The product selection is great but the customer service/tech support has lost its credibility. 4 online and 1 in store reps could not get my S10 turned on with a lot of I dont know comments. I went this store for help. Ive always considered this store to be the best until Sunday when the CSR had no knowledge of what to do. I went out in the parking lot and finally got an online CSR to get it up and running. Credibility is in the toilet with this store, good luck.

Went to the Hanover store to up grade my phone and go over my plan with the three phones. Total BS wear mask and told me the earliest appointment only for in-store shopping is late Monday four days from today. The web site said in-store shopping. They told me no, on line only for their safety. Total BS way of doing business

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at this store. We had an insurance claim and an upgrade to take care of. After waiting in line we were shooed away by the manager and told to use myverizon.com. We went to the store in Braintree instead where we were helped by patient and professional staff.

Update (about a week after my original review).Since my original review, I have read a number of other reviews from other customers. And I thought maybe it was just me in the Hanover store and associate was just having a bad day. But wow, it seems like maybe this is a trend.To make this worse, I called Verizon to follow up on a previous sale from December.My bill was supposed to go up about $6 or $7 a month. After 4 months the incentives never kicked in in my bill is more like $30 increased per month. After a few phone calls back-and-forth I was finally told that there was no such promotion when I purchase the new phone. After an hour of back-and-forth, I ask them if they did in fact record the phone calls like they say at the beginning of the conversation. I told them to go listen to the recording. I was told it would take 7 To 10 days for them to review the recordings and they would get back to me. I am beyond frustrated with Verizon at this point . After about four years I finally upgraded today to a new Samsung Galaxy S 21. It is hard to believe that you pay $850 or more for a phone and it doesnt even come with a charger. Add to that the sales clerk was very inattentive and on her phone the whole time she was supposed to be waiting on me. She was not paying attention to what she was doing. I tried to buy an OtterBox to protect the phone. Initially she took out the correct case from the display cabinet and handed it to me. She asked if I wanted to go out to my car and bring the new phone back in to make sure it was the right case. So I went and got the phone. When I came back in, I went to the counter she was at and she handed me a box with a phone case. I looked at it and asked her if it was the same one we had just looked at and she said yes. I looked more closely at it and it was for a completely different phone. I tried to explain this to her and she started to get defensive and borderline argumentative until I held it up in front of her and pointed at the name of the wrong phone. After that, she told me a price that was $15 more then what I was seeing on their website. I was told I needed to order it online and do curbside delivery. She couldnt just sell it to me. It had something to do with being a government employee discount but really?!?! She said she would get the instructions for me on how to buy it and do the curbside delivery. She disappeared and was gone for so long that I had already purchased the Otterbox online using my old phone by the time she came back. Again, overall Im happy with Verizon as a cell phone company but this particular interaction was not them at their best.

**Update:** I made the switch and today was my last day as a Verizon customer. Over the last 3 months, the only thing they have done to address any issues is the empty response they gave below and to recommend I drive 30 minutes farther to a different location to avoid the Hanover branch. So, for neglecting their customers, I fired Verizon. Never again for anything. Verizon has set the bar so low for customer service, I can’t imagine how one of their competitors could be worse.(Original post) I’ve been a Verizon wireless customer since 2003. I have 5 lines of unlimited service. I’ve never once had a good experience with the Hanover location. Tonight was the last straw. One of the female associates made an appointment Thursday on her Verizon tablet scheduled for 7pm tonight, Saturday, for my wife and mother-in-law. This was the store policy due to covid. Yesterday morning, my wife received a text from Verizon, confirming the appointment made for her by the sales associate for tonight at 7pm. My wife and mother-in-law showed up to the Verizon store at 6:45pm for her appointment. The woman who made the appointment was seated, reading, and when said that she was there for her appointment, the sales associate said, “We close at 7”. The sales associate was the woman who made the appointment! She never even got up off her chair. She just kept saying, “We close at 7”. No apology, no acknowledgement of any mistake. Nothing. Just attitude and implying my wife was lying and it was her mistake, despite the text confirming the appointment. They sent my wife and mother-in-law away and closed early.As a result, I have contacted Verizon to let them know we will be switching carriers and it is entirely due to the Hanover Verizon store and the absolutely atrocious customer service. Specifically, from that sales associate. The reason is every time I have had to deal with that store, I have dealt with associates that either were incompetent, dishonest or gave the impression that the customers were inconveniencing them. I’ve only had dealings with the Hanover store a handful of times over the last 18 years, but the one constant has been a disappointment experience. That store is the reason I am leaving Verizon. If Verizon is okay with that store representing them and is okay with treating its customers like that, I will take my business elsewhere.

I was there to buy a phone from a personal sale to activate on my existing service and they provided me a safe place to do this. Im a multiple decades long customer of Verizon along with all of my family. I expect nothing less. Thanks again 🙏🏾

I was previously an AT&T customer. I went in to create a Verizon account, port my number over and then add my husband to my plan while porting his existing Verizon line from a previous Verizon plan to mine.The man who helped us was super passive the whole time and to be honest, pretty uninterested even though we were starting a new account and prepared to buy two new iPhones. When we asked what information we would need to transfer his number over, the guy said Its not my department, I dont know.My husband stepped out to work with the family member that was going to have to make that call. During this time, I opened the new account. He asked what plan we wanted, but didnt take the time to explain them. I picked Do More Unlimited which was on a small poster nearby advertised as $45/month. He didnt tell me that since we only have two lines, it would actually be $70/line PLUS $10 per line until I enrolled in auto pay.I didnt find any of this out until 48 hours later when I received my first bill for $274.91. At what point would I have been able to get enrolled in auto pay for this first bill? Some of this hefty bill came from one time activation fees which is fine, but the lack of transparency was appalling. The youll have to figure this out on your own affect from the sale person was annoying the day of, but even more so after getting a bill I wasnt expecting. Also, they werent able to sell my husband a new phone until after they moved his number over which took forever since the man wasnt helpful. Therefore, he didnt even get one! Well be getting his through Apple instead.To top it all off, I had to get a purple phone because they only had purple or red iphone 11 in stock. Which is a very small problem but on top of the rest of the experience was annoying. I just wanted black or plain, adult phone.Needless to say, Im unimpressed with my Verizon experience so far.

Don’t waste your time. Just left, worst customer service. He “sold” me on buying a new phone saying I’d need to fork out $700-1,000. We didn’t even leave the welcome mat of the inside door. The man helping us was short with us, aggravated by our remedial questions and just told us to call to change our phone plans. Like have you ever called an 800 number??? We’re in the store help us now!!! Make us believe that phone companies aren’t just out for our money. I thought he was on the spectrum.

Ive worked retail, specifically technology retail, for 7 years and never have I had such a poor experience. They checked me in and proceeded to ignore me for 40 minutes. We asked a rep when I would be next as people were walking in and being immediately helped and he said I wasnt in queue. He put me in and said I would be next and not give minutes later they helped someone else. When I was finally helped, the associate seemed incredibly disinterested in helping me. I wasnt rude, I was maybe a little short because of my previous experience, but I was in no way taking this out on the associate. Still, after I said I wouldnt be getting the insurance because I wanted Apple Care, he blatantly lied and told me I couldnt get Apple Care on the iPhone. Ive sold Apple Products for years, you can get Apple Care on ANY Apple product no matter where you buy it. The final straw was when he wouldnt take my phone for trade in because it wasnt bought at Verizon. Prior to coming in I had priced everything out through the My Verizon app, which allowed me to select my phone as a trade in. At that point I asked if I could process the upgrade on the app and pick it up in store and he responded I dont know, does it let you? Needless to say I left. Heading to Best Buy now where I know the experience will be much better. Learned my lesson for sure!

Not helpful at all. I bought my phone there Saturday, the sales person said he did not have a sample of the phone he told me about, 8 bought it any way. Then he says we dont activate the phones due to the Corona virus. That would mean people would have a long wait.So I took the phone number to call to activate the phone. All was going well till the sim card broke.so I bought a sim card at TCC Verizon store in Abington. The corporate store was closed on Sunday. And they went out of their way to activate it for me. We went in to switch over from AT&T and the first person we saw was not that helpful. However, when we went in the second time to set everything up with our new phones we were helped by Colleen and she was an absolute rockstar. She fixed all of the mistakes made by the first person and helped us set everything up beyond that. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. She even stayed late passed work hours as one of our phones was having difficulty loading. Verizon should give this woman a raise!!!!

I can honestly say that my visit to the store was the worst customer service I have ever received. I went into this store on Wednesday to get my mother a new phone. The gentleman that helped me could not have been any less helpful if he tried. He seemed annoyed that I asked him to check for the phone we chose. He was annoyed when I asked for a case. He then said that he couldnt move my mothers contacts from one phone to another. He said there was some app and she could do it at home. When I explained that the woman in front of him was 80 and couldnt he just do it here he said no....and get this ... Because Verizon had bad wifi and it would probably fail and then hed have to do it again. When I asked if he could at least try he said no. So I called best buy to see if they had that phone... Sitting with this Verizon rep. They did and we left. By the way. Best buy experience was the exact opposite experience.

I recently purchased the new iPhone X. Although there is nothing wrong with my new phone, I was originally told I could not replace the battery on my old iPhone...when I later found out I could. I am extremely disappointed Verizon lied straight to my face making me think I needed to buy a new phone. I do not recommend this store. Dont turn your back on these people. I went in explicitly asking for a replacement of my 6S with a new 6S. The sales rep took the old phone and did a data transfer, then left saying it was done. A few weeks later I went to use the headphone jack only to find I was scammed and now have an iPhone 8, which was a failed product.

The sale rep, Orlano, was great. My 80 year old mom needed a phone so I took her here. Orlando was so patient with her. We never felt rushed even though it was closing time. He went the extra mile trying to figure ways for her to save money. He didnt try to sell her more phone than she needed. Great experience.

Obviously the worst place on Earth. Constantly overcharging you and then blaming you. But whatever, right? Its a giant phone company. They dont give AF. Youre more than likely going to hate your experience but would it be any different elsewhere? Thats the rub. They treat us poorly because our options are so narrow. But again, what else can you do? Their cell service and speed are second to none. Their customer service sucks.

Very modern but understaffed. There was no screener at door. 3 staff were working with customers. 4 people including me were waiting.After what seemed 10 minutes one of the sales staff went out back and 1 person the screener appeared. He got all screened and went out back and appeared with a sales person.Customers should come before any and all break time. People who work (and I use this term lightly) in that store are not doing physical work.There should be some indicator that a customer has entered the store so those who are out back can off of their butts

The employee at the front doortold me that there was no way that they could transfer anything on the phone except contacts. This turned out to be completely untrue. I had some major overseas billing issues after returning from a trip to the UK. When I had purchased my samsung phone with international dialing capabilities, i was told that in order to reduce billing costs it was best to shut off the wifi capabilities which the sales person did at the store. When i returned after a 5 day business trip to the UK, i had charges of over $1,200.00! I went to the store to inquire as to why the charges were so high and was told that I had turned on the wireless by accident! I never touched it after the sales rep shut it off! Trying to get it resolved was a nightmare and I got no satisfaction from this store. From the store manager to the sales rep, they denied having told me anything about it.I have been a customer at this store since they opened from the old location in Norwell but can assure them that I will never do business at this location again. Having been a Verizon customer for 22 years I was more than surprised with the horrible service from the store.

I purchased a new phone a couple days ago, and the package is missing equipment. I tried to call the number listed in Google but I was rerouted to a national call center where I was unable to be assisted. Now, I have to get in my car and drive 10 miles to that specific location that sold me an open box phone as a new one to resolve the matter. I dont even know the name of the sales rep that sold me the phone, I didnt receive a business card, courtesy call/email, nothing. Now my Verizon experience will be left to chance, again. Oh an Ive been a customer since 1999. If they didnt have near monopoly on the call quality market, I would have jumped ship years ago.

Purchased an iPhone 5s and had to wait a couple weeks for it on back-order. When it finally arrived, they ordered the wrong color and ordered the wrong case for it as well. Had to spend a while on the customer service line for Verizon Wireless to get this corrected and I have to wait for the new one to ship out and return the old one to FedEx. Would have made a world of difference if the salespeople at this store were not rushing to make a sale and move onto the next person.
