Facility is great! Kristy is amazing my auto pay did not go through because something happened with my bank she called me the day it failed and let me know so I could get my payment in before the late fee went on my account! very appreciative that she is on top of her stuff there

I have been at this location since it first opened. Every single time I visit, Im treated with outstanding customer care. Kristy the Property Manager is absolutely amazing! She always greets me with a smile, shes incredibly helpful answering any questions I have, and the entire facility is immaculate. The operating hours fit perfectly into my schedule as well. I highly recommend this location and would give more than five stars if possible.

The Public Storage in Hicksville on South Oyster Bay Road is the best. The people at the front desk cannot be more helpful, any product you may need is right there. There are carts always available, it’s very safe and clean.

Worst experience ever! I had an emergency at my house and I needed to move a bunch of stuff out of my garage quick on a Saturday. I did a quick Google search and found this place near my home. I called and they told me I had until 9pm to move in. I reserved it, and I borrowed a large SUV, packed it up and went to the facility. What they dont tell you is they lock up all of the dollys at 5pm, so when I got there I had a ton of stuff to move and no cart. I called and they said that they lock them up because people steal them? How? I have to enter a code to get in the lot, enter a code to enter the building, enter a code to get in an elevator and supposedly they have security cameras, so how could anyone steal a dolly? It would be on camera. And only customers have access codes, so how hard would it be to catch someone? They obviously do not really have the security in place to protect your stuff that they claim they do if they cant prevent someone from stealing a dolly, right? I mean they are large and heavy, no one can just grab it and run away with it. The security they advertise is obviously a lie. How safe is my stuff really if by their own admission they are worried about their dollys from being stolen. And i guess you are just supposed to know this somehow, even though it goes against all logic. How can you move into a storage space without a dolly? Well, you have to carry one box at a time. It took forever and I threw out my back. I called them to see if they could help me somehow, and i was told that a manager would call me back in 15 minutes. Never happened! They already got me for month, but next month everything is coming out and going to a different company. They dont care about you and your stuff is definitely not safe there. Worst company ever!

I use Public Storage alot. Theyre great, easy going and the elevator has a code so you cant really go anywhere if your not supposed to be theyre. I also like to lock my girlfriend in the storage unit when shes annoying. LMAO. Great Place!!

Today I visited Public Storage with my wife we are planning to move out of state soon and we needed a couple of things, I’ve been coming to this property to buy all types of packing supplies and each time I come across Keila one of the managers at the property which has provided me with great customer service and a smile, not only Public storage has everything I need for my moving but they also have a great customer service and a clean facility, I will recommend to friends & family.

Keila helped my grandmother open and set up a storage unit to accommodate her move. Her explanations were explicit and left no room for confusion. I would highly recommend to my friends and family.

Me and my girlfriend Alison explained to her what we needed and she really went above and beyond in making sure we had a seamless experience. I’ve only had a unit at this location for 1 day, and I’m already satisfied with my decision. Not only was the unit a perfect size, for the price I got but the peace of mind I needed, and it’s perfect. The customer service was exceptional when I first went there. I wasn’t sure what kind of storage I would be needing for my business. But after going through reviews and distance, this Hicksville location seemed to be a good match. I wanted to be very thorough and understand all fees and courtesies . I was not disappointed ! Terrell was straight to the point and very honest about what units would best serve my needs. He was very patient with me and seemed very knowledgeable of the property. My only concern was that he was doing a lot at once. So I assured him I’d come back at another time. He changed my mind about any doubts after an apology and my partner and I agreed on the perfect space . So far it’s the cleanest of all the locations we’ve visited, and by far the most helpful staff. If it’s not too far, definitely give this location a try !

Moving can be so stressful, and having to store your belongings can also be stressful. However I visited this location and Keila helped me, gave me a tour of the facility and answered all of my questions. I went home and immediately reserved a unit! She called me the very next day to go over everything. Keila was beyond helpful, made the entire process so easy, and seamless. Zero stress with this location, everything was extremely clean, halls, front retail space, and most importantly the unit! We will be there for about a year and I I feel so comfortable (safe) leaving my items there. Definitely visit and give them a chance if needing storage!

I went to public storage in Hicksville and it was the best by far after going around the island to different locations. I was getting frustrated until I found this perfectly clean public storage. Tyrell was exceptional. very informative, outgoing, & really nice. I look forward to working with him again as I will be renting more storage units for my upcoming business. This facility is amazing! And a lot of that has to do with Kristy, the property manager. She goes above and beyond to ensure that you are assisted with all your needs, is super informative, and just so friendly! She really gets things done! The facility is very secure, with gate codes at multiple entrance points, and scores high on cleanliness. They really take pride in this location. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who needs to store near the Hicksville area.

I barely have time for reviews, but this team needed to be acknowledged ! I was accompanying my friend who was looking for local storage . We looked online and thought we’d visit a few. We got one estimate at another location and stopped at Public Storage next. We were greeted immediately by the staff . Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and eager to help ! My friend wound up renting the unit here. She raves about how clean and neat everything is ! I’ve gone back with her several times since and nothing has changed. Still the same great customer service and accuracy. I’ll definitely be storing at this location in the future!

Terrible customer service - no empathy for loyal customers. My family rented this unit after both my parents passed away. We were paying this out of the estate and would have to write checks to prepay for months at a time. I must have calendared the next payment incorrectly and realized I incurred a late fee. I immediately paid out of the estate - When I went there to bring the check I explained the situation and asked for a little sympathy to waive the $35 fee. They said this would have to go up to corporate. Then I was called and told they would not waive the fee. I was given a number to call to speak with the district manager. The manager would never call me back. The people at the desk are extremely unprofessional and the person I just got off the phone in a stern condescending manner said that I spoke with you in September I told you this wasnt approved - very nasty. Pretty much said your lucky we ever considered trying to waive the late fee. I have been a customer of public storage on and off for years. After this I will be arranging my plans and moving all of my stuff out of the unit this weekend. He then had the nerve to say that you can move out if you can pay the balance. The balance is not the problem - I have the money. The issue is that they would rather take the $35 then keep a loyal customer in a time of grief. I have been putting of getting this stuff because the memories are still too sad. instead of them taking the fee off and getting months more of my rent money - they decided to lose a customer for $35. I will never do business with this company again. I hope that $35 was worth losing my business and the business of my peers.

Fortunately, I’m able to say that my experience with management along with viewing a unit for my mother was great! Is spoke with Tyrell and he was able to give me the rundown of the different units, prices, etc. He was quite helpful with making the final decision. I used to have a unit with another company and it wasn’t the best but I’m thinking about switching now since my mother has one at this location and I’m quite a fan of cleanliness! A+ from me!!! First time needing to rent a storage space. Samantha made it easy to make the decision. I had gone online initially and went over the options since it was after hours. I was contacted first thing in the morning when they opened and set up a time to view the unit. Was able to easily change the time for the walk through. Samantha was clam and explained everything answered all of our questions. She was funny and kind. Staff seem to care about the facility and their patrons and learn to know them by name if they come frequently enough. Would recommend this facility to others who may need to rent a space.

Sweet, kind, genuine, knowledgeable with so many years of experience (and it shows), and always smiling and creating sunshine with every conversation. And dont even get me started on all the laughs youll have in the office with her! She manages the newest building in the district, it is also extremely secure, and clean and has unique locker units the others dont! (If theyre available, theyre a hit commodity! So hurry!) Jessica is fantastic at her job and the whole office staff including Samantha and the invisible guy are good-natured and welcoming.Brand new building . Spotless. I hope it stays like it is now.Not a reflection on the location, but the other fees and administration charges mentioned on the site when you are picking your unit include a mandatory insurance fee that doubles the initial $26 payment and gets added to the monthly rent that you get quoted on the site.You will be questioned thoroughly on what you plan to put in your unit.

Do not get a unit from this place....I rented a unit from a really nice and helpful woman that worked at public storage in Hicksville, NY. I just called a man that I can only describe as an arrogant, ignorant, hideous, combative thing that I assume is a human being because he had a mans voice....but really, who knows. I would like to think he if from some strange alien planet.

A good clean place to keep your extra stuff

I have been a customer at this location since March 2018. From my very first encounter with the staff here, I have been nothing less than completely satisfied. Christy, who I believe is the manager, is not only a sweetheart, but she has gone out of her way to help and assist with all of my questions and concerns numerous times. (And trust me, I had/have a bunch!) She is always 100% professional. Tyrell is also a great assist to this facility as well. The place is always extremely clean. I do however wish that they would get a garbage can for the ladies room ;) but other than that I have no complaints! I would highly recommend this place to anyone! **Also when I was first shopping around for storage places, this Public Storage location had the most reasonable prices around which was the main reason for me choosing this particular location but I am SO glad I did!! Thanks guys! :)
