposed to take place. Later I asked around and got to know it was on the first floor. Complete waste of time. Have been to the clifton location as well for my eye. Same story. Always on their phone. Texting or watching videos on youtube and not caring about patients. Never visiting again. Atleast be polite and courteous.

Dr.Kevin Ende is a excellent doctor, he listens to you,he care and always put a smile on people face. Is hard to find a good doctor who listens to you. I been in his office and nothing but loving staff. This place is a complete joke. They have NO respect for their patients. I came in today and my appointment was at 5pm and I received a message to arrive 4:55pm and text “ARRIVED” when I get there. So I did, then waited 10mins with no reply, I called to see what happened and they tell me to go in, once in they tell me that the “doctor” has LEFT!!! Are you serious what kind of Doctor leaves when there’s a patient scheduled. Why because it’s friday?? Get your priorities straight. So for patients that want to be treated with respect because our time is also valuable do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Billing:You guys do a test that is not covered by insurance and insurance doesnt pay.Two things:1) get approval before test from insurance2) dont go after the client if insurance doesnt pay. This type of behavior makes clients run away. And you guys keep on sending bills.Hope policy will change !!

This was my first time using NJ eye and ear. I was greeted by Melanie and she was super helpful helping me pick out the perfect eyeglasses. She was patient with me and took all the time needed considering how picky I was. Everything was explained very thoroughly and couldnt have gone any smoother. I will definitely be going back. Dr Bush is good, she is knowledgeable and helpful. I wrote an unfavorable review a few weeks ago. But I must say that the staff really came through and was attentive to my concerns. They were very gracious and thoughtful. My husband and I are satisfied and happy with the outcome. Very thankful for Desiree and the store manager who went above and beyond.

Dr Borrows and Ray was very professional & they were able to answer all my questions. And they were able to get my son to feel safe and comfortable to perform the eye exam. Also the young lady who got us from the waiting Room performed the initial eye exam was amazing as well. The staff is helpful and very pleasant. Overall very good with kids and clean office.

Excellent experience and I will only go there moving forward. I was helped by Melanie at my optical appointment and I really appreciated her patients. She went through so many different glasses as I’m actually a very picky buyer. Usually in my past experience in other places I noticed the salespeople just want a sale and go onto the next sale. This is the absolutely the best place for eye care!From the caring staff to A+ physicians I was thoroughly tested and cared for. And once the exam was over I was personally lead to an optician (Tomas) whose expertise shone through. He not only helped me choose glasses that were correct for my facial features, he picked a shape and lens that was needed for my type of vision correction. Dr. Ende’s personal medical assistant and Dr. Ende himself were both fantastic! They explained everything to me, answered all my questions and at no time did I feel rushed or pushed into anything. Had an appointment with Dr. Orlofsky (Audiologist). He was very professional and explained very clearly what he was doing and gave me a clear diagnose.

I brought my 8 year old daughter to get her eyes checked after having a questionable eye exam with her pediatrician during a well visit. The technicians that work with Dr Burrows were truly the kindest, most patient and professional people Ive encountered in a long time. My daughter freaked out after getting one drop to dilate her eye. It took 20 minutes to calm her down to do the second eye. She had never used eye drops, and the sensation really made her hysterical to the point that my husband and I had to hold her down. Finally the mission was accomplished and they kept coming in to check on her prior to our meeting with the doctor. Dr. Burrows was also great - really helpful and answered all of our questions and concerns that many parents must convey since kids are on screens so much during Covid. We are so fortunate to have found this team for any future needs.

Dr. Bush performed cataract surgery on my 92 yo Mom. The surgery was painless, effortless and spectacularly effective. Mom is seeing better than ever. The service, attention and patient care extended to Mom at NJ Eye & Ear is superb. We strongly recommend Dr. Bush for all your ophthalmologist needs.

I chose this place because if the reviews I looked it. To my surprise I was sadly disappointed. First my appt was at 8:40am and wasn’t seen until almost 9:20am. Second, while my son was being seen by the young ladies who completed the preliminary exam, they did not let me assist my autistic son. I was not going to give him the answers but guide him. My son was then seen by Dr. Burrows who did not even ask him any questions and literally took 3 mins to see him and give me a prescription for him. She did not ask me questions nor did she communicate any interest in us. I will not be going to this facility again.

By 930. I received my RX for new glasses and I left.Overall a smooth visit and experience! Will definitely be coming back next year !

I take my mom here for her eye check up with Dr. Badami. She’s great! First we came with my grandmother for a second opinion and now all three of us go to her. We were lucky enough to have Raymond twice now for our quick evaluation before we see Dr. Badami. He’s very compassionate towards his patients. He takes his time with you and explains all of my mom’s concerns. I appreciate that he is bilingual— makes a world of a difference in our visits. For the most part, staff members are friendly.

Everyone was exceptional. I had a bad experience about a year or more with someone who answered the phone. Tried many times to get through about medication and never did get to doctor. Just rude. But everyone was very polite, especially Raymond. Her was personable and made me feel like old friend. He is the best, explained everything, answered all questons. Give him a RAISE. Its hard to find good workers. Dr. Huang, I believe that was her name was exceptional.
