These friendly people went above and beyond to get me glasses I felt comfortable in. I have a very strong prescription so lens thickness of something I am always worried about. Ill spare the details but they really did everything and more to make me happy. This is how business is supposed to be done. Hard to find this care and service anymore.

I love Sterling Optical and have been going to them since they were located in the old Fredericktown Mall back in the 80s. My pocketbook though does not love them or maybe its the glasses I have to wear. The service is outstanding though. I will though continue to go to them and not chose new frames for my glasses.

The screw fell out of my glasses and the entire right arm of my glasses had fell off .... then the place I originally purchased the glasses from were closed. Knowledgeable doctor. Happy with the exam. Concerned about the safety guidelines about covid.Was asked to remove my mask. Not a filter system in the examination room. No disinfecting aerosol . No time in between patients.

I chose Sterling Optical because of their ease of access and because of their high ratings and positive reviews. A quick visit to their location will help anyone see how friendly their staff are. The doctor was very thorough with a good sense of humor and timely efficiency. My wife and I were able to have our exams quickly and select frames easily. The frames they have on display often have many style options, and the staff is more than willing to help you select the best style and pair for your needs.My wife had no trouble finding her new glasses but I sure did - which is no fault of theirs at all! For whatever reasons, I was only able to see a small window of focused vision at a distance. The doctor did another exam for me and they offered to contact my previous provider to verify my prescription to try and find a reason for the issue. They ordered new lenses for me three times and eventually we opted to try and entirely new frame that allowed for a better shape to the lens to adjust the optics to allow me to see from a much larger focal point window.My eyes were clearly not easy to find a solution for, but they never gave up helping me, and were friendly and helpful the entire time. In particular, Nan and Tommy were immensely helpful and I am so very grateful for their investigation into a working solution. They charged me nothing for the extra work involved despite new frames and at least 3 different lenses, and I have recommended them to half a dozen others since. They deserve 10 out of 5 stars for their effort, professionalism, selection, prices, and comfort. Thank you very much. Ill return as often as I can!

My experience at Sterling Optical was incredible. I walked in hoping to find a pair of glasses with my five year old in tow. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They made my son feel like part of the team and they were so kind and patient with him being loud and busy! This was my first visit to Sterling Optical. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Dr. Amedeo is personable and I was completely at ease with him. I have fairly acute anxiety, so this is high praise. He also explained why I have certain issues with my vision -- previous eye doctors have not provided me with this level of information. Heidi helped me pick out frames that fit the shape of my face. She very quickly caught on to my personal style preferences and not once did I feel rushed to make a decision. (I needed several new pairs of glasses, so this took a decent amount of time.) I will definitely go back next year for my annual eye exam.

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I got a contact and lens exam and the eye doctor had me go in for a check up a week later to make sure the prescription was perfect. Never had an eye doctor go this far to make sure Im happy with the prescription changes. The contact lens prices are fairly decent as well. High recommend.

Tommy is personable, courteous and charming--you feel like a friend upon meeting him. He runs a professional team and everyone in the office mirrors his excellent customer service and friendly nature. My family of six have been going to Sterling Optical for many, many years and let me say why. The location is easy to find and has easy parking right at the front door. The interior, which just has been refreshed, is immaculate, bright, airy and cheerful. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. (You feel like you are walking into Cheers where everybody knows your name.) The doctor is very experienced, thorough, smart, patient and funny. (He may have you come back for a few follow-ups just to make sure everything is looking good.) The pricing of the exam and the glasses, or lens, are reasonable and fair. They also never up-sell or are pushy. You purchase only what you need. I would not trust my eyes, or the eyes of my family, to anyone else.

Ive been seeing the same eye professional for almost 20 years and they were bought out over a year ago by a fast food eye chain and quickly went downhill. After 3 errors in making my last pair of glasses I decided to go to Sterling Optical this time.From the phone call to the finished product they were amazing. The Doctor took time to listen to my concerns (I have an odd RX) and the staff was great in helping me pick out new frames. Cheri was amazing to work with and extremely helpful. April took my original call and was also very helpful with my questions. My appointment was on Saturday and they called Tuesday to say that my glasses were ready (3 days!); glasses that I could actually see through! Great experience and great people. They have a new long term customer!

My husband and I have been coming here for several years now and the staff is wonderful. This time we had April who took the time to explain everything about our purchase to us. Checked our insurance and even checked for more discounts and rebates. Offered us water or coffee since we had to wait for our eyes to dialate. The staff are all very friendly and informative. This is the first time Ive bought from Sterling Optical and only the second time Ive bought glasses. Being relatively new to wearing glasses, I learned a lot about the care and maintenance that I didnt get from Allegheny Optical (the 1st place I bought from). I would recommend Sterling Optical to anyone who needs glasses. The optometrist was very friendly and went above and beyond the normal eye exam. Customer service was great. Everyone who worked there was very knowledgeable.

Seems as if you’ve entered an optical shop in LA but behind the warm welcoming, the fake smiles, the lower voices and the doctor’s flirting, it’s how much they can hit your pocket. Make sure what you’re signing and make sure you tell them to sign your paper to refund your money for selling you three times what you need and you end up just getting what you actually went for in the first place. Stick with your first impression, do not buy add insult that you don’t need because it just doesn’t work and when you ask for a refund you don’t get any. My experience, went back four times just because they couldn’t get the prescription right. I ended up getting glasses from $1 store which work perfectly and didn’t have to go to the doctor for migraine for being pushed to “try the glasses for a few days to see if your eyes can adopt...” which it didn’t because it is not the right prescription. I paid almost $200 for glasses I will never wear. Shame on you for ripping off people that trusted you.

April was helpful during my visit, everybody is friendly. I have never had an issues with Sterling Optical. My glasses were ordered and are supposed to be delivered sometime this week. Would recommend this place to others.

I have often used this business as an example of great customer service, regardless of the specialty. Eye exams are very comprehensive, with great explanations of the tests and results. There is never any pressure to get frame upgrades, add-ons, or options. The staff could not be nicer.

Originally I went to another optician to receive my exam, which I had a horrible experience with. Read reviews about sterling optical and decided I would call and see if they accepted new patients. From the first initial phone call I received Amazing customer service and I wasn’t even a customer yet. So I decided to take my prescription over there and I was able to walk in and pick out my glasses. From start to finish I felt like my time mattered. Julie was amazing! I told her what style of frames I wanted and she helped pick out a few for me that were at no additional out of pocket cost to me. Need an amazing experience run don’t walk to Sterling Optical!

I first met Dr. Amedeo in 1997 when I was home from college for Christmas. It has been 20 years and while I have gone other places from time to time (due to insurance), I am happy to be back as a Sterling Optical patient. I never worry if I will get an appointment or get the proper treatment. Doc always remembers me, even if its been over a year. He always asks about my family and when he sees my children, he always makes them laugh. Julie, Tommy, Sherry and the other staff whose names I dont know are the most kind and helpful. Service is top notch here, always has been.
