Life changing! I had two traumatic brain injuries that affected my vision. I saw provider after provider and was not getting anywhere. Dr. Rose was so skilled and did many tests on me to find out the root causes of my issues. The whole office was very kind and made it a great experience and made me feel comfortable with everything.The glasses she prescribed me have been AMAZING. I have been able to work at the computer longer, tolerate zoom meetings, and watch videos with them on. I have been improving more and more every day.Seeing her was a huge key in my brain injury recovery and has made my quality of life so much better. Thank you so much Dr. Rose!

Super Friendly Staff. All the latest eye technology for a very smooth examination. Very clean facility. With the latest technology, eye explanations were very informative. Dr. Joe answered all my questions. All without having to get my eyes dilated.

We’ve been using Hopkins Eye Center for at least 7 years now. Both of my children have issues with convergence insufficiency and tracking and we were referred here by another eye doctor. Both have also been diagnosed with Dysgraphia and a Specific Learning Disability in Written Expression. I chose to have both go through Vision Therapy when they were in 3rd or 4th grades with Ms. Jen and Dr. Rose. My younger child, whose Dysgraphia is more severe, has done the Z-bell test with Dr. Rose several times now.Outside of vision therapy, I feel that Dr. Rose is very thorough with The exams that we have received throughout the years. Maybe it is because we have a long history with her but she always goes above and beyond to check to see if the problems my children are having are continuing to decrease. Although she is phasing out her participation in VSP, I will still pay her rate for my children to see her because I feel she is worth the extra cost. I know that Dr. Joe will remain a VSP provider So don’t let that stop you from making an appointment. Becky and Shannan have been great to work with over the past few years as well.

Dr. Joe was efficient, on time and answered all of my questions. I especially loved the 3-D images. It was great to get so much information without having my eyes dilated!!

I worked with Becky Garrett to get new progressive lenses.Becky has been in the business for many years, knows tons of people in different lens-making labs both locally and around the country, and when she understood my situation, Becky knew exactly which lab would be best to make my lenses.She is very knowledgeable, patient, explains things clearly, and is easy to work with. She could not have been better.My standards are high and quality is important to me. I recommend her with no hesitation.

Dr. HOPKINS was extremely thorough and explained everything precisely and comprehensively. Overall good experience and the doctor made me feel very comfortable with his professionalism and knowledge. Wouldve given 5 stars but while I was in the chair I was told I would be charged an additional $38 dollars above my copay ( hard right now due to supporting a large family out of work due to COVID). My choice.I paid it. I shouldve questioned whether that test or procedure was necessary. Peace and Love everyone.

I have a pretty severe case of keratoconus that requires scleral lenses. For more than a year I worked (very patiently) with another doctor in the area until it seemed he was not going to be able to help me. He was determined to fit me with a special scleral lens. The normal scleral was never an option. For all that time, I did not feel comfortable driving, and so I didnt. When my patience ran out, I stopped seeing him. I have nothing to show from that time, except a series of ongoing bills. I say all that as background to my experience with Dr. Hopkins. In ONE VISIT with me, and a little consultation with my doctor from far away, he was able to give me a VERY comfortable fit with improved vision! I was amazed, and I think Ive found my family doctor!

They were very thorough, fast, kind and helpful in their explanation of exam and benefits. They explained all my options and things to consider in the future. Best experience I have ever had at an eye doctor.

I was at Hopkins Eye Center today. I was so impressed with the fantastic way they are keeping themselves and their patients safe from Covid-19. You wait in your car and they come and get you when it is your turn, they all wear face shields, gloves and masks. They were constantly cleaning all surfaces and made me feel safe at all times. Thank you to all of them for working so hard to keep us all safe.

My child needed a more in-depth assessment of her vision than a regular optometrist could give. Dr. Rose did a wonderful job doing an exhaustive assessment of how my childs hearing and vision work together and took the time to illustrate to us as parents how our child sees the world. These insights and the prescription of much needed glasses have greatly improved my childs ability to read. Dr. Rose is extremely thorough and kind and cares about the quality of a childs life, not just their eyes. The whole staff is very friendly and willing to help. Im truly grateful I was able to find this practice and will be returning for many years to come.

Wonderful staff. This was my first visit to Hopkins Eye Center and felt very at ease during my entire visit. They were all kind and professional. I got a thorough eye exam with full explanation of the exam. A number of times I was asked if I had any questions about anything concerning my eyes or visit.I left knowing my needs were met. I’ve been to about 6-7 eye doctors before settling down with one that understand my needs. Dr. Hopkins is friendly, informative and willing to talk to you so you can better understand any eye concerns. I’ve had glaucoma for years and the optometrists I’ve been to before were just there to give me my eye exams and my drops. They never address my concerns or explained in a better way for me to understand my health issue but Dr. Hopkins was great! He is willing to answer everything and tried his best to solve your needs!

What a difference compared to the last time I visited the eye doctor, which was 10+ years ago. I think Dr. Hopkins and his staff have restored my faith in the profession again. I always enjoy going to Hopkins Eye Center. The staff that checks you in are always pleasant. I have been seeing Dr. Rose for a number of years now and she is brimming with knowledge. She explains each test being performed and equates it to previous tests Ive had. As far as ordering frames and lenses, Becky has been tremendously helpful in choosing the best frame for me as for color or style. She also meticulously measures the lenses for bi or tri focal lenses. If something isnt right she will fix it. If you walk out and after a week or so your glasses dont feel right, bring them back. Becky or Dr. Rose will make things right.ps. If you go in for an appointment during the Covid-19 time frame and you see what appear to be a bunch of behind the plate umpires, do not be alarmed. They dress that way for YOUR protection.

Positive experiance from a professional staff

The staff was courteous and took me right back without any wait. The doctor and his staff gave me their full attention, answered all of my questions, and made sure I was comfortable with my new lenses before leaving. They even asked me to come back in a week to make sure I knew how to use my new contacts correctly.

After my injury 3 years ago, I was sent to Dr Rose due to my constant headaches and dizziness. Dr Rose, Dr Joe, and their staff have proved to be incredibly professional! The glasses prescribed by Dr Rose allow me to grocery shop without paralyzing dizzy spells; and the ongoing eye therapies are very helpful. I recommend this Eye Center highly. Definitely 4 Stars.

I just had my first appointment at Hopkins Eye Center, and I left feeling better about the appointment than I ever have with my previous eye doctors! Dr. Hopkins staff was very friendly and courteous from the moment I walked in. I was very impressed with the technologies utilized in the office. I really liked how they use pictures/scans of the eye instead of dilation. At my previous eye doctors, the technicians preformed most of the exam, and I saw the doctor for less than 5 minutes. At Hopkins Eye Center, Dr. Hopkins completed my exam himself which was a nice change of pace from the experience I was used to. Additionally, he was very helpful in selecting contact lenses that suit my eye best. I am very glad that I decided to visit Hopkins Eye Center and will be referring my friends and family to their practice in the future!

Vision Therapy? I sat on this idea for a year before proceeding with the sessions for my 10 year old daughter. My daughter had patched one eye 30 minutes per day, every single day for 6 years and nothing changed! She still had an eye that would drift, double vision, blurred vision, words jumping on and off the page as she read, etc. Something had to be done, so I switched eye doctors and took a chance with Dr. Rose Hopkins. I have to admit, I was very skeptical and even during the vision therapy sessions, I thought some of the activities were very odd. Not long after we completed the sessions, we realized my daughter could actually control her eye!! Dr. Rose taught her how to recognize when her eye is turning and how to pull it back in. AMAZING! No more double vision, no more blurred vision, no more words jumping, etc! My daughter is now 14 and still has control of her eye. THANK YOU DR. ROSE HOPKINS! I wish we knew about you and vision therapy 10 years ago!

I have been getting my annual eye exams here(by Rose) for about 6 years. The exams are very through. The people are friendly. Becky does a great job in helping select and fitting glasses. Until things change Ill keep coming back

My daughter has both ocular impairments and problems with visual processing. Dr Rose has been seeing her since she was 3 and she is 11 now. She has been extremely diligent and humble in helping us sort through these different deficits and bridging gaps in our daughter’s visual experience of the world. It’s been a process and I’m grateful that I have had Dr. Rose to help us. Jen, who manages her vision therapy, has been an extraordinary asset. With her background in OT she has a comprehensive perspective on sensory development and what experiences during development may have impacted vision. It’s a relief to have this team and they have offered me a lot of hope as we have watched my daughter’s vision continue to improve.

I really appreciated the health care I recieved from Dr. Rose, considering the shape that my eyes were in, when I saw her a month ago. I had an eye inflammation which required numerous visits, and she made the time to give me the care I needed to have better health. I never felt like I was an inconvenience, and she was willing to work around my schedule to take care of me. I am very impressed with her expertise and would recommend her care to any of my friends and co-workers.

I have had double vision because of a head injury sustained in an automobile accident in 1968. After numerous eye muscle surgeries to correct this without good results, I resorted to prism in my lenses. All of the glasses I have worn since have corrected the distance vision to being able to see only one object but I still saw 2 objects when looking down such as trying to read. When searching on the internet for an eye doctor skilled in prisms I found the Hopkins Eye Center. I saw Dr. Rose Hopkins for the first time on June 1, 2017. She took so much time & interest in what I was telling her that I was immediately impressed & hopeful. She took a lot of tests & measurements & the result is a perfect pair of glasses. For the first time in years I can see one object in the distance & can also see perfectly to read. Dr. Hopkins & the staff were all so considerate & helpful, & I am so very happy to have found them.

90% Improved!I have adult onset of strabismus, I see things crossing together or double. Before being referred to Dr. Rose Hopkins, I could not hold a focus, I could not keep eye contact, my eyes constantly moved back and forth just to see. I was miserable and Dr. Rose was very helpful and knowledgeable, and she was sympathetic to my tears. It took a lot of hard work for us both and with the addition of the Syntonics (light therapy), we have achieved a level of success I am very happy with. My quality of life is greatly improved and I can say the time and effort was well worth it > 90% improved!

My gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Rose Hopkins care are hard to put into words. This practice came highly recommended by my Primary Care Physician for good reason! I am seeing Dr. Hopkins about a TBI which resulted in lingering Visual & Post-Concussive issues. Prior to my auto accident, I had degenerative eye disease called Strabismus Amblyopia, this complicates matters for TBI and Concussion recovery. Dr. Hopkins has successfully treated me for disabling light sensitivity issues I developed months after my injuries occurred. Dr. Hopkins practice is ahead of the curve as it relates to patient-centered neuro-optometric medical care. She is always up to speed on new research and gladly shares actionable steps you can take after you leave her office to best set the conditions for a successful recovery. God Bless Dr. Hopkins and this practice which has delivered noticeable results for me and has provided desperately needed hope and context to my complex medical issue.
