My daughter needed emissions done on her car, but is living in South Carolina. I found this location on-line with good reviews and sent her there, so she wouldn’t have to drive to the Atlanta area. When I scheduled the appointment the person I talked to was very polite and accommodating. After my daughter had the emissions done she sent me a note that they were very friendly at Butler Automotive (we had not talked about it beforehand). Thank you for treating my daughter with respect, as a parent I would feel comfortable sending her there again. Well done!!
Only months after getting warrantied work done (wheel bearings). Car had to be returned for exact same fix. After finally getting the call to pick up vehicle, I was told that I could not get a copy of a receipt because the technician did not create a work order because vehicle was fixed for free (should have been repaired right the first time). Leaving me with no proof of rework, so if the bearings were to go bad again it only shows the original date of install. Which could throw the parts out of the guarantee window
Im very happy with the work and pricing at Butler Automotive in Evans. Theyve been great to work with.
This place is a rip-off. I went for a car repair (car starts to shake when trying to accelerate) on March-1-21. They fixed the car and gave me a bill for $1660.46, which included the cost of a serpentine belt and labor cost (54.999+79.95) among other things. Within just over a month (Apr-6-21) I had the same problem again and had to tow the car. This time they said there was another problem with Alternator and gave a for $675.32. this included labor and serpentine belt and alternator. Interestingly, on the bill they hand out, they clearly mention that there is a warranty for 12 month or 12,000 on all repairs! When I asked about the warranty, I was told this is not covered!! Either it is incompetence in fixing the problem or just making you pay again for the same problem and ripping you off.
Only reason they even got 1 Star is because you Can’t post without it! Last February we had our truck towed there, No It’s Not Free for Towing!! We needed brakes and my husband told them to make necessary repairs. Well $1,000.00 later 2 weeks ago our Front Brakes Locked Up On Us and Blew the Front Tire! Thank God we weren’t on the highway! Called them after we had the tire changed and were told Only A One 1 Year Warranty!! Are You Kidding Me?? Nope! Called Tires For Less on Peach Orchard and Brandon told us to come in. Had to have rotors cut and 4 brakes.,.. Butler Never Replaced The BACK BRAKES! Front Brakes were carrying the Whole Truck! Lucky we Didn’t Get KILLED! Price was Way Lower than Butler and LIFETIME WARRANTY!! DON’ T GO TO BUTLER!! Go See BRANDON at TIRES FOR LESS at Peach Orchard!!!
Very helpful place and they where quick with there job
The only reason why I use them for my car needs is because Carmax recommended them. It was easy to get an appointment and I never had issues with the work they’ve done and I hope not. The only issue i have is that the staff is not people friendly to some. The prices are ridiculously expensive.
I like the peoples were kind, and courteous.
Great people. Kept their word for repairs and quotes. Did not try to upsell me like ATC did.
Professional, quick, and reasonable. Would recommend.
Did a good job with our vehicle.
Fast and reliable service.
Brought my 4Runner to Butler on Washington. I needed an alignment, but I also had a wobble that turned out to be warped rotors. The alignment they had to do in the shop but the rotors I could change at home. They told me what the problem I was having was without extra charge. The shop personnel were very friendly, and they were straight up with me. Definitely an honest shop from all my interaction. These guys will be my go to for my auto work for now on.
I was charged $510 for plugs, wires and cap. The problem is the inconsistencies, or the lack of uniformity of the facilities.I called and got a quote of $ 350 ( rough estimate) from another of their agencies. I chose the Washington Rd location. They removed the oil change sticker for no reason. They wanted to charge me for the diagnostic in addition to the extremely high charge for the wires.... Im investigating to see if my prices are the same as everyone elses.
Very expensive work for a 2 hr. Job. I think charging a customer 2x what a job is worth is not a good business practice. No explanation as to how it was fixed, how long it actually took and during times like these. 600+ for a simple timing adjustment. Very disappointed. Won’t be going back here.
I took my car here for an estimate for work in July 2020. Their quote included parts my car doesnt even have!! Plus, they did work without my consent and then gave me a bill when I went to pick it up. Get a second or third opinion.
Nothing but the best
My nephew came up from Florida to hunt. His jeep died. They had him up in going in a few days. Great staff.
On each occasion visited, they were efficient, courteous personnel on duty.. They offer reasonable prices for exceptional work. They are more than capable of working on most of the current models on the market. We have no complaints with Butler.
Stopped in on the way home to ask about a wheel alignment. Was told I could get in first thing in the morning. Returned in the morning and as promised was immediately helped. Estimate was that it would take about an hour and in 50 minutes the work was done. Data on before and after readings was provided. Price was very reasonable and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend! Great job, Butler Team and thanks very much! New tires and alignment make it feel like a new car!!!
My car stopped running while I was driving on the highway last week on my way to South Carolina. It was closing time for most shops in the area so I did not have the option of calling around but AAA recommended Butler and towed my car there. I called first thing the next morning to let them know what was going on. I told the man on the phone the 2 issues that I knew for a fact my car had and asked him to check these things as I was pretty sure it was one or the other. He told me there would be a diagnosis fee that was more than 100$ which seemed steep but since I was from out of town I didn’t feel I had much of a choice. They call back two days later and tell me that my timing belt was gone and wanted over a 1000$ dollars to repair it. I asked him how he came to this conclusion and if he had checked the things I asked about and he assured me he had. I knew for a fact that I may need a timing belt replacement in the near future but that it was not my timing belt that caused my car to turn off driving down the highway and if it had been my timing belt I would have needed a hell of a lot more work than what he was talking about as it would’ve torn my engine to pieces internally. He did not have any good explanation of how he came to the conclusion that it was my timing belt and had a huge attitude when I tried to get some information about what they had done to check it. That being said I took a chance on my gut feeling and went ahead and paid an arm and a leg to get my car towed back home to a mechanic that I trust and it took him 2 minutes to assure me that my timing belt was fine and had nothing to do with my car breaking down. Today I get the call that as I expected it was my distributor cap (which is a part that cost less than 30$ that I could’ve replaced myself on the side of the road). I’m not sure if they thought they could tell me some crazy diagnosis and that I would have to pay because I was from out of town or if it is just because I’m a young girl and they didn’t feel it was necessary to look into what I told them but I am disgusted by the customer service and whatever mechanic looked at my car. Once I told them I was going to have someone pick up my car and take it somewhere else the man reminded me that I owed him for the diagnosis but then I had my step father call them later and they quickly decided not to charge me for it (maybe out of fear of getting in trouble with AAA?). Either way I thank god I trusted my instincts because had I not I would’ve spent over 1000$ and my car still wouldn’t have started. I wouldn’t recommend these guys to anyone.
I’m not going to say they screwed me. I’m not going to say they didn’tI bought an alternator from Advance Auto. I got into the job and realized I was over my head with the car. Called a few places to get quotes and Butler beat the competition by $300. This was because they said they could use my part. Everywhere else said I had to use theirs. That night, they call and say the part isn’t putting out the correct volts but they’re seeing what is wrong. The next day Troy calls and says I can either swap the part or buy theirs. He says he got permission from the manager to cut the extra labor in half. I’m in Atlanta so a I say go ahead and put your part in it.Apparently they had put the whole car back together and it was another four hour job to access the alternator. Why? I’m not sure. I’m left thinking that they only accepted my part so they could low ball the quote and get me in the door.Maybe the new alternator was bad. What if I had bought their alternator from the start and it was bad? They would have had to do the same amount of work. Would I have been charged for another four hour job? If you’re going to accept outside parts, you should treat them as if they came from your garage.Like I said, I’m not saying they screwed me. I may have screwed myself by going to Advance Auto. I’m just recommending that whoever is reading this, spend the little extra upfront and go to Christian Brothers and have it done right the first time. Instead of saving $300, I spent over $400 more by the time it was all done than I would have going to Christian Brothers.
Awesome service, gave me a ride home this morning and gave me a great deal. They’ve acquired a new loyal customer.
Everything awesome 😎
Beware!!! So my wifes car overheats on her way to work last Friday. We called Butler and asked if they could work on it that day and if they had a preferred tow service, which they said yes to both. Hours later the tow service had yet to arrive. We called Butler back and they ensure us they could still get to the car. My wife had a schedule trip the next day so we needed the car back but instead of just calling another company we trusted Butler to their word. Well the tow truck finally arrived around 2pm, the day past and we got busy at work, 630pm came and Butler had never called us back and now they were closed. I called them Saturday all day and no answer, I called them Monday and no answer, so they took a 3 day weekend for Labor Day and didnt bother to tell us this on Friday... All other repair shops were open but our car just sat at Butler for 4 days. On Tuesday morning I finally spoke to them and they hadnt even looked at the car. Tuesday afternoon they determined it needed a water pump and it would be ready the next day. Well it wasnt. On Wednesday it still wasnt ready. Thursday morning still not ready but they said it would be that afternoon. At 345pm no one had called us and I called again and it was ready but NO ONE HAD CALLED US. So $900 dollars and 6 days later my wife finally gets her car back. This is the worst customer service ever. For a company to close for a 3 day holiday that their competitors were open during yet not tell us and lie stating they would work on the car that 1st day... And then 3 days to put a new water pump on. Last time I will ever take a car to Butler and I will make sure that EVERYONE is aware about this horrible experience.
Great professional service. Extremely courteous staff.
Very friendly and speedy service.
Prices were definitely premium judging by the bill I received and the research done on the internet. No issues with the work. Going to try other mechanics before I come back however.
Great service, fair prices.
Excellent service, my truck had engine light on, and was running rough and tried the dealership but they were too busy to take care of my problem, then I took it to Butler Automotive where they took care of all the issues on the first time, done right. Very honest people that will do their best to get your vehicle running in good order and not like a dealership where you need to call and wait a week for an appointment, when your car breakdown you dont plan around for a convenient time and place...it just happen., and you need a good honest mechanic to help you out and you can trust to get the job done. Will count on Butler Automotive from this point on, Thanks!
The mechanic stayed late to fix my sons Jeep. I really appreciate Butler going the extra mile.
From my first interaction with the Butler I was hooked. A little over a year ago we purchased a Kia that the engine gave out 2 months after the purchase. I took it to the nearest Kia dealer just to be told the cost to replace. I quickly declined and reached out to the Butler. Needless to say my Kia was up and running like new at a fraction of the cost. Now I have made an additonal purchase, a Honda Odyssey by way of private sale for my family to take to South Korea for our 2 year military stay. I had the seller drop the van off at Butler to give me the thumbs up or run away from the purchase. I got the thumbs up as the repairs where not to bad. Greg K. worked with me to get all the needed repairs. Everyone was very nice. The mechanic even came out to answer a few questions I had, he even popped the hood out front and took his time with me. Impressive!! As a women I didnt feel like I was being talked down to or not have a clue about my van. Butler Automotive has a customer for life. Thank you Evans, Georgia Butler!!
Friendly and quick service! Good experiences both with regular car matainance and repairs.
Love they always fit me in! Greg and his team rock
Well I am a employee here. So of course I would have nothing but great things to say but even if I was looking from a customer point of view, it is plan and simple to see that they are all about good work and satisfying the customer.
Excellent customer service. Military friendly
