Overall the experience was good. The office team member was pleasant and thorough. Maybe a little too talkative for me personally. The moving team was very friendly, funny, and hardworking. We did experience some minor damages on some of our items though: a dent on our mini fridge, long scratch on a computer desk, and shallow cut on the corner of a family-made coffee table. It is because these items that that I could not give a 5 star review.

I used two men and a truck to move this week. One of the movers had a strong smell of weed. I then saw him smoking in the truck as he pulled up to the new location.I was promised a cover for my mattress, they didnt have the right size and not only that, they allowed it to hit the ground, which left mud stains on it.They chipped several of my items, despite putting wrapping on them. By the end of the process, I had to stand and make sure they entered and exited every room without hitting anything. They almost knocked some very expensive sound and keyboard equipment, I caught it just on time. They scratched my bicycle on entering the new location. They also didnt listen when I tried to explain what furniture should go first and last to make the move to the new location easier. This made the process stressful and difficult. The dropped two boxes of books on wet grass, luckily, the boxes were sealed and the water didnt filter through.Overall, it was relatively cheap but I was very disappointed in their professionalism. Based on this, I would not use them again and I would not recommend them. They left several items behind at the old location, I had to go back and collect them myself.

Great experience. Matt is super friendly setting up the job. The movers showed up in the agreed time window, after alerting they were en route. They wrapped the furniture carefully and never touched the newly painted walls. They didnt waste any time, and were very fair about billing. We will use them for all our moves in the future, as we will have short term rentals to furnish on a regular basis as the business grows.

I would not use this business for a move. The move out, storage, and move in process was extremely stressful, and the final cost three times the estimation. Movers are extremely rough on items. Many pieces of furniture damaged. The furniture restoration person is not competent. We ended up hiring our own out of pocket. We made the mistake of allowing the movers to use our restroom, which was treated poorly. Overall, extremely unprofessional. Get a company that does on-site estimates.

Unfortunately after multiple calls I gave up on hearing back from them. Hopefully I will hear back from them after this review. The movers, while polite, did not tape down my dresser drawers. Which led to the drawers falling out onto the concrete and chipping off the laminate wood. Thankfully I watched it happen from my car, because they hid the damaged part of the dresser behind other furniture in my storage unit. They did not mention it to me and simply asked if had any questions- uh yes what happened to my dresser?Ultimately no big deal at that point- I paid extra for the replacement policy, so we signed the documents about replacement and I was told to call the office about getting it fixed. Called multiple times, never got someone, so I left a message. No one called me back. So I call again but ask to speak to someone different who finally connects me to who is supposed to be dealing with my repair. He gives me the number of the repair guy, who after looking at the photos, said the drawers could be replaced for cheaper than he could repair them (as they werent solid wood, just laminated coating). Well I called back MULTIPLE times about getting payment to buy replacement parts, and of course no one ever got back to me. Thankfully the parts werent expensive so I replaced them on my own, but once your move is done, they dont care to actually be liable for any damages and wont return your calls. Not even for less than $100 in damages. (Also, cmon this damage really shouldnt have happened in the first place). I dont know why the reviews are so great, their customer service sucks after you set up the move with sales. Dont listen to the reviews that didnt have damage happen- listen to the reviews telling you how they handle when damage DOES happen- that is much more telling.

I could not recommend the services of this company highly enough. This was my first time ever hiring out movers, and the service I received from Amos and Peters was beyond what I expected. They were friendly, kind, and answered all of my many questions with an abundance of patience.I had no idea how fast moving could be until I hired these two to help out. I was moving from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom here in town, and the entire process was over before lunchtime, including moving several heavy items such as my couch and my many, many instruments. Everything was handled with the utmost care and concern, and while the company offered insurance for breakable items, nothing had so much as a scratch on it. These guys are truly professionals, and if youre looking to move, look no further than Two Men and a Truck - and make sure to ask for Amos and Peters.

Tyra in the front office was very professional and friendly. Thorough with all follow through and answered all my questions. She was very accommodating, as I had to reschedule the move due to last minute schedule changes with work. Then, I added another stop last minute due to being able to pick up a large piece of family furniture that I didnt know was still around until after setting everything up with Tyra. The day of the move, of was called as promised when the guys were about 15 minutes out. Again, with three scheduled stops, I felt it was more efficient to change the start location to a storage unit around the corner. Peters agreed and said no problem, were on our way.I had one piece, that has been in the family ever since I can remember. Its fragile and Peters and Wimbly were very thorough and careful with wrapping, moving and loading the piece. I sincerely appreciated that they recognized the sentimental value alone! They kept me updated with the schedule the entire day, as Peters and Wimbly needed to stay local and would be handing things off to two replacements that could make the trip East. Before heading out, they communicated everything, including taking extra care of the antique.Todd was with me all day and then Dominique and Horace arrived. They were fast and efficient with getting the balance of the truck loaded and on our way.Dominique went over the stop at the weigh station with me and kept me updated on their progress to my destination. I went ahead and unpacked my car until they arrived. All of the gentlemen were as friendly, patient and kind as if we had known each other for years!Moving is stressful and add the heat and humidity, it can make for a very long and exhausting day. These guys were laid back and got the job done fast and efficient. It could not have gone any smoother.I appreciate everyone involved, from Tyra with the initial call and booking and then my last minute changes, to the friendly service with a smile from Peters, Wimbly, Dominque, Horace and Todd! Thank you all.Best Regards!

This experience deserves no stars, from start to finish. Two Men and a Truck (Patterson St, Greensboro) provided an estimate to move our home (no packing) for $1050-$1200. Two men arrived on time at 9am on June 9, the day of our move. Their first response was Oh my gosh, this is a lot of stuff. Youve got so much stuff. They proceeded to complain and stand around for about an hour, wandering room to room, assessing. When they finally got going, they moved at a snails pace.Eventually, they called in 3 more people to help them. My husband and I watched as 3 people would watch 2 other people move a dresser onto a truck. This happened all day. Standing around. No sense of urgency. There was no one in charge of this group of people. They continued to complain because we had a piano, because we had a safe--all of which was detailed up front when we spoke to the estimator. They honestly appeared as if they had never moved anything before. We called their supervisor early on in the day when all of this started, sent pictures of the guys just standing around, and told him we were not paying by the hour for them to stand around and move like it hurt them. He apologized. We continued to call him as the day wore on and got worse. They finally stopped moving items at 11:45pm. They had not moved everything, but we couldnt take any more of it. The supervisor had told us on the phone not to pay that night and that the general manager would be calling us to rectify the situation. The movers tried to charge us $2200 b/c of the hourly rate--over double the low-end of our quote. We waited for the general manager to call and he never did. FInally, we get a call on August 4, asking why we havent paid. My husband then goes into the whole saga again, saying that they were supposed to be in touch with us and that we were told not to pay until we heard from him. He says he will look into this further and get back to us. He never did.Fast forward to yesterday, November 22, and we get a COLLECTION NOTICE in the mail for $2200. The GM never called us, we were NEVER once invoiced for the amount owed, and yet, they have turned an amount over to collections. My husband spoke with the GM this morning and he was not apologetic and was actually kind of a jerk about it.This company has the absolute WORST customer service from start to finish. There may be good locations, but this one isnt it. My grandmothers piano was broken, a hole punched in a wall, and overall the movers were just unprofessional and seemingly inexperienced. And the company doesnt care, either. Avoid them!!!You can see in the pics I attached the standing around that occurred that day...standing around watching others bring a dresser down the stairs, standing around watching them load it on the truck. This happened all day and is why it took them from 9am-11:45pm to move packed contents of our home--and they didnt even move the whole house.

About a month ago I filled out the online quote. Crickets. Yesterday I called and spoke with Greg (I believe that was his name). I inquired about a moving service and he didn’t know anything about it and said he would need to call me back. He did call within 5 minutes and said they did not offer that service. I told him that the website says you do. Then he said it was only for “like if you’re going out west or Florida” I reiterated what I had said previously which was I am going to Florida. We went back and forth for a bit and he kept attempting to talk me out of the service with travel fees and I was confused because...it’s my money so why did he care what I spent it on? Finally I get him to agree to start a quote and he says we would need to do an inventory. I informed him that I had done that a month ago so he pulls the quote. Oh it looks like Stephanie (Samantha?something with an S ??) has been working with you so I can’t help you. I tell him I have no idea who that is and no one has contacted me. He says sorry I can’t help and hung up.I emailed corporate for help. Nothing. I filled out another online quote. Nothing.Who runs a business like this? Moving from south Virginia to central Florida seems like it would be a decent amount of profit but I guess I’ll be renting a Uhaul and driving myself home. ✌🏽✌🏽

This was by far, the WORST experience we have ever had with moving. I feel like these people swindled both our time and money - they are obviously not professionals on the topic of packing and moving; from our interactions with them, theyve proven that they have no idea what theyre doing. They were NINE HOURS past their estimated time-and were still not done by the end of the even delayed time. They damaged $1400 of our property packing and moving- And have yet to address all our damages TWO months from our move - despite our purchasing of the higher grade Full Valuation Insurance.Details below.1) We requested a full pack and move. They were professional on coming by and giving us a fair estimate. The time and estimated costs were similar to the other three companies that we talked to and we felt their responsiveness was a good sign.2) Moving Day - their estimate was for THREE hours of packing and up to 8-12 hours for packing and moving (we were moving 15 minutes driving within the city). It took them from 8AM to 9PM to pack (13 HOURS OF PACKING, by the end, we were helping them pack). They were STILL NOT DONE PACKING BY 9 PM. We had to request the men to move the stuff theyve already packed to our new place so that we dont get stranded with no place to live or sleep overnight. They took until 1AM to get the stuff that was packed into our new place.3) There were still a bunch of stuff that we had to pack later ourselves. They were reasonable enough to have people move the remaining boxes we packed ourselves over to our new place.4) Damage was around $1400 of our property (including a book case that they completely destroyed and just left outside the door of our lower floor neighbor, without telling us; I just happened to have stumbled upon it walking downstairs). We bought the Full Valuation Insurance Warranty, which guaranteed full value replacement or repair up to $22,000. Its been 2 months. So far, theyve fixed one thing - the shattered corners of one of our night stands. As far as reimbursing us or replacing for us the electronics, kitchen supplies, book cases, and art work; we just keep emailing them, and they just keep telling us theyre gonna do something about it - and not.Dont use these people.

I would say wow its hot, each guy at different times would say things like sweating is good for the body or sweat doesnt hurt. Cant sat enough about the crew; Alex, Lafayette and Deandre but would like to thank them for making our move such a pleasant experience. Bravo guys, job very well done!!!

In May 2016, I paid this company at this location to pack and move my things out of state. Little did I know that it was the worst decision I had ever made by hiring them. The first day they packed up all my household items, then on the second day they put them in their truck, then they went back to the warehouse. The third day they were supposed to deliver to my new location. They never showed up.They showed up the fourth day, with a lame story about their truck breaking down at the warehouse. They not only inconvenienced me by the additional expense incurred by me for staying another night at the motel, but it turned out a few months later when I had gotten my things from storage moved to my house that 80% of everything I owned was gone. The people that worked in the warehouse the day they did not show up were the ones that stole everything I owned!Never trust all the reviews that you read each Two Men and a Truck are individually owned and operated. When I contacted the police to file a report, the detective said a new owner bought them out on June 1, 2016, and they destroyed all previous records when they took over.I would advise anyone that will move out of state to look for a reliable moving company, and also pack your own things if you can.I moved for a job so I did not have time to investigate different moving companies, but I can say dealing with this franchise was the worst experience of my life. It has cost me thousands of dollars in lost hours documenting items, locating receipts for purchases I made for the police report and insurance company, plus lost $3000. which is not reimbursed by insurance for packing material or paying them to pack. Also some things were broken and insurance doesnt pay for that either.I will need to start all over again buying all the necessities for my home. They took clothes, books, kitchen items, sewing basket, living room items, music boxes, pens, etc anything they could sell on eBay fast or keep for their own use! They also steal books and sell them on Amazon or eBay!Good luck on your move!

They do not follow instructions. Actually, the one doing the most of the packing was my landlady and me. They sent a guy and a girl. The girl did all the work while the guy just went twice to the truck to pick up 10 boxes and a 1# wrapping paper. When I called to complain about the service that they provide, I learned that in between the papers that I signed prior they started to work was their survey and they said that I was satisfied; which, I am not. They over price for their work especially when they just stand there overseeing me and not working. When I complain about it they did not even apologize neither offer a discount.Watch out. Take pictures of their work, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING AT FRONT. If I could rate them a 0 (zero) stars, I would. I dont recommend them even to my worse enemy.

Just let me start by saying that ALL Two Men and a Truck locations are created equal. I have used Two Men and a Truck ( Durham and Greensboro locations) several times for different moves and was generally satisfied with the results. This last moves was completed by the Patterson Street location. My items were placed in the storage facility stored at the Patterson Street warehouse as I had moved out of stated and didnt need to bring along my household items. I contacted the office to set up to have my belongings moved from their storage to a different location and spoke with a member of the office staff named, Tammy. She was able to get me set up with the date and time of when the movers would deliver my items to my new location. On the morning of the move, there was no truck. I contacted the office and was given a story that the movers were moving someone else and would be at my location between 12-12:30 PM. I explained that I was in town from Northern Virginia and was given a 10 AM meeting time. I was told that I was given a window of when the delivery would be made and not a definite time. I explained that I was told that the items would be packed the night before and delivered the following morning at 10 AM. I was then told to go do some errands! After the movers came with my stuff, they were very nice and apologetic about getting there late. While unloading my items, the movers notice some of my items were damaged and was very apologetic about that. They contacted their manager to inform them of the damage items. At the end of the move, I was informed that someone would be in touch with my regarding the damage and was informed that the company would replace the damaged item or would refund for the value of the item. That was on 8/18/17 and as of 9/8/17, I had not heard from anyone at Two Men and a Truck. On 9/9/17, I contacted Two Men and a Truck as they had debited my account for a service that I was no longer using and spoke with Tammy, again. I explained to her what happened and she stated that I would need to speak with John Coffer (may be spelling the name wrong). She took my contact information and said that she would make sure that he called me on Monday. Monday morning into noon, no call from John. I contacted Two men and Truck again and asked if the message was given to John and was told that it was. I told Tammy, again, that he hadnt called. I was told that he was now at lunch and she would have him to call me back. Tammy eventually called me back stating that the funds had been refunded back to my account. I asked about my damaged property and was asked about pictures. I explained that the movers had returned to the office with the damaged property but a damage report was filed. Tammy informed me that she would call me back after she located the paperwork. It is not 24 hours and I have not heard back from Tammy. I do have my copy if they need it!! I have left messages for John and he has yet to call me back. I feel that they are not trying to pay for the damaged items and if this is not the case, they could at least pick up the phone and call!! I will never use this particular location again!!

I should begin by noting that the actual movers were professional and courteous. Unfortunately that was the only high point.I called 2-3 weeks in advance to get an estimate and tentatively set an appointment. About five days prior to my move date Id yet to receive any email confirmation and called to check in. They informed me that I was not on the schedule, but that they would put me down as planned. I requested an email to make sure we were on the same page. Toward the end of the day I still had no email and called once again. This time I spoke with yet another rep who once again informed me that I was not on the schedule.I once again asked for an email, and this time did receive and email estimate. The movers arrived somewhat on time a few days later. They asked me to sign an estimate an I was shocked to learn that it was nearly $1400 higher than the provided estimate. This was for a one bedroom apartment move of 90 miles!Again, the movers themselves were nice and offered to call and attempt to resolve. Apparently the manager didnt realize I could hear him and all but call me a liar even after I provided the only estimate Id received. The drivers were hung up on and proceeded to call his supervisor for escalation. They advised that they would honor the initial rate.A few minutes late the prior manager called again and told them that we would have to meet somewhere in the middle. With them already at my apartment and my plans on the line I went ahead with the move. Meanwhile this was an hourly move and wed already wasted nearly an hour negotiating. When they finished up they called the same manager to process my card and he informed that there would be an additional delivery fee of $150, adding further insult.I would strongly avoid using the Greensboro office unless youre prepared to pay significantly more than the quoted price.

No one showed up to give an estimate. When I called they made a couple of excuses and then said they forgot to put it on the books. I got off work and drove thirty miles to meet them. They did not offer any resolution. Apparently they dont need business. Dont think I would feel comfortable with them moving my stuff.

Had an appointment scheduled for an estimate. No one showed up nor called when the time had passed. I called the office and they informed me that the estimator got caught up with another customer. They informed me he would arrive between 12:00-12:30. Of course, no show after 12:30. I called back, same story. Then offered to reschedule. I told them not to bother. How does a company grow by turning away business?

Two Men And A Truck of Greensboro moved me from Sanford NC to Liberty NC. The two men that came to my house were both very courteous and professional. I was very pleased with the office staff that scheduled my move and the entire process of the move. Thanks for taking a lot of stress out of a very stressful situation.

DeAndre and his team did an EXCELLENT job. They arrived at the promised time and completed the load up, move and unload within the estimated time frame with nothing broken or damaged. The crew was courteous and professional and made my daughter and I very comfortable during what can be a stressful experience. DeAndre, in particular, demonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills in the way he interacted with us and his crew. I would not hesitate using DeAndre and team on a future move !!

Office team was prompt. The moving team was different. They first stated that they could pack all my property on their truck. They left half my property behind saying everything else was too fragile and their truck was already filled to the max.I informed the office shortly afterwards, and theybsaid that more should have been done on the initial move. They sent another team to move the remaining items at no additional cost.

If they damage anything, good luck cause you’re on your ownI will never use them again and I suggest you dont either. First off when I initially got a quote from them, I asked about the military discount because my fellow Marines who used them in the past mentioned they offered a 10% discount. But I was dont they dont. I asked a second time if they were sure because others told me they received one. They told me they no longer offer that discount. How do you stop giving a Military discount? But ok, I didnt press the issue. I went forward with the move. Prior to leaving the new house, the movers went over the paperwork and convinced me to pay for additional insurance just in case something got damaged. So I did.It was a pretty hot day and even though the movers were young guys, much younger than me and I’m a disabled vet that hired movers for a reason because I couldn’t do any heavy lifting. I still had to give them a hand. They had to lift some pretty heavy furniture over a porch through a tight door and ended up dragging it on the sides and now my year old furniture looks like 10 year old furniture. I have dark marks on all the sides, chipped feet on the bottom; my coffee table has a chip, a lamp with a cracked bottom, the black covering underneath both the couch and sofa were partially tore off so I had to tear it completely off and throw it away.I contacted them and made them aware of the damage. I also provided pictures. I got an email back immediately saying the manager Kevin would be contacting me within 24 hours. 24 hours went by, 48, 72 went by but no call. I emailed Matt again, the guy who originally set up my move and told me Kevin would be calling me. He says Kevin had been out of the office; he apologized and said he would be calling me that afternoon. Guess what? No call. The next day, I called myself and got his voicemail. I asked to speak with a different manager and was sent to his voicemail. Kevin finally called me back a few hours later. I told him about the damage and it felt like he thought I was making it all up. Hell thats why I sent the pictures. He then tells me he would have his furniture repair guy contact me to set up a time to come see what he could do. Furniture repair guy? really? But ok I asked what if it cant repair it to look like it did before the move. He didnt really give me a straight answer. He asks what my new address was. I say, you guys moved me from Greensboro, NC to Gastonia, NC. Im in Gastonia now. He goes, “Oh I didnt know that. Im not sure we can help, not sure we have a guy in Gastonia but let me look into and Ill give you a callback tomorrow. Well guess what? Still no call. They moved me on June 4th. It’s now the 25th. I don’t expect this to ever get resolved and I consider my furniture and the moving costs (these guys are NOT cheap) to be a complete loss. I don’t write reviews but felt I should in this case so my fellow servicemen don’t make the mistake I did by using Two Men and a Truck.
