I brought my 2021 dodge durango into tate to have them check to see why the front tire was not holding air. They concluded it was a Crack in the rim not the tire that was the problem. I was told it wasnt covered under warranty due to it was caused by a toad Hazzard issue like hitting a pot hole or possibly a rock got in the wheel. I drive around town have never e enough had the vehicle off road it is a 4 wheel drive that was purchased with tow and go package so it could tow a trailer. But a pot hole is going g to cost me $1250 to repair. Mopar when l called was not very helpful. They said only thing they can recommend is to take it to a different dealership. Which wS the best thing. Second dealer said it is a manufacturer defect which is covered under warranty.

My experience was amazing!!! I bought a car from them 2 years ago and I came back and bought another car. Danny (sales manager) did everything in his power to find me the best car especially because I was being picky he was very patient with me and he was very nice and communicating through the whole process he even helped me find car insurance lol also Angie and Daniel (saleswoman and salesman) were very amazing and very helpful as well I recommend them if you come and looking for a car. They aren’t about the money they actually showed that they cared and wanted you to drive off in the best and something that you will love. They also had small talk other then just trying to sell me a car and I really liked that it made me feel comfortable. Thank you again!! They all need RAISES ASAP!!!

They did not pressure me and made the experience a fantastic one. Great job as usual by the team. I took my Jeep in for work to resolve an issue confirmed by the team at this location. They had my vehicle back to me the day promised and made sure all of my questions/concerns were fully addressed before I left the lot. I discovered something as I was starting to leave the lot, but immediately returned to speak with my service advisor, Jason. He had the tech look into it, determined the fix and immediately jumped on it. I appreciate their efforts to try and save me money while also making sure the work performed corrected the problems.Ive been coming to this dealership since 2016 and will continue to do so. I only trust this team with my Grand Cherokee.

What a horrific experience. The day of my initial purchase I was satisfied. And it has gone downhill ever since. First I had my lender from the vehicle I traded in calling me 3 weeks after my purchase and telling me I had accumulated fees for a late payment. That’s because Tate took so long to pay my loan off for the trade in. And now I get a notice from the MVA that I’m being feed for $150 for driving an uninsured vehicle. Which is the vehicle I traded in because the registration wasn’t transferred to my new truck. So now the MVA thinks I still have my old truck which is registered and uninsured. I’ll guess I have to register my new truck by myself since these people can’t seem to figure it out. What a joke…

I just have to say after many phone calls to get my driver seat visor replaced on my Jeep Wrangler they certainly redeemed themselves. My boyfriend took it in on a Saturday morning to have the repair done since I was so frustrated with the lack of communication I was dealing with. He stated they bent over backwards while he was there and I was very impressed with the amount of effort they took and communication that happened during his wait time. Thank you so much for rectifying the situation!

I do not enjoy buying a new vehicle. Normally I always walk away believing I could have gotten a better deal. This time was about as close to feeling I made the right decision as I ever have. Working with Scott was fairly easy and straight to the deal. My trade-in-value was fair. They gave me 18k for a Kelly blue book value at 20-24K. That’s judging my vehicle in good condition, though it was border line better. Is that a fair trade in value, you be the judge. The truck I purchased was immaculate I’m and truly sold it self. MSRP at 60,900 and bought it for, 50,500. Felt like a good deal when I drove away with it. Now, Scott was professional. Hooked us up with a full tank of gas the next day. Not much negotiations necessary and Scott spent the time going over all the aspects of the truck. It was overall a fairly quick trip to get the truck and get out. I’d buy again from Tate and ask for Scott to assist.

I implore you to do yourself a favor and deal with another Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer. We had a truck worked on there that the service department kept throwing part after part on to fix. They had the truck for over a month and a half and it ended up being a small patch of wires going to the first part they replaced. With a proper diagnostic I would have paid for some wiring and labor instead of over $2600 in parts and labor that were not needed (not to mention another $900 quote we declined and did ourselves that did not fix it). We wont be doing business with any Tate location any more. They do not communicate unless they need something.

I went there on the recommendation of my mom, and I dont think I could have ever made a better decision. I have always wanted a Jeep, and when the Renegade came out I was in love. I met with Tina Smith, an Angel. She hooked me up with the most gorgeous Jeep Renegade and set me up with a Financial manager, Patrick Okweli who worked super hard to get me financed. My credit isnt the greatest and this was my first ever NEW NEW car, so no Car credit either. They are a dream team. I emailed tate a few days ago to buy a challenger and the experience was not too bad compared to some of the other dealers Ive dealt with, they discounted the vehicle but not as much as some other dealers did and they were not the best at getting back to me and did not seam eager to do a deal once they knew where I wanted to be on price. overall I would give them a try to see if you do better than I did they werent as bad as some other dealers I tried. only other complaint I have is they advertise their prices without the destination included which is on the msrp just makes their discount look bigger which it is not.

I worked with both Wendell Fitzgerald and Billy Bragg in ordering a new truck and then after 2 weeks I had to change the order up hours before going on a trip. We worked the details out and submitted the new order over the phone without me having to come by the dealership. Today we got to go pick the truck up and it was just what we ordered. They handled my trade in very smoothly and there wasnt no surprise costs while doing the paperwork. Ralph Scott handled all the paperwork and kept the process smooth and quick. They even got me an additional rebate that was available that I knew nothing about. I wouldnt hesitate buying from them again.

Our salesman Scott was very nice, informative and honest. This is a wonderful dealership. The staff was friendly and they all do a excellent job. Scott was very knowledgeable on the 2 trucks we were stuck on. He was able to beat every other dealerships pricing and got the monthly payment we were comfortable with. Took my girlfriend there to look at a car. Stated that we werent interested in a jeep but the salesman right off the bat wanted us to start looking at jeeps. She is very upside down on her vehicle so negative equity is a big factor. In order to not waste any of the dealers time and our time, I asked for the vehicle to be appraised first before we started looking to see just how upside down she would be. The salesman very clearly stated that we dont do that here and that you would have to be looking at a vehicle first and pick one out before we can appraise your vehicle very pushy sales tactic. We left right away, I have no interest in doing business with anyone like that

They are my family and they treat me and my family with utmost respect.I did damage to the Dart and they calmed me down showed me what needed to be fix. I found the truck I wanted on the lot, but they didnt want to honor the advertised price claiming they added after marker parts. My wife and I were obviously upset that they tried the old bait and switch on us. We left without buying anything.

The customer service is satisfactory, and they were able to solve my problem. The issue lies with the amount of the hourly rate (even for a dealer ) and the fact that they will charge you for any and everything they can . My truck loss power while driving, took the truck to this place because of location. They said I had and electrical issue and needed to charge me for 2 hours to diagnose the problem, they have a separate rate even more expensive for electrical problems than the already outrageous rate for labor . 2 hours = $315 to tell me I had a unplugged wire behind the dash . I figure they already dogged me out for that . Had a issue with a sound coming from front end, ask while the truck was there could they get one of the mechanics to just drive it and listen tell me what they thought . The service advisor replies “sure but we will have to charge you for that also “ I’m like damn.....how about forget it and I’ll never come back .

I came in looking to buy a Jeep Gladiator, a vehicle I have wanted since it came out. It ended up not working with my budget, though Scott Kiddoo and Slate Hodges worked really hard to get it as close as possible. In the end, they were able to offer me an affordable lease that I was more than happy to accept. They really did all they could to help me drive away in the vehicle I wanted. It is much appreciated. Posting this here since official customer survey wouldnt accept the length of my review.Negative: I made several attempts with sales consultant, Luis Aulet, to achieve as much as possible via phone/text/email as I had concerns regarding social distancing and health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic. Luis (nice person but not very intuitive to the situation and my specific needs regarding these health and safety concerns) informed me that their dealership does not make those accommodations and that they would not provide pricing or delivery options via phone/text/email. I was left with no other option at that point but to schedule an appointment to meet in person. Our appointment was for 12pm, to which I arrived a few minutes early. Luis greeted me and informed me that he was “finishing up” with another customer and he’d be with me shortly. 3.5 hrs later, after no attempt to reschedule our appointment was made he comes to ask me for my trade in vehicle information so they could get the appraisal process started. Something that could have easily taken place during the 3+hr wait. So I had to wait another 45 minutes for the appraisal to be completed before they would sit down to discuss final pricing. Once I finally sat down at the salesman’s desk to discuss pricing all they had to offer me was that “the vehicle list price is our best offer”. I asked about military incentives/rebates for veterans and they said I had to be “retired or active duty.” I asked why they made me wait for almost 4 hours at that point, to inform me that the price is as listed. The only response they offered me was that they were short staffed. I asked if they had any interest in actually earning my business and they assured me they did. The sales manager came over and reiterated that the price was as listed and they wouldn’t be able to negotiate anything further. I explained that I was there for 4 hours ready to purchase a vehicle and the only thing I was asking of them was to sell me the truck I wanted to include a bed liner and under spray, leaving our final sales price $500 apart. He informed me that I could take it or leave it. They had zero consideration for my personal time on top of no concern for my COVID-19 precautions. This is unacceptable to me and unprofessional. I was not asking for anything unreasonable, just that my personal time be respected and accounted for while I was there to do business with them. At no point did anyone even acknowledge that I had been there for over 5hrs (to include the closing paperwork on my purchase), instead they waited until all paperwork was done, to begin prepping the vehicle for delivery. Another 40 minute wait. Lastly, in combination with my two points I’ve made (both positive and negative) in this review, the military rebate was what made it possible to include the bed liner and under spray in the purchase, the dealership made no attempt, yet again, to make adequate arrangements for these “We owe you” services. They informed me that they made an appointment for my truck to receive the services, 45 minute drive away from my work (1.25hr drive away from my home) and made no offer of a loaner vehicle to get me to and from home and work while my vehicle received the services that they sold me. This entire experience has left me no desire to recommend Tate as a dealership to any of my friends and family or other service members.Positive: Being a veteran service member I was awarded a considerable rebate towards my final purchase price ($2000). However, the conditions in which Tate would provide the incentives/rebates for veterans were extremely unclear until I was in the process of actually walking out of the dealership (due to final sale price negotiations being a matter of $500 apart). I had to ask a final time regarding any veteran incentives or rebates and it was explained to me with very little sincerity. Once it was finally understood that I did actually qualify for some military incentives, which made up the difference in the negotiations stale mate, the sale was able to be closed.

Really felt discriminated against and hurt. I never purchased a car there because of it. I went to another dealership and purchased a vehicle. I believe it was because I was not the same color as the sales person and I was judged. I did not need financing for the vehicle. I do believe if I was white I would have been treated differently.

Eduardo from Tate’s in Frederick promised me on the phone to match a price I had with another dealership in owings Mills. I drove over an hour from home to see this Jeep and gives me a number $5000 over what we discussed on the phone. They offered me $5000 less for my trade in also. This dealership lied to me, put 100 extra miles on my car, and wasted my time and gas. They had no care in the world either. You will not get the best price at this dealership so don’t even bother going. Plus they don’t care about their customers.

I went in on Friday the 17th of July for an oil change and a tire rotation on my 2017 Ram Rebel. 4 hours later my vehicle was returned with the incorrect tire pressure in all 4 tires. After an interesting phone conversation with the service advisor his words to me were, we are human, we make mistakes.. not an answer someone wants to hear in the vehicle repair industry. I will find a new Dodge dealer to perform my service, one that does not try to underplay the importance of why we take our vehicles to the dealer for service; and one that will ensure there is a checklist of basic items, including TIRE PRESSURE; that is checked before returning a vehicle to its owner. After rethinking my original post above i downgraded from 2 to 1 star. As vehicle owners we expect a dealership to have the highest quality standards for their brands. In any case this was not excusable.

Our experience buying our new Dodge Journey was the absolute best! Everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. My wife and I had to bring our 3 year old twins with us during the purchasing process and the dealership was just so extremely welcoming to them. It rained all day, they brought the car into the garage where we could look at it out of the rain. Scott Carr our salesmen was so professional and friendly. He got us a great trade in on are Kia Optima that we felt was really great compared to other dealers offers. We felt like we got an awesome deal on the new Journey. Absolutely loved the finance manager Ralph, we werent expecting the best finance rates becase of bankruptcy in the past, but he found us a great one!! To top it all off we were able to get the lifetime warranty that Tate offers, I was really really excited about that knowing my wife and kids will be covered in this new ride for the foreseeable future and Beyond! I bought a 2020 Jeep Gladiator from Tates after shopping around for many months. Tates was my last shop and after my first visit, I drove away with a jeep. They were one of the few dealers that were transparent with pricing. Most dealers in MD. had a lot of haggling back and forth in order to get to their fake internet pricing. Tates was completely transparent and the price that was given to me over the phone was exactly what was offered when I walked in. I ended up with a better deal than any of the other dealerships and the process was easy and hassle-free. I really like this dealership. Adams was my second favorite jeep dealer in the MD. area but Tates edged them out on having more cars and choices. Very satisfied.

I went in for a 2019 Jeep renegade that was listed on the website for $20,300. I met with Dennis and he was really great and helpful, took a test drive and was ready to buy it right then on the spot. Dennis went back to finance to get the deal started for us and a few minutes later the finance guy named Ken came out and said” I can’t sell you this car for $20,300, I’ll lose $5.000 on this if I do, I have to have $22,900 for this car, and went on to say” I have no idea how that price got on the internet”, took no responsibility at all. Livid is an understatement, watch out working with these guys, apparently they are bait and switch, horrible business practice

I FAITHFULLY get all services done at this dealership. My car is losing oil has 45K miles 2018 and needs new motor. They told me I had to pay for a rental car and did not want to help me AT ALL. I submitted a claim number with Corporate and will be seeking legal action against this privately owned company.

Purchased used Kia less than TEN months ago for my daughters, paid CASH, also purchased the MOPAR VEHICLE PROTECTION warranty. The engine is BLOWN on the vehicle, 2014 Sorento. Again less than ten months, @11,000 miles driven, local miles, regular maintenance, Oil Changes. Vehicle sat in our driveway for roughly three months because of COVID, maybe driven to the market, or for supplies, that’s it. MOPAR will NOT honor their policy, TATE refuses to work with. We are pretty much being BULLIED by Tate into paying @$1,200.00 to tear apart the engine so that an “inspector” from MOPAR can come out and verify the damaged “parts” only for Me to told “sorry, we cannot honor this agreement because the costs of parts and labor outweigh the value of the vehicle” so they will offer the actual value of the vehicle (with a blown engine factored in) minus $1,200.00. NONE of the Sales Manager(s) were helpful nor were they empathetic to my situation, the Service Department VP (Mike Johnson) pretty much brushed me off and at the end of our conversation I felt intimidated and THREATENED. I have NOT received a return call from the dealerships GM/VP of Sales (Shawn Frick). I’ve been given the run around and pretty much told to take the loss and move on by all parties including the Service Manager and the person wrote the vehicle up for inspection (Brian). The ONLY acceptable resolution for me would have been to eat the cost of the tear down ($1,200) have MOPAR come out and inspect the vehicle, they ARE going to refuse to honor the agreement, cut me a check for the remaining value of the vehicle, and I move on. My Wife had intent on purchasing another vehicle, from Tate Dodge (NEW) but at this point I would advise ANYONE considering purchasing used cars (or NEW) from Tate, Tate Dodge, Tate Certified, or Tate Used Cars. If you do, DO NOT PURCHASE THE MOPAR VEHICLE PROTECTION, it is a bogus and misleading product to say the least. Do yourselves a favor and avoid the Tate brand AT ALL COSTS. They are misleading, dishonest, crooked sales and service opportunists. They have upset myself, and my family to the point that every avenue and opportunity I have available I will post reviews and complaints up to and including the MEDIA. I have reached out to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, THE FTC, RIP OFF REPORTS, SOCIAL MEDIA, ANY AND ALL MEANS TO EXPOSE TATE DODGE WILL BE USED TO EXPOSE THEIR BAD BEHAVIOR TOWARDS CONSUMERS. I nor ANY person/family should purchase a vehicle from people like this and get treated as I have. You were glad when I walked in the door with $9,000.00 CASH and purchased this vehicle that I have had LESS THAN a year, you should be glad and willing to stand by your vehicles and not play these games.AVOID AVOID AVOIDAnthony Howard

I brought my 2008 Jeep Cherokee in for an ignition switch recall. I was help by a service person by the name of Stacy, who was nice when I spoke with her the first time. The second day I came in to check on the status of my vehicle,and she was very rude to me. She told me that the part came in and the technician is working on it, I told her I will be back. I came back an hour later, and she still was very rude. The truck had been completed, and I ask for my keys, she says I dont have them. I waited, and another service person came to talk to me, and told me that they did a diagnostic test. My truck never moved from the spot were it was dropped off by the tow truck. I would never by a vehicle from this place,If you have to spend your money, spend it some where else.

Just purchased a 2019 Ram 1500. Lee was our salesmen. He did a fantastic job getting the vehicle that I wanted, and was very knowledgeable with all of the features. Slate was the sales manager. He did a great job working with me to get to a price where I was satisfied. Ralph did the final financial paperwork. To preface: I purchased my vehicle at Tate a couple of years ago and have not needed a lot of service done until I have started to require the 30k recommended maintenance, etc. Im gonna go ahead and call BS on any positive experience related to the parts department, if any are listed recently. I called about ordering tires (Saturday, Mar 9, 2019) and the phone was picked up by someone who sounded like they were still half asleep. When I asked about the best course of action to take to order them, they kept asking my size and brand that I wanted, rather than make or model. I dont work for Jeep. I dont care as long as the tires fit my vehicle. If I wanted to look that deeply into it, I would do the work myself rather than deal with someone who obviously doesnt seem to care about selling a product or service. Im gonna go ahead and get my vehicle serviced by anyone, but this establishment.
