I had a wonderful experience with this completely new crew at JC Penny Optical at Roosevelt Field. Dr. Linda Bertschuk is so knowledgeable and went above and beyond with her examination and in assisting me with my selection of my glasses. The whole crew worked with me throughout the appointment offering their expertise. They were experienced and responsive to all my inquiries. It was by far the best experience I have ever had with an optometrist. I have recently picked up my glasses and could not be more pleased. I would highly recommend a visit to them.

I really enjoyed my experience. The doctor was very friendly and took the time to listen- unlike other chains where Ive felt like a number being churned through.While the frame selection isnt as large as other places, I found a super cute pair that Im very happy with.I also appreciate the care and precautions they have in place for COVID safety.

Went to JCPenney Optical because I had used Sears Optical and really liked it, and presumed it would be the same. Requested a specific contact lens for a specific result. The doctor decided on his own to order a different type, and they did nothing. When he then tried to order those I asked for, the office was unsuccessful. They wouldnt return my calls for a month. They finally refunded the money I had paid in advance for the lenses, and gave me a prescription. I purchased the right lenses via internet in less than 20 minutes and got them in about 10 days. But the prescription was wrong. I can clearly see things two feet away from me. I asked for reimbursement so that I dont have to sue, but have gotten nothing. They are a waste of time and money and would NEVER suggest anyone go to them.

Last week I went there and the old man that works in the morning had a bad attitude, very bad service. I don’t recommend to go there only for that man.

Horrible place! Do not go there! I bought a pair of corrective eyeglass with a titanium frame about a year ago, but one of the legs breaks slightly after 1yr. Replacement service rejected because it is over 1yr warranty. I brought the broken leg and frame to two other stores (not one!), but was told it is not titanium at all! Went back to there and confronted with them, she still insisted the frame is titanium because she said there is a label on the sample lenses with the frame having Titanium printed on. Really like a joke! Later I just googled and found out that JCPenny Optical is actually not owned nor operated by JCPenny. Some other dealer, called US Vision, just leases the space from JCPenny.

Do not go to this place. The old woman who works there is very nasty. She will make you feel so stupid, she has a loud voice and seems like screaming at you all the time. JCP should get rid of her.

This is not the place for you to go to if you have children or yourself. They have a very small selection and they want you to purchase things you dont need. Just DONT go to JCP optical.
