The entire process, from Paul determining the quote to Noel and his crew placing the last box into our rental home, was a very smooth experience. It was a delight to work with the teams from Ray Moving. It was obvious that each individual took their duties seriously. The professionalism from the staff in the office to the care that was taken to pack and physically move our belongings, was beyond my expectations and very organized. I will quickly call Ray Moving for our next move. I appreciate all of the hard work and physical assistance, organization, honesty, laughter and emotional support during such a huge adventure!

We booked a move a MONTH in advance being very specific on the EXACT date we needed because we were flying half way across the country to help a mentally challenged family member with this move. My husband dealt with Bill, the sales manager and had an email that we were confirmed since it was for a Saturday in August (I understand that its the busiest move day of the week in probably the busiest month) but we never heard from the moving coordinator - didnt even know some girl in the office should have called us before the day of. We had no contact with anyone but Bill so we fly in to NC late on Friday night and proceed to call them Saturday morning to find out what time they were coming. It was a small, local move - probably a 2-hour job. We made several phone calls, left messages, etc. No one was answering the phone in the office - on a Saturday morning in the busiest month?? We finally got a hold of Bill - he was out doing an estimate an hour away and said he didnt know what happened but he would try to find out. You want to know what happened? NOTHING happened!! No One called us (after Larry spoke to Bill 2-3 times), we got no reply to our emails or voicemails either. Yall totally blew us off! We had ONE day to make this move happen since we had a flight home the next day. About 1 pm, I gave up and started calling other movers. After a few calls, I got a great guy who despite having a full schedule that day, once he heard our story, he talked to his moving crew and they agreed to help us out. Of course, we had to wait until their other scheduled jobs were done which totally stressed out my disabled brother-in-law because his move did not happen until 9:30 PM Saturday night because Ray Moving and Storage totally blew us off. Well, actually we did get a message Saturday night that they would be in touch with us the next day about our move but, of course, they never did. We heard NOTHING. No excuses, no apology, nothing! Thank goodness this other mover came through and despite moving until almost midnight, we got it done and flew home the next day getting at least that accomplished despite the stress on our family.

Overall a good experience. A couple of things were forgotten (refrigerator door handles, desk assembly) but they were corrected the next day. The guys were very careful and thoughtful about our furniture and worked efficiently to get everything done. I feel like it was a good value for having all of our furniture moved. We would use Ray Moving and Storage again in the future.

Our multiple experiences with Ray Moving were all just excellent. Rhonda was thorough, professional, and also very caring during three separate moves within a span of just a couple of months. The second two involved pickup at one location and delivery to multiple locations, both in town and out of town. We are also storing some furniture in the company warehouse for several months. I found the gentlemen who helped with the moves most courteous, careful, friendly, and accommodating.

Just completed a move with Mayflower from Raleigh to Massachusetts.Bryce Koontz is a nice gentleman to work with who gave me an accurate estimate and price guarantee.Jessica who coordinated the move was responsiveMy driver of my stuff was Rich from All Points who is Mayflowers contract with the area. This man was extremely Thorough, Nice, and made my move Very Easy when it came to my belongings. I had no issue with this.My issue was with my car transport.I have a 2018 Chevy Bolt And had left 172 miles of battery left. I signed a contract to have my car directly picked up from my rental and delivered to my new address in Massachusetts.I had scheduled this about 2 weeks prior when on Moving day, Jessica informs me that some random employees from her office will have to drive my car from Raleigh to Greensboro because the truck Driver Eric does not want to follow the contract and insisted that the customer drop the car off 1.5 hours away from my rental. I reluctantly agreed and Jessica sent employees in a van to come to my rental. I clearly said “ this car is electric and the battery has 172 miles on it so you should only need about 70 miles to get to Greensboro”. The two employees left with the vehicle. As moved up to Massachusetts, My stuff with Rich went very well.My stuff arrived in very little wait time.My car arrived the following Tuesday.Never a call from the driver of the truck transporting my call until the moment he arrives not on my street, but on the main cross street, which is a school where he decides to call a flat bed truck to unload my vehicle while blocking traffic for school release.Mind you it’s 15 degrees out and a wind storm of 20 miles per hour. Being a sunny day, I agree to meet my car and Eric about .5 miles down the road.I walk and arrive to my vehicle being unloaded in the middle of the street with cars honking.Being in a rush to get my vehicle, I sign off on the paper work. No Tip was given for this poor service.Unfortunately when I got in the vehicle, my battery was dead. Someone either drove my vehicle 172 miles or left the heater on blast for 36 hours for that to happen in my electric vehicle.I had to call AAA to have my car towed from that location to the Fire Department 1 mile away who has a charging station. I had to wait 2 hrs to at least get my tank about half full with green energy. As far as belongings, I would recommend Ray Moving with Mayflower Howevwr do not trust them with your car.

Aside from truck issues prior to delivery, Izzy and his helper did a great job unloading and placing our belongings where requested. All of our furniture were wrapped and taped, and placed in the truck with care as to not do any damage. They took extreme care handling our boxes and furniture (some of which were extremely heavy), and did not scratch, dent or ding any furniture, house walls or doors. We are very satisfied with Ray Moving and Storage and would highly recommend them.

They were absolutely incredible. They helped my son, who was by himself, pack up his home. They arrived when they said they would...and on the way to his new home in Massachusetts they kept him abreast of when they would be arriving. They told us what the fee would be....and it never changed as some companies are known to do. Everything was delivered in perfect condition. They were extremely professional and my sons move from No Carolina to Mass was painless. One issue..tho...we were not that happy with the car transport company they recommended..but think bec they were so on the ball..it made the car company pale by comparison.Thank you Rays!

We received a quote from Bryce who came highly recommended. He was personable and thorough in his inspection and said he would quote on the high end so there would be no surprises. The team contracted consisted of two packers and three movers The packing team arrived at the same time as the movers and started at 10am. The packing team finished at noon and although the packing was not organized (one shoe in a different box than the other, etc.) was done well. The move team consisted of one fairly young man and one near retirement and one clearly beyond retirement age. I specifically asked that they not include an elderly mover as part of the actual move team as he was unable to help the other two and the move took much longer than had we had three physically able movers. The truck sent was not a flatbed large enough to hand our goods, and I trust Bryces assessment of the type of truck needed for the volume of goods; however, the move team were not able to pack all the goods and my husband was forced to both help with the move and transport quite a bit of the goods unexpectedly in four separate trips.I specifically asked if the move team would dismantle and reassemble the beds. I was advised that they would. They did not bring proper tools for the job and did not reassemble the beds at the delivery home. They put the wrong pieces together to the extent they did any assembly and left the screws, slats and other pieces under the beds and out of sight so it appeared they were assembled. There is minor damage to the hardwood floors in the new home and this is due to carelessness as they did place mats on the floors.I will say that the team was very friendly and helpful, asking lots of questions throughout the process, but not following the instruction given. As they are the professionals we left the decisions to them.I reached out to Bryce to follow up twice and received an initial response that they would be out to assess the floor damage but no such contact occurred, nor have I heard from Ray Moving (an affiliate of Mayflower ) or Mayflower regarding this issue. We were charged $300 more than the quote! I will not be using Mayflower again.

Rays & Mayflower were great during our move from NC to MD. We had to change our schedule multiple times and they worked with us every time to find the best dates. Our estimator was willing to work around our schedule and did a thorough job. Both the packing and moving crews were exceptional.

We hired Ray Moving & Storage for our move from Greensboro to Salisbury in November 2015. On the day of our move, the driver of the moving truck got the truck stuck in the front yard of our rental property. After hours of trying to get the truck unstuck, a tow truck was called and the truck was towed. This resulted in over $400 in damages to our landlords property, which the company agreed to pay. As of March, two months after the official claim was filed, the company that repaired the yard damage has not been paid. Additionally, several items of our personal property were damaged. Our official claim included solid wood bedroom furniture was chipped and dented, a laundry sorter bag was ripped, and the ice maker of our fridge ultimately had to be replaced. Prior to filing the claim, I was lead to believe that this would all be taken care of after submitting the proper paperwork. Once the official claim was submitted, it was almost two months before we received a response, despite multiple emails, and the ultimate response denied the majority of our claim. Despite the fact that the companys movers used our ice maker prior to loading up our fridge, the company is denying any responsibility of damaging it and refuses to cover the cost of the repairs. They reference a technicality in their contract related to mechanical issues and will not pay because we did not allow them to inspect the damaged ice maker prior to having it replaced, although we still have the damaged ice maker and have offered for it to be inspected. The requirement of this type of inspection was never explained to us other than any supposedly fine print in their contract that we have no record of. The company refuses to cover the claim, and as I mentioned earlier, has still not paid the landscaping company that repaired the damaged yard back in November.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT!What a joke. Driver yelled and screamed at me practically throughout the entire move, yelled some more to pressure me to signing all the paperwork without reading it (glad I stood my ground, they tried charging me $400-500 more than my quote). They half-heartedly tried to get my couch into my apartment and when they couldnt do it in five minutes, they left it abandoned in the hallway. They also refused to carry the couch maybe ten feet across the parking lot into a storage unit to get it out of the hallway. (By the way, apartment maintenance later came out and got my couch into my apartment on the second try). Oh, and now that theyve already charged payment, cant get anyone on the phone because they dont care. I didnt pay an arm and a leg for such horrible service. What a nightmare. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! As someone who has had her fair share of issues with movers in the past (including people who have charged my credit card almost twice without telling me because they made an accounting error), this was by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had. You will be upset, stressed, yelled at, and ignored on your moving day if you decide to go with Ray Moving & Storage.
