They might have lots of stuff but very very bad experience. The billing staff rudely asked the basket( as if I am taking to my home). Even they don’t have their own carts ( atleast I haven’t seen any), surprisingly I see lot of other store carts ( attached ). I heard from one of my friends from store management “our carts are being stolen and we are ordering new ones”. By the way I am not from this place and this was a great shock.
Great store with a variety of products. A lot of regional items that make it a speciality store too. The only negative is the obscure entrance. Had to circle the place twice to get to it.
Good Indian Store to get Chicken 🍗 Goat 🐐 Meat 🥩 Varieties and basic vegetables 🍅 and groceries
Service not changed since ages can do more way better with organizing and adding organic veggies to the store.
Good collection of Indian grocery. But this place is very congested
Nice one stop place for Asian Indian grocery.
This place used to be a hidden gem of Fremont 2-3yrs ago. Not any more!Prices are creeping up. Greens and veggies are sold at higher prices now. Always crowded.Produces are not tagged with prices, its written on a chalkboard as a list in a corner. Good luck finding the price of an item which you’re trying to buy. Is it even legal not to post prices properly?Anyways, staffs are loading and working while the customers are there, absolutely no practice of social distancing. Also staffs these days are rude. Don’t expect friendly response if you need one’s attention. Also, this store did price gauging with a certain products when pandemic hit last year. I have observed this for at least first 6 months. I know because I buy those Indian products which are available at only a few stores. Terrible business practice! Also, they never answer their phone. They actually pick up the phone, and then hang up right away. How rude!I come to Fremont occasionally, just to buy some Indian exclusive items. It would be nice to know if they have those in stock before heading.I would give this place a negative star if that was possible.
All Grocery and vegetables, Meat, few types of fishes available. Most of the grocery items price unknown until billed. I’m seeing ‘-ve’ reviews about meat weight. I tool felt about the weight but never checked it.Personally didn’t have any bad experience with shop keepers as per me they good and helpful. Here Mr.Biriyani foods and starters are good.😋
Crowded on weekends. No carts/shopping baskets available. Long queues for billing
Had a negative experience in this place. Was billed for item I did not purchase. I went back requested for correction of error - they wanted to check when and how I bought the item. I showed them date and time (I came back from home after 20 min) After some waiting they did refund the amount. The cashier threw the refund receipt and was angry with me as though I made the mistake. This is something that could have been handled well. Not coming back.
Today I purchased the 2.04 Lb goat meat and I observed meat was less and in cash counter when I asked to check again. It showed incorrect. They lied to me saying they kept the hand in weight machine. The men are rude and saying if you have doubt you can give it back. I have observed this for long time and today I thought to check the weight. This is so wrong and they need to recruit better people.
Nice place and with all Indian grocers available. Also Indian food is available here.
I got 3 packs of mangos from this shop and they are so bad.. they look good outside and spoiled inside... when I went to return the rest of the mangoes, they dont even ready for accepting these back.. the guy at the front desk was so rude and was fighting, when I say I want to talk to the manager.. I dont recommend this shop and never go to this shop again..
Today I bought whole chicken which on label it says 3.48lb and when I weighed at home it showed around 2.4lb. I know there might be some wastage when you take whole chicken but I never thought it would be more than 1lb. I suggest everyone please re check the weight once they are made into small pieces.
I would recommend to visit this place to get all the indian groceries. The vegetables are usually fresh and arranged in a way that you can find them easily. There’s ample parking space outside the store. From the last I heard, I don’t think they accept apple/Google pay..
Items availability is good. But everything else is BAD. 1) Rudest Cashiers to communicate 2) they throw stuffs like anything after they scan 3) Expired Products- you really need to check the date of items having Indian rate tag. I have always seen fungi on sweets on below boxes placed exactly next to the cashier counter 3) NO SHOP CARTs of their own. All are stolen ones from other places 4) some times they type in price - you need to cautious about it as they put in highest priceable rate rather than actually find the correct item code of the product in your basket 5) most of the items there will be some issue on their billing and will rush customers to clear the counter. I can add on their issues, but still buying there for 3 years - JUST because of meat, Indian snacks, indian vegetables availability and seeing no improvements at all from their side
Not spacious, but meat is good.
Centrally located in Fremont. Excellent choice for Indian groceries, vegetables, and all items under one roof. Value for money shopping outlet.
4 rating is just because for the compactness of this grocery shop. Size of the grocery store is very congested making it super cumbersome to make 6 feet distance between people during covid time. For pre pandemic time also you hardly have any space left while crossing other people. Otherwise this is the one store shop for Indian groceries where you will get each and every tiny piece of your need. Ample parking available. It also has meat section where you get fish, goat, chicken freshly cut. Meat section though closes at 7:45 pm in the evening and start at 9:30 am in the morning. If you go in the morning around 9 or 10, you get all fresh vegetables.
This place is a 💎 gem. It has all the floo floo of an Indian store, a snack and biryani counter and a fresh meat conter, All in one. Also drum roll, they now sell CHATT like they do in india on a stall. So good. Prices are reasonable not cheap but not very expensive. The staff is polite and nice to talk to. QUICK EASY CHECKOUT NO UNCOMFORTABLE CONVERSATIONS. All in all a one stpp shop for anything Indian. Also the food at the snack counter is so yummy. A bit expensive at $10 a plate but so yummy 😋. Portions are small. The owner lady seems mean but shes just doing buiseness.
Nice place where you get all the indian product but it would be helpful if someone helps to find the stuffs we are looking for ..
They publish fake timings. The store is closed at 8.30 pm itself. The lines here are ridiculous. The shop is also not very clean, I feel like I am picking items from a dumpster. Visit this place to know how dumpster diving feels like
Great place to get ingredients for Indian food.
Owner ( lady ) always sounds very harsh . No light at the entrance . Limited space so difficult to find the items . (Most ) Ppl working there are not helpful they don’t understand English and we always have a hard time making them understand.Price ok . Vegetables good . Meat ok.Request to the store owner : pls put some lights at the entrance for the past 2+ yrs . keep your store clean & pls smile at your customers . Thank you .
Very good place for indian vegetables, grocery and foods. Good collection of fish, chicken and meat. They are very good at customer service. It is little far from my home but i go there for the fish. By the way, they dont scale the frozen fish. But one way it is good.
Very nice market, most of the indian grocery items available at reasonable rate
Always like to purchase groceries from here. I can find most of south indian veggies and spices. Nice place to get fresh meat too..
Just love the Telugu snacks they have 😍
No social distancing at all. People put on arguments when asked to keep distance
Customer Service is the worst of all. They use foul language towards customers. Very untidy store. Prices increased drastically over the pandemic.Reviewing after visiting the store more than few times. It is always very untidy, hostile service.
None of the dry Indian groceries have prices on them unlike other Indian stores. There are no price stickers and if you decide to buy you will be surprised with the price you are charged. I bought Bajra flour which was $2 more compared to other stores in the area! We cannot ask the staff for prices on every item we are planning to buy, it might be annoying!
Location wise good but a little confusion when u put in GPS, as the entrance is from backside parking lot.As soon as u enter, u immediately feel the store is too congested.THE MAIN PROBLEM IS PRICING.They dont have prices displayed for grocery items except for fresh produce which are listed on chalk boards. Many times there are discrepancies in the listed prices and the receipt prices, when u ask they will simply say, we were very busy to change the prices. So you need to check the receipt before you leave the counter. Other wise its a reasonable store.
One stop shop for grocery, meat and food pick-up. I would really appreciate if store keeps pruce tag on items which makes shopping easy.
It was very best groceries store coz there is lower prices and good condition grocery available 👍
After I paid for 6 samosas and already outside the market walking to my car, a lady comes out of nowhere asking in a very aggressive tone, why did i have so many samosas? demanding that I return them because I could only buy a certain amount. Made me feel like i stole them or somethings. I know i didnt have to but hate arguing so I returned them. She was just too rude.
Entrance is very weird, but they had most things you need
Great customer service. During this time of Pandemic they are helping the community. I order grocery by email and they were kind to get it ready for.me.I didnt have to wait, just paid for the product and walked out. Thanks again!!Justin
Good collection of Indian groceries. Apart from this they have a small restaurant inside which serves only take out food. And its very cheap. They also have a small outlet which sells halal meat. The store is pretty much always crowded and expect a long line.
Good meat - custom cuts available
Slow service
Over all good grocery options for Indian items, lot of variety and also have food options (Spice Palate). There are lot many grocery shops in Fremont, however feel this is better than any other store. Prices are decent, not exuberant, and good quality. Other stores in Fremont have bloated prices, not sure how same item can cost $1~$2 more in other stores.
This is a useless store. I bought Yeast of 3packs and they argued with me return 2packs. There is nowhere it is written as I need to take one pack. They are very rude. People are not trained how to behave with customers. Very dirty store. They don’t have their own carts. They uses Foodmax, Target etc carts and they are very dirty. Not sanitized during COVID
Good grocery store..can get many fresh vegetables, and great snacks. I personally think they have great tomatoes here, but thats just my opinion. Good place for quick grocery shopping. Although the entrance is a bit hard to find, I think you should try it out.
Very dirty store. No cleaning, very dingy. And constantly stinks of meat or something really awful. Doubt they clean up properly. Absolutely unbearable to shop there.
Its a good Indian grocer in Fremont. I felt it better than ICC, just try not to buy the prepared food from their kitchen. Its horrible. Better to take the fresh ingredients and prepare yourself. You will get freshly cut chicken. Prices are also reasonable. I would recommend it.
This shop offers fresh fish, chicken and meat options . I bought king fish from the fresh fish counter from this store on Friday (August 2)but it turned out to be a spoilt smelly fish. I won’t recommend buying from this fresh fish counter as they sell old stale fish and don’t maintain quality control standards. Is there a way to report this to the health department?
You can get each and every item and prices are good compared to other stores. Sometimes you may need to long wait in the queue for checkout.
Very poor customer service and not friendly staff. Very expensive
Good store but very crowded. There are two workers who continuously works and never take a minute rest.Store has most Indian stuff, adding the Banana leaves will be more good.
First things first. The chicken we got here is awesome. Its smooth and curry ended up tasty. On the down side the store is not clean and little bit clumpsy.
Vegetables are good and especially leafy veggies I like here much compared to other stores.
On December 14th, I was in store in the evening around 6 to 8 pm. I’m writing since owner gets an idea about their rude employees who works as a cashier. She was on the left corner of the store and have no sense how to deal with customers. I was asking for cart because I bought 20lb bag of atta and other groceries also. I don’t want a bag because of plastic waste. Cashier was advising for 10 cents of bag. This is so ridiculous. Also, store is not cleaned well. Specially nearby Vegetable section where leafy greens are stored is dirty. Store manager should take care of this.
I dont usually go to this place for grocery. I gave them a chance today but resulted in poor experience with customer service & lack of cleanliness. There was not proper social distancing & cashier wasnt wearing gloves during checkout process. Hopefully they will recover from it soon for people safety.
Great place for Indian grocery shopping. Prices are reasonable. You can get fish, chicken, country chicken, goat and lamb. They also have a chat/snacks corner. Staff are friendly and grocery stock is good. I find this place always crowded.
Its an ok place.
First time going here, its another fairly big store, pretty much of every grocery item available here, veggies are mostly fresh except few and I also noticed relatively little lower priced
The best option for getting goat meat in east bay, especially since they dont have beef or pork which sometimes gets mixed up in the halal store. Some of the prepackaged good dont have expiry dates (I guess they wipe it) and you have to watchful when buying those.
Look and feel of this place is not great, but you find good items inside, please add 20 to 30 for billing. This place is very crazy during peak hours and weekends. You will get chicken, goat, lamp as well. Try to visit this place during off hours to reduce your grocery time and billing time. During peak time it is hard to get parking, space inside the grocery shop and carts as well. You will get some fresh Indian food ready to eat in the grocery shop. Prices are cheaper than the restaurant prices. Give it a try.
We get all type of indian groceries, customer service is really good, if u seek for some item and u ask for it, they will get it to u sooner or will try to get it as soon as possible.. we also get good and fresh chicken and mutton.. i find vegetables at reasonable rates... this place is really really good
Good place for fresh meat n veggies.
Good for Indian grocery but not great for fresh vegetables
Indian store where u can find all Indian groceries. There is a curry shop and meat shop to making it one stop shop for everything. Vegetables are fresh and not expensive. Great customer service.
Kind off little in the corner. They have good fresh meat.
Dont buy rice from here, not sure with other Stuffs. It doesn’t Looks Like regular rice most of the times. Store need to be visited for quality check
We visit here often for our Indian grocery needs. This place also sells goat meat, chicken, fish (frozen). The prices are cheaper compared to other stores, plus the staff are really friendly. I wish the place was kept a little more cleaner.
Very well stocked store and carries most spices, condiments and food required by the Indian community.
Good but not great. Place smells due to maybe not maintained properly. Go if u just want some Indian stuff u cant find anywhere else .
Not A Great place for Biryani.
We get variety of Indian snacks, groceries etc. festive seasons they offer discounts as well. Only concern I have is we need to go on selective days to get fresh vegetables.
Excellent Meat
Vegetables are fresh on weekends only. And cash register people are very rude now a days. Which feels me not going there at all.
Veges are fresh. Refilled often and the groceries are well displayed. Lamb, goat meat and chicken are worth mentioning.
Price are good but quality of vegetable is not good.
Its cheap and good.. excellent customer service.. wonderful place to buy all items in one place
This is where I usually buy groceries. You also get halal meat. Goat and chicken are fresh and good. Issue with Indian market are, the entrance is little messy, little congested. you dont find lot of options for frozen items. You have so much of parking space.
No street lights outside the store, very difficult during evening time. Busy on weekends. Best time to visit is on weekdays.Updated review : Never buy milk from this store, milk gets spoiled well before the expiry date. This has happened multiple times.
Good store to get all the desi groceries. Very long line ups though :(
Good place to do all your indian grocery shopping. The meat shop within the store has fresh meat. Also, the takeaway cafe in the store has some good snacks and food.
Awefully crowded most of the times. They somehow have to increase the number of counters.I see almost everything that you need in an Indian Kitchen. They sell fresh meat too. I love their country chicken - a meat that I havent seen any other store been selling. Potatoes and onions may not be fresh all the time, probably they get over too soon.
Good and friendly conversation on counter and easy to find all indian items
Well stocked Indian store. My go to for fresh veggies, they usually have a good variety.
Packaged and Frozen stuff is good but vegetables and fresh produce below average
Great place for Indian food. I was able to get saijan, choraiya, and katta bhaji. These greens are popular in Fiji
Very reasonable grocery store with all options. Best part halal meat is available in the same store. Price is also up to the mark.
They have a good collection of fresh vegetables. And we almost find all south Indian spices and snacks that we look for. This is one of the places where they sell Ravi - Sona masoori rice, which is one of the best brands. They also have fresh poultry/meat available. But the place does get crowded during weekends and there is about 10-15 mins of wait at the checkout line.
When ever I visit Fremont or Unioncity we love to go Indian market .. we will get all kinds of groceries especially South Indian items.. I recommend this place😊👍
Can be little more tidier
Good Indian market where you get most of items. Its more South Indian based grocery department .You get fresh vegetables & fruits .
Best local Indian Market. You Can find almost everything for your house hold monthly groceries. Best economic Indian store.
Very well organized Indian store. Get all the vegetables and fruits along with Indian spices and condiments.
Looking for herbs? tea? fresh coconut? or spices? thats the place to go!!!
Good collection of foods and fresh vegetables. Decent pricing
Very congested and check out line starts where you pick things...
