This Group of People are the kindest helpful People.They were attentive, polite and most helpful Staff.We are Older Citizens and we walked out with smiles on our Faces. Great staff and amazing doctor. Great place for an eye exam and new glasses!=============January 2021 Update: I was referred to cataract surgery and after my left eye was operated in i needed the left lens removed from my glasses.My husband and i showed up unannounced at Visionworks and were absolutely delighted to work with Zoe Soto, eyewear specialist who was absolutely AWESOME! Someone else at the surgery center accidentally removed the wrong lens and tried to fix the mistake but the lens i still needed kept popping out of the frame. Zoe was amazingly patient and kind, replacing screws and get both pairs of glasses set up for me!That kindness and help alone is worthy a praise review, but no, she went even further and helped my husband who declared that his glasses were not fitting right. She asked a few questions, went behind he counter and made several adjustments to his glasses and now he is delighted.Thank you SO much Zoe, we wish you the best!!
So, I love vision works in Flagstaff.. They have a great selection of glasses. I went in without setting up an appointment. (2/01/21) I was helped that same day. The guy who helped me. Wasnt very helpful. I felt like I was being rushed into selecting both pairs. I didnt have a great experience than I usually had before. Was it because I didnt setup an appointment. Can I get that $50 reimbursed that was paid to Phillip.. I doubt that will happen. I just hope I have a better experience when I go and pick up my glasses, in 2 wks...
The staff couldnt be more friendly at this office. Theyre very helpful and kind. However, I had an extremely frustrating experience when this office shut down for COVID. I had gotten my prescription written about two weeks prior to them shutting their doors. The prescription was wrong and I was getting migraines all the time. Once I switched back to my old prescription, the headaches went away. I tried calling and calling and calling with nobody in corporate or this office able to help me get the prescription fixed since the office was closed. As soon as they reopen, I tried going in to get the issue resolved and was told that the 6 month grace period had passed to have them rebilled to my insurance even though they were closed for 4 months of that time. I basically have gone the entire year without being able to see properly. I would not recommend this office strictly due to my horrendous experience. Thats $350 Ill never see back in my pocket.
I have taken my family to Visionworks in the Flagstaff Mall for about 9 years. It originally stood out in a positive manner because they had an in-store lab that could get your glasses made within the same day (if they had the supplies). We were able to meet and interact with Jordan. She is polite, professional and always willing to help. We have dealt with Jordan for years and she has never let us down. Always helpful and always mindful of costs. My daughters and wife enjoyed interacting with her.Well we went recently (August 2020) to Visionworks and discovered that Visionworks was bought by VSP and they no longer operate the in-house lab. So the original reason (in-store lab) why Visionworks stood out is no longer there. We would need to wait for the glasses to be made and sent to the store, a little over 2.5 weeks for one pair and a little longer for the other pair. What made this last experience even less pleasing is that we had ordered a year supply of contacts for one of my kids and a month after the order, still no contacts and so I called and asked about the contacts. I was later informed that they were not ordered by the staff. An apology was given and they stated that it would take up to 10 days to get them in, but I would be contacted when they do. 10 Days later, since I did not receive a phone call I called and I was informed that the contacts were in.So we were finally done with this years glasses and contacts for the kids, but I think I am done with Visionworks. Again Jordan is Great, she is a Rock Star, but this experience has left me a desire to try another place next year.

Dr. German was incredibly kind! Je could tell I was nervous and made sure to explain the process to me to help put me at ease! The sales associates were incredibly helpful, namely Gissel and Zoe. They helped me pick out my new glasses and were great at helping me understand the different options I had for lenses etc. I felt like everyone there really cared about me and making sure the process was as smooth as possible !
The eye Dr. Was nice and polite, but after eight months, the glasses are really scratched, more so then the last pair I got, and I have the scratch resistance, on them, and it is getting harder to read with them.The glasses came in late, and my wifes glasses had to be returned, so the real glass, could be put in. These glasses are not worth the over two hundred dollars, we paid for them!
I love the atmosphere and the customer service. The receptionist at the eye exam corner is wonderful and very informative. The technician was very polite and helpful, and Dr. Orzell was very thorough during my exam. All the employees made sure I was taken care of, especially during this pandemic. I recommend anyone to Visionworks in Flagstaff for their glasses/contacts. Good job!
Great in person, but they dont answer the phone and you cant make an appt for anything other than vision exams online. (I need another sort of appt).Every time I call over the past weeks, Ive been on hold for a long long time and sometimes they never even answer.I like them as people, and my service was great when I was in store, but I dont know what to do when they dont answer their phones. This is especially important now with covid.Happy to change the rating but this seems to be the only way someone will call me
Outstanding doctors, staff, and service. I was not expecting the level of personal care, time, and attention that my doctor gave to answer all of my questions. Will definitely be going back to Dr. German for any and all future optometry needs.
Went in 2weeks ago got eye examination got 4 pair of glasses 3pair came in on time hear it is almost 2.5 week later still wating on 1 pair called on my pick up date was told they would be ready by end of day so I drove 2 hr to go pick up and got told they were not ready so wat a waste of a trip then they said no laterthen 2 days still wating I will never go to this store again you cant whate till 4:00 then except to get there before you close so ther is another day with out glasses
The office is short staffed and there is a longer wait time. But the quality of service and products are great! We save so much money for the two pairs of glasses for our entire family. I highly recommend.
Tewa, the Doctors assistant performing the initial eye exam, went above and beyond. She was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions with a smile. The supervisor working the front desk of the eye exam, however, made me feel like I was being upsold stuff I absolutely did not need. An eye exam should be about basic, straightforward care and costs, not a chance to make a commission.
They are really nice. The dr talked to me and my daughter. He also told me everything that was going on. I highly recommend them.
Drove an hour to town. Came in an hour early for a dentist appointment. Had no idea I needed an appointment for my few weeks old glasses adjustment. Said upon my arrival they’re booked solid. Website shows low volume on appointments right now. After having this as my eye doctor since I moved here 13 years ago. Was the final time I will set foot in the store. I understand the issues with the virus. I had the virus last winter. Disgusted!

Great place to get an eye exam for contacts and glasses! Staff there are very friendly. When it comes to being clean and sanitized, very great! Even though sometimes busy well worth it!
Going to independent eye doctors feel they focus too much with the fashion aspect (with glamorous prices). You can get $300 frames here too but there is also a wide selectons at reasonable prices. They also have the tools that the eye Drs need to do a good job. Im impressed with their setup.

The last eye doctor, I could have given him 5He was grumpy, but he listened to me and gave me the prescription( contacts) that works for me.My glasses a different story, I asked the lady at the optical department to please dont adjust my frames, then the first thing she did was warmed up the frame and make it warp, i cant wear them they put pressure in one spot and it hurts, i asked if she would place my glasses in a new frame and she just wrapped my glasses and handed them over.
We have been going to the Flagstaff branch of a VisionWorks for years because it is the only optometrist locally that accepts our vision insurance. That said, the manager at this store is fantastic and always bends over backwards to accommodate our schedules for our annual exams and works with our insurance. The new Optometrist is also very capable and much more thorough than the previous doctor at this store.
Even during Covid, they got me an appointment and did a great job with limited contact (masks, distancing, fewer people). The technology is very good - I recommend the retinal scans.
My glasses took too damn long to get to me
Ive been going there for many years with no complaints. Only this time i was given a new employee that ruined my visit by taking over an hour to complete 2 orders. Went in at 3:15 and didnt get out until after 5.
The doctor was kind and professional and very thorough. The staff on the glasses side was unbelievably friendly and cordial throughout. Every member was supportive and participated in the process which was nice because it created a very relaxed atmosphere. They seemed to know and remember many of the customers who came in and spoke to them like old friends or family, which was nice. My glasses were perfect and were ready in about an hour. I would definitely shop here again if I didn’t live in Phoenix.

Doctor was amazing! She listened to concerns re: my occupation and best options to suite my needs.Lady who checked me not that friendly, plus after exam, she gave doctor a hard time over using the copy machine, very unprofessional. Plus, I asked for exam scripts, more concerned about purchasing from them. Got home and realized scripts never given to me.
My doctor was very thorough. He obviously cared that I understood how the exam worked and he exceeded my expectations in every way. Honestly the best vision doc I have seen.

I got there I was a few minutes late. The Dr. was going to lunch in 10 minutes. We have ran a business here in Flagstaff for 35 years. During tax season we have appointments over lap. If someone come in late we don’t only give them the service we give others. We treat them I they are real people. Sometimes there are good reasons for being late. I have come here for my glasses for years but I won’t be back . You need better structure at front office. Give more than 5 minutes with the Dr.
Love love all the gals at this location. Dr is very knowledgeable and very helpful. Had a detached retina last year and spent extra time with me explaining and showing the after surgery images. Jordan is amazing, talk about a multitasker! The adorable young gal who checked us out was very thorough and explained the extra costs. I love this place. Never go anywhere else now.
The worst Visionworks I’ve ever been to. The lab is not open at consistent times and weird hours (10-4? people are at work!). I was quoted 1 hour to put in my lenses or at least “by the end of the day” (so you need anywhere between 1 to 5 hours to put in lenses)... I can’t be stuck at the mall all day. The people are nice, but the lab SUCKS.

If I could put no stars I would!!! Computer did not work correctly. Equipment was ole. And I’m not sure we got the correct prescription because it was fast and I kept saying I don’t see the letters correctly but he said just choose which is better WTH! Not issues the past several years using this place but now it’s just getting old. Was told to come and get my new glasses checked because I can see correctly with them. Store is disorganized very badly!! No sign in sheet to say who was here first. People are just waiting anywhere and staff are telling then thet are next when in fact they are like number 6 or 10. Will never come here again for my exams or glasses..

I had an appointment last night for an annual exam and contact lenses. The office manager, Peggy, was extremely patient and kind with me, even though I was the last customer of their day and was struggling with taking in/out contacts for the very first time. I cant express how much I appreciate somebody taking their time with me and not making me feel rushed or getting frustrated that I didnt get the hang of the contacts right away. I also saw the new eye doctor, Thomas Gall, for the first time, and had the same positive experience with him. I would recommend this location highly for their great customer oriented attitudes!
I made an appointment with JCPENNEY optical in the same mall as Visionworks. When I arrived for my appointment, I learned there is no doctor on site and I was in need of a replacement pair of glasses immediately.I quickly ran over to Visionworks. The woman got me in for an eye exam probably within 10 minutes of my arrival and I was out of the store in an hour and 10 minutes. I had my new glasses an hour later.The professionalism and kindness of everyone in the store is exceptional. I highly recommend this store.

I bought glasses from you about a year ago had my eyes checked then too. I just got my eyes checked and bought 2 more pairs of glasses again a few weeks ago. I also had the new script put in 2 frames i got last year from you. Absolutely love my glasses, love the service, and i love the prices. So thank you. I give Visionworks two stars actually, but I give Jordan the max.There were several issues with my glasses that came in, (unbelievably so) but Jordan managed the process and really gave A plus effort to help and to stay abreast on the situation. She genuinely cares and it shows.She is very professional and they are quite lucky to have her.
I called ahead before driving 160 miles round trip and was quoted 30.00 for the protection insurance but when I got there I was told it was 60.00 because I have progressive lenses. I wanted to pay partly with cash and put the rest on my debit card. The young female technician didn’t know that the cash had to be put in first and had to start all over. The second time she entered 80.00 in cash when it should have been 50.00 and again had to start all over. By this time she was visibly flustered and when she finally entered all the details correctly she was surly and didn’t even thank me for my business. She would have been 30.00 short if I hadn’t pointed out her mistake. A simple ‘Thank you for your patience and sorry for the confusion’ would have been a gracious way to end the session. Instead she was unfriendly and I found her behavior very unprofessional.

It seems as though Visionworks (Flagstaff) is never on schedule! I left a time sensitive project I was working on in order to make it to my follow-up appointment on time and found that once again they were behind schedule. Im not talking about a few minutes, Im talking a minimum of 20 minutes which would in reality have turned into 35 or more. I told the lady at the desk (who was very nice and very apologetic by the way) that I could not wait..again. I had to get back to what I had been working on and wasted over an hour out of my day. They are always over booked and behind schedule.The prescription in my right eye trial contact lens is not correct and I would have had to go back yet again to try and get it corrected. I decided to cut my losses and go somewhere else, but found they would not reverse the charges even though the prescription was wrong. I would have to go back, and Im sure wait again, in order to get it corrected.On my bill there was an extra $69.00 charge for multifocal eval. Nobody had bothered to mention that there was an additional charge for the type of contacts I asked for; I thought it was going to be the normal $70.00 charge. So bottom line is Im out $103.65 after insurance for contacts I cant use.
Had a appointment on Saturday at the Flagstaff branch in the mall. Drove 2 hours from where Im located in Page, Az. Showed up 5 minutes before my appointment, which was 9:00am. So I went to the bathroom on the other side of the mall. Came back 6 minutes after 9:00am which I was then told I was late and my appointment would have to be rescheduled to 11:00am. I was fine with that but frustrated. Did the eye exam and got glasses picked out. All was going well no complaints, price was decent with insurance. I then asked that the pair of glasses be shipped to where I live in Page. A couple of days go by and the glasses where shipped through UPS. Visonworks never gave me a tracking number for UPS. I called two days after my expected arrival date. Nothing so I call them to get a shipping number but then was informed that there was no shipping number on hand. I waited another couple of days and still nothing. Called them once again and was told by a manager I believe, she said she would call me back in 5 minutes. She never got back to me that night. So now I call back this morning and was told the same thing. No tracking number on file and the guy told me to hold for 10 minutes. It was about 8 minutes in when the call got dropped. I then proceeded to call again. The lady told me the guy I was talking to was by himself and was very busy so he couldnt get back to me. She then puts the weight of the problem onto UPS and where I live. She advises me to wait till tomorrow. If nothing tomorrow which is Friday, then wait till Monday. This will be the last time I ever go to Visonworks again. This companys lack of training towards employeees customers service and proper procedures towards shipping glasses out of town is horrible. Please people if you dont want you time and money wasted DO NOT GO TO VISONWORKS.
I just had a great experience at Visionworks and figured I would write a quick review about my experience. Right from the beginning the saleswoman Jordan was informative, attentive and honest about costs and the quality of the different options. I never felt like she was trying to up sell me just to make an extra buck. Great service and a great product.
Very friendly and professional staff. The Optometrist even set me up with an Optomologist to get my eyes thoroughly examined. I highly recommend this office.

Staff knows how to make money off insurance benefits.. Took all my benefits and still added more out of pocket charges... . Bit over priced... Im still waiting for my glasses... Been over a month now.. Ill go else where next time

I came in for an eye exam after having headaches and blurred vision. The Doctor was professional quick and gave me excellent answers for all of the questions I had. After the exam he told me I need glasses. This is the first time in my life I have ever had to wear glasses so I had a lot of questions. The folks there were extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns about lense types, coatings and frames. Overall, a great experience and I will be returning to visionworks in the future for my optical needs.
They were very fast to get me back in to see the doctor. He took his time with me. Getting help picking out my frames and putting my cold glasses package together was very quick.
I first called to make an eye appointment and the man who answered was very rude. He did not seem excited about his job or interested in helping me in any way. I cancelled my appointment after that because of this, but I ended up having to make another appointment here later. The eye doctor was very good at his job and all of the staff were very friendly. Besides the one rude male, who works in the eye doctor office, my visit was great!

I kept getting the runaround by different employees after ordering glasses, tried talking to the supervisor JR who told me he would call me back within an hour and still has not (its been almost a month). I have stopped by to get my refund processed on multiple occasions and Im told that I need to speak to the manager who is in a meeting and to come back later. It has now been almost 2 months since I ordered glasses from this office and I still have nothing to show for it. Terrible customer service, I suggest going anywhere else
I have been waiting for 3 months for them to get my contacts. Every week Id call and everytime they said they would get them shipped the next day. This has been going on and pushed off to the next person where we start back at square one. I still havent recieved them and and with the way they handled my last call I doubt I ever will. I havent yelled or anything yet because I know it gets you nowhere. They just dont care about you or how your life goes once you leave the office. Its a money over customer care. Would never recommend! And Im glad everyone I referred has heard about this and will not be returning either to to Similar issues

Scheduled an exam and then dealt with Jordan after the exam. She was awesome and upfront with the fact that I only needed reading glasses and store bought ones would work. I wasnt looking forward to glasses and she took the time to explain about multifocal contacts. I now wear the multifocal contacts and love them.

They would be done on the 24th of December went to get then still not done, then they let me know for sure by the 29th drove 45 min to there location nothing still, then they told me for sure the 3rd of January .... Will see this is horrible Ive never had issues getting my glasses at other companies, on time .. just this one will never go back Ill take my business elsewhere...
**Wrong info provided to me and ended up paying for something I never asked for**My son and I had an appointment 2/9/2019, overall my experience there was great and was pleased with the service provided, however my follow-up did not go so well. I received a call from one of the young ladies there letting me know that my glasses would be finished 2/21, but due to the bad winter storm that they would be done on the 2/22. I already had a follow-up appointment scheduled for 2/25 so I decided to pick them up then considering its an hour drive for me. I get there and was told my glasses were in fact not ready, so I waited around and when I received my glasses the lenses were NOT what the young lady who helped me previously had described. I have terrible eye sight so of course Im use to having to deal with thick lenses, however the woman told me if I ordered HD lenses, that they would be thinner. I paid extra money for this becasue of what I was told. To my disappointment, my lenses were still thick and when I asked the young lady about it she told me HD doesnt make them thinner. I was extremely upset, however I didnt have the time to try to mend the situation because I cannot keep making these trips to Flagstaff. I left very upset that I paid for a feature that wasnt at all what was described to me. Visionworks, my advice to you is to make sure your employees have the correct knowledge before putting them out of the floor.
I went there to get glasses but what I got was an in-depth eye exam and the most friendly helpful service I never expected. Marci made sure to remind me about my insurance which I did not think would cover this, but did. And she helped me thru every step including a yay or nay on the look. Thank You Visionworks for being so nice in this day and age.

I had the worst experience ever i got an eye exam picked out a pair of frames i told the lady i got paid next Friday and i would pick out my other frams she said it would be fine so when i went back in my price i was quoted went from 385 to 550 the man said my special ended and i could down grade my lenses but it would still be well over 400 these guys are liars and crooks they tell you one price and when you pick out your glasses they jack up the price i told them i will just take my business some place else
