We had the best experience with Thomas! He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to help up. We got a great boat and since we were first time boat owners he made sure we knew exactly what to do. 10/10 recommend Captain Thomas from Marine Max!
At first we started off on a bumpy road, however, Scott and his crew were able to rectify any issues we had. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Thank you!
Awesome operation on all levels! Thanks to the Service department for the help they gave us over this past weekend which helped to get my family off safely to a great weekend on Jocassee. Good folks all around 100%
Thomas Tallon and the staff at Marine Max have been outstanding in the purchase of all my boating needs. They went above and beyond to help me in the process. I highly recommend anyone to go see them that is looking to buy a boat or any other boating needs.
I brought my old boat to Marine Max after being turned down elsewhere for the age and style of motor on my boat. Thats when I found Dave Stake and his team at Marine Max Greenville. Dave was incredible to work with, he had no trouble with my boat being old. He jumped right to work and got my problems figured out. A big thank you to his technicians Josh and Peter! They really took the time to go through everything to make sure it was safe and my family could enjoy our time on the water. I would highly recommend Dave and his team in the service department to anyone who needs repairs. Great experience all around and look forward to possibly buying a new boat down the road!
MarineMax Halls Marina Greenville.Where do I begin? These guys are beyond excellent. Working through MarineMax Lake Wylie and Greenville Ive purchased a total of 5 boats. The last one is an XT23 Mastercraft.I feel like Ive only ever received the fairest of deals purchasing from this organization. Its about creating an experience and a repeat customer not a one and done sale. The follow up they provide after the purchase is what really makes them standout. The incredible service and follow up they provide is outstanding.Theyre all real boat lovers and know how important it is to get you in the right boat and on the water fast.I Recently had some unfortunate damage done to the Mastercraft and David Stake along with his expert shop guys in Greenville went above and beyond to repair the boat and get me back on the water.I cannot thank David Stake and his team enough for the work theyve done and also would like to thank Carl the GM at the Halls Lake Wylie location as well.If you plan on buying a boat anytime soon these are the guys I recommend!
Our end-to-end experience with MarineMax in Greenville continues to be nothing short of spectacular. From the time we walked in the door, ordered a new MasterCraft, took delivery, and worked through a few issues the Greenville team was outstanding ! The boat came in on time, as ordered, and was delivered to our home. Encountered a small issue that the Greenville team quickly and expertly mitigated (things happen ... and its how folks react that is important). While the Greenville team was great, Scott was simply the best and we highly recommend working directly with him on sales, support, and/or anything involved with boats. His knowledge is expert, follow-up is second to none, demonstrates ownership behavior, and sincerely cares. He supported us throughout the process and not only delivered the boat but also taught us how to wave board (who else does that).Highly recommend MarineMax Greenville, MasterCraft, and specifically Scott Ryerson.Randy
So far so good. Staff very professional. Looks like they can do all your service needs. Will post more after pick up of boat.
Great experience buying our boat here. We bought it long distance and everything was handled perfectly over the phone. When we arrived to pick it up, the boat was beautiful, our sales rep Tee went thru everything and it was a great all around purchase experience.
Bought a new Yamaha boat here and could not be more impressed with the experience. Our sales rep Tee Evans was a pleasure to deal with. Very laid back, low pressure, and patiently tolerated many phone calls from me asking questions. The delivery of the boat was also very impressive. Scott spent a lot of time going over the boat with my wife and I. I even had a concern after the sale. I called Tee on his cell phone and sent him a picture of what I was worried about. He got back to me right away. Ask for Tee, you wont be disappointed.
Could not ask for a better dealer to work with, bought a used boat that came from another Marine Max dealer that had issues. Scott and his team made sure everything was 100% fixed and ready for the lake and did it without any delays. The whole crew from sales to service is A++, thanks guys.
Spoke with Scott in regards to a fiasco another boat store did to us. Very helpful, kind, and quick to send us information. These are professional people who know what they are doing! QUALITY at its Best!Just left today after picking the boat up. Excellent customer service. They go above and beyond to get you in the boat and on the water. Thank you Scott and Tee. Be sure to call to make an appointment if you’re looking to buy. This way you can get the attention you need. And, will not be disappointed buying your boat here. They like to give individual attention so appointments are great!!
Had so problems with my service and Scott the service manager reached out and is making things right.
Last week, we left a desperate message for the service department, describing how we were unable to get our boat to start. Given that it was late on a Saturday afternoon and given that the service department was surely slammed in the middle of summer, we figured no one would call us back until Tuesday. To our pleasant surprise, Dave promptly called us back and was super friendly (despite it being the very end of his work week). He helped us troubleshoot the problem and advised us what part to purchase (no, it wasnt the battery). We are so grateful for his ready expertise and will definitely use MarineMax Hall for all our future service needs.
Great service and communication. Scott Ryerson went above and beyond in working with us during the purchase process. Scott communicated the with us on almost a daily basis to keep us updated throughout the buying process. If you are in the market for a new boat - call Scott Ryerson at MarineMax!
I have been working closely with an amazing (and patient) salesman at MarineMax for several months now while we look for the perfect family boat. They have been so incredibly responsive, helpful, and friendly - not at all pushy - which has been SO refreshing! I appreciate his continued commitment to find the boat that is just right for us!
Great place to purchase a boat. Sales staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Service staff are top notch, quick to do the work needed and easy to work with.
An incredible experience working with Tee at the Greenville location! Helped me find the perfect boat for a first time boat owner. Will be going here for routine maintenance/checks! Very pleased!
Very friendly and helpful
Very nice and friendly staff. Prompt turn around times on service. Dropped off for boat oil change and they had it done within a few hours! Highly recommend.
Tee sold me a master craft NXT 22. It was smooth and simple. What a great salesman and dealership. I can’t say enough about these guys. Buy your next boat here. U will not be disappointed.
We have bought two boats from big T and have had the best experience and will always go back to marine max for all my boating needs
Terrible customer service. I walked into Marine Max last week to look at the different pontoons. I inquired online, never received any information back, so I decided to stop by. I drove an hour because of the reviews and the online options. I called to verify what time they closed and then called back later to see if I needed an appointment. The first time someone answered, the second two times no one answered. Walked in, and a lady said hello, and thats about as far as their customer service went. We walked around, looked at boats, got in boats and was never talked to again until I approached someone. I asked if I needed an appointment to look at boats outside and I was told no. He told us they have stickers on them with sold, price, specs etc. and that he would send someone...no one ever came out. We ended up leaving after about 15-20 minutes. I decided to take my money elsewhere and purchased a boat with another dealer.
Ive bought two center consoles from this dealership in Greenville SC. Both the sales and service experiences have been top notch. I keep my boats on Lake Keowee and have been very happy with service at my location as well as a recent service when I had to drop it off at the dealership after abusing it off the coast of NC. The general manager Scott is very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. The service manager is very accommodating and maintains a knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend MarineMax Greenville. Lets go boating!!
Great place to do business. Tee is awesome! Would highly recommend!!
I have modified my review favorably. David Stake reached out to me to coordinate on-site 100hr service for my 2018 Yamaha 242X. I understand the service department was extremely busy with fulfilling sales orders after boat shows. Work is complete. I am happy, and will be utilizing this service again for my boat at Hartwell in the future. Now, if you can do something about all this rain! Thanks David.
People wouldnt talk to you about a boat. The were all standing around and when I asked for help I was told not my job.Im getting ready to buy a new boat. Not from there!!
Sales and service was great! Especially Tee! Highly recommended!
This place is great. Please dont pay any attention to the one star reviews. The store has clearly posted instructions and information about being by appointment only during this Covid pandemic. My process was absolutely seamless. Came in, talked with Scott, and then went over all of the options that I had that would meet my needs. We took our time and he was able to point out a lot of the differences between the Bennington that I picked out and all of the other makes & models that I looked at from other dealers. From walking into the show room, to taking the boat out on a test drive/ride on the water, to signing the papers; it was less than a week. Once again huge thanks to Scott, Tee, and Brandon. I went to at least 5 other dealers, Marine Max was above and beyond all of them.
This is my second boat from Tee and I have a third ordered! They are all the great to work with including Brandon for financing, Jill and service too!
Very bad place to buy a boat if you looking for service. They promise you the world and only deliver lip service.Service department does not return phone calls and well actually tell you they dont want to service the boat that you just bought from them and that they dont have to.Worst company I have ever dealt with in my 66-year lifespan.Theyre part of the Marine Max franchise but even by calling MarineMax you cant get them to do anything because there are locally owned and operated
Just purchased a new Yamaha 195S today from MarineMax. I cannot say enough good things about our sales representative Thomas Tallon. From our point of initial contact over the phone to taking delivery of the boat, he made sure all of our needs where taken care of. My family are new to boating and Thomas spent a couple of hours on the lake with us going over every step of the boating process. This sealed the deal for us! We are extremely happy with our new boat and Thomas made this such a special experience for our family. He even answered calls and texts on his days off and even after hours. Customer service is a lost art but Thomas Tallon is a shining example of what customer service should look like. I recommend anyone looking for a new or used boat to look no further than MarineMax in Greenville. Be sure to ask for Thomas, I promise you will not be disappointed. Awesome experience! Thanks! Brandon in finance is also excellent and walked us effortlessly thru the purchase process. Outstanding team at MarineMax.
Terrible experience today. We walked in and wasn’t greeted ever. We were in there for 10-15 minutes before seeking out a sales person ourselves. After knocking on the OPEN door the two guys in the office looked at one another and one walked out of the office and said “What’s Up?” We proceeded to attempt to engage in conversation in which it was apparent he wasn’t interested in us or selling us a boat. It was very obvious that he had bigger and better things to do that day that didn’t include helping us. So we jumped in the car, cruised down I85, and gave Palmetto Boat Center our business. They were very accommodating and pleased to have us. Which I found it funny that MarineMax had no customers and didn’t want us there but Palmetto boat Center was crawling with customers and still delivered exceptional customers service.
Awesome folks to work with. My experience has been with the services team. They are very thorough and kept me updated on the progress of the maintenance. The pricing is very fair, especially for the quality and level of service provided. I strongly recommend these folks.
Weve had a phenomenal experience with Hall Marine. Our salesperson Tee Evans has been great to work with. He helped negotiate a fair deal and followed up both during and after the sale. Scott Holmes, the General Manager, has been exemplary in taking care of us as well. The whole team cares about the customer and loves boating just like we do. Highly recommend them.
They are hinding out my husband bike
We’ve purchased several boats from MarineMax and Tee! Highly recommend both sales and service.
I bought my boat from Marine Max back in 2003. To be honest, I have no idea who sold us our boat (Im sure he/she was great!). But I only had to work with them once. But for the past 16 years, Ive worked with Dave in the service department a lot! Not because the boat was bad, but because, as all boat owners know, stuff happens! Boats require maintenance, parts have to be replaced, etc. But my boat is still running and running great! And its because of Dave and the folks in the service department going above and beyond every time. Trust me, when you buy your boat at Marine Max, Dave and the service department folks will do their best to get you back in the water ASAP. Thanks Dave and crew for 16 years of hard work and great attitudes!
We bought a Bennington Tritoon there last summer. Did our 20 hour service last month and few days after I took my engine cover off to use our boat we discovered several cracks on our COWL. This cowl has never been off the boat and is always on the lift and out of the water when not in use.The cowl looked as if it was dropped as the damaged is pretty severe. We contacted Marine max, I was told they did not cause the damage nor were they responsible, the tech who came to my house to perform the oil change says he didn’t drop the cover and took photos back to get reviewed. After the photos were reviewed by marine max they recommended bringing the cowl to the store and they will send to Yamaha in Georgia so they can make a determination whether it’s a warranty defect.Nether less, a few days later I received an email that the damage was not a factory defect and I would either need to order a new cover or go through my insurance company. A new cowl cost $1500.00 and my deductible is $1000. I ended up biting the bullet and brought a new cowl and not file a claim on my insurance policy. What ever happen to customer service or the customer is right!!!Sad to say Marine Max should of handle this situation better as this is a brand new boat brought from them and they are the only ones to touch the boat and removing the cowl to perform the service.
The perfect place to purchase a boat. Great selection of boats and fantastic customer service!
I bought my boat and have had it serviced with these folks. Theyve been great at both ends. David is an honest, competent and friendly service manager. Jill in the front office is super friendly. The sales team still remembers me after 3 years. I highly recommend this group for all the folks at lake Keowee and Hartwell
I received nothing but top notch service and I’ll never buy a boat from anywhere else!! So down to earth and helpful!
They definitely know customer service! Scott and Danny did a great job through the whole process! My family decided to buy a boat together. They had to sell four people on this boat. It was not at all high pressure. They just answered question after question. Financing was done completely with phone and fax. They set us up with insurance agent. Danny spent plenty of time with us on a demo the day of delivery. He did not leave us until we were all comfortable with the operation of the boat! Hands down the best buying experience ever!
Great customer service. I have been there twice for parts and advice. I have a 1997 Sea Ray. The guys in parts treated me like have a new one. Researched and found the part I needed.
Truly one of the best buying experiences I have ever had. Thomas and Brandon have been beyond excellent to work with. I can’t recommend this dealership enough.
Thomas Tallon is the best salesman my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He - get this - actually listens to what you have to say and considers ones wants and needs before making a suggestion. He responds often same day for any questions and is willing to work with his own service team and act as a liaison for his customer if there is an issue after the sale. Dave (Stake? I think) and the team of service folks at Hall Marine know their stuff and keep in constant communication concerning the status of any repairs (yes - constant - even for those that are impatiently waiting to get back onto the lake)I highly doubt there is a marine sales and service team that matches that of the caliber of MarineMax of Greenville.
A huge thank you to our salesman Danny who went out of his way to make sure we had our boat for the holiday weekend! He showed us how to operate it and made us feel comfortable. Thank you also to all the staff who helped make it happen. We will definitely recommend Hall Marine to everybody!
I have been dealing with these people for many years now and I must say by far the best service you can ask for. The management team (Dave and Scott) along with their staff provide impeccable service. I only trust these guys when it comes to servicing my boat and frankly, are the only ones i will let touch it (other than myself). Honesty and trust is very hard to come by in this world whether its for an automobile or a boat. I found honesty and trust in the team at Hall Marine/Marine Max. Fantastic!
Ive bought both a surf boat and a center console from this dealership. Both the sales and service experiences have been excellent. I keep my boats on Keowee and have been very happy with service on my dock as well as a recent service to my center console when I had to drop it off at the dealership after abusing it off the coast of FL. The general manager Scott is very responsive and professional. The service manager David is very accommodating and maintains a knowledgable staff. I highly recommend MarineMax Greenville.
Tee Evans was great! As a first time boat owner, he patiently answered all of my questions and made the whole process very easy. If you are in the market for a boat, go see Tee at MarineMax in Greenville SC!
Amazing Service! I am about to purchase my 2nd boat from Scott Ryerson within the last three years. I highly recommend Marine Max for excellent service and price.
This place is awesome! Thomas took great care of us during our first boat purchase. We drove from Hendersonville to purchase our Yamaha boat from Thomas simply because we knew the service we would received would be exceptional compared to the service we’d receive at our local Yamaha dealer in Hendersonville. Such a great decision. Thomas is always a call away if we ever have any questions.
Awesome staff
Rude people at the front of service and $300 for an oil change and service is ridiculous. They were going to charge me $700 to replace the tilt trim motor but I looked at you tube and easily fixed it myself for $65
Had a great experience here. Thomas did a great job and was incredibly helpful and informative.
Beware of Marine Max in Greenville S.C. Questionable Business PracticesMarineMax in Greenville have questionable business practices to say the least and the Corporate Head Quarters seem to condone it. It seems they like uninformed customers. I recently negotiated the purchase of a new boat and the build sheet reflected all the upgrades I requested. Upon coming up with the agreed negotiated price it was time to seal the deal. Via computer and telephone, they asked for my credit card information for the down payment for my new boat purchase. After sending them my credit card information they were to send out the build sheet and contract for my new boat which I was suppose to endorse and send back. Upon review of my purchase price build sheet I noticed the MSRP price went up significantly compared to the original build sheet we agreed on. Upon review of the final purchase build sheet they had removed the negotiated Seagate power hydraulic steering assist ( $3194 MSRP) and replaced it with a non negotiated Mercury power Hydraulic steering assist ($1869 MSRP). This is a difference of $1325.00 which should have lowered the MSRP for the total cost of the boat. I was never informed of this change and it was never mentioned by the sales person. Upon questioning the salesman about the change he told me the Mercury power steering was a better product. He also added the shipping charges to the total MSRP just to confuse and distract the issue at hand. I asked him why the total MSRP for the purchase of the boat wasn’t lower to reflect the cheaper steering they slipped in. His response was “what’s the difference your still getting the boat you want for the same price”. The contract numbers were also skewed and did not add up. A creative form of accounting I imagine. I informed the salesman that I was shopping apples for apples. I wanted the original power steering reinstated on the build sheet and to correct the contract figures. He said he would make the changes and send it back to me. He called 20 minutes later and told me they couldn’t do that deal. What a shock. Oh ya did I mention I had a $6000 charge on my credit card for the down payment of my boat. I never had signed a contract and still had the nerve to charge my credit card. I had to close my credit card because of the possible fraud. Upon calling and discussing this with the general manager he informed me that I was the problem and I hard to deal with. He also informed me that if I purchased a boat some where else he would never service my boat because it was the dealers prerogative. What a loss. I spoke to corporate at Marine Max and they more or less said No Harm No Foul. They swept it under the rug. However, I bet my inquiry at the legal department caused a huge riff at Marine Max in Greenville. You be the judge of their business practices. Everything written here is the truth and not embellished. Do some more shopping you can beat their prices by thousands.
I have called many times I cannot get anybody to respond on the phone or return my voicemails
Thomas was great. Took time to clearly answer all our questions and show us all that Yamaha jet boats had to offer.
Parts folks are very knowledgeable and helpful. Bought several parts from Hall Marine over the years, they will always give suggestions on installation going through any problems you may encounter and tips to make it easier.
Treated terribly by the service department. Left boat there for 2 months and when I went to pick it up after I was told it was done, no repairs had been done. They broke a part of the boat and now want me to jump through hoops to get it covered by warranty. I held off on any toes of survey or review waiting to see how they handled this and if theyd actually keep their word. They did not.
Excellent place to buy a boat!
After purchasing a boat there last year I have never been so discouraged with a dealership in my entire life with not receiving proper documentation that was needed and attitude from the sales deapartment. I had a problem with my boat a couple of days before the 4th of July and it was a Saturday . I decided to carry the boat on in to get serviced anyway. When I arrived only to find another bad attitude from a lady in service. I did not give up and talked to Scott the GM not at all to be confused by Scott the salesperson. He actually got the boat fixed and was one of the nicest person you could deal with. Unfortunately for Scott the GM he has to work with the rest Of the dysfunctional group. Scott not only got the boat fixed he save the Holiday (4th of July) with many out of town relatives were able to enjoy the boat as well. When visiting the store get acquainted with Scott and not be discouraged by the rest. A HUGE SHOUTOUT to Scott the GM.
Great place to have your boat serviced very friendly staff an very professional dave in service was very helpful as well as the GM scott
I went in for parts one day. Was basically ignored. If you not buying boat they could care less about you!!!!! Spend your money somewhere else!!!
The best service, people etc. You couldnt ask for any better. It dont get no better than Marine Max
The boats are nice...
The service department goes the extra mile to make sure everything is right. Thanks Dave.
