I finally took three old cell phones in. Been recycling moving things Im longer need on. Cleaning out. Its feeling do good.
This is *the* place to get used computer parts or even whole systems in Eugene. The people are super helpful and they always have good deals. You can find most of what you need there for most reasonable computer-related needs.
Love this store. You can get any computer part for old or new computers. We’ve also bought iPhones from them over the years.
Amazing place for second hand electronics.
Great store. Excellent staff
I am grateful for a service like this. I was in need of a decent laptop for job searching and I found one here for cheap! They have sales now and again. They are very helpful when you have a questions. The only thing about this place I dont like is their schedule and unpredictable hours.
Wow! NextStep has come so far. Its exciting to see such a wonderful community resource thriving.
A great place to purchase used electronics, specifically computer monitors, projectors, televisions, and PC peripherals. They have a health-conscious policy of making appointments under covid, and once inside, the staff members are very friendly and knowledgeable. Good job NextStep!
My friend and I called on Friday April 30th and asked if they had any appointments available that day. We were told no but that they had a ton of open slots tomorrow (May 1st) we set an appointment and verify that it was to be the very next day. We arrive at our scheduled time today only to find out that the store isnt open on the weekends.
Great place to donate electronic goods. Real friendly workers.
Im new to town and so happy to find a used electronic and computer store that promotes recycling. Employees are nice and helpful and they are taking covid precautions very seriously. Very easy to make an appointment. Ive been there 3 times since the pandemic began and each time Ive been able to calll, make the appointment 15 minites from the time I call and drive right over.
Pretty expensive used computers. Cheaper TVs. Cheap add on cards.
The customer service is the best.
These folks are absolutely amazing. If I could give them 10 Stars I would. Due to the current climate with homeschooling and all. She was able to get my son into a computer that he could not only do his schoolwork, but also do gaming.
They gave me 2 M3-4 screws for free without an appointment. Very kind folks. Now I can mount my SSD.5/5 stars would bum machine screws again.
Super friendly, followed all the covid guidelines! Even had masks!
I wanted a digital camera for my daughter and they had a nice older one at a good price on
Great place for used electronics! Currently by appointment only.
I needed a power supply for a color scanner....I had accidentally donated the original to St. Vinnies....I walked in and literally within a minute I had the right one. Literally the first one picked up was the right model. Kudos to Brandon for his great customer service! The price was even better. Color me surprised and happy!
Great place, good deals and super friendly staff. Vets get 10% discount
Great deals on electronics of all sorts!
Always friendly and good prices
Great costumer service! I highly recommend this place if your in the market for good quality electronics at a great price. Super helpful staff.
The inventory is fabulous! I just bought a mouse for $2!
Next step is a great place to look for used, but working, electronics, cables, monitors, TVs, computer speakers etc.Prices are very reasonable.NextStep also offers computer repairs and recycling of electronics. Its also a great place to volunteer. The only downside is when busy it can take some time to get to the counter for your purchase (s). However with the prices its worth the wait.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
I just purchased a refurbished desktop PC from NextStep and it was a great experience. For $199 I got everything I needed plus the full Microsoft Office Suite, which would cost $199 on its own! My computer is rocking fast and perfect for my needs. The customer service was excellent when I was in there. Very friendly! This is a great organization all the way around. I plan to purchase all of my computers from them in the future.
This place is awesome. Nerd heaven!
I love this place, NOTE they moved, its on the **East** side of Garfield now in the same shopping center as Bobs Doughnuts. They have good deals on stuff you need if your tinkering around with old computers. They used to have a better selection of random commercial stuff but you can still pick up a commercial grade switch for 50 bucks.
I appreciate their mission to recycle/refurbish items that might have otherwise ended up in a landfill and helping out the low income community with job opportunities and technical skills but unless youre specifically looking for older tech, their prices are way too high and in some cases more expensive than buying the same item new, especially since all the items being sold were donated for free. At that rate, selling used items for 80 - 110% MSRP makes no sense. They can be very helpful when looking for older parts and equipment that is no longer available.
Booked an appointment and was helped within 10 minutes. I got the electronic parts that I needed and was aided by the friendly, knowledgeable staff.
I volunteered here for a day. The staff are all amazing and kind. It was very eye opening and actually quite a lot of fun. Cool place. Nice to see computers being recycled, not just thrown in a landfill.
Best place ever for used computer parts 👍
My family has recycled electronics with NextStep for several years and after a recent downsizing I had occasion to visit their recycle center and learned about their new resale store location in West Eugene. Excellent small location and (unfortunately for them) kind of easy to miss. They have a good assortment of computers, laptops and all the needed accessories. If they dont have something obscure, they can direct you to who will most likely have it. Most of all, they really treat you like a computer shop customer and not a thrift store. Thats a huge plus in my book. Keep up the good work!!
Got a great computer here, but now they are just up & gone with no forwarding address when my computer is still under warranty? Where did they go? I also loved the fact you could volunteer there & learn everything there was to learn about pcs! Again... where did they go?
Best computer recycling buying options! Has t.v.s, gaming systems, laptops, and they offer workshop classes for kids to volunteer and learn how to build computers. Afterwhich; they can earn a free computer for school etc. for completing the workshop. In addition they are supportive and advocate for persons with disabilities. They has particular experience with Autism awareness.
Review updated 4/12/18This place is one of the only stores in town where you can find bits and bobs to support the computing hobby. My interests steer towards vintage computing and I love being able to find the adapters and cables I need here reliably.aside from that this is also a great place to get a refurbished PC or Mac.
I volunteered there for almost 10 hours and it was pretty fun. Most of the staff there are nice and you can even get a 150$ credit towards anything at their reuse store if you volunteer for 60 hours or more. I worked in dismantling which was really interesting. I took apart stuff ranging from an old rotary phone to a Mac. Id recommend checking it out!
Edit: Came in today and even though they had just closed, they were nice enough to let me in and get a hard drive real quick. I come here whenever Im in the area!NextStep Recycling genuinely wants to help the community. Great selection of recycled parts and reassembled machines that are just as powerful as a name-brand machine. I bought a desktop computer from NextStep one year ago, and it has exceeded my expectations. Your best bet is to buy a desktop computer, and add new parts as you need it. Its time to stop paying $2000 or more for inferior products! Wait for seasonal sales.
Dont shop here, I dont want you buying up all the cool stuff before I get a look at it.
Great place to buy usee computers. They always work well. They also do a great job fixing computers.
Awesome company! They do a lot for the community and very good prices.
Wonderfully friendly people and great prices on some high level tech. Decent selection for mostly slightly older computers and some top of the line machines and televisions.
Good used electrical supplys
A great place to drop off your old electronics and know that they are either going to be reused or recycled properly and environmentally friendly.
Non profit my rear end! This place is fraudulent. I went to drop off some old computers and parts and they said You took all the good stuff, we cant make any money off this and DENIED ME the right to drop off my used electronics. Now they are going to end up in a dumpster? LIARS! Cheats and thieves
Friendly service and a clean well-organized store make the experience very pleasant, and the prices are excellent.
Great place to find cheap electronics, also good place to recycle all your old electronics.Ive read quite a few bad reviews of NextStep and one thing they all have in common, the poster seems to be a TROLL. I have volunteered at NextStep, both teardown and in the back working technology, everyone there is polite and respectful to customers. Now if you came in with a chip on your shoulder, and feeling like an Entitled Person, then maybe you got butt hurt when they didnt respond the way you expected. Oh well, too bad for you. If my disability didnt prevent me from working long hours, Id still be there building PCs and rocking out with great people.
In 2018 I turned in my laptop to be fixed. At the time they told me the guy that was supposed to fix was supposedly part-time. They told me it will be $90 to get it fixed and that theyd call me to tell me its ready. They gave me a ticket to give to them with my information to pick it up though I couldnt find it. It was more than 3 months and I turned it in during fall winter-spring comes around I still havent received a call so I call them and they tell me they didnt have it or couldnt find anything. It was honestly a bit upsetting so I know have to borrow my aunts or get one of my own.
Love 💘 it I just bought fast charger and cord for my phone for less than $5.00
Just wish is nor just by appointment.
I have found some very important pieces for my computer here on top of that they have a lot of electronics and theyre in very good condition. I believe its worth checking out
Awesome customer service
Amazing store got free stuff great serviceJust bought Mac book air pro and got it for almost 130 off plus free bag and charger!!!
Great shop with great prices
Not too bad of a place. They have tons of random odds and ends that come in handy. Be wary though. These guys will test your computer knowledge and feed you disinformation to make you spend more money.
Awesome place if youre looking for affordable electronics and no pressure sales!
Good place to find older computers and accessories but no more vintage items.
I liked this place. Some nice electronics and good prices
They have all the electronic parts you need at affordable costs. Also, they have great TVs at low costs too!
Its fun to work here. They sell good products for an excellent cause!
The computer i got was really cheap and really high quallity. The first one i got broke, so they returrned it with a new warrenty and it would have costed $100 extra had i bought it anywhere else.
If you are looking for set decoration for your late 90s to 2010 television show, then this is the place for you. If you are looking for functional technology, forget about it. When I called to ask for Mac book chargers they claimed to have an assortment... they have an assortment of pre-2012 chargers and claimed ‘Oh! You have the newer model!’. My 2015 computer in 2018 is not actually cutting edge technology.
If you dont care that they actually just throw 90% of what comes in straight into the general trash, and really only want to look like you give a damn about the environment. Then NextStep is your e-waste recycling soluting! And if you like being ripped off by arrogant jerks, and sold complete garbage computers that barely work and have supposedly been refurbished. Then NextStep is the store for you!And if you still do business with these people. Then um... I own a famous orange bridge in San Francisco, which Id like to sell you at a bargain.
I was treated very well there. I found a working remote for my new to meSony Trinatron semi-wide 32 screen for 1 dollar. Miscellaneous audio and video cables ran another 5 dollars. I was given good advice andshown how to programme the multi function remote. And they have a wide variety of electronic equipment and really neat and interesting stuff.
Terrible work ethic by their staff. Don’t work too hard guys. Volunteer or not, if you don’t want to be there, don’t be. Thankfully I have another recycle outlet that doesn’t require “warehouse” specific people to accept a donation. Good mission, terribly executed. I see why I have to haul so much junk out of the woods around here. 8/27/18
Small little shop of reused electrictrons like computers, TVs and laptops. Price is Right on a alot of things. I would definitely be stopping by here again
Big asset to the community and helpful staff! Thank you for accepting donations of electronics, computers, etc and not letting them go to landfills!
Kevin was very helpful and knowledgeable about the store. Helpful staff.
Bought 3 computers now from these guys and always an awesome deal. Knowledgable staff.
Get the cord you need for next to nothing and help recycle while youre at it!
Getting better but still only a shadow of themselves as the store use to be. They do offer a great service of recycling use electronics.
Had no idea where I could recycle my computer of over 20 yrs. He was very helpful..
A must see for geeks or anyone else in the market for reused computers, components, monitors, and other electronics. NextStep also accepts almost everything electronic for recycling, a great place to get rid of your old, dead electronic stuff.
I dont shop there, but I am definitely grateful that they exist because I recycle to the extreme and its nice having a place to take all my old electronics and make use of them. :D
Found a laptop within five minutes. 1/3 the prices of new
Good prices on electronics. Staff is very helpful.
I volunteered there in the summer! I had to disassemble old PC but there also were many other different kinds of labor to choose from. I gain priceless experience! If you get 60 hours of volunteering, you get a laptop or desktop! Their store also has a lot of useful things you can buy. For example I paid 5$ for a 640GB HDD 3.5 . This is a very good deal! There are a lot of other deals too, like PC parts, PCs, monitors, laptops (both Windows and MacOS), Apple products (iMac and MacBooks) and accessories for them! If you want to save some money, check out this store and maybe you will find something you needed for cheap!
Anything electric, working or not, donate to keep out the landfill, get a coupon, good toward all sorts of devices, refurbished, used or like new. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Good attention and price cheaper.
The owner was featured by Oprah and Toyota in a huge “The life that you Want” tour. She was recognized for enriching her own life and the lives of others after growing up with doctors and peers telling her she wouldn’t be able to do simple tasks.I was honored to see that she was from our community, supplying jobs for people who wanted them and recycling/up-cycling electronics and more. I’ve been taking broken laptops, and PCs to be repaired there ever since. The pc repair shop is fantastic. They are upfront, honest, knowledgeable and the least expensive place I know of.They have great deals on used Macs, PC’s, TV’s, electronic musical instruments and all kinds of electronic accessories. I encourage you to donate and purchase your electronics from Next Step
Theyve taken good care of my needs and if you are in the market for used electronic equipment check them out
Really good place to get computer parts!
Good selection of electronic equipment from laptops to stereos and everything in between. All at great prices and good customer service.
My friend Rick Tromel works with NextStep.Hes The Volunteer of the Year & a wonderful human.☺
Love this place! However just an FYI the times for when they are open are right on here but wrong on their website.
Good values on computers, really well organized components and cables. Prices are higher, but quality and convenience are much better that other thrift shops.
I volunteered here with my team from work. We tore down computers for 8 hours. It was very fun, we had a great time.
Awesome establishment, keeping electronic waste out of landfills and selling reusable items at affordable prices in their ReUse store.
Great prices on recycled computers and hardware. Very friendly personnel.
It’s in Yelp, tacky customer service, especially considering how I planned my day to get there. Tacky is the most polite thing I can say. Go somewhere else
Their new store is very well organized and stocked with high quality recycled computer(s)/parts.
Local non profit donates proceeds to local organizations. Check here first for electronics.
I am disable an they kicked me out of there store for no reason. But what they said is that I tell how to do there jobs. An then he told me that I will say that the prices are to low. But they never talked to me before this & asked me could not do this. Plus the tech person that I have come in to ask questions to then said please to do not bother me. He then said that he does not like anyone talking to him or asking him questions seeing that he has too much to do. In that case he should have other person helping him out or some one helping get parts. For the store. There laptops & tuners Flat screen TVs cost more than going into best buy, Target, Goodwill, Walmart, ECT list goes on. I said to them 3 different times seeing that at the time I liked the place that if you lower your prices a little bit that you would sell more items. But they do not care . So has of know anywhere I go, anyone that asks me about next step I will tell to go some where else. I do not think it is right main boss of the store tells me that well the store manager & the other employees she would be believes over a costumer. That tells me that one they do not care about disable & costumers - all they care about is money an free items for there store.
The staff has awesome attitudes and can be very helpful. Prices, (and discount days) are great.
They are serving a real need in our community with recycling electronics. We support them!
Awesome place! great deals! nice staff!
Good selection of equipment. They recycle all electronics so definitely take you unused electronics to them.
Great place to get used PC parts or help your kid build a pc, but make sure you accompany your kid, they will sell out of date graphics cards and motherboards that arent even set up for home PC, Im definitely experiencing buyers remorse from next step, probably wont ever go back
Great selection of cords and misc items. New spot doesnt have the steam punk items I uber enjoyed though :/ hopefully will be happy when theyre fully situated
