After arriving to an appointment for both my son and I, we were seen immediately and handed paperwork to fill out while my son had his exam. I asked why we needed to fill everything out again and was told they were updating their system. I informed the doctor that my son had double coverage but there was only space for one insurance company. She casually said, oh no problem. and continued the exam. When it came time to check out, the lady informed me that they no longer accept double coverage. Nice.
Everyone was super helpful and friendly the whole time, they answered every one of my many little questions, they gave out a kit at the end of my visit for glasses care...just an absolute wonderful experience!!!
I needed an eye exam and new glasses and I had such a wonderful experience with the staff here today. The optometrist was professional, courteous and very skilled. He did a great job, was on time with my appointment, and explained everything he was doing. He walked me through my prescription and explained how my vision was changing and made me feel very comfortable.I needed new glasses so after my exam I got to work with Erica selecting my frames and lenses. I will say that I have never had so much fun shopping for glasses in the past 10 years of wearing them! I told Erica I needed to find a new style and I needed an expert opinion. She went above and beyond my expectations for customer service! She listened to me, gave great suggestions, patiently walked me through different styles and designs and she was so much fun to work with. I am so pleased with my experience and very grateful to the entire staff at RX Optical in North Holland.I will be returning for my next purchases and would strongly encourage everyone to come visit the team! My wife was given an appointment at 9:00 on Saturday. We sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes with no sings of anyone in the building. This very incompetent and rude on their part. Why would you give an appointment if your staff is not going to show up?
I am reluctant to go to RX optical again after years of going to the Northside store. This store just sold me frames that were in stock instead of ordering the correct sizes. Then they bent the frames outward so they would almost fit but require constant adjustment and cleaning. Bending them until they fit compromises the integrity of the frames.Also having an employee tell me that I had to come back while he was on duty and giving me his schedule so I could come pick up my glasses? How unprofessional was that? Could not anyone have handed over the glasses? Or bent the frames?I really went without an eye check for several years after seeing how they behaved.
I went here with recommendations from a few of my co-workers who have gone here. They were able to quickly schedule an eye doctor appointment before the holidays and were able to get me all set up with the glasses i needed and had them ready in a very timely manner. The staff and doctor were very polite and knowledgeable and make you feel right at home. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone who needs vision care or upkeep!

This Holland location is by far my favorite. Ive been to several other locations in Kalamazoo to get eye exams and new glasses but the staff here are Great! Especially Mark Clay, he cares about everyone who walks in. Ive worked with him on several different occasions. Yesterday I picked up my new pair of Red Ray Bans & love them! He helped me step out of my comfort zone by listening to what I liked & wanted out of my new glasses. Thanks again Mark, Ill be back soon with friends & family.
Wonderful staff and really nice doctor. Got everything done quickly and efficiently and answered all my questions cheerfully. However, they charged me a contact lens service fee separate from my insurance coverage. So even though I have insurance with a 10 dollar deductible, I ended up paying 40 dollars. I am going to look for a different optometrist next time.
I have dealt with RX Optical on the south side a few times and always had excellent service. Moved to the north side last year and today my prescription sun glasses broke, [ they lost a screw] so I walked in and asked for help. They helped me right away and walked out wearing my sun glasses and didnt pay a dime! They are very professional and really nice.

I switched here from a place over on Riley & 120th. I am really happy with the Doctor, and the Ophthalmologists have all been great. Dr. Jacquemin (sp?) is a fun goofy guy, and explains everything thoroughly as necessary. Their pricing seems far better than the last place I went, and all of my appointments have been within 24 hours of my phone call so far. Hard to beat that kind of service.
I went in to get my wifes eyeglasses repaired on a Saturday. They quickly put a temporary fix in place. Clean place, helpful people.
It sounds like theyve made some improvements with safety glasses and the person who helped me was amazingly helpful. So, for now, a neutral 3 stars as I wait to see how this next round goes...but 6 stars to Sarah! :)
Got here 5 mins early no one here they still made me wait 2mins past my appointment time. Wonderful staff though.
Came to this location with serious eye problems, I was told they could figure out my prescription. Had an eye exam, got a new set of lenses that still arent right. I was told they would call me within two weeks and that they CARED about my situation. Well, i never got that phone call, and my prescription is still wrong. Thanks Mark! Youre a real gem.
Visiting from out of town and 10 min before closing for a holiday they replaced a broken nosepiece for no charge!
