Good clean station with respectful, friendly service! Much cleaner than my previous inspection station.

I recently used Discount Inspection & Brake to get my car inspected. When I called to check on the best time to come by Cruz told me the next available opening and made an appointment for me. I was thrilled when I showed up and Cruz immediately knew who I was and was ready for my car. The inspection was quickly done and the technician pointed out that my brake rotors were getting grooved and were close to needing attention. Cruz provided me with an estimate for the brake work and told me I still had some wear left on the rotors before I should get the work done. I had a great experience here! I came in for a routine oil change, the service was fast and friendly. The front desk guy, Cruz, gave me important information about additional routine maintenance to stay on top of to extend the life of my car. He was very knowledgeable and fun to talk with. Can’t recommend this place enough. Cruz and the team fought for me with the warranty company to get my car repaired. They even got it taken care of 9 days before they thought because they were so on top of things. Cruz kept me updated through the entire process and is easily the most friendly mechanic shop employee I have ever worked with. This place is great!

We dropped off our Honda Pilot at Discount Inspection and Brakes for new brake pads and rotors the Thursday evening before July 4th weekend. We fully expecting to not have it back till after the holiday. The team had worked efficiently and quickly to return our vehicle back the following mid-day making sure our family had a safe ride. They kept us informed the entire process with pictures and explanations of any work that needed to be completed along with itemized pricing. They did a complete brake repair, including rotors one caliper, as well as replacing 2 worn motor mounts. Got it done in a little over a day, the new mounts got rid of a shake I had when idling; and the brake job, while extensive, got my suburban to where it should be good for another 100,000 miles. They were on time and at the quoted price. Ill be using them in the future.

Inspection was going great till they tried to tell me I had a leak in my rack and pinion... Had a transmission leak before and guess they never cleaned up around the area... So they failed my inspection... Will never go back to people who try to scam people out of money... Very sad that people do these sort of things....

I took my 2016 Explorer in for an oil change and state inspection. I had an appointment for 8:30am and after waiting for 46 minutes I was finally given a quote on the oil change which was more than what was quoted me over the phone. I had brought my own oil and filter and was only needing the labor. I was then also told that my brake pads were too thin and they couldnt complete the inspection unless they replaced the pads and rotors. Keep in mind that I was not having problems with the brakes and they were not making any noise as all. They qouted me over $600.00 for the work. I decided that I would just have then do the oil change and would shop around for the brake work. After calling a couple of places and finding out that I could have the work done for half of what they were charging I decided to check one other shop. I spoke with a state licensed inspector who questioned why I wanted the brakes worked on as he was surprised that a car that new needed brakes. I gave him the details of what happen at Discount Brakes and Inspection/Master Transmission. He informed me that the state inspection guidelines state that as long as the brakes are not grinding then it passes. The thickness of the brake pads has nothing to do with passing or failing the inspection and that I should report this to the state regulators. After that conversation I took my vehicle to another shop for the inspection and it was passed, with no issues. Its obvious that this shop, which I had used many times in the past, is now looking make up reasons to do work instead of running an honest repair shop. I have reported this to the state regulators as well.

Came here just to get a state inspection. But they also went above and beyond to let me know how my car is doing. I have a family so I need to get around. And they definitely making sure of that. They offered me drinks and snacks too. Definitely coming back!

Went above and beyond! Dropped the car off in the morning, had pictures with explanation of what was wrong with the AC, had it fixed the same day. We were going out of town and my son didn’t have a ride to pick his car up so they came and picked him up and drove him to the shop to get his car. Great place! Will definitely go back for auto issues. Highly recommend!

Having recently moved to Texas I needed to have my car inspected before registering it in Texas. From the initial phone call to leaving after the inspection was complete, they were friendly, courteous and thorough. I will return for future needs.

Extremely overpriced, extremely bad communication. After leaving me hanging over the weekend, charged me 1200 for an alternator and battery cable. Didnt contact me at all until after I got ahold of them, then tried giving some excuse and free oil changes ($140!!!) To keep me. Still tried pushing their reward program after I flat told them I wouldnt be back. This is after they charged $600 for a brake repair for my wife that is STILL squealing when she backs up.

OUTSTANDING customer service. They are fast,honest,and will work with you if you need flexibility on payments which is such a blessing! My car decided to just not turn on(how convient lol),and I called the shop and spoke to Cruz who explained what could be done,and guaranteed a time line to get it done and SUCCEDED🙌🙌. This shop turned what could have been a nightmare and drag into a great day. Did my research and would come back again! Give them a chance and they will work with you💯

This place is absolutely my favorite shop to go to! Rick is absolutely awesome, explains everything to the T. He will fix the small things first before he just tells you it’s something big! Second time coming to this place for a car inspection. This time I came when it was somewhat busy but with the great service they have, I was in and out with a relatively small wait. The employee was also very good with keeping me updated about when the car would be ready and anything else that came up. Very professional and kind. Would recommend.

The shifter cable on my car broke. Could not shift out of Neutral. They sent a wrecker to tow my car. They got the part I needed. It was only available from the dealership. Repaired my the same day!!! They are great. Also got my senior citizens discount too🤗🤗🤗

Got an oil change and inspection done. They were able to schedule me the same day and got it done in a timely manner! Very kind and professional and was able to use discounts from the mail and Groupon to save money! Allowed me to bring my dog in the lobby to wait when it started to rain. Convenient location to my house. We always use them and will continue to!

Came in for an inspection and dealt with Rick at the front counter and the technician who did my inspection. Inspection was normal. They did point out some possible mantainance needs. Had to wait quite a while even though I had an appt.

I have been to this business twice now.First Visit: I had my state inspection done. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I just showed up, no appointment. I never felt pressure to purchase additional services or products. Just a friendly heads up.Second Visit: I had a full brake job done. They had a fantastic deal going on. I was done much sooner than they quoted me. I have driven in the rain with my new brakes and I couldn’t be happier.I really enjoyed Mike and his wife. They were knowledgeable, kind, patient, and made the whole process enjoyable. I felt comfortable both visits.

They were able to identify my issue and other issues. And with there help assisted me with my warranty company to get all the repairs completed in a timely manner.

This was an exceptional experience for me! They replaced two of my front headlamp light bulbs without having to replace the entire headlamp, so at a much lower cost. They replaced a few filters in the engine area for a great price. And they topped off my windshield washing liquid for free! I come here for my oil changes and they are always so friendly. I called today because my check engine light came on and the guy I spoke too was very helpful. I have gone to Walmart and other place and often leave with missing parts on my car. I trust this place and won’t go anywhere else. They have gone above and beyond and always honest and if my car needed anything else done and I got it done there. I tell everyone to go there. It’s hard finding good honest people.

These are the most honest people that Ive ever dealt with regarding car repairs. I brought my girlfriends car here and they could have taken advantage of me, but they were honest and let me know what the actual problem was, and the root cause of the problem. The car dealership where I got my first estimate was very dishonest and wanted triple the price.Today, I brought my car here for an engine light, and again, they were honest and upfront. The made me aware that this is a defect from Audi that is causing all the problems with my car and Audi should take care of it on their end. Discount Inspection & Brake Auto Repair didnt charge me a dime. They are freakin amazing and will highly recommend them to anyone in Friendswood and Pearland area!

Bibin, Rick, Juan and Oziel are like a super team here. I have had multiple services done from here multiple times. I always get great service and honesty and transparency. Oziel is knowledge and did my transmission few years ago when multiple stores couldn’t find out root cause. Bibin and Juan are skilled and experienced and Rick explains all the work done to you with transparency. This time I got my wheel bearings done, it always made loud noise while driving and now it’s driving like a new car .I feel welcomed here and trust this place for auto needs and my family’s.I could write long and lengthy stuff but I don’t need to sell it because they are all kept in line by Heather. 😁 she’s the boss lady. !!! Lol so I’m not worried.

Highly professional work preformed here! I liked the way Mr. Mike and Mr. Rick communicated with me on other issues wrong with my car besides what I brought it in for. I was also appreciative of Mr. Mike bringing me home while my car was being serviced so I wouldnt have to wait at the shop.

This place was beyond my expectations, because, well, you know what bad reps car repair places get...we called them because we bought our car at Car Max. They were one of the few that honored the repair warranty. We were supposed to get the car in on a Thursday but our friend couldn’t help move the car that needed a new alternator. I called and let them know we’d get it there as soon as we could. As soon as we got there on Monday—yes, four days later, they seemed to have had a spot waiting for us....Honestly it was the fastest, and most reasonable and not to mention most kind car service we’ve ever had done!! Give them a chance!! You won’t be disappointed!
