I tried a scoop each of the Reeces ice cream and guava sorbet yesterday evening. Though both delicious, the guava sorbet was very tasty and guava-y! They had a handful of other flavors and a few cakes and pastries though I dont know if the pastries are made in-house. The menu included coffee and shake options and its also nice to see that the shop is open until 8pm...more time to eat ice cream! Theres no indoor dining as of yet.

In the nature of my work career so far provides me the opportunity to travel all over California. It is a.pleasure to bring more and more insights on unique outings and culinary adventures. This visit to Fremont from Sacramento, I had just had dinner next door and decided to grab a dessert. I had seen the big Ice Cream Cone and decided to give a try. The staff was friendly and the place was not busy. So able to peruse through their gelato selections.One particular item that particularly caught my curiosity is the Cilantro Lemon Sorbetto. Asked for a sample and tried it. It was heavy Cilantro with a hint of Lemon. I can imagine using this in a melted version on a Chicken Alfredo type dish. I bet it would delicious. Although, not too in the mood for Cilantro Lemon, I decided to get my sweet tooth ON a d enjoyed the Nutty Coconut.As for the good experience, in need to give a 4 Stars rating as this establishment was not able to honor Military/Veterans with a discount. Good stuff nonetheless.

When I visited, I got the pecan pie gelato. While the gelato was good, it was also quite pricey. A normal cone costs .50 and a waffle cone is a dollar extra, on top of the 4.50 per scoop price. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere is decent here. If the prices were around a dollar cheaper, I would have given this place 5 stars.

Great place for gelotos! And gelatos cake! Most of the cake size are small 6. They do have some 10 ones on the shelves. Gelato is always fresh and tasty. I have had Red velvet and it tasted perfect with the correct account of servers and was fresh. The staff were very kind and they remind us always about the gelatos cake vs the sponge cake. Apart from that you get macrons. Overall a good dessert place for cakes and gelatos! They do sell cake by the piece!

Sweet Orchid is a cute spot for a date or just to grab a quick bite to satisfy your sweet tooth. The ice cream selection was definitely interesting (I did not know I that I would ever like cilantro-lemon as an ice cream flavor, but they nailed it!), and they also had some good pastries as well. The bakery is clean and quaint, and customer service is friendly and prompt. The only reason I didnt rate this as 5 stars is because the pastries werent absolutely amazing. Otherwise, Im definitely open to going back to Sweet Orchid for their ice cream flavors!

Ive been coming here since way back when it first opened, and to this day its one of my favorite places to go for a sweet treat. Their gelato is always tasty, and their selection of pastries are also great.

Beware, prices are on the very high side for a cake. But we were able to get two good slices for ~$10. Friendly staff. Small quaint area to eat if you eat there. We got a taro cake and a tiramisu both were delicious.

Stopped here randomly when craving ice cream and left very happy. Delicious flavors and very very friendly staff. They were great in letting us sample multiple flavors until we hit a combination we both enjoyed. Delicious!

I went with some family that likes this place a lot. The employees was nice but a little slow. A few of us order was served. A few of us wanted to order a little later but by the time we got ready to order there were other people ahead of us. So after 3 attempt to get help we gave up and ordered nothing and left. So service can improve!

The gelato was really good. Its not completely Italian but more like an Asian fusion. It also has some board games to play and some pastries that look really nice but not a lot of variety (I wanted some pastry with just chocolate and couldnt find any)

We love sweet Orchid! They have handmade, fresh daily, gelato, sorbet, pastries, and cakes! It is all delicious and Katie is so very sweet!! There is a small area to sit and enjoy your treat, that is clean and comfortable.

Taro vanilla cake is the perfect amount of light and crunch. Also the only place Ive ever visited that sells gelato cake! Have to pay a little more to have these nice things but theyre worth it.

I got a taro cake for my sons 3rd birthday. It was absolutely delicious and beautiful. The girl at the counter was super nice and helpful and the place is so clean and welcoming.

Not as big a gellato selection as Gellato Classico in Fremont but the flavors we had were all delicious (5 of us). I can only speak about the Gellato but they did have a nice selection of what appears to be high end cakes... if you can go by looks - lol. I will go back again for the gellato and consider it a 5 star if the cakes are equally tasty.

Tried some of their gelato, really liked it. I hope this place gets more business. I believe they closed for a bit and might be in the process of reopening right now as of 02/08/17. They have lots of nice looking cakes and desserts too. Unfortunately Im not much of a desserts person so I wont come back to try more but it looks like a great place if you need a cake or gelato.

This is mainly a gelato place where you also get cakes, pastries, brownies and few other desserts. I came here to try out the gelato which were good. Not extraordinarily good but decent. Two flavors (out of 8 I tried 😝😝) that I would definitely recommend are 1. Almond and 2. TaroLavender was different and good but didnt appeal to my taste as much the others did. I havent tried any pastries or cakes over here. I will edit this review and rating after I do. But I must say I was a little disappointed as I came here with rather high expectations looking at other reviews and ratings. In short, a little overrated.

Was craving gelato and came here. Waited about 15 min. to be served other women in line with a big order. Ordered one scoop with a waffle cone and was told she didn’t have change for $100. Had to give the gelato back. Left with no gelato after 20 min! Never coming back! If your going to run a business be prepared!

Personally I only tried the Gelato and it was incredible. Its one of the few places where I have gotten eggless gelato. Definitely some of the best chocolate gelato Ive ever had. It is a little pricey, a single scoop was $4.50. I will going back though.

Its OPEN again! Some of the smoothest gelato/sorbetto I have ever eaten! My favorite is the Cilantro Lime sorbetto; perfect for a hot summer day.

Taro cake is my favorite here, rich taro favor but not too sweet. I cant find this cake anywhere else. So glad that they are open again! I tried Donatella gelato today. It tastes very hazelnuty and chocolaty. Anyone who likes nutella will love this one!
