Daniel was very helpful with our trade in especially because the process took more than an hour. BUT while there I listened to him degrade in front of customers a colleague JACK, that appeared to be newer and just learning his job.Not excusing anything that Jack may have done incorrectly but he had questions and appeared to be frazzled at times by the long lines and rush of customers.Weve all been the new employee at work at some point, be patient with him. But most importantly never reprimand someone on the floor in front of customers.

I very rarely go into this type of store, as I am not a gamer. The staff here was VERY helpful to me. I explained that I was not a gamer person, and the associate was very helpful in assisting me with my purchase. I asked questions, and never felt like the staff member was taking down to me in any way. He explained every question in detail. He helped me spend over $100 on this occasion. I will definitely be returning to this store in the future.

Terrible customer service. I came in to buy a switch and a few games. The guy that rang me out said he was not authorized to go get the switch. The woman who was was with a customer and went in the back to get a PS4 for them. She could have easily grabbed a switch while she was back there. The then proceeded to check out every other customer in line before helping me. NEVER go to this location

I LOVE going here, this place has the games that i need and the service is amazing! I think one of the employees from there is named Sophia i think but she is really nice and would always say thanks and your welcome and ask me if i need help.

I really like this location, the staff is very helpful and polite. Ive never gone in here and wasnt greeted. I worked retail management for over 25 years, and that goes a long way with me

Employee by the name of Alex (possibly the manager) is very rude. I was in the middle of being helped by another associate, when Alex interrupted our conversation and asked the person helping me, to help him with his costumer. Right in the middle of me talking, I was left there talking to myself, the associate just walked away to help Alex. I took my business elsewhere.

This particular location doesnt have good customer service. I went in to this GameStop just to look around and went to the display cases where they have collectible figures for sale. I looked and saw they had BB-8. I went to the cashier to purchase this BB-8. I tell him I would like to purchase the BB-8 in the display case. He says no but I can sell this one. Hes points NO where. This goes one for about 10 minutes back and forth. I was close to walking away because of how much of a smart ass this cashier was being. I have been a loyal customer to Gamestop and I have never been more disgusted with how this cashier handled my transaction. I refuse to go to this location. I shop at the mall but this GameStop eithers needs to better train their employees or fire those who have bad customer service experience and hire people who want to work.

GameStop as a business is awful and I never recommend it to anyone, I will give this store some credit by having employees that actually care to a degree. The store setup is a bit cramped due to the constant forced promotional stands. Employees do their shpeals of what corporate tells them to say.

Alright, Im going to try to write what happened and not sound like Im venting, I just want people and even Gamestop to be aware of how poor this customer service was.Lets get right to it. My friend really likes Fire Emblem, and wouldnt you know it, the new Fire Emblem games came out right around his birthday. So I figured Id grab him one, but surprise surprise, the Gamestop where I live was sold out of the game. Thats totally fine, it happens. So I drive to the next closest one, it too is sold out. Now, Im sweating bullets I little bit, because I really wanted to get the game for my friend on his birthday and I now have already sunk about an hour trying to find it.So I start calling around to other games stops, I call the one in Gurnee outside of the mall and they too were out of the game. But they tell me the one in the Gurnee Mills Mall has a few copies. Gurnee Mills is about 40 minutes from where I live, but I decide Ill make the trek out there to get the game. Fearing I may make the trip for no reason (it has happened to me before), I ask the guy if he could place the game on hold for me. He says no problem.So far, great. So I make the drive, takes about an hour to get there. I walk into the store, and this middle aged, apparently disgruntled white guy asks if I need help. I say I called ahead and asked for a game to be held. With all the sarcasm in the world, he scoffs and says, Yeah... well i DIDNT put it on hold cause I figured... you know... He points around his store, no one is there. I guess he assumed that I would know this, and also assumed that I would know how stupid it would be to hold the game. But then, with a jerk smile he says, But dont worry, its here.I nearly lost it there. Then, after doing this to a customer, he tries to upsell me like the idiot he thinks I am. At this moment I realized Game Stop has become something terrible, and made it clear in my mind that I would never shop at any chain again. That one guys interaction lost a ten year customer. I have never had a worker be that stand-offish ever, and I honestly feel like I didnt do anything too bad (Ive worked in retail, I know how annoying it can get).Anyways, there you go, I cant recommend this store. Especially if they got guys like that working there.
