Jay took really good care of us. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Best mangers ever. They helped us when everyone was busy. Everyone made all the people waiting feel like we were the only customers there even though they were quite busy. Even the men who loaded our mattress were friendly and very good at what they do. We even got to see the mattress king. It was a great experience. I highly recommend this place.

The furniture quality is beautiful here, (repeat customer of several years for both mine (three homes over 15 years) and my childrens first apartments. The staff are patient, professional, and deliver an excellent product.In the Harrisburg, please ask for Jay. (RayJay) i bought a whole house of furniture from him and cant wait to see it all come together. He was a dream to work with, I never felt pressured to get a more expensive something or other. After having a bad experience with another furniture company I ordered from, I went to this store the next morning to check my options. At the time, they didn’t have the model and color I was looking for but I did get a real pretty silver bedroom set and new table for my kitchen. The gentleman who assisted me was warming and very helpful. I picked out what I wanted and it got delivered the same day. The delivery men were really nice and handled my delivery with care as well. I’d recommended anyone who is looking for furniture for to go here as their first resort.

Went in there looking for a coffee table as I had been the cause of ours getting broken.. the man behind the counter greeted me and asked what was looking for. I explained my situation and he then informed me that most items there were sold as a set.. coffee table with additional end tables.. which is fine but the way Ive put together our living room we have no room/use for end tables.. I looked around anyways then departed. The guy apologized and that was nice of him but no reason for it but courteous.. before I left in search of a lone coffee table he said have a nice day in which I replied you have a better one dont think he expected that as I heard him say thank you with a slight surprised tone in his voice.

First time ever being inside this store, i gotta say i was impressed. These guys werent pushing. All chilled and laid back about everything. The guys in the back that loaded all my stuff up for me were some of the nicest people. They loaded all my stuff up and wrapped a dresser I bought while having some great customer service. I got home with my stuff and noticed I was missing parts, I gave them a call and bam they knew exactly where the parts were hiding in my new couch. I would recommend checking this place out.

Then Jay went above & beyond and scheduled my furniture for delivery ON THE SPOT! Same day delivery, who does that?! Jay & FMDK do!

Found the perfect couch here in our budget but they wouldnt sell it to us. They said its not in stock and didnt know when they could get more so we asked about buying the floor model and they wouldnt sell it to us. So we asked if they had the model at the other two stores and they said they only had floor models there too but they sold them. So they were willing to sell the floor models at the other two locations but not this one? That makes no sense. Its like they didnt want to make the sale at all. At least the sales guy was nice and tried his best to be helpful.

We were shopping for living room furniture with accessories and found exactly what we were looking for at a wonderful price. Marcel the sales associate is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, professional and very patient. He answered all our questions and clearly explained the different options available for storage and delivery.There was a wide variety to choose from and there was no pressure.

This wouldve been a 5 star review. Everything was perfect for most of the process. When I first came to the store I was greeted by Jay. He was very professional and informative. Helped me find everything I needed in less than 10 minutes. Then he helped me schedule to have my furniture delivered later in the week which was perfect. This is where it got weird. The delivery drivers came to drop off the furniture to my house. They arrived with the wrong furniture so they had to go back to the store and grab the right stuff I ordered. It was an inconvenience for me, but they explained it was an accident and apologized and it was no problem. They returned about 40 mintues later with the right furniture and everything was good. They apologized again which was fine. I said it was no problem. Before they unloaded the truck I paid the delivery fee which was $80 and I signed the paper. Both delivery drivers were polite and did a great job. Everything I ordered was in perfect condition. Then they left and I thought everything went perfect. But then I get 4 missed calls from the driver (5 hours later). Now Im at work and I couldnt talk, so I called back when I was free. He answers and he explains to me that they never received the $80 delivery fee. That was the first thing they asked me for when they unloaded the truck and Im 100% sure I paid that money directly to him. But he was very persistent in accusing me of not paying the fee. Over and over he is saying you didnt pay me the money. Im really confused because I just spent $2,000 on a bed and a couch. Why would I care about $80? That was very unprofessional! But other than that, everything else was perfect

I went to the store yesterday and Marcel (one of the sales associates) help me finding the right furniture I was looking for. He showed me all the option that they have and also showed me some other deals they have. He was very helpful. I’m very happy with the purchased. Totally recommend it!

We purchased a queen mattress set from here and it was a great experience. The customer service was excellent and the associate who served us was very informative of the products that were available, as well as being very people orianted. He answered all my questions regarding the mattress coils, plush vs firm, as well as many others. We tested several.We opted to take the set home ourselves and the young man who loaded our truck was helpful and courteous as well. I would definately recommend visiting this family-owned company. You will not be disappointed.

They are really unprofessional and will sell you broke furniture. I have pictures of what I bought and got it completely different. Dinning room table leg is BROKE call to speak to a manager and JAY always says there is no managers available. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, I wish a manager can give me a call this is unacceptable and very unprofessional.

Great experience getting furniture for my smaller apartment, they were great about letting me return furniture that was too big to fit in my apartment and they let me exchange for another set that fit perfectly. The salesmen at the counter I believe his name was Rajay was excellent when it came to customer services. I had a terrible experience with the warehouse manager TONY . He’s very unprofessional to be running a warehouse . At first he seemed like a respectable person but often times he would show up to work in a bad mood and he would yell at his staff for petty things and basically treat grown men like little children and that type of behavior shouldn’t be allowed in the work place. Negative energy doesn’t inspire people to work hard especially when it’s a team effort . So if you’re looking to get a job in the warehouse : BEWARE OF the scary old bald black dude TONY .

Went to the Harrisburg location about 2 years ago with the intent of purchasing a mattress. I ended up leaving with not only a new mattress set, but a new bedroom set as well. The prices are great and the merchandise has held up nicely. I have since returned and bought a dining room table as well. The employees are nice and helpful and not too pushy. Waiting for my refund check to go back in and purchase a new couch for my new house!

Called, said they were open to 5. They closed at 415. Terrible customer service and emoyees at door were extremely rude. Will never go back

If I could give this place a negative star, I would. To try to make this long story short, I had a small apartment in which I was told they had furniture to fit. I took measurements, brought them to the store and was assured the selection I picked would fit. The delivery men came and it didnt. The delivery men took measurements and I took the measurements back to the store. The sales rep again assured me that they had furniture that fit. Two more deliveries later it still wouldnt. I asked for a refund and was hassled about it but ultimately received it minus the 3 delivery fees they said they wouldnt charge me. The furniture was ok but like most sales people, all they wanted was a quick sale regardless if it was what I was asking for or not.

Lots of local options when it comes to shopping for furniture but Ive been happy each time Ive shopped at the Furniture & Mattress Discount King. Lots of brand name or Knick off furniture for less. Take them a picture of what you want and they can probably get it, at a much better price. Great staff and service.

Good prices but staff was unwilling to recommend we visit a different store to get the item we wanted. Instead they just gave options for ordering it through them when their other store had exactly what we wanted in stock.

The location isnt anything special and the quality isnt great on most the products. If you need something cheap they have it. I doubt the quality is great and if the product will last long. If you can Id recommend you spend more money and a nicer location, but it serves and real needed purpose of providing affordable furniture.

Since my husband and I first started dating and moved in together we’ve been using this company. Over the years we’ve bought 5 major furniture appliances here.. it’s been amazing and we’ve loved all of it.. everyone’s very friendly over all a great experience when you walk in! Then today.. we needed a new couch and we found one we really liked... got everything settled couch loaded into our truck and went on our way.. after getting home we measured everything and quickly learned before even removing the couch from our truck it wasn’t going to fit through our front door.. after contemplating how we could fit it we were looking at the couch.. the back of the couch had a huge chunk of metal sticking out of it! We called and the guy said we could bring it back getting something else real fast.. mind you we never removed the couch from our truck nothing.. we get there and the refuse to take the couch and love seat back claiming that we damaged it and that we removed it because it wasn’t in the same way they said they put it in.. after getting attitude from the warehouse manager who is accusing us of lying I completely flipped out and demanded to see the camera footage because we never removed the couch and the plastic wrap was already ripped when we got it.. they took a picture of the footage (image was blurry) and kept swiping through the photos real fast so we couldn’t actually get a good look.. finally the store manager steps in and we demand to see the real footage.. low and behold the couch and love seat are intact in there the same way they put it in because again we never touched it and there were rips in the plastic you can see it clear as day but they still refused to admit it... we had photo proof of the hunk of metal as well.. after arguing and them refusing to take it back they finally said if we gave them 40 extra dollars we could switch out the couch.. we found a new couch and completely inspected it before they loaded it.. but they didn’t even load it into our truck my father and husband had to do it themselves while the warehouse workers were acting a fool in the back and giving us dirty looks.. Id like to say I’m coming back for future purchases as since I’ve been with them for years and all my major furniture is through here but I will NEVER step foot in this store EVER again.. ridiculous that you can accuse me of lying when we’ve been purchasing with you for YEARS and try and not take the couch and love seat back over ripped PLASTIC WRAP unbelievable.. Never again

Went to Harrisburg location on March 09, 2016 purchase a sofa and love seat . I discover the fabric was not detach so I call sale agent. They do not except return unless approve my customer service on furniture defect from manufacture. On the day of delivery I made defect known to discount sales agent but they refuse to except furniture unless instruction by customer service . Today is 03/14/16 still discount king have not replace defective furniture reported to them on delivery day 3/10/2016.

We bought a 1500.00 california king mattress set from them 2 years ago. We just had to get a new mattress. After 2 years it was like I was lying in a valley. I weigh 160 lbs. Would never go there again.

I had an awesome experience at Furniture and Discount Store on May 17.2016. From the moment I walked in the store i was acknowledged with a warm welcome. The customer service from the sales person to the check out clerk was courteous. They were very patient while I decided what I wanted, explained the warranty options in detail. Explained what to expect with the delivery. The discounts are great so why dont you come over and Join the Kings Court where your actually treated like royalty.My initial experience with the store was great but once it was time for delivery the customer service is awful. I will never deal with the store again its not worth the aggravation. The delivery charge does not get furniture put together so its as good as ordering off line. As a single woman what am I supposed to do about putting a dinette set together. That information should have been provided at the first visit not when the furniture is delivered. My daughter got her furniture delivered out front of her house because the delivery guys said it wouldnt fit. I had to leave work for my daughter to get furniture up steps and into her apartment that these experienced guys just could not get into her apartment. Call the store and they stand by the fact that the delivery people said it wouldnt fit. No customer service there. There is so much to complain about. I received my dinette set with display model chairs and was told they couldnt be ordered. Really Im not paying for used chairs at all. Please make sure that you get the warranty on anything you purpose. My other daughter bought furniture in Feb. well the bottom is coming off and the springs are popping out. I call them and was told to contact GBS, really it hasnt been a year yet. This place is the dumps and any sale that you might get will just be frustration later

Reference for semi trucks. Easy off the freeway, but very tight backing. They are friendly inside just make sure to check your appointment, expecially if you are hauling for uber freight. Took about an hour to unload.

I sent my mom to this store and she bought a mattress set. When she got it home the bottom cover on the boxspring was ripped. They replaced it same day. She bought a gel foam queen set for 400. it was great service and low prices!!

When we got our furniture home 2 of the 3 pieces were damages (the leather was torn). The response I received was it was supposed to be inspected before leaving and the trailer was dirty. Ok how do you inspect furniture that is completely wrapped? If we unwrap it then it gets incredibly dirty and ruined transporting it home. The only part of the furniture that touched the dirty trailer was the bottom of the pieces and those parts are just fine. Very upset that my brand new furniture is now ruined and I have to buy new. I guess you get what you pay for $1400 down the drain. I will never use this company again

My wife and I purchased a new king size mattress which now has become one of the worst purchases weve ever made. Dont get me wrong, the store itself, located in Carlisle, PA, was great with the staff, etc. However, from the date of delivery until now, its been horrible. To start, the delivery truck put two gouges in our driveway, and didnt even have the common decency to notify us of their mishap. We noticed it later that day when heading out to check our mail. We immediately contacted the store, and they put a claim in. We were redirected to their customer service center, then redirected to the insurance company. After having numerous contractors, which they sent out, to do an estimate, tell us that a patch job was not the best way to go to properly fix the damage to the less than two year old driveway, we were then told we ourselves had to have a contractor come out to assess the damage. Upon having an estimate drawn up, the insurance company said theyd send their own person out to assess the situation. Between our $3000 estimate, and their less than $200 estimate, I have become very disgusted with this company. They refuse to pay for anything more than a patch job, not to mention continue to blow off our request for a refund of the $50 delivery fee we were charged. I will NEVER do business with this company again and HIGHLY suggest that if you do ever use them, you yourself deliver the furniture to your residence.

So the original furniture I ordered didn’t fit. I asked the store for a refund they said they only did refund in check form from the cooperate office. I against better judgement opted to select new furniture. That was suppose to be delivered on Monday. On Monday they store call to say it hasn’t arrived yet and should have it on Thursday. Yesterday I called to check the status the told me it hasn’t arrived and they don’t know when it will. They can call me whenever it does with not estimate timeframe. They somehow thought this was acceptable. I again asked for a refund and was giving the nonsense of not having the functionality to refund. So I had to call my bank and dispute the transaction.

The staff is great just bought a home and trying to furnish it, if I am return costumer and cash the delivery charge could be less actually stopping there tonight hope to get good deal again can i purchase and have things then

My experience with the sales people was wonderful! The contracted delivery service are a bunch of crooks. To have to pay 50 bucks to set up a dining set is crazy and lazy of whats supposed to be a professional company! My advice is if you dont have access to a truck shop elsewhere! I still need to purchase bedroom furniture I definitely will not be returning! The delivery guys asked my son if he wanted them to put the legs on the sofa.....pitiful! NEVER AGAIN!,
