This is by far my favorite eye doctors I’ve ever been to. Dr. Salazar was awesome. He is super welcoming and you can tell he is very passionate and knowledgeable about they eye. He made me feel comfortable even though I usually get nervous at doctors. He also showed me my eye image and explained to me all the parts of my eye and why it looked healthy. I felt reassured by that and also it was very interesting to see. At places before, I’ve always left feeling like they just rushed the process and I didn’t get the right prescription before going to Dr. Salazar. He said I had a slight astigmatism and since getting my new prescription I have been able to see better than ever!

My appointment was great and the staff was very kind but trying to get my glasses prescription was a major hassle for no reason and I had to call numerous times before I could order more contacts. I had called and left several messages and when they would answer they told me to leave my phone number so they could call me back and then they never called me back. I waited nearly 3 months just to get new contacts because they would answer/call me back and they said that you could on come into the office by appointment because of COVID (which I do understand that) but I should have been called back within a timely manner.

I received a notification of my appointment time in advance of my visit. Upon arriving at the appointment time I was attended to in an expedient manner. Dr. Salazar’s assistant was cheerful and performed the preliminary eye tests in a professional manner. All procedures were explained and questions answered to my satisfaction.Dr. Salazar performed the more detailed examinations and explained each procedure and discussed the results with me.I felt comfortable during the entire visit.I highly recommend Dr.Salazar and his staff to anyone needing optical care.

Salazar eyecare is a very good clinic if you need eye care i have used them a couple of times and will continue to do so they are great

I had a appointment here for the first time going to the eye doctor in years. I was so nervous to try a new doctor because my previous one does not take my new insurance. I was so pleased with my experience. The ladies who helped me set the appointment were so kind, and answered all of my questions. They informed me of what the appointment would cost, and I was so thankful for that information before hand. Dr Salazar assistant was so sweet, and when he came in I immediately felt comfortable and in good hands. He spoke to me and spent a lot of time getting to know my concerns and my eyes! He even taught me quite about the health of eyes. It was so interesting. He is truly one of the greatest doctors I have ever met. I can’t wait to schedule my next appointment with him! Dr. Salazar and his staff are amazing! More importantly, they are very thorough. My kids and I had been going to him for 10 years, then we moved to the Austin area. We are back in Greenville, and we picked up my sons glasses on Friday. When we stepped out of the office my son said, Wait a minute. Are you telling me that everyone sees the world like this? I can see so many details! As we drove, he was amazed of how many details he did not realize he was missing! I didnt know he wasnt seeing well for FOUR years! He said, The clouds are so beautiful! It looks like a Bob Ross painting! Thank you Dr. Salazar!!

Salazar Eyecare is fantastic, staff was AMAZING. Dr. Salazar takes the time to make us feel like he has all time in the world for us. When we first got there we were greeted by 3/4 of the staff. Raul took us back to get the process started. Very polite and knowledgeable young man. He took the time to explain every step. This office is amazing.

Sometimes it only takes a few words from a kindred spirit to bring clarity to our spiritual shortsightedness. In my case, those words indeed came from a vision specialist, Dr Jesse Salazar and his wonderful team of associates. And for the record, no I wasn’t preached to, however I was openly and respectfully received as a Christian man, and was engaged in conversation as such. I’m very encouraged to say I walked away from that visit with a clearer perspective, a better view of me, and a much brighter outlook for my near future. Wow ! All that from a mere eye exam ! What a mighty God we serve ! Thanks Doc. Praise be to God. Oh ! And I came out of the deal with a new script for my glasses too 😎 !

Amazingly friendly staff. Everyone there answered all my questions (first time as an adult getting an exam) and had awesome personalities! Dr Salazar was super cool and honest. I didn’t need anything other than my exam, but it looked like they had a great selection of frames. I will be going back yearly. Highly recommend.

They are the most sweetest people you will ever meet. They are so kind and so happy to help. Dr. Salazar is always happy to listen to your concerns and really takes in what you say. Unlike other doctors who will just tell you your wrong immediately. When I lost my glasses and was getting major head aches they got new glasses to me as fast as they could.

I had to change eye doctors because mine stopped using my insurance. I was kinda dreading going to a new one. A co-worker suggested Dr.Salazar in Greenville. It was the best eye care experience ever!!! From the moment you walk in, to the end... You are greeted with the sweetest receptionist! Beautiful decor! everything is neat and clean, like brand new. Dr. Salazar is amazing! Treats you like hes known you forever! Explains everything in detail, very thorough. So super sweet!! Then on to the try on of different color contacts, it was like a fashion show, so much fun! So attentive! I am so glad i had to change!! If you need eye care👀👓 these folks are the only way to go!!! Dr. Salazar is great and I look forward to my yearly appointment with him. The office is well run and a great balance between being efficient / no long waits and not feeling rushed / knowing you are being well taken care of. I have been a patient of Dr. Salazars for at least 5 years now. Up until last year I had never had a problem. A new doctor was in the office and provided an incorrect prescription to me. I had to go back and forth a few times before the lenses were correct. I again went this past November for my exam and again the lenses were wrong. It took me a little while to get the lenses back to the staff as I work in Richardson and had no time off from wok. A month after I dropped off my lenses and I got them back today. The script is wrong again and they want me to come back for another exam. I dont have time I can take off from work to go for yet another exam. I have asked for a refund and have been told they have already paid twice for the lenses (not my problem) and their policy is to get the script right. I am changing doctors due to this occurrence. Although the staff is polite I cannot afford to be running back and forth multiple times due to someone elses errors.

Hands down THE BEST Eye Doctor I have ever experienced and I have worn correction for over 30 years! Dr. Salazar was highly recommended to me by a nurse at the hospital who said he was the best in town! I couldn’t agree more! Great Listener,super kind and compassionate and staff is awesome as well! Dr. Salazar and his team is awesome! I was going to change my eye doctor out of convenience but I couldnt do it. I enjoy going to doctor Salazars office everyone is professional and they have great bedside manners. Dr. Salazar was thorough and professional. Front Office staff were cordial and seemed to enjoy their work. Eric fitted my frames and helped with my new experience moving to transition lenses. I was a little disappointed in the time frame to receive my new lenses but par for the course given the fact that the lenses are custom made. Eric assured me that he would expedite the process to the best of his ability. I do recommend.

Dr Salazar and staff are exceptional in every way. We always receive excellent medical care with love as a bonus. We are going on 23 years with Dr Salazar and highly recommend him.

The staff was very friendly. With previous optometrists, they never explained to me how everything worked, and Im one of those people who like to know how things work. Dr Salazar explained my eyes to me and showed what each and every machine calculated and actually prescribed me the right kind of contacts (which my other optometrist did not) and I got them a lot sooner than I thought I would. I would definitely go back.

Dr. Salazar really cares about his patients. He takes his time with each one, and doesn’t make you feel like you are being rushed through. If you have an issue or something wrong he truly wants to know so he can help you with it.

Appointments were originally scheduled without my consent for my daughters and me. They were scheduled on days when I was working, instead of Fridays when i am off. Plus, the appointments that were made and the ones that i called to reschedule the first time were made within the same calendar year as my previous appointment. We would of had to pay out of pocket for all three of our visits. Then, they forgot to take the original appointments off the schedule and I was sent an obnoxious amount of reminders through my email, text, and voicemails. Then, they again wanted to move my two daughters appointments to an earlier time and called me 7 times within 2 days. I HAVE A FULL TIME JOB AND CAN NOT HAVE MY PHONE AT WORK. They even called my husband when I was not replying. Even when I confirmed my appointments I am still getting reminders constantly, even the day of the appointment. I was also running about 2 minutes late to my appointment due to the girls were switching classes for lunch, and right before my appointment time the office staff was calling me!!!!!!When we got to the office and checked in, you could temp there was tension with the front office staff. The two women up front were gossiping about one of the other staff WHERE PATIENTS COULD HEAR!!! Oh, and they were saying how they bet the next woman was not going to show up because she missed her last appointment, their statements were very rudeI have been coming to see Dr. Salavar since I was a little girl, but this may be our last visit. The same thing with the appointments happened last year.

Friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable staff greeted me promptly handled my HIPA updates quickly, performed pre-tests, and processed my insurance before I left. Dr. Jesse Salazar is amazingly intelligent and well- read, providing in depth details about my eye condition, causes, and treatment plan and also sharing additional on-line resources with me about food PH scale and how it not only affects my eyes but also other parts of my body (for example, nflammation). I always learn something new during my visits with Dr. Salazar who takes time to treat me with ultimate care and respect! Thanks, Jesse!

I really like Dr. Salazar which is the only reason I go back. I am repeatedly irritated by the $224 “contact lense fitting fee” that is charged. Previously my insurance didn’t cover it but now that they do the office claims that mine is a “level 3 contact evaluation” and even though my insurance offers a co-pay for a “specialty lense fitting” the office claims that isn’t what I’m getting. This seems like a way to get more money from insured patients.

This place is a constant headache. I try to make a appointment and they always put me on hold and then switch me to a different person. Ill have to repeat my information multiple times to multiple people. Such a headache. And if its not the circus hoops I have to jump through to talk to someone, it the wait time for them to even pick up a phone. It also seems like they cant figure out which insurances they take either. Thats always a bafoon show trying to figure out which insurance they take. I dont recommend this place to anyone.

I was turned away because an office staffer (Courtney) said they never heard of my insurance co. I provided an 800 # but evidently she didnt bother to call and confirm my benefits. This is another example of money over care. Needless to say I will go to another eye care provider.
