I had an amazing experience at this location. I had made a same day appointment prior to the start of school. I had little to no wait when coming for my appointment. My appointment was quick and efficient, I feel as though my time was well spent at this location. After my appointment I was met with an amazing employee, Jeffrey. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. He was very friendly and compassionate. He understood exactly what I was looking for and ensured I was saving the most money possible, as I explained that I was a college student. Overall, I was very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of this location, would recommend!!!

I like Dr. Spivack however, there is no follow up from this place. I saw the provider a month ago and she ordered trial contacts for me. I’ve since called three times in efforts to find the status of the order. You get transferred to the service center and they are no help. Then someone said they were still being ordered. Now a month later, no update. I call again today and a man said he would call me back and no follow through. I will be switching from place. There has to be a better system for follow through. I’ve never seen an order of trials take ONE MONTH.. I’m not getting a box, I’m getting one pair to try…..

Quality of store has gone down. (Customer of 8 years)Front desk employees aren’t welcoming and some wear clothing that is too casual for the store. Long waiting time. Sales people talk too much. I noticed one of them was flirting with a customer while fitting her glasses, very creepy.The optometrists are only good for finding out your prescription; if even that. Ive had 2 different doctors give me the wrong prescription. If I ask them any questions about vision other than relating to my prescription they seem very lost or annoyed.You’re better off going to a optometrist clinic to get a detailed check up so you can get your prescription and buy high quality frames at a different store. I didn’t end up buying any glasses because most of them on display were very thin, flimsy or weird colored. They no longer sell high quality name brand or sports glasses in-store.

Terrible experience. I booked an appointment and they rescheduled it two times because they were overbooked. I gave my insurance information over the phone saying that my test would be covered. I walked in for my appointment and it felt like I was at the shopping mall- overwhelmed with people. They said they would have to check my insurance which took an hour and then they told me it might be covered and to follow her to the back to do a telehealth call with doctor- so you don’t even see them in person! I’m sorry but you told me over the phone it was covered and you just made me wait an hour and then I don’t even see the doctor in person to do a proper exam? Waste of time. Place is a zoo. Go to an optometrist that you actually see in person with individualized attention.

The service is absolutely terrible. They are not staffed to handle the volume of customers. The eye exam was quick and efficient and then I waited 40 min to pay for my contacts. Then I received a call they were in the store and I waited over an hour to pick up a box of contacts that could have easily been shipped to my home. Will never use them again.

Do not recommend this location. Made a 6pm eye exam appointment arrived 30 minutes early because they close at 7 and finished completed the eye imaging. Waited another hour in the waiting room to be told there were technical difficulties and I could not see a doctor. Employees were more interested in closing the store and going home than assisting a scheduled appointment/customer. Wasted a full hour and a half of my time to be told I could reschedule and do it all over again. Employees took no accountability and kept saying it’s not their fault rather than providing a solution. Contacted customer service and received no responses. I’m normally a customer that can understand certain service issues but this was overall the worst experience I have ever had at any business. Still no prescription or information received.

Had to visit the Garden City Davis Vision location today. Unfortunately it was not a pleasant customer experience. I call the store ahead of time on two separate dates just to get information and the girl over the phone kept giving me the excuse that their system was down and she could not get the information I was requesting. I could tell by her tone both times that she was annoyed and did not want to look it up. So I decided to visit the store just to find out what I was eligible for with my insurance. I visited the Garden City location on 4/8/21. I got to the store at 6:50pm. I only needed less than 10 minutes to ask my questions that they could not give me over the phone. Right when my mother and Myself entered the store we were meant with a girl at the front counter who just seemed like she wanted us to leave. She did not even say β€œHello Welcome”. All’s she said was we are closing. She must of said it like three or four times. I knew they were closing. I was not trying to stay there just ask my questions and leave. I really need new glasses and I just wanted to find out what I was eligible for since this place is under my insurance. She took my card and said β€œI will check quickly”. Very rude. She did not have to let me know so many times that they were closing. I already knew that. When people are met with this type of unprofessionalism and rudeness it makes a person feel now welcome and not want to come back to the store. She had no right to act that way toward my mom and myself. I actually think they still had a customer in the back so they can’t close until the store is empty. I’ve worked in retail when I was younger and never treated any customer like that. Just horrible customer service. Horrible. I would not even give them a one star.

Yea, its cheaper than a small boutique eyeglass shop, but you get what you pay for, a terrible eye exam from an overworked optometrist., glasses that are not the right prescription after two visits and returns and long intolerable waits. i went twice for simple reading glasses with transition lenses and new frames, and they could not get it right i gave up and asked for a refund, still had to pay for the worthless eye exam. Eventually went to the smaller eye shop, paid more money but at least i can see! have to give it one star, but really deserves zero stars...

Why arent the staff answering the phones??!! Called 6 days, different hours and no one, not once answered the call. Ive been here 2 weeks ago spent up to 46 minutes in the store and have noticed not everyone at once were busy. Come on your business offer essential products that customer needs. Theres lots of people with no jobs who would love to answer the phones and offer great customer service. Plus your online scheduler leaves much to be desired.

Told the incompetent person in the white jacket that my vision problem came on 3 weeks prior to my visit. He insisted I was wrong. Just didnt notice it he said. Put a monocle in front of my eye. Isnt that better the hack said. I told him no and he said I would get used to it. Paid the difference from the insurance to get glasses......went to a real doctor a few days later and the ophthalmologist said I have a retina condition that required treatment and would not be needing glasses at all. So buyer beware, they tell you anything to steal money from you. Still havent even gotten a call that they havent been picked up in 3 weeks and they dont answer the phone.

Rude and nasty greeter. Her name was Tina. I walked in to make an appointment since Ive been having issues setting one up online. She was discontented that I didnt know who my vision provider was. She had such an attitude that she made me feel like she was doing a charity by setting up an appointment. It got worse when i told her i had a secondary insurance and she had to look up not only one but two. At this point i said: Im sorry but if you are so upset and irritated because I dont know any this info, i cant set the appointment. I dont want to feel unwelcome next time I come here. I said thank you and have a good day and proceeded it to the door. She not only followed me, she kept repeating that everyone should know what coverage and providers they have. I said lady thats your job to find out.While my husband was waiting for me outside the building, the concierge said to him husband: that lady is rude and nasty. She always has an attitude problem. Next thing they see is me walking out and Tina following.The person next to her was on the phone and i believe it was the manager. That person didnt bother looking to see was going on.Tina definitely needs to be retrained (if she was ever trained) in customer service.

I wanted to try out a new optician closer to home and was sorely disappointed. I normally wear a set of monthly contacts and have for years. The doctor here over my objection decided to fit me for weeklies. She indicated that she didnt carry the monthlies I normally wear, but would find an alternative. No alternative has been produced for months. I called to have these weeklies changed to monthlies and now they want me to spend more money to sit for another contact lense exam (last exam was in Feb. 2020). Guess when their next availability for an exam is? October 30th! Its Sep. 30th today. Im going back to my eye doctors in Queens. They also have a huge problem answering the phones. I rather spend my money where I know they have the options and are receptive and responsive to quickly filling prescriptions. Headed to Express Optical on Queens Blvd!

Granted, COVID presents tough challenges in consumer-facing businesses, but this location fails miserably. From greeter at the door, no one answering the phone, and completely random β€œpolicies” about who can enter without an appt. People came to pick up eyeglasses after being told that they were in, and then not allowed into the store in order to pick them up, because they did not have an appointment. There was practically an overthrow. As soon as another greeter shifts changed, those same people were now allowed in. For those that weren’t, they paid and picked up their glasses in the hallway of the mall. No opportunity to try them on. I was never allowed in the store, even though I drove 10 miles to simply make an appointment and see if theyTook my insurance. I couldn’t find out online and no one would answer the phone in order to tell me. The place is a management disaster. Hoping someone from corporate reads this.

This store told him he had the wrong prescription and told him to leave without ordering anything or helping. I get the fact that Covid 19 has changed many ways we due business, but a clear explanation of what is has changed when the process of the purchase is being done before you pay would be a great help.So here it is 8/13/20 I havent heard from visionworks of garden city I call to see if my product has come in, I am out of the trials and guess what, they say they would have been finalized today πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”.. I paid on 30th what does that mean... I explained I have no more trials and ? I wouldnt never recommend anyone to go to that place. The doctor was helpful. However the certified optician(David) that I had were horrible. He didnt know how to charge me on my care credit card . The prices that he had told me when I was in front of him different. He told me $ 349 for the two glasses that I was going to buy and on the next day he called and said that he going to charge $549 even though the company I work for is paying 75% of the charge. I had called him back to ask how come the price is so high like that. He said this is what I told you, I have so many client I dont remember what I said, I put everything on the computer and the computer dont.He made the transaction very late. After that I had received a call saying that the glasses is scratch and they have to reorder It for me. It took them 3 weeks or so for them to be ready. They dont call you to let you know that the glasses are ready to be pick up. You have to find out on your own. I WOULD NEVER EVER GO TO THAT PLACE ANYMORE. THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS AT ALL.

Amazing customer service! They didn’t have my sample contact lenses but JEFF went out of his way to help me- he actually picked up my samples all the way in little Neck! I can’t thank him enemigo- he is a life saver- stop and see Jeff at this location!

The greeting staff is warm and welcoming. The examination by Dr. Blum, was accurate and Jeff fitted me with precision. Head over there and sharpen your image...... You can thank me later. :;

In and out in about an hour with examination and picking out glasses. We went on the last day of the year, so it was super packed. We were paired with Jeffrey Chamoff who made the process so easy for us. He walked us through the whole process and even helped us pick out the frames. He even made sure we got the best deal according to the insurance we had. Definitely recommend!

I had no trouble making an appointment. The wait was minimal. The doctor was great. Cesar my salesman was patient and helpful. I had a small scratch on one lens and they reordered it right away. The selection is great. All the staff were professional and courteous.
