I couldnt even walk in and get a conversation, a woman named Rose Marie mustve been having a bad day at work or something. Longstory short. I walk in. She comes from the back of the room and already the greeting seems off. She seemed timid and annoyed. I asked if they had sunglasses and or glasses i could look at ans hopefully get a perscription for and she replied with well you would have to pay for them. Implying i was asking for free service. I have never insinuated or asked for anything free I was simply hoping she could provide the service she is paid to do. Sadly she could not. She refused to walk me over to look at the selection of glasses and offer any extra helpful advice or details about them. Then when I got upset and told her I felt disrespected she said she treats everyone that way and she doesnt see a problem with it. Im not sure who put her here in this position but they should remove her before they continue to gain a wrose and worse rep in her name. Im sure the service at RX Optical would have been glorious had i not come accross this lady today. Sadly i will never return to this store again or any of my family for that matter. Hoping this saves someone from wasting their time here. It didnt feel welcoming at all. I felt judged and undermined. She seemed like she didnt have any time for her job at all or a care in the world.

Jen always takes great care of me. Professional and friendly. I tried the north side office and very displeased with their customer service. Maybe Jen could teach them how to take care of customers. Didn’t get the name of the other employee today but she was taking great care of a customer also. A great leader leads great employees. Thank you Jen for the excellent service. They were very helpful to me when I needed my prescription put into safety glasses for work then 6 months later I needed new glasses with clear frames for work and all I had to do was call and drop off my current prescription couldn’t get any easier

This whole covid-19 thing maybe he has put a damper on my experience, but my first visit I wanted to use both of my insurances to order Contacts & Eyeglasses however, they almost didnt do it like that. So I almost had to come out of pocket for it. Then when I do get to order my glasses I was pretty much refused to be shown anything outside of what my insurance would cover; like I wouldnt pay for the rest of it. And when my glasses came in they were huge on my face, I was told it was because of size that the lenses were now vs when I tried them on. They said there was a small and a large I wanted to smaller frames. Apparently they got the right ones -even though the earpiece had to bend back 90 degrees to fit my face, they swore up and down they were the right size, after they were adjusted they were pushing my ears a bit forward so they lessened the bend to the earpieces and tried to bend the frame around a little bit and now they still fall off my face. Awesome. Never going back not to mention Ive never had the same optometrist twice in the last 5 years.*****update******Called for a refund of contacts (which I still havent recieved a week later) and glasses. Approx 300.00 out of pocket. Was told no that the glasses are customized for each customer. Im beyond done with this place. The REAL kicker is Ive been trying to wear them to get used to them, they keep falling down my face ear piece a good 1/4 inch off the back of my ear, have to take them off or they fall off if I bend over. Less then 24 hours later the left arm of the glasses is loose. Awesome!! Also after looking at the paperwork I was charged for a warranty....24.99 which I have never gotten they just assumed I wanted it I guess..? I Thank RX optical for messing up and not making it right. I will happily eat the 25 bucks on the warranty and go have your glasses repaired (less the 24 hours later) somewhere else.

Says they dont open till 930 which is not true and they give you the wrong appointment time been going here for 6+ years they lost my business for now on.

By far the best eye doctor Ive ever been to. Dr. Jammer is incredible! Ive never had an eye doctor who took the time to answer all of my questions so thoroughly - and to such a great level of detail. It shows that she really knows her stuff about the eye!The other opticians at the location were also very kind, courteous, helpful, and professional. Rose helped me find a pair of prescription sunglasses that looked good on my face. When they came in with a slight problem, she figured out what the issue was (slightly bent frame causing a strange sinking feeling in the vision) and replaced them at no additional charge. Rose also worked with my insurance plans to maximize my benefits (I was in the process of switching plans and she was able to get me benefits from both of them!)I highly recommend this location. Ive never enjoyed going to the eye doctor as much as I did here :)

Excellent the staff was helpful and friendly! Jennifer took the time to help me pick out glasses! During the exam the doctor explained everything and took the time to answers questions. Positive experience all the way around.

Helped me right away . Very friendly. Very thorough eye test . 4 stars only because they were Low on selection .I also got my glasses in just 2 days ......I love my new glasses !!!Thanks also goes to DR. Huizinga. He made me feel comfortable during my visit & i feel he did the most thorough eye exam ive had in the 3 years i been wearing glasses.

Great service! I’m back in the states only for a short bit of time & was a little nervous about getting contacts in time before I headed back out of the states. Jennifer was extremely helpful and was also able to assist with replacement RayBan lenses & repacement lenses on my old frames. There was no upselling, she was patient, kind and answered all 500 of my questions. Jennifer went above and beyond to expedite everything as well. I’ll be sticking with RX Optical South.

Very Bad experience. My advice to anyone who shops here is to make the sales person slow down and explain everything or you will be surprised with the price.I have eye insurance and they were charging me co-pays where I didnt have co pays. They gave me progressive lenses when all I wanted was bifocals. I didnt get to really shop for frames. They pushed me like the store was closing and it was morning. Not impressed. Im going somewhere else next time.

The staff at this location has really gone downhill. Our past experience has always been great - until this past Januarys visit. They are argumentative, pompous, demanding, unwilling to be helpful, degrading and just very off-putting. We will NEVER go back to this location again. Ive worn glasses/contacts for almost 40 years and this is by far the absolute most miserable experience Ive ever had.

Horrible Customer service. Tried twice to put in contacts with their contact class couldnt get them in either time. The optician just sat there and looked generally annoyed. gave little to no advice both times. Tried to order glasses and again the optician didnt help at all. wouldnt show me where the frames covered by my insurance were located. Asked for my prescription to order somewhere else, and they never did my pupilary distance, what did they do during my eye exam that i paid 40 bucks for? They told me I had to make another appointment for that. Terrible place lost my business, will never return to this place or probably any other rx optical, definitely wouldnt recommend.
