To me the most important question about an auto shop is: Are they trustworthy? In my experience over the past several years, for Pinnacle Automotive, the answer is a resounding YES! Of course since they are trustworthy, they also do great work at very fair prices. Dan, Derek, and the whole team always give helpful advice, and Ive never felt pressured into putting money into my vehicle for frivolous reasons. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Triangle!

So, a little background on me. I have some previous mechanical experience, no professional but enough to get me in trouble. On top of that I am very finicky and want things done right. I was referred by a friend to Pinnacle and have had several vehicles in for various repairs thus far. Pinnacle is amazing!!! Hands down. Derek is extremely knowledgeable and honest. When comparing automotive shops in this town it is important to do your research who does the best job whos the most informed and who gives the best price. Pinnacle Automotive is run by a group of guys who between them have got 70 plus years of Automotive know how. Any vehicle you bring them with any problem that it might have theyll be able to figure it out be honest with you and get it fixed Within a good amount of time.

BEWARE: After 18 years of loyalty I am extremely upset with the newest owners. 2 months to do a clutch, it took them 3 times to get it right. Then they dont answer or return phone calls. The newer management is horrible and service is unreliable. I have been referring people for 18 years, that stops now. Do Not Go Here.I have documentation, invoices and texts, to show you are not presenting the facts correctly in your reply.Also a professional would tell you to go somewhere else, not ignore you and the problems that they failed to correct on the vehicle . Most repair places try to sell you stuff you dont need. Pinnacle will tell you honestly what is wrong and fix the issue cheaper than the dealership. One competitor stated I needed $1500 in work, but pinnacle stated I didnt need that type of work and my repair cost was around $400

Just had a motor mount replaced and I can say hands down its the best experience I’ve had with auto repair. The owner took the time to come over and say hello (from a 6’ distance of course) and thank me for for my business. I felt so welcome that I had the crew do an oil change and it was the best price I’ve had for synthetic.My biggest compliment I can give is that I will be a repeat customer, thanks guys .

My window car failed one day before going on a trip, I called the guys from Pinnacle Automotive and they helped me on the same day, the even told me that if they couldnt repair the window on the same day they would find a way to get the window up and leave it stuck for the trip. After getting my Tahoe new tires put on and taking it to Meineke for alignment and new breaks, they completely messed up my alignment and caused an error / trouble light to come on which stayed that way for months because they didnt know how to fix it! I took my Tahoe into Pinnacle and they were extremely up front and honest, got the alignment fixed, and got the error message to go away all for a very reasonable price of what id expect to pay. Its hard to find a really good auto mechanic place, but Ive found one and cant see myself going anywhere else. BTW, the dealership wanted to charge me like $900 to fix it! No thanks.

Super nice guys and very professional. They do extremely quality work but it’s definitely pricey. I paid almost $80 for an oil change for a Honda Accord V4. I typically change the oil myself, full synthetic and oil filter from Advance for $30. Not to say I wouldn’t go back, just thought it was a little outrageous for an oil change.

Today I went to look at a used car that was for sale in the area. I brought the car to Pinnacle for them to do a “pre-purchase inspection”. The vehicle was a 2011 with 160k miles on it. I fully expected a mechanic to look it over for 15 minutes and to hear a generic “There’s a few rust spots, a few belts that need changing, etc” speech.Instead, they brought it in and had it in there for a quite a while. When they called me up to the desk, they had a very DETAILED description of various issues and potential issues that they found. They checked everything from electrical, to engine codes, to rust, to hoses and belts, etc. They let me know which issues were minor/inexpensive fixes, and which ones had the potential to turn into kind of expensive problems down the road. All of this was written in detail on an actual shop sheet.I felt very comfortable with making my decision after receiving the information that they provided. If I’m ever in the area looking for a used car again, this will be the shop that I take it to for a pre-inspection.

This place is great. I had to have my car towed in after it broke down so I could get to work, and Derrek and his staff worked quick to make sure I could get back on the road as soon as possible. I also appreciated the level of communication to keep me updated on the process and costs throughout the repair. Highly recommend due to quality and speed of service, fair prices, and good customer service.

Pinnacle Automotive is truly a refreshing experience in auto mechanics.In the past, I have had the displeasure of taking my car to mechanics and have always left the shop with a bad feeling. Great experience from honest people! We were able to get the recommended suspension repair completed on our Ford Edge for less than the dealership’s estimate. While it was at their shop, their general inspection found we needed routine brake work and we were glad to get that taken care of as well. We will be back!

Pinnacle Automotive is one of the few existing repair shops that treat all customers as family. You dont have to worry about receiving misleading information about whats wrong with your car for the benefit of the shop. Upfront, honest, high quality repairs at very fair prices. I refer all my friends, clients, and family to service their vehicles here and they only exceed everyones expectations!

Not a great experience. I do not recommend using them. Pinnacle automotive replaced one Valve lifter in my truck. Everything I have read or have been told, recommends replacing all of them. I trusted their recommendation. I drove 200 miles after I picked up the truck and the engine died. Only 200 miles! Same error message came up as before along with a new oil pressure issue. I had to get the truck towed and I stayed in a hotel overnight. Not one thing was offered for the inconvenience. I called Dan and told him the truck broke down and he said to let him know what was wrong. The mechanic said several other lifters were out and that he recommended replacing the engine based on the cost of repairs. Cost of new repairs exceeds $4k and cost of a new engine is around $5K. I called Dan and met with him face-to-face to discuss, he said would let me know what he could do. At that time, he offered a new engine at cost, but has not called once to follow up. I called and he answered and seemed flustered when he knew it was me. Pinnacle Automotive charged me just under $1k in labor for the one lifter they replaced. Not happy at all with their customer service once work was completed. Warranty? What warranty? I will never recommend this business.

What an absolute blessing! I wouldnt have wanted my transmission to fail anywhere else in the world but within the range of this shop because they were absolutely fantastic. With accurate quotes, hospitable receptionists, frequent updates, timely repairs, and quality workmanship I can say that I am a very happy costumer. On a rebuilt transmission I made it from Holly Springs to Daytona Beach, FL with no problems.

My daughters car started missing and throwing codes. We took it to Pinnacle and Dan said they would run a diagnostic and let us know. He called and said the problem was with a valve in the intake manifold and it had to be replaced as a unit. But he did some additional checking and found this was an issue covered under an extended warranty and we needed to take it to the dealer for coverage.His extra effort saved her a bunch of money that some other shop may have wanted to do themselves.Hats off to a great mechanic and an honest shop !!!

This shop is run by dishonest people that will try to rip you off! I had an issue with my brakes-the brake pedal was spongy and went nearly all the way to the floor making it rather unsafe to drive. This place tried to sell me a replacement of the rear brake pads and rotors (they said my rotors were somewhat rusted). The cost to repair these items saw approx $415.00.I took it to another reputable mechanic on the recommendation of a friend and was told the rear brakes simply needed to be bled and that the rear brakes were in good condition and did not need replacement. Never again will I take my vehicle to Pinnacle Auto...

I had a great experience all around. Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable mechanic. I took a vehicle in for prepurchase inspection. They took the time to explain the issues the vehicle currently had as well as what issues it could have later on. Before you ever buy a car always get it inspected and if you are in the Holly Springs area take it to Pinnacle Automotive.

Ive never been to a mechanic as professional, honest and gracious as Dan. I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor with a random noise that 3 mechanics including the dealer were unable to identify. Dan asked me to drop the car off and leave it with him and by the end of the day they had an answer and it made complete sense. He is very fair, and in the auto repair industry, probably too fair if it was possible. I would highly recommend Pinnacle to anyone for any repair needs. Their customer service is better than any place Ive been. I have to take my 1999 beetle in all the time and Dan is always fair and as helpful and honest in work as possible

Just because they are nice does not mean they are trustworthy. After inspecting my car I was told over the phone it would cost $1000 to replace my radiator. They said my AC would need to be removed and even quoted me for new frion. They quoted me 4 hours of labor. It just didnt feel like this was right. I have been bringing my vehicles to them and thought I could trust them. I had even referred several people to them. To make a long story short. I purchased a radiator with a life time guarantee for $90 from a local company and installed it myself in about an hour just from watching how to do it online. If your more expensive than other shops thats one thing but to lie about the extent of the work your going to provide is shameful. I will be sure to tell everyone about my terrible experience at Pinnacle Automotive. I would have given 0 stars if I could have. Current and new customers you cant say I didnt warn you. Above and beyond customer service. New to area found this place on Google search and had great ratings so I called to make an appointment for an oil change. The man on phone was helpful and kind, got me an appointment that week, and assured me there was space to wait with my 1.5 year old while the service was completed. They notified me that the air filter and wipers should be replaced, I said to go ahead with the cabin filter but Id have my husband change the wiper blades. When I checked out he said they had included the wiper blade change at no charge to me saying he knows how it goes Ill tell my husband and itll take some time to get them switched and I may get caught in the rain with a wiper blade that had the rubber hanging off. So sweet and kind, a small gesture meant a lot and he now has my business and recommendations to friends. Thank you Pinnacle Automotive!

I had a misfire in my 2004 F150 along with other issues and Pinnacle got me back on the road within 2 days! They also use OEM parts according to the Vehicle make. I will be returning for future repairs.

I took my Honda Odyssey to Pinnacle Auto today after many great reviews on my neighborhoods Nextdoor site. One more happy customer. They could have told me I needed new rotors and pads and I really wouldnt have known otherwise. Instead, they resurfaced my rotors and told me my brake pads were fine.Robin was more than knowledgeable and their waiting room is more like a living room. Kid friendly and free wifi.Give them your business They will do whats needed and hold off on whats not.
